Text parameters in a 2d table

How can I change the text parameters (such as color) in a specific column/row location in a 2D table? Changing the color for an entire column is obvious, but I can't find a method for changing a single table value.
I have tables which are mostly populated with channel property values. I would like to change certain values to red if they fail to meet a spec.

Nothing I put in the Format: box seems to affect any numbers in the table columns. This includes the common built-in formats such as d.dd, #hh:nn, etc.
I am using the Text list Data Type in the table. The example I found in the help files uses the Channel Data Type. Perhaps that is the issue.
If I select either Expression or Variable as the Data Type in the Table Columns tab, the "Format:" box is ghosted out in the Column Properties/Text Parameters tab. However, they are not ghosted for Channel and Text list Data Types. There does seem to be some odd behavior when selecting the Text List Data Type after selecting Expression or Variable Data Types. The "Format:" box remains ghosted until the Channel Data Type is selected first. Then "Text List" can be selected and the "Format:" box is not ghosted.
The data in my table does not come from within a channel - it comes from property values previously written that that channel.I have been using the Text List Data Type and then using an variable such as
@@Data.GetChannel("[1]/Channel Data").Properties("A_Property_Value").Value@@
in the column textlist.
Attached is a simple table with text entered into the Column Text lists which show how common formatting values can be entered, but are ignored in the data within the table.

But I want to add bukrs to the name variable like that;

If I use the name parameter with bukrs the read_text function doesnt work.
Could you help about that ?

T-sql 2008 r2 place results from calling a stored procedure with parameters into a temp table

I would like to know if the following sql can be used to obtain specific columns from calling a stored procedure with parameters:

Animate text parameters

Can someone explain to me how to animate text parameters? I want to scale and expand tracking on a piece of text. I set keyframes in the inspector but it doesn't animate. See pics:
that title starts with a keyframe for size and tracking
But then look at the keyframes now, size and tracking is max but the title stays exactly the same.
Yes I have selected the right title in the timeline. It just seems animating these title things doesn't work. And you can't see them in the animation timeline in the timeline either.

I cannot figure out how to create text hover states in the table of contents. I want it to act like a hyperlink on websites where you hover over a link and it changes color. Any ideas?

Publishing text parameters

So I am creating a generator with (3) boxes of text. I published the generator and all of the text parameters. In FCPX when I select and change a text parameter, it also changes the other two text parameters. "Course I don't want that. What step did I miss? I will appreciate your thoughts. Thanks!

Save as Template (actually: Publish Template) allows you to save your project as a Final Cut Pro generator if you created a New "Motion Project" from the startup dialog.
You can use a Motion Project to create a Final Cut Generator, or you can start a new Final Cut Generator from the beginning. They are *exactly* the same kind of project. The only difference is that the Final Cut Generator will be saved in a location specific for use in Final Cut, whereas a "plain" Motion Project can be saved anywhere on your system. The "other types" (Effects, Titles, and Transitions) will also be saved automatically in their respective locations required by Final Cut. The convenience is: you don't have to always find the appropriate path for yourself, Motion handles it.
Motion has other startup project types: Effects, which should be picked if you plan to alter the storyline images is some way (colorizing effects, for example); Titles, which should be picked if you are dealing with editable text for the storyline (your project could be developed as a Title effect); and Transitions, which should be chosen if creating an effect that moves from one scene to another. What sets these three other types of project apart from a regular project or a generator is that you get "placeholders" that represent what is in the Final Cut Storyline when used as a template in that app. The applied placeholder (which looks like a Drop Zone, but is actually a different type of entity) is an interactive object with whatever else you develop. One difference between a Title and a Generator that uses text is: A Light object can actually cast light and shadows on the Title placeholder (the storyline in FCPX) whereas the use of a Light in a generator will have absolutely no effect on the storyline media — it will only affect the other objects in the generator (if applicable).
Don't be afraid to develop in these other types even if you are just starting out. (You can do whatever you like to the placeholders, just don't plug in any media -- they are meant to be filled with the storyline media in FCPX.) Picking the right type will make your development projects a lot more easy.

I have a standard template that my developers use for reading text files using External Tables . Each developer gets an external table to read in test data. The format the data in CSV format, but you could use others. The External Table points to a generic file name, such as "csv_data". They then just rename the file or create a link to it, depending on the OS.
My solution uses the Directory objects. The following can be put in a script and run passing the first argument as the developers name. It supports a csv file upto 15 columns, but you can expand it.

Bulk text data insertion in Partitioned Table

Hi All,
I want to insert more than 200 crore records from 5 text data files in a single table say TAB1 (PARTITIONED table with RANGE type).
Currently I am using EXTERNAL TABLE concept and providing 5 filenames (of total 45 crore records) at a time to external table definition access criteria LOCATION() with COMMA ",".
After that using following sql statement:
INSERT /*+ APPEND PARALLEL(6) */ INTO TAB1 SELECT * FROM TAB1_EXT;
Presently The execution time statistics for 45 crore records is as follows:
1)     With /*+ PARALLEL(6) */ hint, execution time : 81 Mins
2)     with /*+ APPEND PARALLEL */ hint, execution time : 73 Mins
3)     With cursor loop; bulk collect and FORALL with interval of 1000000 records, execution time : 98 Mins
Earlier the execution time was too much but after changing and trying with variation in SQL logic, DB parameter, and H/w, now it is somewhat good.
Now INDEXES are also removed from table. NOLOGGING is purposely not using as it will not be considerable at PROD environment.
Also Database is not in ARCHIVE mode now.
I also tried with change in DB parameters like SGA_MAX_SIZE which is now 16GB. I am thinking even to change DB_BLOCK_SIZE value from 8K to 32K.
O/S: LINUX
ORACLE DB: ORACLE 11g
RAM: 256 GB
48 CPU CORES, AMD Opteron (HP DL 585 Model)
If you have any suggestion, please pass it to me.

Instead of disturbing parallel coordinators you could just submit n jobs each doing a simple <b>insert into big_table select * from external_table_n</b> or something similar - all external_tables_i having the same structure just different location parameters.

Just curious, why do you say it makes very little sense to have a type modeled on a table? I do that a lot. In my case, I am getting the values from an external program, not building them manually, but it makes a lot of sense to me.
One application where I do this a lot has a java front-end that parses HL7 messages. Each message contains at least minimal information about a variable number of entities (and often several rows for an entity) in the database, and must be processed as a single atomic trasnaction. So, rather than have potentially hundreds of parameters to the "main" driver procedures for different message types I created a set of types more or less identical to the tables representing the entities. The java program parses the mesasge and populates the type, then calls the appropriate stored procedure for the message type passing in the populated types. My stored procedure then does inserts/updates or deletes as appropriate over potentially dozens of tables.

How can I align two different text row in the same table in two different way (one centered and the other one on the left)?

I put a <span> tag hoping that it has been overwhelmed the table's class properties The .bottomsel's font-family and the .Cig84's font-family and colour work but the text-align don't: they're both on the left.

Is there a way to have a "text box" stay with a table or chart?

I have multiple tables on one sheet. I understand that the table is named over in the left side of the screen. For what i need to do, I am looking at multiple tables on one sheet. Its easier to know which is which by having a text box above with its desctription. If I need to move that table I would like for the text box to move with the table it is for, rather than having to move them both seperately. Is there a way to like "merge" them together? I've selected the two together and looked for an option in the inspector & in the menu bar, yet still cant figure it out.

For a table, you can use the Table Inspector to Show Name (checkbox near the top of the Inspector pane).
As seen above, the Table name can be formatted using a choice of font, size and colour (not changed in the example). To format, click on the displayed name to select its frame/box. Then use the controls in the format bar to chose font, set size and color, and set the background colour if desired.
I had finally just figured that out before I read this, after quite some time of messing around with it. Thanks for your quick response. Wish i realized these discussions were available when I first started using numbers! How very helpful!!

i am writing an application which when executes would creates a user table and populates it with the data i.e. username and passwords taking it from a text file.
i would like to know if anybody can help as to how can i retreive the user name and password for every insert statement that will be fired to populate the user table.

Query a view w/data entered into a text field populated by 2 table fields

Hello, Looking for advise!!! I have a tabular canvas thats datablock uses a view to populate. In this canvas I have a text field that has been populated with first_name || ' ' || last_name in the database node of the property pallate column name. The text field is not in the table or view. I have created it in the data block and make it a database item. However, I would like to have the user push a search button to go into ENTER_QUERY mode then the user would enter the criteria to search on in this text field. The user would then push button to EXECUTE_QUERY. The result is I retrieve all records. I want any search criteria entered into this field to be used against the last_name field to retrieve any records equal to the search criteria entered, for example A%. Does anyone know if this is possible?

You have to use PRE-QUERY trigger to compose the search criteria. Below I put an example of it. You have to have at least one item in the block wich is true database item (e.g. it has to exist in table or view on which your block is based). In the following example EMP_DESC is your non-database search item and EMP_ID is the database one.

Thats it. Note the # sign in the first position of the Dummy assignment. This is required by forms to glue your search criteria and block's where clause. You may analize LAST_QUERY property of your block in order to understand how this work. Remember also to set the QUERY_LENGTH property of the EMP_DESC item to the value that could contain the whole Dummy string (otherwise it will give you an error and cut the mar the query).
