Testing CORBA App in Jdeveloper without deploying to database?

Hi,
Is there a way to test a simply CORBA or EJB application without deplying it to the database everytime I make a small change?
Thanks,
Andy

  • Deploying and testing an app without physical connect

    Hello,
    under https://developer.apple.com/library/ios/documentation/IDEs/Conceptual/AppDistrib utionGuide/TestingYouriOSApp/TestingYouriOSApp.html
    there is a chapter:
    Installing Your App on Test Devices
    Before you distribute your app to testers, follow the steps that testers use to install and run the app on their devices. Use iTunes to install the app on a nondevelopment device. iOS extracts the embedded ad hoc provisioning profile in your app and installs it on the device for you. Then test your app on the device.
    Follow these steps to install the app on a testing device.
    Finally, send the iOS App Store Package file to testers......
    Is it possible testing and deploying an app without physical connection to a computer (security risk etc.)?
    An example: Upload the app-file to a developer-environment in the app-store and then download to the iPhone.
    Thanks and greets
    Oliver

    Ok I figured this one out with help form Kapil (thanks Kapil).
    Here are a few lines of code that is needed:
    <s:HTTPService id="myPersonalInfo" fault="faultHandler(event) resultFormat="e4x" result"personalInfo(event)"/>
    Then create a function e.g.
    private function requestPersonalInfo():void{
    domainUrl="your url.com";
    personalInfoRequest="";
    personalInfoRequest=domainUrl+api_xml_string;
    personalInfoRequest+="common-info";
    myPersonalInfo.url=personalInfoRequest;
    myPersonalInfo.send();
    private funtion personalInfo(event:ResultEvent):void{
    personalName=event.result.common.user.name;
    Username.text="Welcome" + personalName;
    Thats it.

    I am deploying to Afghanistan and I will not have wifi access.  I will have a hardline access to internet.  How do I sync my apps, newsstand, etc without wifi connection?

    About the only other way I can think of is to have a computer with you or use one there, if you can put iTunes on it and download all your new stuff to the computer, then sync your iPad to that computer.
    In switching computers you will lose previous content, but, as I understand it anyway, downloaded content will be the same as long as the same apple ID is used.

  • Is there a way to preview the dissing of the pages on OAF without deployment ??

    Is there a way to preview the dissing of the pages on OAF without deployment ??
    Hi to all,
    I´m recently  working with OAF and the main server are in Argetina, so when I try to make a deploy  to check the development it takes a lot of time. Is there a way to make a preview of the pages (Something like the visual designer of netbeans )
    thanks to all

    Run the page from your JDeveloper locally using the DBC file. I assume you are developing the pages using JDeveloper, so you should be able to run the page.
    Thanks

  • Import .par file into NWDS and Rum it without deploying ?

    Hello All,
    I'm new to the NWDS and the Portal.
    I've many Qns on my Requirement. Hope u guys can help me out in resolving my Issues.
    Is this  the right forum to place my Query ?
    If not then please let me know the right forum .
    My Requirement is like this :-
    1. I need to create a Portal Application which calls an URL.
    2. But before developing this, my Client gave me one 2 options :
         a. He gave me a par file and asked me to make  changes in it.
         b. Create a new Portal Project which calls the URL ( Predefined ).
    3. I wanted to check the 1rst option i.e  " a ".
    4. I tried to Import the .par file into NWDS like this :
    * Windows --> Open Perspective --> Enterprise Portal .
    * File --> Import --> Par FIle.
    * I gave the name of the Project as PortalLogon.
    5. I searched in the forum on this scenario and I found that the libraries for this project are not automatically imported.
    <b>A .Can any one tell me how to import the libraries and which are all the libraries to be imported ?</b>
    <b>B. How to test my PortalLogon Project without deploying ?</b>
    Is it possible to test this Project without deploying ?
    If yes can anyone tell me hoe to do this ?
    Regards,
    Deepu.K

    Hi Deepu,
    Usually Server will be having all the jar files and If you want to deploy your par file using NWDS you need to give a path to your Jar file location.
    So better download all the jar files from your server and keep it in your local desktop.
    Create a new folder called "JarFiles" in your desktop and keep all of your jar files inside.
    Download Jar finder from IBM Site ( search for "Resolving Java Classpath Issues" in SDN ,you will get a pdf and follow it.).Add it as a plugin to your NWDS path.
    Restart NWDS.
    Now you can resolve the jar file issues.there are many weblogs /articles/forum QAs regarding this.
    If u need more clarification,please let me know.
    Thank you.

    hi Deepu,
    for simply displaying a URL, you can use the commonly available URL iView.
    your folder->new->create iView->iView from template->URL iView and then enter your URL
    for the other think.......
    you can create an iView from PAR file.
    your folder->new->create iView->Iview from PAR->then select your PAR and create an iView for that.
    and the last one.......to see the effect without deploying it on the portal......refer the link
    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw2004s/helpdata/en/23/c0e240beb0702ae10000000a155106/content.htm
    and the usual libraries to be associated are
    <b>htmlb.jar</b>  and
    <b>com.sap.portal.htmlbbridge.zip</b>
    Cheers........

  • Exception in javascript library when testing Mail app with IE9/ Safari

    Hi,
    I have almost finished my mail app, but a strange issue that only appears with IE9 prevents me from successfully completing the verification process and therefore I can not publish my app.
    The issue is very similar to this post, which could unfortunately not have been answered so far:
    'OSF is undefined' script error in o15apptofilemappingtable.js
    file when Mail App launched
    I have tested the app successfully with the following browsers: Chrome (40.0.2214.111 m), Firefox (35.0.1), IE 11 and IE 10.
    In IE9 I first get:
    App
    Error Something
    went wrong and we couldn't start this app. Please try again later or contact your system administrator.
    When
    I then click "retry" I get:
    App
    Error This
    app may not load properly, but you can still try to start it.
    After
    I click start the app works. The debug console of IE indicates that there is a problem in the o15apptofilemappingtable.js file:
    SCRIPT438: Object doesn't support property or method 'GetContext' o15apptofilemappingtable.js, line 11 character 110934
    The problem should be the call to: "window.external.GetContext()" in the file mentioned above.
    Important to mention is, that when I build and deploy the sample mail project that ships with Visual Studio it just works fine (this is a difference to the other thread from above). There must be something special with my code but even after days of research
    I can absolutely not figure out what it is. In contrast to the sample mail app, my project is an ASP.NET MVC application by the way (if that is important).
    To isolate the problem I tried several things:
    * I have removed all other javascript libraries to make sure that there are no conflicts between them.
    * I removed all javascript code except the Office.initialize= ...
    code to be sure that there isn't a problem with my custom javascript code.
    But whatever I tried it doesn't help and basically I am fishing in troubled waters as I do not have an idea what the real problem is and why it is only happening on IE9.
    Best regards
    Stefan

    Hi,
    in the meantime I noticed that I also get this problem with Safari.
    I started to debug the office api and could isolate the problem further.
    Please forward the following information to the responsible microsoft engineer as it contains valuable information to fix the problem.
    The Exception I get happens becaus of a call to window.external.GetContext() in in the o15apptofilemappingtable.js.  The calls happens because in the function OSF.InitializationHelper.prototype.getAppContext, the value of this._hostInfo.isRichClient
    is true. Looks like in IE9 and Safari the api thinks it is running in the desktop version of outlook (but of course it is not and therefore the call to window.external fails -> I guess only available/set in desktop environment).
    The api thinks of running as rich client becaus the XdmInfoValue does not exist in o15apptofilemappingtable.debug.js line 155 (it is undefined). I am not a javascript specialist and don't know what xdm stands for (cross domain? X-Document?) but however:
    the xdm part which should be passed in the window.location as a hash value is not set in IE9/ Safari.
    At this position I lose the scent and don't know where the xdm part is passed/added to the url. Perhaps in the osfruntime.js? Unfortunately I couldn't find a debug version of this file.
    Please do not hesitate to contact me if you have further questions
    Regards
    Stefan

  • Create an EAR in JDeveloper to deploy on Oracle AS 10g

    I have a J2EE project with EJBs and JSPs. I am using JDEVELOPER as my IDE. I need to deploy my application on ORACLE 10G APP SERVER.
    I need to create an EAR file consisting of my EJBs and JSPs to deploy the appln.
    When i go into Deployment Profiles in JDeveloper and try to create an EAR file, it does create the EAR file but the contents of the file are only 2-3 xml files, there is nothing else in it.
    I am wondering how on earth do i need to create my EAR package so that i can deploy on Oracle APP Server.
    This is actually very urgent... so i would really really appreciate and thank you if someone could help me out....
    Thank you very much in advance

  • Trying to debug Worklist app with JDeveloper

    We managed to get the worklistapp compiling under JDeveloper. Now, I'd like to debug it.
    In order to debug (by running in the OC4J container within JDeveloper), it looks like I have to run the worklistapp as a remote client (specifying REMOTE_CLIENT or SOAP_CLIENT in the BaseServlet's init function). I used REMOTE_CLIENT. I also updated wf_client_config.xml and included the ORACLE_HOME/bpel/system/services/config directory in the classpath.
    When I try to run the worklist app from JDeveloper, I get a null ptr exception (the line 'wfSvcClient.getAuthorizationService(idCtx);' is returning a null value for the authorization service):

    I did start up the user metadata services and runtime config services(I can see all the soap endpoints for the workflow services from a browser). But the worklist app doesn't seem to connect to the remote server. I did update my wf_client_config.xml to point to the remote server on which BPEL is located. And the wf_client_config.xml file is in the classpath.
    If I deploy the worklist app on the server with bpel (specifying the parent as 'orabpel', it all works fine). I just can't get it working as a remote client.
    So, any suggestions? I've been looking at threads on this forum to get to this point, but now I'm stuck.
    Thanks,
    Sachin

    I thought I'd ping this thread to see if anyone has been able to debug the Worklist application with JDeveloper. We are trying to customize the worklist application, and being able to use JDeveloper to debug would greatly help out.
    However, I have still been unable to get the worklist application to be able to connect to the workflow services remotely via the SOAP_CLIENT:
    wfSvcClient = WorkflowServiceClientFactory.getWorkflowServiceClient(
    WorkflowServiceClientFactory.SOAP_CLIENT);
    I've played around with the classpath to make sure I have all the jars (based on other similar threads in this forum), but have not had any luck yet.
    From a web browser, I can specify the SOAP endpoint to the Workflow services, and am able to call the service in the browser.
    I updated my wf_client_config.xml file to point to the endpoints. e.g:
    <taskQueryService>
    <soapEndPoint>http://myserver:8888/integration/services/TaskQueryService/TaskQueryService</soapEndPoint>
    </taskQueryService>
    Thanks for any help,
    Sachin

  • Problem signing up for iTunes app store account without a credit card (cred

    I'm trying to test my friend's (free) iTunes app, and followed Apple's own instructions to get an app store account without a credit card:http://support.apple.com/kb/ht2534
    Unfortunately, every time I try to enter my info in iTues and submit, the response is "Your credit card was declined". This is VERY frustrating as I'm choosing 'none' and trying to sign up WITHOUT a credit card, there is no credit card to be declined?! Help?

    You can only choose None for credit card if you switch to USA AppStore.
    Just while registartion choose USA.
    You should google more

  • How to create a stand alone app with Jdeveloper?

    Hi,
    I have a created an application with JDeveloper using the ADF framework. It's a simple frontend to some database tables giving the user the possibility to create and update records.
    Is it possible to create a stand-alone application from JDeveloper without having to install any application server? I have tried to follow the documentation but somehow I only find descriptions of web enabled applications.
    That's not what I want. I want a (windows) application that can 'talk' to the database. Would be great to have just a .jar file to deploy to the users computer.
    Is this possible with JDeveloper? Or am I totally wrong?
    Thanks for any help!
    Bruno

    You don't need an OC4J.
    You just need to make sure the ADF libraries you are using are on the classpath of your application. (Your default JAR won't contain them).
    Have a look at the command line that JDeveloper uses to run your project (it is in the log file) - copy paste this into a command line and you should be able to run your code from outside JDeveloper.
    Read more on this in the online help under the deployment to JAR file chapter and possibly the webstart part.

  • JDeveloper/9iAS Deployment Help

    I am developing a JSP/JavaBeans application. The JSPs call the JavaBeans which are dependent on Oracle libraries, but not using BC4J. I want to deploy to 9iAS.
    I have tried deploying to JServ by copying stuff over and modifying classpaths, but the libraries I need (iFS) are not deployed to JServ; I believe they are deployed to OSE. That means I need to deploy to OSE.
    I have been messing around with this for the past two days and have yet to get a working application running. I have read numerous technet postings as well as a tremendous amount of documentation on the topic. None of them cut to the point which is: What is the recommended way to deploy a JSP/JavaBeans application that doesn't use BC4K to 9iAS? This application includes JSPs, HTMLs, JSs, CSSs, and images.
    I can successfully get my beans deployed to the 8i database. (Meaning I can see they are there in Enterprise Manager.) But my JSPs cannot see them, presumably because they are only visible to OSE and I have only been able to get my JSPs in JServ.
    I have created a domain. In the aurora shell, it is /webdomains/watermark. Question 1: How do I access the files in this domain from a browser? Question 2: How can I get JDeveloper to deploy my other web files (JSP, HTML, JS, CSS, and images) so I can access this web app. (And if I can't with JDeveloper, what's the best way to accomplish this?)
    Huge thanks to anyone who can help me with this?

    Hi,
    I would recommend taking a look at the WAR deployment tool available from the OSE team. You can download it from OTN by going to the Technologies page, then click on JSP and Servlets under the Java Technologies section, then click on Download.
    Currently, deploying to OSE from JDeveloper involves several separate steps that the WAR tool should combine for you.

  • Testing iOS apps made in AIR 3.0

    im wondering if theres a way to open a swf of an iOS app in device central, i cant find a device in the list that supports it, it says that it uses flash player 11, but the list of devices wont go futher than flash player 10.2, im using cs5.5, so how can i test my app without having to sync it everytime?, i really wish i could use it in device central

    If you do a test movie, it's testing in ADT, and that might be good enough.
    You can do faster device testing by unzipping the IPA file, and then drag the Payload/app file onto your device in the Organizer window of Xcode. That saves a lot of time.
    Or you can use tools like this one:
    http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/betabuilder-for-ios-apps/id415348946?mt=12
    It can take the IPA file build a set of files that you put onto your server, and then just email the URL to your devices. You only have to view the web page in Safari on the iPhone or iPad, and touch the link, and the app gets installed straight to the device.
    It's the same trick that TestFlight.com uses, but you can have the files on your own server, and not have to sign up with someone else's service.

  • Deploy Mappings WIthout Deployment manager.

    Hi
    I am trying to deploy mappings created in test environment to production environment without using OWB 10.1 client deployment manager. Kindly help if it’s possible.
    Many thanks in advance.
    Regards
    AnuragS

    Hi,
    Then you need to go for OMBPLUS scripting route .
    Create a deploy action for your mapping(s) and then use OMBDEPLOY to deploy the same .
    Thanks,
