TDS Deduction in Manual A/R Credit Memo

Hi Experts,
I am facing one problem regarding TDS deduction in A/R Credit Memo for a Customer. But this Credit Memo is not based on any A/R Invoice since this is to be posted for Commission .
SAP does not allow TDS deduction at A/R Credit Memo Document which is not based on any Base Document .
How to overcome this problem . Is there any workaround possible?
Thanks in advance.
Regards,
Pooja Singh.

Hi Pooja......
Yes you are right.
AR Credit memo if standalone it wont deduct TDS.
As a work around you can craete the customer as vendor and can raise AP Invoice where you can deduct TDS and then you may reconcile the document under multiple BPs in Internal recon.
I'm not sure but this may happen.
Please try what I suggested in Demo DB first......
But Logically it should work......

Rahul

  • Manually create --- Rebate Credit memo

    Hi Gurus,
How Can I create a Credit Memo manually which can fuction like a Rebate Credit memo in posting the credit to the G/L Accounts for rebate expenses.
we donot want to use the  Rebate agreements. As of standard SAP we cannot create any rebate credit memo manually with VA01, you will get an error. The reason for this is -- In order to track all payments within the rebate agreement, they have to originate from that rebate agreement.
    Is there any possibility?
    Thanks
    Ram

Yes, you can do but you will need to look for appropriate user exit where system is checking for the reference to rebate agreement and need to by-pass that check then you should be able to do this.
See for the user exit which is getting called for rebates. Let me know if you are not able to find it.

    Hello,
Thanks for you reply and i just want to know that.
If we assign the return order to the WBS element, the credit memo automatically has the WBS element assigned to it or do we have to manually assign the credit memo to a WBS element? if yes how?

  • A/P Credit Memo (Item Type) not to deduct quantity in inventory

    Hi,
    1. I purchased an item > supplier gave me invoice> I key in A/P Invoice (Item Type)
    2. Found out item was overpriced
    3. Supplier gave me Credit Note to adjust the price
How do I key in this credit note via A/P Credit Memo? To my understanding if I key in the a/p credit memo (item type), my inventory quantity will be deducted as well.

Because the item is over priced, it means that my inventory gl is over stated. When I get the supplier's CN, I will have to reduce the inventory gl. When I create a Service Type A/P Credit Memo I must choose inventory gl. But this will create another problem - Inventory Audit Report balance will not tally with Inventory gl balance (because i didn't reduce the item price in the first place). To solve this is to do a Inventory Revaluation.
Hi Lay Chin, what you suggested is the best option so far.
Thank you everyone for the reply.

  • Manual AP Credit Memo- Need to change Withholind tax Liable to YES

    Hi ALL
We created Manual AP Invoice for a supplier  ( Service Type) and there should be a witholding tax involve.
When we tried to change the withholding tax from NO to YES, we cannot seem to edit the Field.
We already check the Business partner Master data. The BP we use has a default wihlding tax already.
We already closed SAP B1 and record the same transaction hoping that we need to refreash the set up before we can edit the Wiholding tax from NO to YES
Can anyone tell me if we can change the Withholding tax liable field from NO to YES if we create manual AP Credit Memo? Is yes how?
We are currently using 2005B PL 43

    Hi,
Following points may be helpful regarding your issue :
    >A credit memo which is not based on an invoice is not liable to WT.
    >In a credit memo which is based on an invoice, the WT amounts will be taken from the invoice.
    >You can change the WT amount in the Credit Memo only if the invoice is not closed or parially closed.
    >You cannot choose a WT code that is not related to the invoice.
    >In addition, the WT amount cannot be higher than the WT amount in the invoice.
    Hope it helps.

  • Allow manual price entry in Debit/Credit memo request but not in STD Order

The same pricing procedure is used for Standard order and Debit/Credit say ZRVA01.
All condition types in ZRVA01 is set to "D" - not possible to process manually in V/06 since business requirement is not allow for manual pricing in sales order creation.
When the Debit/Credit note is created(despite of create w/ or w/o reference to billing document), we need to have the user be able to overwrite the price value, able to delete condition type Surcharge, Discount since in some cases for the credit note, the original price might be too high and we only need to credit the customer for the wrong price.
Question is how to allow 'no limitation'  (change with can be made, field Manaual entries in V/06) for all condtion types in pricing procedure but only for Debit/Credit memo request ?

Thank you all, but if I create new condition to allow manual, how could I overwrite or delete some non relevant condition type in credit note
i.e. in STD order we have ZPR0 (base price), ZD01(discount), ZS01(surcharge)  and we found out  that the ZPR0 and ZS01 was over charged, hence, we need to issue the Credit note to the customer, when create a credit memo request, the user will be able to change the value in ZPR0 and ZS01 and be able to delete ZD01 (as it is non relevant for credit note). How such the new condition type would applied?

  • Credit Memo and manual JV in same G/L Accnt?

    Dear experts,
I have a return sales scenario created here.
When credit memo is created and released (for sales return) the accounting document posts the ED recovered in G/L account 500140.
Now when i create excise invoice and use additional excise in J1IH for return sales an accounting document is created for return sales. The accounting document posts the MODVAT RECV in different G/L account (G/L Accnt no. 360110).
The user want both the G/L accounts to be same. Is this possible or advisable? Pls help me.
    Regards,

    Hi
Both these scenarios are driven by different Excise Transaction types. Basically J1IH -> Differential Excise is used for Cenvat availment which should go to the GL account as specified by you. This Excise transaction type (DIEX) is more frequently used by MM. It is basically for reconciliation purpose it is better to keep two different accounts. If you have the same GL account for both the excise transaction types, it will be difficult to reconcile and identify the net Cenvat credit to be availed and the Net amount payable to Excise Department.
If you still want to have the same GL account for both the excise transaction types then change the Account assignment for these Excise transaction types in the configuration
Logistics (General) _> Tax on Goods movement -> India -> Account Determination -> Specify GL account per Excise Transaction and Specify Excise account per Excise Transaction

  • Is it possible to deduct the amount of old A/R Credit Memo from new Sales invoice against the same customer ?

    Dear Friends,
this issue is for my client which is in Retail Industry.
In sales when customer is buying items of Price 1000 and want's adjustment of Credit Memo Of Price 700 in this Invoice we have to do the following process :
    1) Change The Payment Terms Immediate To Another like Net 30 (Because there is a default payment terms Immediate for all customer)
    2) Add that invoice of Price 1000.
    3) Open Incoming Payment-->Select Customer-->Select Credit Memo of 700-->Select that price 1000 invoice and collect remaining payment by payment means.
But this process is difficult to follow in Retail Industry. In all cases they collect the payment by Payment Means in A/R Invoice because there is a Payment Terms Immediate for all customers.
Is there any process by which we can select the credit memo like process in which we use for advance payment ?
or   any other way to simplify this process ?

    Hi Swapnil Vichare...
Create a credit Note 1st , then make a invoice with the credit note amount open.. and using the reconcilation you need to reconcile all the trascation...
No other possible ways, but using sdk you can develop..

  • Manually applied Credit Memo

I am not sure if this is the correct form for this question, but I will start bey asking it here.
I am creating a statement using the SDK/VB.net. I am trying to show Open Invoices with partial payments
or Credit memos applied againstthe Invoice. I understand how to join the tables (ORIN & RIN1) for a Credit Memo
that the system applied to and Invoice(s) but Credit Memos that are applied using the Internal Reconcilation are joined differently.
Could some one point me in the direction of what tables are updated to Join a Credit Memo to an Invoice if Internal Reconcilation is used to Apply a Credit Memo to an Invoice? And is there any documentation to explain the relationship?
And if this is not the correct forum, please point me to the correct forum or this question!
    Thanks in advance!!
    Dana

    Hi Dana,
What version of SBO are you using? The reconciliation process has changed significantly between versions 2005 and 2007 so the query requirements are quite different.
For 2007A, the ITR1 table contains details on any matching that's been done. The SrcObjType column holds the transaction type (13 for an AR invoice and 14 for a AR Credit Note) and SrcObjAbs holds the DocEntry.
I had to write a statement in Crystal for a client who had multi-currency business partners and who used down-payment invoices. It was impossible to use a single query to generate the data so I ended up writing a stored procedure to collate the data. This used the JDT1 table to get a list of transactions on the BP's account and then used the ITR1 table to work out how much of each document was still outstanding.
    Kind Regards,
    Owen

  • Credit Memo -error

    Hi
While doing credit memo for a PO,we are geting the Following error.
Reverse qty greater than qty credited so far
    Message no. M8476
    Diagnosis
The quantity reversed cannot be larger than the quantity credited to date, since the quantity credited is reduced by the quantity in the reversal when the invoice is posted.
    Procedure
Correct what you entered in the Quantity field.
    Can you clarify on this
    Thanks & Regards
    Madhav

    Hi,
The error indicates that you have manually changed the quantities, copied automatically from the purchase order/GR.
The concept you have to understand is that: If you cancel the Invoice posted against the PO, then system will create automatically a Credit memo in the backend. So, there is no need to make a credit memo again. You can just cancel the invoice posted already.
If you want to deduct some amount, which you feel has been paid excess, then you post a subsequent debit note
    Thanks,
    Shree

  • Add Non-rebate Condition Types to Rebate Credit Memo

    Hi guys,
I have a requirement as follows. The client wants to make some deductions from their customers rebate settlement credit memo as follows:
    Customer's sales volume = 52,000,000.00
    Rebate value due is 5% =  2,600,000.00
        DEDUCTIONS
10%  Withholding tax due on Rebate value =     260,000.00
Management fee of 0.75% of turnover =      390,000
        5%  Vat on Management Fees =                    19,500.00
    *         Payable to the Customer = 1,930,500.00 (This is the value to be credited to the customer's account).
I don't have a problem with the withholding tax. However, for the other deductions the issues I have are as follows:
    1. Condition types that are not rebates or taxes do not show on the the rebate credit memo B1. The analysis says that they have been manually removed. How do I get it to show?
    2. Output tax (MWST) is always added in the invoice, however in this case the customer wants the output tax to be deducted. Can this be done?
    Thanks for your help
    Regards,
    Olufisayo

    Hello Swati,
the suggestion of JP is correct.
    I explain it better.
    - the document type of FI document created from SD depends on the customizing of billing type field TVFK-BLART. If it is blank, then by default is 'RV'.
    - if the number range assigned to the account document type is External, then the FI document gets the same number of the SD invoice.
    - transaction VBOF creates FI document referred to SD invoice. If it has external number range, and an FI document already exist with same number (created when SD invoice has been released to accounting), then the errof F5152 occurs.
    SOLUTION:
in the selection screen of VBOF there is the field FI-Doc-type. Here you should specify the FI document type that should be created by execution of VBOF, and of course it must have number range internal.
    Please try this.
    Best regards,
    Ivano.

  • Wrongly Invoiced in Credit Memo

    Hello Gurus,
we are creating an Credit Memo Using "MIRO".
we  wrongly debited to the customer and credited to GRIR Account.
Posting Keys Used(21-for customerr and 96- for GRIR account.
Actual Payment to be sent is "$8700.00"
By doing this transaction which we wrongly debited the customer is $625.
And we had sent a check for $8075 which he already cashed it.
Now i need to know how do i reverse the transaction of wrong debit and credit and send a fresh payment for $625.
when i am trying to do manual adjustments to the GRIR account i am getting error "can only be posted to internally in code"
please advise me in this regard.
    thanks,
    anand

    Hi Anand,
Basically you cannot post to an GR/IR account manually.
If i understand correctly, you want to deduct $625 from your vendor invoice of $8700 & wanted to pay him the net of $8075.
In this process during initial credit memo creation you credited to GR/IR account wrongly, instead of specifying an Exp account.
If this is the case, then
1.Reset the cleared items (Hoping that the payment run of 8075, had cleared your invoice and credit memo) T.Code : FBRA.
2.Reverse your FI document (that got created during MIRO)
    3. Re-book the Credit memo, with correct Credit to appropriate account.
4.Manually clear the Open items (Invoice, credit memo against payment).
Hopefully, i am in line with your query.
If not please give some more details.
    Thanks
    Kalyan
