Teamviewer with Navigation rule in WD Abap application

Hi,
We are facing a problem with the team viewer on MSS in one of the WD Abap based application.
we are using our own custom built function modules in the root/navigation/target object rules. But there is no output in the teamviewer when this option is selected.
But the same works fine in a Java based application on MSS.
Any separate coding required for abap based teamviewers ?
Pls. help.

Do you know if ypur WD abap application is using team viewer Views ? Are you pass custom OADP view as parameter to WD A ? Which are of MSS you are referring to and what is the WD A application ?

I have been stuck for some time with a navigation problem: It seems my faces DD is read but the navigations rules are not. Unfortunately it does not give me any exception. The only thing that occurs is that the home page reloads itself instead of redirecting to the second page.

Hi,
I added a messages component to your home.jsp page and saw that the page produced validation errors (often the cause for failed navigation).
The problem is that the beans property minimumNote expects an int but gets a String. When you change the the type in the bean to String it works.
You will probably want to add a converter to the uicomponent to get the correct type. I'd be happy to tell you how, but I'm just starting with jsf ;-).

Problem with navigation-rules

I'm using Jboss Jbpm with JSF and I want to navigate to other page when I fill a form and I send the data that I entered. I have declare the navigation-rules but it doesn't work and I don't know why.
In my faces-config.xml I've added the navigation-rules:

Any ideas? Could it be that I have to add something more in the faces-config.xml & web.xml file???

I found the solution to my problem but I don't really understand why it was not working. My problem was due to the use of command button with a render set to false. I just put them at true and all my navigation rules work!
If someone know why it was not working, I would be glad to know!

Problems with navigation when deploy application on WebLogic 10.3

Hi! I have problems with navigation when I deploy my application on Weblogic server 10.3. In my application I have two pages. One page where I can see the records. In this page I have button Create with action to secound jspx page. When I press this button then the first form (where I could see all records) is empty - the create operation worked, but navigation to second page not. Navigation rules is in adf task flow. In default server all works correct. Where is the problem?
Maybe when I deploy my application I need specialy deploy adf task flow or somewhere write something? If so, then can you explain me where? Any suggestions what to do.

Navigation Rule Error

Hi
I am using Jdev 10.3.4.
I have developed a 3 page project. It contains a central page with navigation rules to the secondary pages. I have implemented navigation rules and then changed the retun navigation to a global navigation rule (*). When I change the redirect properties too true for all the navigation rules I need to click twice on the command button before navigation takes place. This occurs only when I navigate too the pages for the first time, thereafter it only requiresa single click. Reversing the redirect property to false, does not solve the issue.
Is this a common occurence. If so what cause it and what is the solution?

I have since doing further tests, actually found that the navigation is working. The problem seems to be that the browser has not refreshed the old page and when clicking on the navigation component first refreshes the page and then the changed navigation works fine. Has anybody experienced this before, that the previous version of the page is rendered and when performing an action on the old page it refreshes the page and then only can changes be tested.

JSF navigation rules sent me to different page, with same URL

Hello everybody,
Have a newbie question on JSF, if anyone can help me. I am using JSF for a web application, and i have a small problem.
If i define a navigation rule, from one page to another, and i am having a button that should send me to another page,
the browser URL remains the same, although the page content IS correctly changed.

You're welcome.
Though I should have added that the advantage of the redirect after a POST request is that refreshing the request or navigating back and forward by browser history doesn't cause a re-submit of the POST request anymore. This way you avoid duplication of submitted data. This is called POST-redirect-GET pattern. Refreshing the request after a redirect (which is always a GET request) would only cause the redirect being refreshed, not the initiating POST request.
The disadvantage of a forward is less or more obvious: the URL remains the same and it is not really good for the user experience. If one copypasted the URL in a new window (a new GET request), one wouldn't see the forwarded page, but the originating page. That's why I would recommend to avoid navigation cases and just use the same page to postback the POST request to. For normal page-to-page navigation within a website, I would recommend just using outputlinks and not commandlinks with navigation cases. It's all better for the user experience.

Issues with portal integration of Web dynpro for ABAP application

I have the following issues when i integrate a Web Dynpro for ABAP application with portal.
1. the iview does not contain some images, such as table scroll button images, maximize and close buttons of popups etc.
2. the iview loads properly, but there is an error in the status bar that says "Access denied"
3. is it possible to do absolute navigation from
   role1->folder1->iview1 to role1->folder2->iview2?
   when i fire this navigation from the webdynpro
   application, the navigation does not happen in the
   portal.

By supplying a URL as the value of the input text, it isn't going to magically go read the content from the remote location and convert that to a binary string. It is going to take whatever value you supply in th importing TEXT parameter convert that to binary. In other words it is literally converting the string http://xxx/test.xls to binary. You will need some other mechanism to read the content from the remote location into ABAP memory before you can process it. You will need to use the CL_HTTP_CLIENT class or call some sort of web service to retrive the content.

Excel with contents in web dynpro for ABAP application

I have excel file (example "http://xxxx/test.xls") with contents in remote system. I want to incorporate this excel file into my web dynpro application. For this I used Officecontrol UI element and set the following properties for Officecontrol
1. datasource : binding with context attribute DATAS(xstring)
2. document type : ms_excel
I wrote code the following code in WDDOMODIFYVIEW method.

I already created the system object R/3 Backend.
Actually some WebDynpro java applications/iViews are currently running on Portal. and the developers developed these in NWDS and deployed the .sca files on the Portal server and we created Webdynpro for java iViews.
but now the requirement is creation of webDynpro for ABAP views.
The developers developed WebDynpro for ABAP on the R/3 system. So what are the parameter values we need to give at teh time of creation of WebDynpro for ABAP iview like the Namespace, Application name etc which are mandatory values and how the Portal server detects the application, this means no need to deploy the application on the Portal server?
Shall we need to maintain any JCo Destinations or not?
Pl share your ideas.

I have another machine, named PC2, and create a mapping and forward request to PC1. Therefore, if anyone type the url: [ http://*{color:#0000ff}pc2{color}*/subSection/{color:#008000}myApp{color}/{color:#ff6600}*page1.jsf*{color} ] , actuality, they are looking for [ http://{color:#0000ff}*pc1:8080*{color}/{color:#008000}myApp{color}/*{color:#ff6600}page1.jsf{color}* ].

i have created one web dynpro abap application. i created one theme XYZ in portal with required font size. when i applied this theme on portal all web dynpro application use this theme.
i want to use current theme for one application not for all.
is it poosible to call an web dynpro abap appl with the particular theme where as others should not be temper with this theme.

F4 help issue with Webdynpro ABAP application

Hi,
I am facing a strange issue with the F4 help in my webdynpro abap application.
I have few fields for Purchase Order and Line item on the screen and they have corresponding F4 helps associated with them.
When i select for F4 help, sometimes the screen simply blanks out and a white screen is displayed. When i refresh the screen and try the same scenario again, i can see the value list correctly.
This issue occurs very randomly with no specific pattern. If anyone else has faced this issue earlier, kindly let me know how to get rid of this issue.
Any pointers to resolve this issue will be helpful.
Note: I am using SAP version 702 SP09.

Hi,
we cannot help you from offline, you need to check the standard procedures like
SICF->is your application node is active.
FQDN->check fully qualified name is configured
You can also try to execute standard SAP application, if sap application also has problem running then you may have to get the help of BASiS people to look into that and raise a support ticket.
If sap applications are running and your custom developed applications are not running then look into this application if there is any URL parameters need to supply etc.
