Terms of payment/cheque post date issue

Hi guys.
On PO and MIRO terms of payment PD15 is being used. How can I make the cheque date post dated.
Baseline date March 18
Due date April 2
On F-58.
I want the cheque date to be April 2 without opening the next period.
Is it possible at all?
Can someone help me please.
Thanks.

Hi,
I think it is not possible to give future date as posting data unless period is open.
We can do the same by opening two posting periods simultaneously by doing authorization objects in OB52. This object will be tagged to a particular role with specific users and deactivating for all other roles.
Other alternative: We can create a post dated cheque through a manual check by changing the date in the manual check.
Thanks,
Padmaja

  • Discount cal by looking at 'Terms of Payment' and 'Baseline date'

    Hi,
We have activated check box (Max. cash discount) in FBZP tcode for company code CUSA. As a result, when we run F110 (Vendor payment transaction), system is just looking at 'Terms of payment' and not 'Baseline date' and calculating discount FOR ALL VENDORS if the payment terms allow. However, there are some vendors where we need to look at both 'Terms of Payment' and 'Baseline date' and calculate discount.
How we can do this ? I checked up in F110 if there are any user exits so that we can put our own code for certain vendors, but I did not find any.
    Any other solution for above.
    Pl let us know.

    Hi Sridhar,
Thanks for the help, but that will not help us. What you recommend is Alternative Baseline date. We cannot use that as we cannot ask users to enter all the terms of payment details while posting invoice. It is a waste of time. We want something that involves less time in entering data in SAP AND that will solve our current problem. I am looking for better solution.

  • Terms of Payment with Posting key 09

    Hi,
    My client is a construction company which undertakes customer projects. Scenarios of retention amounts are very common in construction industry. We have a scenario where in at the time of sales invoiceing the amount of the invoice gets divided in three parts;
    1. Billing amount to customer
    2. Retention amount 1 (Due after 1 year from invoice date)
    3. Retention amount 2 (Due after 3 years from invoice date)
We are using payment term to split these amounts. Client want the retention amount to get debited to a customer special GL. The accounting entry will be-
    01  - Customer Dr - 8000
    09R-Customer Dr - 1000
    09R-Customer Dr - 1000
            Revenue Cr -           10,000
The issue is, payment term is not getting populated with posting key 09. I tried changing the field status for both posting key as well as for GL field status.
Requesat to please let me know how the payment term can be displyed with posting key 09.
    Thanks & Regards,
    Ajay Gupte

    Dear Ajay,
To make the field You need ready for input for posting
with special G/L indicator, the following Customizing setting is
    necessary:
Financial Accounting -> Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable ->
Business Transactions -> Outgoing Payments -> Automatic Outgoing Payment
-> Payment Method/Bank Selection -> Configure payment program -> All
company codes -> double-click on corresponding company code -> under
Vendor -> 'Sp. G/L transactions to be paid' you should enter the special
    G/L indicator A,B,C, etc.
As explained in note 4683, the only standard possibility to get the
field payment terms on creating a posting with a special G/L indicator
is by setting in the payment program configuration (trans. FBKP) for
'All company codes' for customers/vendors 'Sp. G/L transaction to be
    paid'.

  • Clarification about plant and terms of payment In Master Data:

    Hello Gurus,
I have a doubt as follows:
    1) In Material master (MM01) we are maintaining Plant as two types.
         a) Plant at organisation leve pop up at the begining
         b) Delivering plant at Sales organisation 1.
So, is there any difference between plant and delivering plant or are they different objects ?
    2) Terms of payment in Customer master (XD01)
         a) we maintain Terms of payment customer master at company code level in "Payment transaction"
         b) we also maintain Terms of payment in customer master at sales area data in "Billing Documents" tab
Now Why do we need to maintain at these to levels.
FYI: I have also tried to maintain two different Terms of payment and without any hesitation the system accepts, why ?
What is the significance of it.
    Please clarify the above.
    Thanks,
    Venky.

    Hello Venky,
    1. Material / Plant
A Material is always stored in a Plant & there would be various parameters to be entered for that particular Plant. E.g. Storage Bin, Picking Area, Negative Stocks allowed in Pant, GR Processing time, etc..
Now the same Material may or may not be sold from the same plant, or even if it is sold from the same plant, there would be different Sales parameters for each combination Sales Organisation & Plant. There Sales Organisation specific parameters are entered in Sales Organisation/PLant view. Tax classification Data, Cash Discount indicator, Sales Unit, Delivering Plant, Division, Minimum Order & Minimum Delivery quantity.
    2. Payment Terms
The Payment Terms entered in Billing tab in Sales Area data is copied into Sales order & Invoice.
The Payment Terms in Company Code data are used by FI department when posting direct payment (without reference to Sales Document). e.g. to Offer Cash Discount for paying in advance.
    Hope this clarifies,

  • Posting date issue for COGI records.

    Hi all,
I have one issue regarding the posting date for the records which are being cleared from COGI.
_In case of MF47 (Postprocessing for REM) following is the behaviour,_
In this if GR has happened on say 1st and due to stock un-availability components are gone to Post processing, Now when stock of component inwarded on say 20th then GI posting happens on 20th in post processing record clearance
_Now in case of COGI (Automatic goods movement : Error handling) behaviour is different,_
In this scenario if GR has happened on say 1st and due to stock un-availability components are gone to Post processing (COGI), Now when stock of component inwarded on say 20th then GI posting happens on 1st in post processing record clearance
I want same should be happened in case of COGI also, is there any note/ correction/option available??
    Thanks in advance
    Regards,
    Vinayak.

    Dear,
There are backlogs from the backflush in repetitive manufacturing. You can display these using Transaction MF47 and/or Transaction COGI. So schedule a job for program RMSERI11 on daily basis or hourly basis  so it will clear the postprocessing errors.
But for some of the errors, it needs manual intervention like updating storage location, posting dates due to posting period block etc.
    Hope clear to you.

  • SAP IHC PAYMENT ORDER - posting date prior to Current posting date

    Hello folks,
I have a general question about SAP-IHC module.
While creating a manual internal payment order using IHC1IP transaction code, if I change the "Date Executed" date, the system allows to post the payment order in closed period(posting date prior to the current posting date(for the Bank area in F9B1), i.e. the payment items posted, contained in the IHC payment order, has an old posting date, which is prior to the current posting date of the Bank area - Is this normal?

    Dear,
Check with settings in OLMR transaction.
Invoice Block - Set Tolerance Limits [Transaction : OMR6]
Here you need to add New entries with - Tolerance Key : LD and company code and set the limits. Please check the documentation which available read as below:
LD: Blanket purchase order time limit exceeded
The system determines the number of days by which the invoice is outside the planned time interval. If the posting date of the invoice is before the validity period, the system calculates the number of days between the posting date and the start of the validity period. If the posting date of the invoice is after the validity period, the system calculates the number of days between the posting date and the end of the validity period. The system compares the number of days with the with the absolute upper limit defined.

  • Baseline date, terms of payment, net due date in MIRO Parked document

    Hi all:
When parking a docuement in MIRO with a PO reference the terms of payment, baseline date, and due date are all determined.
The problem is when we don't have a PO yet, just the vendor and the amount, is there a way for MIRO to determine the terms, baseline date, and due date from the vendor master?

    Hi,
Just enter the Vendor in MIro and it should pull the Payment terms from the Vendor master (Company Code Area).
Baseline Date & Due Date are derived based on the settings in the payment term.

  • FM posting date issue in extended classic

We are experiencing issue with SRM deriving incorrect posting period when PO changes are made. We are in extended classic scenario with two FM periods open across fiscal years.
PO changes  “No further confirmation” and “No further Invoice” from “No” to “Yes”, changes to anything on Account assignment(Asset, GL account, fund etc).
Earlier when we were in Classic scenario, we had FMOD capability to post the FM documents in previous year and current year. Do we have similar functionality retained in extended classic?

  • Payment engine posting date automatically set at today

    Good evening folks,
I've a problem with Payment Engine and the bank statement reconciliation.
I'm using SAP 2005 SP01 PL46 on SQLServer 2005. This is the scenario:
The bank statement that I use has all the dates set to 26 January 2009. Suppose that I do the import today, 29 January 2009.
I import the file with the Process External Bank Statement; the field Date, that is the Due Date, shows 26.01.2009 for all my lines.
Then I flag the Create Payment and press the Update button. Now I go in Incoming Payments to see the posting and I find that the Posting Date is 29.01.2009.
Now the question is: There is a way to have the Posting Date equals to the Due Date, so that both date will be 26.01.2009?
I'm asking this because our Account Manager tell me that the posting date has to be the same of the due date sent by bank.
    Best Regards
    Alessio

    Dear Sir:
The functionality 'proces external bank statatement' was highly improved with the add on payment engine , why do not use the module 'Cash and bank'?
The module cash and bank allows you to decide the posting date.
I would recommend you to read the On line help of the Add on, the part related to 'processing bank statements -Examples -> 'Payment from Customer with reefernce number'

  • Posting data issue

    Hi,
While creating MIRO my user has given document date is in future but posting date is in past. Whether system will permit to post document ?
    Please help me.
    Regards
    R.Sasikumar

    Hello,
Yes, you could post the document you have mentioned.
But if the posting period is difference from the current one, system will issue the following information  msgs :F5000 and F5192 when you press enter key.
For example, enter the Document Date :12.11.2009 and posting Date :15.09.2009 in FB01, and
current posting period is 10 for calendar month Oct. 2009. in other words, Document Date :12.11.2009  is in period 11, and posting date is in period 9 and currenct period is 10, so system will issue below information msgs:
F5000 ->Period 10 adjusted in line with posting date 15.09.2009
F5192 ->Check - document date is in the future
if document date and posting date are belong to current period 10, then no msg will be issued( for example: posting date = 05.10.2009, document date =15.10.2009).
Hope the above infor. are useful for you!

  • GR document and posting date issue for initial stock upload are overidden

    Hi all
Loading initial stock into the system using standard idoc message type MBGMCR and basic type MBGMCR02.
We are trying to post the intial stock upload with posting and document dates in past with this idoc. The Idoc is accepted with these dates but while posting the system is overiding these dates and posting the document with system date. Any clue as to what is happening?
    Regards,

    Hi Jurgen
I am aware about the posting being possible till the last period.
But the system over-riding the posting and document dates in the IDoc even if I chose previos day's date in the current period. The dates in the IDoc are correct to be in the past. The IDoc is accepted by the system with the document and posting dates in the past.
But dates in the document after posting are system dates. Very unsual. Please let me know the reasons.
    Thanks for the reply.

Problem:  In SAP, IDOC's are processing successfully with status 53 and updating the tables : KONH,KONP  successfully.
But Table A957 which is passing against KOTABNR field is not pupulating with the Materials passing.
Can anyone please guide me why the Materials are not populating in the table : A957.
    Regards,
    Sreeram

    Hi,
I guess there might be some issue with VAKEY population.
All the key fields in A957 should be concated properly while populating VAKEY. (Leading zeros must be prefixed to the material)

  • Automatic Payment Programme Date Issue

    Hi Experts,
While doing Automatic Payment Programme in tcode F110 i analysed that the Cheque which is picked for Payment is related with Entry date of an Invoice, Is there any configuration in APP to pick the cheques for Payment from Posting Date/Document Date of Invoice
    Please suggest.
    Thanks and Regards,
    Vivek.N.Vishwakarma.

    Hi Vivek,
My unerderstanding of your query is you want to do the payment program for vendor line item based on postind date/document date.
If that is the case there is a option in F110 itself. Under free selection tab selection criterian sub tan Select the Posting date /Document date using F4. (The field will show as disable. you click F4 over there. System will give two option. Select others and enter. In the next pop up select Document and enter. In the third pop up you will get list of selection options. Select Posting date or Dosument date as selection criteria).
In the below field enter the posting / Document date for those line item you want to pick up for automatic payment. System now will consider only those item which has posted on that specified date.
    Hope this will help you.

  • Change posting date on Reverse Entry for Payment

    Scenario:
I entered an outgoing payment cheque run > printed cheques > posting date 31.05.09
Now i want to cancel this cheque run, so i voided the cheques.(under banking > ougoing payments > void checks for payment). I entered today as the posting date. This was incorrect. I should have entered posting date 31.05.09.
Can i now change the posting date to 31.05.09 on the reverse journal entry?

    HI Maeve,
The intention is to transfer the balance to May 31. Then yes.
Had the 2 dates been in the same posting period (which I believe they are not) it could have been done in one posting.
In Document Settings -> Per Document -> Journal Entry -> untick 'Block Posting Date Editing per Row'.
Then by changing the posting date on the row you could have done it all in one JE. No big difference.
    Thanks,
    Jesper

  • Function module to get due date by terms of payment

    Hi,
Is there any function module which can give me the due date when I pass
    1) Terms of payment
    2) Baseline date
Read the terms of payment and use the properties of the terms of payment ( Like Fixed date )  to get to the due date.

    Hi,
I had the same problem, as J_1A_SD_CI_DUEDATE_GET does not work when FI document is not created yet.

          EXCEPTIONS
            terms_not_found       = 1
            OTHERS                = 2.
        IF sy-subrc <> 0.
        ELSE.
          CALL FUNCTION 'J_1B_FI_NETDUE'
               EXPORTING
                    zfbdt   = lv_zfbdt
                    zbd1t   = lv_zbd1t

                    zbd3t   = lv_zbd3t
               IMPORTING
                    duedate = z_duedate.
        ENDIF.
    Hope it helps.
