TextArea - HTML - img URL

I've got a textArea loading html from an external file.
The problem is with displaying images. Everything works fine
when the image URL is e.g.
http://www.domain.com/abc.jpg
(cross-domain, but no problem). When I change the URL to e.g.
http://www.domain.com/image.php?id=100
(I generate the images on-the-fly) nothing happen. HTTP header of
the generated image should be OK.
I've already spent ages on the issue. Any idea? Please help.
Thanks.

I've got it! Bloody hell!
The Image URL must have .jpg extension. So
http://www.domain.com/image.php?id=100&.jpg
works alright.
I promise, this is my last big project in Flash.

  • Needs to know why firefox did not send a request for appcache manifest file declared in the html manifest="url" and how to fix it?

    I created an HTML5 appcache app as follow:
    <!DOCTYPE html>
    <html manifest="url.manifest">
    <head>
    </head>
    <body>
    </body>
    Upon onload() event, I made several AJAX calls (POST) to the servers to load the data for the first time and they all done via HTTPS. I've inspected the servers' access log and I did not see the request for url.manifest and the loading of the appcache fails with an error (no details provided).
    Chrome is working fine with current setup and here is the content of my manifest:

  • Bug: JDev 9052 Build (1618) html:img ... /

    The XSS <style selector=...> is not honored in conjunction with the <html:img> tag.
    1. Create an xss style:
    <style selector=".handIconGroup">
    <property name="cursor">hand</property>
    <includeStyle name="DarkAccentBackground"/>
    </style>
    2. Create a UIX page and add the following widgets:
    a. <html:img style="handIconGroup" ... />
    b. <textInput sytle=handIconGroup" ... />
    4. Run the page, and hover over both widgets.
    I expected the cursor to turn into a "hand" when hovered over both widgets. The <html:img ... /> tag dose not respect the handIconGroup style.

    Typo:
    <textInput sytle="handIconGroup" ... />
    should read
    <textInput styleClass="handIconGroup" ... />

              HttpServletResponse resp = request.getServletResponse(true);

    This is showing me a login prompt, instead of directly logging me in.

  • Content Server pcs:html:img tag

    I am attempting to create custom news article presentation & data entry templates. The data entry template includes a text field where the user would specify the filename of an image that will be included in the presentation of the news article. I am having trouble with syntax for the filename property in the presentation image. I found an example the looks like this
    <pcs:html:img expr:src="itemByPath('images/logo.gif').location" attr:border="0" attr:align="absmiddle" style="UNARY" ></pcs:html:img>
    This works great, however I need to use the filename property something like this
    <pcs:html:img expr:src="itemByPath('images/<pcs:value expr="imageName"></pcs:value>').location" attr:border="0" attr:align="absmiddle" style="UNARY" ></pcs:html:img>
    Any suggestion on how to do this is greatly appreciated!

    Hi!
    I get the same error. I think it is a class loading problem. I noticed that both pdkjava.jar and pdkstruts.jar contains the class oracle.webdb.provider.v2.struts.StrutsUtils, but only pdkstruts.jar implements the method isPortalRequest(). The classloader has obviously loaded the other version of the class already.
    Both jar files is in the WEB-INF\lib directory of my war file. Has anyone else found a solution to this problem?

  • How  to transmit data from textarea-HTML to an Applet on MAC OS

    Hi, i'm writing an applet and I would like to use in my applet the data coming from a textarea of the same html page and at the end of my applet, i want to update this textarea.
    I'm working on MAC OS (LiveConnect doesn't work).
    Java-Javascript :
    I've tried the system of invisible frame with javascript that i've found at this address: http://www.rgagnon.com/ce/java-js.html, but the data are transmitted via the url (by means of the get method) and i've too much data to move. I've tried to post the data to a cgi script and i've used the showDocument method but i can't get the data that i've posted.
    Javascript-Java :
    I've tried the solution given at the same address but it doesn't work at all because : 1) the method getDocumentBase() doesn't gives the parameters 2) it still uses the get method.
    I would appreciate any help.

    If i include the textarea in my applet, I'll have many web sites (which are already working with an embedded texarea) to update.
    and to be very accurate, the textarea is in another page and my applet is "alone" in a pop-up window.

  • Best Practice For Referencing JPEG Path Using Servlets To Prepare HTML IMG

    I am migrating a legacy app from Tomcat 5 to Weblogic 11g (10.3). In the legacy app, servlets write HTML that uses relative paths for <IMG src="../images/img.jpeg"> and <script src="../javascript/js.js">. The app is deployed as an exploded archive. Unfortunately, none of the images or script are being loaded. I've tried using http://serverIP:portNum/contextName/images/img.jpeg"> but it doesn't work. I've also checked to get the name of the context in the servlet and it's the root context. Could it have something to do with me having to append .war onto the application when I deploy it? Would it help if I deployed it as a war inside an ear? Basically, I want some best practices for doing this on Weblogic 11g. There are a lot of images and javascript and I'm really hoping they don't have to be inserted using ClassLoader.getResourceAsStream()... thank you.

    Best Practice:
    1. Move Static files like images, css, java scripts to a web server infrastructure if available.
    2. If this is not your case, then please send your directory information how you have packaged your EAR. I can advice :)

  • Can't load images under Linux with JavaFX img url

    I have a simple Imageview

    fitWidth: 200;

    //url: "{__DIR__}pictures/pic2.jpg"
    it works under Windows like line 2. Line 3 works under Windows and Linux,
    but Line 1 does not load a image under Linux ?!?
    What is the reason for that? any help?

    Hi raychen and Company
    ok, this is big trouble. I tested it under Windows XP SP3 and Fedora 12.
    The Image URL does not work equal under both system
    Windows: url: "file:/
    Linux: url "file://
    so much for the Java VM makes it system independable, NOT.
    Any workaround?
    Where can I fill a JavaFX Bugreport?

  • Dynamic XML content displayed in HTML using url variable

    Hi guys,
    The following is code i am having issues with:
    <script type="text/javascript">
    <!--
    var xml_connect_00 = "new Spry.Data.XMLDataSet(";
    var xml_connect_01 = "assets/xml/toolkit.xml\",
    \"toolkit/section/";
    var xml_connect_02 =
    "/product\",{sortOnLoad:\"product_name\",sortOrderOnLoad:\"ascending\"";
    var xml_connect_03 = ")";
    // Create variable to see if there is a ? in the url
    var url_input = document.URL.indexOf('?');
    // Create variable from ? in the url to the end of the string
    var xml_category = document.URL.substring(url_input+1,
    document.URL.length);
    var dsSoftware =
    document.write(xml_connect_00,xml_connect_01,xml_category,xml_connect_02,xml_connect_03);
    --->
    </script>
    dsSoftware is my XML Data set connection string, and by using
    document.write, the correct string i want is displayed (in my
    html), but - as you can probably guess by now(!) - i want it to
    display in the actual Javascript code so i can connect to the xml
    file and display the contents depending on the url variable sent.
    Is this possible, and if so, am i going about it the right
    way? I am not the most proficient at JavaScript, so may have some
    ugly code (and not even 100% that this can even be done)!!
    Just to give you an outline as to why i am doing this - my
    XML file has different categories within it for different products.
    I send the category name via a url variable to another page
    (containing the above code) that will display the appropriate
    category information depending on what url variable is sent.
    Cheers in advance for any help.

    Me again!
    Sorry to keep updating, but i have now surpassed my last
    question and got the alert to work correctly. The question i have
    now regards the following code:
    <script type="text/javascript">
    <!--
    var params = Spry.Utils.getLocationParamsAsObject();
    var dsSoftware = new
    Spry.Data.XMLDataSet("assets/xml/toolkit.xml", "toolkit/section");
    //If the URL parameter 'software' has a value, set the XPath
    that includes a filter and then load the data.
    if (params.software){
    dsSoftware.setXPath("toolkit/section[name =
    '"+params.software+"']/product");
    dsSoftware.loadData();
    //alert(params.software);
    //-->
    </script>
    Everything seems to work without error, but i cannot load my
    xml file. The problem, i think, is that my xml heirachy is as
    follows:
    "toolkit/section/section_name/product"
    section_name is unique for each section, and that is what i
    am trying to pass through the url variable, so i can display all
    the products from that section.
    Can anyone tell me what i am doing wrong?
    Cheers in advance - again!!

  • Manipulate SWF after loading with HTML img through XML

    I am using XML and HTML to load a SWF file into a TextArea.  The SWF is displayed at runtime but doesn't work.  I'm assuming it is due to _root conflict.  I want to set _lockroot=true on the SWF thinking that it will use it's own root timeline. But my question is how to access it?  How to get it's ID path when loaded this way.  And secondly will _lockroot do it or is there some other way to get it to work as an embedded SWF object?

    Thanks. So I'll need the Flash source file to apply lockroot  - or I would need to open the SWF in a pop up HTML page if no source is available.  (or use a decompiler to add the code to the SWF ?)

  • HTML img tag and src attribute as a byte[]

    Hi everybody
    I have a question is it possible to send a byte[] to the src attribute in a <img> HTML tag. What i would like to gain is a way of reading an img file from the jar in a custom tag which is no problem. Problems start when i want to send a byte[] which I have read from the InputStream to the StringBuffer which contains the HTML code.
    byte[] dataByte = null;
    String charEncoding = "UTF-8";
    InputStream in = imageURL.openStream(); //InputStream to the img file inside a jar
    StringBuffer buffer = new StringBuffer();
    StringBuffer sb = new StringBuffer();
    String imgData = "";
    int data;
    while((data = in.read()) != -1)
    buffer.append(new Integer(data).toString(), charEncoding);
    imgData = buffer.toString();
    dataByte = imgData.getBytes();The problem starts in this line, i think i need some encoding to do this.
    sb.append("<img src=\""+dataByte.toString()+"\">");thx in advance

    I know that u can do something like that :

  • RoboHelp HTML - Updating URL's

    Hi,
    I have inherited a number of Robohelp HTML Ver 8 projects for which I need to update links. The links (mainly documents) have been relocated to a new location but the file names remain the same. Is there a way of editing the the path property of the URL have it it updated across the project.
    Currently I am using the show link option - edit link - but it's slow.
    thanks
    wowronin

    Hi WoWronin and welcome to the RH community.
    I am assuming that these files are external to your RH project and you are just linking to them? If so, you could use a find and replace utility to update the link. Just make sure that your RH project is not open and take a backup before changing anything. Two favourites among the forum users are FAR and BkReplacEm. You can read about and download them from here.

  • Parse HTML from URL

    Hello everyone,
    I am working on a project where I need to be able to pull data out of a website. So essentially I will give the program the url of the site and then parse the source to extract the information I need. If the built in java html parsing a good choice or are there some third party libraries you would recommend. Let me know if you need more detail and thanks for any help.

    Badly-designed XML might have element names like that, though. So you ought to go back and see if you're actually getting XML. In that case you should use an XML parser instead of an HTML parser. And it may well be possible to write an XPath expression that finds such elements.
