Technical difficulties all day?

Hi, I just started Podcasting today. I am using WordPress with the podPress plugin. All of the other directories that podpress produces for have been successful---except iTunes.
The feed is valid RSS 2.0, but every time I try and submit it, I'm told that "We are currently experiencing tehcnical difficulties. Please try again later."
I've been trying for all day, so I think it's me... I've tried on iTunes 7.4 7.4.1 on MacOS, XP, and Vista. Same result.
Feed is http://stormsemploymentlaw.com/?feed=podcast
Help!

I'd recommend that everyone give it a rest for a day or two...so the the server isn't overwhelmed by repeated submission attempts. Hopefully Apple will have straightened it out by then. Last time this happened it was a real mess and was probably complicated by everyone trying to repeatedly submit their podcast every couple of minutes.

  • Submitting a podcast - technical difficulties

I just tried submitting a new podcast, but I keep getting a technical difficulties message.
Searching this board, I see this problem occurred in April and again earlier in June. Is this one ongoing problem, or is it intermittent, where it might allow me to submit in a day or so?
As far as I know, my feed is fine. I can add it through the Advanced menu in itunes. But I'd like to get it added to iTunes itself so people can search/find it easier.

    Any ideas?

Yes, the feed is fine. This presumably means that they are having some sort of problem at the server, and all you can do is to give it a bit and try again.

  • "We're experiencing technical difficulties at this time...."

I'm at a loss. Been trying to submit this feed for at least 3 days and continually receive the same dreaded "We're experiencing technical difficulties at this time. Please try again later." It reminds me of the historic "foobar" error message that never pointed to the problem in such a way that a person could find the problem.
True, this is my first podcast work and the first one I've submitted to iTunes. Which means that the problem must be somewhere within my work and not a problem within iTunes. I've been in contact (e-mail) with a couple of support technicians in Podcast heaven. One suggested that I go back and reread the specs, which I did. Following that, change the title and link information in case iTunes Store thinks it's an duplicate to another submission, which I also did - several times. The other tech guy asked me to send him the last for digits of the credit card information along with the account password (I wouldn't think they would need that information to check into the problem) and he would try to submit it for me to see if he could get it to work.
So, where am I after spending all these hours: I can bring up the feed in my browser, it passes the validation tests, and I can subscribe to the feed manually within iTunes. Anybody have any thoughts?
    The feed is at http://www.tlcfhaz.org/worship/podcast/rss.xml
    What am I doing wrong?

Not a solution yet, but received the following from one of the tech people I've been e-mailing back & forth with.
"I'm sorry that you have been unable to submit your podcast. The podcast submission form is currently offline. When trying to submit the podcast you will receive this message "We are Currently Experienced Technical Difficulties". Once the issue has been resolved, I would be glad to inform you.
Apple is currently working toward a resolution for the issue you have reported. You will receive an email after the matter has been investigated and further information is available."
Who knows, maybe the problem isn't with my feed after all.

  • Itunes store - technical difficulties - 6 weeks?!!!!!

I purchased an ipod nano 8gb in mid February.
So far, it is a not-so-good paperweight.
I have been trying to sign into the itunes store almost every day, several times a day, and when I try to sign in, it comes back "experiencing technical difficulties, please try again later". I have called Apple and they are of NO HELP. They do not understand it either.
Is anyone else able to sign into the store?

    Thanks for trying to help.
When I try to sign in, the first message I get is: This Apple ID has not yet been used with the iTunes store. Please review your account information.
So I click "Review". Which brings up the legal gobbilty-gook agreement. I check the "I agree" line and click "Continue".
Next, it asks for a payment type. I've tried 3 different VISA's, a Mastercard, and a Discover. Also my long-time Paypal account. All accounts are good, active and open. Even with Paypal, I always get a confirmation via email saying the account is "all good".
Yet, every time, I click "Done" on this screen, it always comes back with "we are experiencing technical difficulties. Please try again later". Yeah, much later. Like never.
    Just frustrated.

  • Payment Info for iTunes store - technical difficulties? tried multiple time

    Hi all,
I'm kind of new to these forums but I have a problem...
I have been trying to activate an iTunes store account for a while and I have my email and password and everything set up but when I try and "review payment information" (which a dialog box tells me to do every time I sign in), I agree to the terms, I enter everything - address, phone, card information, all that, and I keep getting a red error message at the top of the screen saying "We are sorry, the iTunes store is experiencing technical difficulties at this time. Please try again later." Or something of that sort. It is getting really annoying and I'm getting really frustrated because all I want to do is activate my account!!! It seems like every time I try and sign up for something with Apple, they are always "experiencing technical difficulties" or I am told "try again later". It gets really old really fast.
Has anyone had this problem? Better yet fixed it? Maybe its my ISP?
Anyone who is willing to help me out with the iTunes issue would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks!
    Alex

    You are not alone!
I've had an account for a long time but for the past few days I've been unable to buy anything because I find myself stuck in a loop. Every single time I try to make a purchase I have to click a Billing info button and then check my payment details which haven't changed and worked fine before. I've tried removing my payment details and re-entering them but now I'm presented with a message that payment processing is not available, please try again later.
It seems the store is having problems and for me it was fine before the iPhone, App Store and MobileMe launches so I'm guessing there's a connection.
Best thing to do is contact iTunes Support which have always been helpful for me on the few times I've had to contact them.

  • All day events one day out (early)

    Hi
I sync my iPhone 3GS calendar with my Outlook 2003 calendar and yesterday noticed that any All day events were listed on my iPhone for the day before they are listed on Outlook. I have completely deleted my calendar and restored it (which seems difficult in itself) and completely restored my iPhone as well to no avail. What am I doing wrong and how do I rectify this issue. BTW I have only noticed this in the last week and strangely any all day events prior to this week were correct - I can only presume this is something to do with the clocks going forward here (UK) last weekend?
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
    Thanks
    Nigel

Another one suffering the effects of this, most annoying.
It does seem to be effected by ALL DAY events only.
If i remember rightly, when i updated to the latest version of iTunes, all of my ALL DAY events ended up changing to be spread over 2 days. Initially i thought little of it and made the changes, but it has go worse.
If i create and ALL DAY event on the iPhone, when i sink with Outlook, it shows the all day event as running from 0100hrs on the day i set to 0100hrs the following day, thus spreading the all day event over 2 days.
Definately think this is a day light saving issue affecting people in the UK?
I presume a fix hasn't been found yet, I certainly hope Apple are fixing it.

  • Daylight savings all-day events issues in updated iCal for iPad

After purchasing new MBP, Genius Bar told me to update to new iCal. I have noticed that any all-day events taking place on the date that daylight savings begins (3/13/11 i.e.) lasts on iPad's iCal for two days. When I attempt to edit, event still displays for two days. Guessing it is because that day technically lasts for only 23 hours. Genius Bar consultant had no suggestions for a remedy. This error appears for 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014 daylight savings beginning dates. The error doesn't seem to be a problem for the MBP or my iPhone.

I've experienced the same problem.  I set up a recurring one day event on the first of each month - come April 1 in 2012 the event is spread over 2 days (the end of daylight savings time in Australia) from April onwards.  I can muck around with the event and have it set at one day from April1 onwards in 2012 but there's a recurring event bug related to daylight savings.  I wonder if any alarms people have set for that day will again experience the problems from the past?

  • Latest Organizer update in the Blackberry Desktop Software does not sync Outlook 'all day events' in Calendar properly

    On my Blackberry Torch 9810:
When syncing with Microsoft Outlook 2007 for an 'all day event' in Calendar, Outlook stores the appointment as from 12:00am to 12:00am so Blackberry Organizer thinks it is an appointment for 2 days rather than one.
So for example if you make an 'all day event' entry for Feb 25 in Outlook, Blackberry Organizer syncs it on the device as an "all day event" on Feb 25 and Feb 26.  Very annoying indeed!
Technically Outlook should store it as 12:00am to 11:59pm for a one day
event.    But since they don't, I hope Blackberry will fix Desktop Organizer
Software to cope with this issue and send out a new update!
Does anyone know anything about this?

I was getting a similar problem... birthday and anniversary and some other all-day events (but not all!) in Outlook were being set to either 1pm-1pm or 2pm-to-2pm, from the day before to the day of the actual event.  e.g. my New Years Day event was being set as starting 31 Dec 1pm and ending 1 Jan 1pm.  The 2pm vs 1pm difference seemed to correlate to the times of the year without/with daylight savings.
Presumably I'm seeing 1pm or 2pm and not 12am-12am due to my own time zone (GMT +10).
I made the change recommended by Bifocals and it has fixed this problem.  However, I did need to -manually- go through and change all the events in Outlook back to be proper all day events - that did not happen automatically.
For those (like I was) wondering how to set the "the corresponding options on the Blackberry"... you open the Blackberry Calendar, then hit the application button, then scroll to Options then General Options.  The Start of Day and End of Day settings are what need to match Outlook.  FYI, I have a Bold 9000 and am using Outlook 2007.
I'm really hoping that when I next upgrade my Blackberry software that it retains this setting change.  I find it really annoying that some (or all?) other settings (e.g. Mobile Network: Data Services & While Roaming) are reset to defaults on every software upgrade, meaning I have to remember what I set and to go back and set them again after an upgrade.  Grrrrr.....

  • Outlook multi-day (not 'all day') meeting requests showing up as 1 day off on iphone attached Activesync Exchange 2010 accounts

    Exchange 2010 SP2 Server
iPhone iOS 5.01 (4/4s) using ActiveSync
    Outlook 2007 clients
When multi-day (not 'all day') meeting requests or appointments are being sent to email accounts which have an iPhone attached to the Exchange account via ActiveSync, the iPhone accepts the meeting request but then moves the event one day later than what it was originally scheduled and posts it to Outlook - also 1 day later than it is supposed to be.
For example:  A meeting request comes into my that is schedule for 9AM-4PM M-W but when I accept it on my iphone it gets posted to my calendar as an ALL DAY event but T-Thu
We upgraded to Exchange SP2 because some of the threads were alluding that SP2 would fix it - it didn't.  I know the fix is to rip out the event to separate calendar events but this will not work for reqeusts coming from outside.  And this is too tedious.  If anything, it is a serious bug.
    Anybody seen this before?
    Thanks,
    Monty.

I am experiencing a similar problem with a client of mine who is using Microsoft's Cloud-based Exchange server, Office 365.  I suspect the Office 365 server is an Exchange 2010 server, similar to your environment.  Check out my tests below which I think define when the day shifting happens.
I see that you applied SP2 to your Exchange 2010 environment, but have you also applied Update Rollup 1?  See this article:  http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2563324.  It would be interesting to know whether that rollup resolves your problem.
I have done some pretty extensive testing and have posted in the Office 365 Support Forum (http://community.office365.com/en-us/f/146/p/53396/192332.aspx#192332)  Here is a summary of my testing.
I am having the exact same problem described by Jim Edmonds and jkwmail (http://community.office365.com/en-us/f/176/p/19921/93304.aspx#93304) with one of my clients who is not very happy about this or our inability to resolve the problem.  Here is what I am experiencing:
When an appointment in Office 365 spans multiple days, the appointment gets converted to an All Day Event and moved forward one day on an iPhone ActiveSync client.
I have completed the following troubleshooting:
1 - Using my GMail Account and my work email account on MS Exchange 2007 SP 2 Server I created separate single day appointments in the morning from each account spanning two hours and invited my client who is using MS Outlook 2010 and Office 365.
Result:  The appointments show the correct date and time on my Outlook, MS Exchange 2007 SP 2 OWA, and iPhone as well as my client's Outlook, Office 365 webmail, and iPhone.
2 - Using my GMail Account and my work email account on MS Exchange 2007 SP 2 Server I created separate single day appointments in the afternoon from each account spanning two hours and invited my client who is using MS Outlook 2010 and Office 365.
Result:  The appointments show the correct date and time on my Outlook, MS Exchange 2007 SP 2 OWA, and iPhone as well as my client's Outlook, Office 365 webmail, and iPhone.
3 - Using my GMail Account and my work email account on MS Exchange 2007 SP 2 Server I created separate multi-day appointments from Friday at 5 PM to Monday at 8 AM from each account and invited my client who is using MS Outlook 2010 and Office 365.
Result:  The appointments show the correct date and time on my Outlook, MS Exchange 2007 SP 2 OWA, and iPhone as well as my client's Outlook and Office 365 webmail.  However, on my client's iPhone, the time on the appointments had changed to an all day event and the start date was shifted one day forward, Saturday, and the end date was Monday unless the appointment end time was after the appointment start time in which case it created an All Day Event on Tuesday as well.  For Example:  If the appointment was from 8 AM Friday Morning to 8 AM Monday Morning, the iPhone would show an All Day Event on Saturday, Sunday, and Monday.  If the appointment was from 8 AM Friday Morning to 8:30 AM Monday Morning, the iPhone would show an All Day Event on Saturday, Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday.  If the appointment was from 8 AM Friday Morning to 7:30 AM Monday Morning, the iPhone would show an All Day Event on Saturday, Sunday, and Monday.  This was also true for appointments starting on Friday at 5 PM and ending on Monday at 5 PM, starting on Friday at 5 PM and ending on Monday at 5:30 PM, and starting on Friday at 5 PM and ending on Monday at 4:30 PM as in the above AM examples.
*** Again I would like to note that on my iPhone which is connected to my company's MS Exchange 2007 SP 2 server, the multi-day appointment shows up correctly with correct start and end times and is not converted to an All Day Event. ***
It would seem this is a problem with ActiveSync on Office 365 and iOS devices.  What is particularly frustrating is that this exact problem is identified in KB 2563324 (http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2563324) Issue 1.6 - "An appointment is longer than 24 hours is changed to a multi-day All Day Event" which states:  "To resolve this issue, install Update Rollup 1 for Exchange Server 2010 Service Pack 2 (SP2)."  Since this is a cloud based service, we do not have the ability to either see what the current version of the Exchange service we are connected to is or update the service with this patch level.
4 - I performed the above three tests with my client creating the events in MS Outlook 2010 and inviting my work account on the MS Exchange 2007 SP 2 Server and got the exact same results.
5 - My client's iPhone is running iOS 4.3 and my iPhone is running iOS 5.1.0.  In order to test this without going through the update process on my client's iPhone, I set up his Office 365 account on my iPhone and performed the tests in numbers 1-4 from above, viewing the results on my iPhone, and got the exact same results.
6 - Today, I tried this with a different Office 365 account, performed the multi-day test in number 3 from above and got the exact same results.
7 - Today I also upgraded my iPhone to iOS 5.1.1, performed the multi-day test in number 3 from above and got the exact same results.
8 - I have confirmed that all time zones are set correctly.  I have checked the iPhone, OWA, Office 365 Webmail, etc.
I believe the problem in my case is with the Office 365 environment and not the iOS device.  However, trying to get support from these large companies seems to be very difficult?
Does anyone from Apple know if this is an iOS bug or a problem with Exchange 2010/Office 365?
    Thanks...
    Jp

  • Recurring all day events

Please could support for weekly/monthly recurring all day events be added back into PC Suite?
In the past, calendar entries of this type were correctly synced to the phone. Since I've upgraded to the latest version of PC Suite this functionality has gone and only the first occurence is synced.
I appreciate that the phone doesn't natively support all day recurrence but that didn't seem to present a problem in the past.
All day recurring events are the intuitive way to diarize in many situations...
For example, I work on many different customer sites througout the week. For days when I am on a customer site, I also need to schedule individual meetings to take place on that site.
Prior to the update to PC Suite I was able to use an all day event to describe which location I would be in and individual meetings to describe what I would be doing while I was there. If I have to switch to using an appointment to also describe where I am each day the calendar quickly becomes very messy and Outlook complains that the appointments overlap.
Reading through the forums the most common suggestion is essentially to "change the way that you use Outlook" which if I was the only person managing my calendar wouldn't be too difficult. Unfortunately my calendar can be accessed and managed by many other people and I don't think it's sensible that I should train other users to do something that's counter-intuitive just because of a limitation of PC Sync!
    FYI I'm running N95 classic V21.0.016, Outlook 2003 & PC Suite 6.85.14.1
If anyone can provide an insight into why this functionality was removed or some workaround that I haven't considered I'd be grateful.
    Regards
    Mark

in the past (I mean 2-3 years ago with some S40 phones some recurring items where split by pc sync toidividual items in phone but that created more problems because any change to such events would no longer sync properly (because you had one meeting in Outlook (that only had a recurring tag with many meetings in phone with no recurring tag) and also individual many meetings in phone will fill the phone memory.
As frustrating it may be, this is not a simple limitation of pc sync, but a fact that Nokia phones have different data models than Outlook.

  • "This channel is having temporary technical difficulties" Digital Adapter

Hi, I have recently received my digital adapters in the mail and in order to install these on the other tvs, I have used splitters on the Coax cable that plugs into the STB we had previously installed in the living room. After this i had one coax into the STB and another into one of the digital adapters. For some reason, the living room one is working, but the basement one we just tried to install is not working and is getting the message "This channel is having temporary technical difficulties." It might also be important to note that this setup did work for alittle then stopped working. I have tried reactivating and resetting the digital adapter, none of these worked. Does anyone know any possible solution? thank you

Yep, after signing up last night and testing the online player successfully earlier, it comes to the game now and all I am getting is either an error message or I am just being 'logged out' and bombed back to a log in screen again!

  • When trying to upload my podcast, I keep getting the error message, "We are currently experiencing technical difficulties. Please try again later." I have verified that my artwork meets specifications.

My artwork meets the specifications though I have gotten error messages stating that 300x300, 600x600, and 1400x1400 are the proper format. I have tried all of these. I've only gotten the artwork error message a couple of times. The most common error message I receive is, as stated above, "We are currently experiencing technical difficulties. It's better if you start your own thread when you have a problem. The text of the link you posted isn't the same as the actual link, which is to a web page, not a feed. The feed is indeed at the URL you give:
    http://www.ipsocreative.com/musings/podcast/rss
You don't specify 'trouble'. The correct URL works OK when subscribed to manually in iTunes but the FeedValidator report throws up a number of errors you should probably look into.
