Text icon has gone

I have no idea why but the text icon has gone from my BB Torch and I cannot find how to get it back. Can anybody help please?

Go to Solution.

Start by seeing if you accidentally hid it. While on your homescreen, press the menu key and select Show All or Unhide All, whichever one is available. If your icon is hidden, this will expose it.
If that doesn't uncover its whereabouts, you can reinstall it using BlackBerry Desktop Software. Plug your phone in to your PC and open BDS. Once your phone has been recognized, click Applications on the left. (I'm not sure if this method will work, it's been a long time since I've used BDS. If not, proceed to my next suggestion below.) Once in Applications, look for your text messages entry. If it has an 'X' beside it, click to change it to a check mark. If you can't do that, you'll need to reload your OS.
To reload your OS, open BDS as instructed above but then click Device at the top of the software then click Restore. Choose the most recent restore point and load it to your phone.

I have the exact same problem. I have not changed anything. This is probably a bug or something that has gone bad with Mac OS X (10.7.2). I have not found any solution for this on the web.

That keyboard shortcut is for Pages '09.

Inspector > Link > Merge
but you need to have inserted merge fields into your document.
Menu > Insert > Merge Filed/Sender Field

My fireefox icon has gone from my computer. So the only way I can upload firefox is to go into programmes and double click the firefox programme.

go into the start menu > all programs & right click the firefox icon. in the context menu select "send to" and then "desktop (create a shortcut)" (not sure if those are the exact terms since i use a non-english os)

Updates are supposed to improve the device! Sorry that this did not occur. What device do you have? Are you using the default message keyboard? Have you tried powering the device off/on?

Sometimes too many open apps will hide it, but if it closed,
Restart the Creative Cloud app. Look for it in Spotlight.

Help! AirPlay icon has gone gone gone!

No idea how or why but it's gone. I tried to reset but to no avail. Same on other iPad....is this all iPads? What has gone on?

If you restarted your modem for some reason, you might run into this problem. Put your apple tv to sleep, then switch off wifi on your iPad. Close your Music and/or Movies app in your iPad. Turn apple tv back on, and enable wifi on your iPad.
You should now be able to establish a link between the two. Remember it didn't happen instantly, though. Speed my vary but it works for me.

Missing applications icon, app is installed and opens, but icon has gone

I just got a replacement iPhone 4S and restored the phone as a backup. Stupidly, the backup did not rearrange my apps back into the folders and so they were all separate. However, the amount of apps may have exceeded the amount of screens that can load, as a few of my apps simy disappeared. HOWEVER I can open the apps perfectly fine using the search function. I just can not locate the application at all. One of them is Facebook messenger which is a very distinguishable blue, but I can only open it from the search function and then by double clicking home for currently opened apps. What has happened to the actual app icon?

If you still can not find app then likely it has "disappeared" then you might have restricted access to it unknowingly. Go to settings > general > restrictions > disable restrictions > turn install apps on

You cannot delete it.
It is likely on another page, in a folder or you have restrictions set.
Check all of these.
If you do not solve, then reset the home screen layout.

I normally check my available hard drive space by clicking on the icon hardrive in finder window. However in Lion its not there. where is it? How do i check available space?

Go to Finder Preferences (in the Finder menu) > General tab, make sure the item "Hard Disks" is checkmarked. Once it is, your hard drive's icon should appear on the desktop in the rightmost column.
You can also maintain a quickly viewable summary. In Finder, go to the View menu and select Show Status Bar. That will add a narrow area at the bottom of each Finder window. In that area will be shown the amount of free space remaining on the drive, as well as the number of items in that folder.

Paint brush tool screen icon has gone crazy

Hope someone has a quick fix...
When I select my paintbrush tool, instead of getting the little shape and size of my brush on the screen, I'm getting randomly either an arrow or a paint bucket. The tool still works, but it's impossible to see what I'm doing. Anyone know what might be wrong and how I can get my tool back? I tried disk utility repair, no luck.
Mac OS 10.5.7, photoshop CS4. Also using two monitors, one of them is a Wacom Cintiq.
