Templates. linking.

How should be instatiated templates ? Is it done automatically ? What flags are needed for linking the library with templates ?

Hi guys,
I got to solve this error some time ago. I have discussed it in thread:
http://forum.java.sun.com/thread.jspa?forumID=850&threadID=5069680
I'm not sure if it has something to do with instances=static option.
Maybe you can try if it works in your environment.
operator= is not needed in this procedure, so the associated error may be avoided.
Good luck.
Bye.

  • ERecruiting:Process Template link not working

    Hi All,
Recently we have applied a patch "nw eph1 sp05" after which the Process template link is not working.
We have raised an OSS note in this regard and they have a provided Note 1342091 to apply.
We have implemented that note and found that the Process Template link is working, but it is failing in one place:
Recruiter start page>View/Manage Candidates within Requisitions>Assignments>Select candidate and click on the 'Process Activities' button>click on the Process Template link
When we click on the Process template link a blank page appears.
However we have replied back to them, meanwhile I would like to know if anybody have faced any similar issue can provide some ideas in this regard.
    Thanks,
    PoojaM

    The issue has been resolved.

  • 'Edit Template' link

    Hi
I would really like to hide the 'edit template' link from our administrators when they are in the edit mode of a page. We would like to use one global template and it would be disastrous if it could be changed by our administrators.
    Thanks

If you restrict the access privileges on your template to only allow yourself to manage the template then the edit template link will not appear when users with lesser privileges are authenticated.

  • How to call a portal KM URL link from WAD template Link

    Hi All
I  am trying to call a Portal KM URL Link from the web template using the link control.
I cannot figure out whare and how to put the portal KM URL Link into the web application web link.
    Your help is greatly appreciated.
    Thanks
    Karen

Add content administration role to the user.
The the content administration tab would be visible to the user in the main menu tab.
Then in content administration tab, configure the URL for KM URL tab or link.
This would be done by EP experts. Please contact your EP experts to do.
    Hope this would help you.

  • Templates link to template folder

hi. I not used to using dreamweaver. I would MUCH rather
write html by hand. but my boss uses DreamWeaver and I am trying to
update a template that he made.
so he created a "site" in dreamweaver so it put all his
files in its own structure and all. but when I update the template
in the template folder and update the pages using the template all
the links and images are linked to the template folder.
    It would look like "<a
href="Template/pictures/pic.jpg">" when I just want it to say
"pictures/pic.jpg" but in the template the file is linked properly.
and I can't get DW to look outside of the template folder for
    templates.
anyone know how to fix it so that it won't change the links
    to look in the folder

    Ball of Snot,
    (no offense intended)
I am a little unclear on your post, but I think that if you
reference your template's links to the exact directory the images
are located, the links remain relative wherever the file using the
template is located. I could just be telling you something that
    you're already doing....sorry if I am.
I've never seen this as an issue in DW before (are you using
    MX, MX 04, or 8?)...
DW won't find Templates outside of the /Templates
    folder.

  • Template link to css styles lost

Hi, why, when I create a new page based a template, does the link to the css style sheet become broken?
I can see in the code of the new page that ".."  is missing from the "../" in the url to the style sheets – but the template has the correct links in place.
Previous pages buolt using the same template(s) work fine.  This appears to be a problem that has just occurred.
If anyone hs any clues, that would be much appreciated.
    RP

All sorted!  Copied all existing files to a new folder, then Site > New Site, chose the new folder, recreated the site cache and hey presto!
I managed to do something myself!
Hope this helps somebody else in the same fix!

  • Template links are always local

    Hi
I am just converting from GoLive so please bear with me. I have a site that I used to be able to drop big collections of layers onto with multiple Flash items and background images. This doesn't seem possible in DW, o I have tried with a Template of the wole page. The pages work locally for preview, but once published, the background image links in the APs are all absolute pointers to locations on my hard disk. Any images on the page (not backgrounds) appear correctly - this is unsurprisingly doing my head in. Any page I create from the template fails, any page I create from a copy of my index page works. I created the template from a copy of the index page.
www.smallsystems.co.uk/dw1 shows the index with a working banner at the top, either of the links (News or Doco) show broken pages. The source reveals the problem which I think is related to the fact that the background images are set in the <head> whereas other images are set in the <body> and templates don't seem to like <head> stuff.
As an aside has anyone else noticed DW CS4 being pretty unstable under Windows 7, 32 bit?
Any help would be hugely appreciated.
    Jeremy

    Hi
Thanks for replying. Yes, I have defined a site:
    Local:
Name, Local root, no image folder, Links relative to Document, HTTP address, Cache enabled.
    Remote:
    FTP
    Maintain sync
    Testing:
    As remote.
I looked at the tutorial link you sent, I didn't use the wizard, but used Advanced, maybe that was a mistake given my inexperience with DW???
Regarding reliability, W7 was clean build with disk format on a new machine (delivered with XP about two months before W7 release).

    Hi,
I have logged in as xelsysadm and created "Contractor Create User" request template.
    Settings are:
    1. I didn't select "Template Level Approval Process" (Is it mandatory?)
    2. For User Type, in Attribute Restrictions have selected "Contractor" as LookUp Values and "XellerateUsers" as Organization
    3. Assigned "Request Administrators", "System Administrators" as roles.
Where can i see this "Contractor Create User" link?
    Do i need configure anywhere?
    Thanks,

are you using xelsysadm user to raise request?
one more thing. If you are not using Template level approval you must associate approval policy( for Request level and operational level). I suggest, you change it to Template level .

  • Template links won't work

I'm trying to make a template in Mail. Before I have made a complete HTML-page with an absolute path for each image, uploaded the page and images on a server, from Safari Command-I (as in e-mail content), and finally saving the new e-mail as a template within Mail. And it has worked perfectly.
Now, for some reason, the images doesn't display in my template. Any suggestions?

Have you installed any anti-virus software? Run Console.app and see if there are any error messages when you click on a link.
Now for the hard part... Hover your mouse over what should be a link. What happens? Anything? You should get a yellow pop-up showing where the link will take you. This is to prevent phishing attempts by telling you what the link really is. There are lots of e-mail servers that try to "sanitize" such links in e-mail messages. If you don't get that pop-up, some e-mail server may have read your message and removed those links for you.

  • Error Code 2 on updating template links

When I attempt to update the links to my templates I receive an error message: Error accessing file "...\Templates\PageTemplate.dwt", file not found (error code 2). The error comes up three times as some 22 pages are being updated.
I imagine that when I was learning to put this website together several years ago I may have experimented with a template with that name. Perhaps I renamed a template file. However, this file does not exist in the site and there is no code on any page that mentions such a file.
A previous thread mentioned the difference between <!-- instanceBegin and <!-- templateBegin. However, in my website the <!-- InstanceBegin template... code does not exist in either of the template files. It does show up in every one of the 21 files that were created from one of the two templates -- TwoColumnTemplate.dwt. In these files it shows up in uneditable header code. If my problem has to do with the instanceBegin vs. templateBegin issue, why does the error code only show up four times? If the instanceBegin code is only generated when a file is created based on a template, how can it be avoided or corrected?
Or, perhaps, there is another kind of error I've introduced into my website.
I am running Windows 8 and using Dreamweaver CC 13.1 Build 6443. I would have created the templates and pages originally on Dw CS3. There are two templates in a subdirectory. One of these is http://http://www.jackrisk.ca/Templates/TwoColumnTemplate.dwt. One of the files I seem to be getting error messages on is http://http://www.jackrisk.ca/Photography.html.
Thanks for any help. I'm learning slowly but I am learning.
    Jack Risk

Hi and welcome to our humble abode.
On the same system and running the same version of DW, I downloaded the .dwt file and placed it in the Templates folder.
I then download the Photography.html file and placed it in the root folder.
I made a change to the local copy of the .dwt file.
The result is a perfect change in the Photography.html document.
    Suggestions:
    1. make sure that you file structure is correct, eg root --> Templates. All documents in the root and the .dwt file in Templates.
    2. recreate the Photography.html document, making a copy of the file before doing so.

  • Template Link does not match

Today I went to change the link on my template to something different (it went from being linked to a page on my website to a third party photo site).  I changed the template updated all relevant pages that use the template, then put both the template and all those pages to the remote site.  The only problem is that the remote site is still using the orginal link.  Any suggestions are greatly appriciated.  Thanks.

Have you checked whether the link was updated correctly in your files? If so, it probably means that the original file is being cached somewhere, which is why the link hasn't changed when you access the page. Try clearing your browser's cache. If that doesn't work, I find what usually does the trick is to access the remote server through the Files panel, and delete the file on your website. Then go back to your local files view, and upload the file again.

  • Help! Template linking problem

I have made templates for my client that have worked just
fine for a year. She got a new computer, copied the files from the
old computer to the new computer. Now she has problems with the
templates writing the links to her local directories.
Below is line 51 from my test page from the template -- which
is correct and works fine on the server
    <!--#include virtual="../catalog/pullrotations.asp"-->
This is line 51 from her test page from the same template --
    which does not work
    <!--#include virtual="file:///C|/Documents and
    Settings/xxxx/My
    Documents/xxxx/website/catalog/pullrotations.asp"-->
I've reloaded the templates to the server, had her delete the
template folder/files on her computer and then download the
template folder again. That didn't help.
I had her check the site definition and the links relative to
document is checked as it should be.
What else could it be? Any ideas?
    Please help.

That's the wrong syntax for a virtual include. It would have
    to be -
    <!--#include virtual="/catalog/pullrotations.asp"-->
