Test stand crashes: "test stand has detected that your script debugging"
05-01-201203:18 PM
Hi everyone. I am setting up a new installation of Test stand and writing my first sequence with an existing sequence of legacy code.
When I run the sequence and stop on the call to the DLL, and then step into the dll and I get this error:
test stand has detected that your script debugging settings might cause visual studio to hang when attaching to the teststand process to perform this step into operation.
To fix this problem, open internet explorer, select tools>>Internet options>> Advanced, check Browsing>>Disabl script debugging, click okay, and restart your sequence execution.
The message is vague and it is indermanent as to whether I should "enable" or "disable" Script debugging so I tried both. Test stand then crashes again and I get the same error.
Do I need to reboot after each crash? I'll try that next. Any ideas on how to make this error go away?
Thank you for your help.
Richard

Hello,
I keep getting messages about my desktop being slow and if I would like to disable windows Aero.
Well I don't want to disable it, I just want the error to dissapear. I don't believe my PC is actually slow, since it's not.
Is there any way to completely remove this error message (disabling it in control panel does NOT work.)
I don't want a solution such as disabling/enabling desktop composition since that's not a solution, it's a work-around.
My specs;
i7 4770k 3,5 GHz (OC'd to 4,0)
MSI GTX GeForce 770 4GB
Kingston HyperX 16 GB 2400 MHz (4X 4GB) (Yes I know my processor doesn't support 2400 MHz...)
Samsung EVO 250GB
Gigabyte GA-Z87X-D3H motherboard
I've read solutions as; Get more memory on your GPU, well it has 4GB, should be enough.
Also 'upgrading to latest drivers' is commonly heard, which I also have. So my request to microsoft is, please completely remove the error (or allow the windows users to disable it.).Go to the Start Menu and type Action Center on the Search box
Start it (it should be the top entry, under the "Control Panel" group)
On the left sidebar, click Change
Action Center settings
Untick the Windows
Troubleshooting checkbox, under "Maintenance Messages".
Click the Ok button
and you are done.

Can I get help with podcasts? When I try to open the podcasts tab, itunes crashes, says "itunes has detected a problem and must close", or the spanish equivalent since my xp is in spanish. everything else works fine, it even downloads podcasts and syncs.
The only other thing I can suggest is to use the Repair option for iTunes.
Download the iTunes programme (do not uninstall your current iTunes) and then "install" the new copy. At some stage you should see an option to "install" or "Repair". Take the Repair option.
Once you've done that, if you still have a problem, I don't know what else to suggest, except to search through the discussions to see if anyone else has had the problem and managed to fix it. -

Hi!
I recently took over management of a Windows 2003 domain that had only one domain controller. I was building a second DC for redundancy and discovered that the SYSVOL share on the original DC is in "JRNL_WRAP_ERROR" after the SYSVOL and NETLOGON
share would not create on the new DC. This error goes back as far as the log goes back so I don't know how long it has been in this state.
The message in the event log states to enable "Enable Journal Wrap Automatic Restore" but I found a KB article that says to use the BurFlags key instead. http://support.microsoft.com/kb/290762
Should I run an authoritative restore since I don't have another domain controller with a good SYSVOL?
The File Replication Service has detected that the replica set "DOMAIN SYSTEM VOLUME (SYSVOL SHARE)" is in JRNL_WRAP_ERROR.
Replica set name is : "DOMAIN SYSTEM VOLUME (SYSVOL SHARE)"
Replica root path is : "c:\windows\sysvol\domain"
Replica root volume is : "\\.\C:"
A Replica set hits JRNL_WRAP_ERROR when the record that it is trying to read from the NTFS USN journal is not found. This can occur because of one of the following reasons.
[1] Volume "\\.\C:" has been formatted.
[2] The NTFS USN journal on volume "\\.\C:" has been deleted.
[3] The NTFS USN journal on volume "\\.\C:" has been truncated. Chkdsk can truncate the journal if it finds corrupt entries at the end of the journal.
[4] File Replication Service was not running on this computer for a long time.
[5] File Replication Service could not keep up with the rate of Disk IO activity on "\\.\C:".
Setting the "Enable Journal Wrap Automatic Restore" registry parameter to 1 will cause the following recovery steps to be taken to automatically recover from this error state.
[1] At the first poll, which will occur in 5 minutes, this computer will be deleted from the replica set. If you do not want to wait 5 minutes, then run "net stop ntfrs" followed by "net start ntfrs" to restart the File Replication
Service.
[2] At the poll following the deletion this computer will be re-added to the replica set. The re-addition will trigger a full tree sync for the replica set.
WARNING: During the recovery process data in the replica tree may be unavailable. You should reset the registry parameter described above to 0 to prevent automatic recovery from making the data unexpectedly unavailable if this error condition occurs again.
To change this registry parameter, run regedit.
Click on Start, Run and type regedit.
Expand HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE.
Click down the key path:
"System\CurrentControlSet\Services\NtFrs\Parameters"
Double click on the value name
"Enable Journal Wrap Automatic Restore"
and update the value.
If the value name is not present you may add it with the New->DWORD Value function under the Edit Menu item. Type the value name exactly as shown above.> The message in the event log states to enable "Enable Journal Wrap

The automatic restore process AFAIK will initiate a D2 restore. And if
there's no other DC, sysvol might be gone.
I really would prefer to have control - this means I would do a D4.
Absolutely I would :)

The page isn't redirecting properly
Firefox has detected that the server is redirecting the request for this address in a way that will never complete.Does this happen on just one site or does it happen more often?<br>
First I would delete the contents of the cache and delete all current cookies and try again. If clearing does not help, I would try safe mode.<br>
Did you try to start Firefox in the Firefox Safe Mode? If it works when in safe mode, then this problem is probably caused by a broken add-on. If the safe mode does not help, that may be an indication that the server is sending some broken headers. -

We had a major storm over the weekend which caused an unexpected shutdown.
I am having an issue with one of my domain controller with Event ID 13568
The domain controller which is running Windows Server 2012 was added successfully just a couple of days ago.
I do not have a full backup of the server yet.
It only has a GC role on it.
What are the things I should look out for before I attempt to Enable Journal Wrap Automatic Restore and set it to 1?
Would it be safer to just demote the server and start from scratch?
Thank you all for reading!
Mladen
The File Replication Service has detected that the replica set "DOMAIN SYSTEM VOLUME (SYSVOL SHARE)" is in JRNL_WRAP_ERROR.

To change this registry parameter, run regedit.

and update the value.
If the value name is not present you may add it with the New->DWORD Value function under the Edit Menu item. Type the value name exactly as shown above.I set Enable Journal Wrap Automatic Restore to 1 and it was
successful.
I will monitor it to make sure it does not occur again.
