The following location is not accessible, because it is in a different site collection
Hi,
I have an InfoPath full trust form which has been uploaded to the Central Administration. I activated the form in a Form Library using Content Management. Unfortunately, when I try to load the InfoPath form in the public machine, it throws for the error below:
The following location is not accessible, because it is in a different site collection: http://109.91.111.45:8080/sites/sbc/Success/Forms/AllItems.aspx.
Can someone please help?
Please read the below scenario may be what LarsLL & Derek are referring to.
For Example:
Consider a Farm where we have one App server & one WFE. If we create a Web Application in App Server the url will be like
http://<<appServerName>>:12345/
We can access the site using the WFE name also like this
http://<<WFE ServerName>>:12345/ but when the user tries to access the form from this site we may get this error.
To resolve this create an Alternate Access Mapping for the site at
http://<<WFE ServerName>>:12345/ to ensure this site can be resolved by InfoPath.
Cause:
This happens when InfoPath tries to load the Form. It would try to verify if the Site collection exists. Read the article here

Starting in 2015 I get the following error when I try to import my photos. "The following files were not imported because they could not be read" -DSC8416.NEF I've been importing the same type of photos with no errors then 2015 came along and now I can no longer import.
The error message is misleading, the problem is that you need WRITE privileges added to the destination directory tree.
Assuming you are using the "date" structure that LR defaults to, find the directory that contains the 2014 folder (the one that works) and add WRITE rights to the parent of "2014".
While you are there, if you want, add "2015" folder to beside "2014" and add READ and WRITE rights to that new directory. -
Why am I getting this error message when I try to import? "The following files were not imported because they could not be read. (645)" I can see them
Is was working this morning!Depends on your operating system
Go to google, try typing in
Change permissions Windows
or
Change permissions Mac -
LR 5 - using it on a MAC-
Error message: "the following files were not imported because they could not be read (335).
I have been working with several forums and have tried all recommendations and none have worked.
I have tried reloading new LR 5 - and it worked for a short time and then stopped.
Very frustrated that I cannot talk with someone at Adobe.
The folks that have made recommendations are great but once their suggestions dont work they drop the link,
Is there someone or someplace I can take my computer to fix this issue.
It seems to be a problem between LR and Yosemite. The permissions have been changed on the destination folder where the photos are to be copied into.
You must make sure that the permissions are set to Read and Write.
Or perhaps the destination folder has been changed accidentally to something else, and you need to change it back to whatever it used to be. -
I get an error message "the following files were not imprted because they could not be read (266) on Lightroom 4 on my desktop.
No problems importing the files onto my laptop. Using a SANDISK card reader and card. What's going on on the desktop?Leanne, check the write pernissions on the folder/drive you are attempting to import into on your desktop. The message usually means "cannot be written" - a not so clear message.

Keeps coming up:"The following files were not imported because they could not be read." And it's ALL the photos. never had this problem be4. what gives? Using an SD card, its a 64GB 600x Speed . I'm on a Mac 10.8.5; iPhoto has no problem importing them.
In order to see the windows that show sharing and permissions I gave you above, you have to right click on the the item, e.g. folder, HD, etc., and this window comes up. Then you right click on "Get Info" and the windows with S/P pop up. In LR%, if I right click on Destinations folder, this is what comes up:
There is no option to "Get Info", and if I right click within Destinations folder, this is what comes up:
Still no "Get Info". If I click on the specific file (in this case "2015), this is all I get: Last thought, yesterday out of desperation, I called the Apple store. I am operating on Mountain Lion operating system, and Yosemite is the latest (as of 10/14). The manager suggested that if there had been an update in LR5 that was now only compatible with this later system, maybe that was the issue and I should consider updating to Yosemite. I had no problem downloading photos as of 9/14, but don't think I've done anymore since their update….when was the last LR5 (I'm using LR5.7 currently)? Do you think this might be the problem with permissions? -
The following files were not imported because the files could not be read.(254)
This is an issue that just happened and I don't know if it is related to the upgrade to 4.3 or not. Can some one help me with this, please? This message comes up when I try to import to light room. A box comes up that says "Import Results" then the error message shows with a group of file numbers that wouldn't import. I have looked at everything I can think of to remedy this situation but I am not finding any thing.
Are you importing directly from a card or do you copy the files to your hard disk and then import them from there? I've found that the second method seems to be more reliable.

Someone please help...I am very annoyed with Lightroom as I have been trying to import photos with no success
This message means that you don't have permission to write to the destination folder or disk drive. This is an operating system issue that can be resolved by changing permissions. And you can get plenty of information on how to do that by doing a web search for "change disk permissions".

Lightroom cannot read files, yet they can be imported by copying them.
Jim is correct. This is very likely a permissions problem. If you have checked and are CERTAIN the permissions are correct you should, in this order:
1.Repair Permissions
2.Reset your preference file by holding down [Shift][Opt] and Launching Lightroom. -
Anyone had this problem syncing iPhone 5 with iTunes on macbook pro?
Update iTunes to newest version.
If this did not solve.
Try different cable, and different usb port. -
Dsc_5122nef dsc_5123JPG Everything worked fine for the last week. The only thing changed is I removed lightroom 5. How can I reinstall Lightroom 5
Its a 100% failure. I was trying to import 37 photos all failed. I can still import into Lightroom 5. I also can import into Lightroom CC on my other Mac. I tried importing from different cards, my other 7100 and my 5300 same problem. I have tried every combination of card reader, camera and computer I have. The only only time the message shows up is when I try to import into Lightroom CC on my 27 in Mac. Thanks Art

"the following files were not imported because they could not be read"
I am using windows. This problem just started. Any ideas?
Hi, southern_ang,
Novice to novice, I would try just about anything before I would muck around with WRITE settings, since I, as a novice, have absolutely no clue what those are. I would try moving your pictures out of iPhoto. Somewhere in Mac OS, there is a directory called "pictures", just like there is one called "documents". I would take one of your least favorite shots out of iphoto and move it into a picture folder outside of iPhoto. Be sure that the photo still has the .jpg extension, If it works, it works. There is probably an easier solution, but that, it seems to me, again as a novice, requires the least amount of mucking around with computer settings. And, if it works, you know that you should just forget about iPhoto in the future. I have a Mac, and personally, I never use iPhoto for storage. I just load all of my photos onto an external hard-drive and access them from there. Solves the computer death problem, too. -
I have been making Christmas Cards, working in layers and then flattening the image. However, I am unable to save the final image as I get the following message: Could not save because the disk is full. Looking at the system report for my laptop shows there is 52GB of free space.
Well, running on a 2006 model. I did not have a startup disc. Initially, it booted up on original software in 2006. Since then, I've upgraded to 10.6 via a box set. And, since then I think I popped it up to lion.
All I have on a disc is snow leopard. And, I can't get farther than the setup screen due to hard drive. I'm taking to a apple authorized repair store right now. We'll see what they tell me . I'm just going to weigh the cost of repair vs. buying new.
Another bad, stupid thing is I had no means of backing up my stuff. So, I might have lost things like music, vids, etc. we'll see if they can recover. If the cost is too much for repair I might just forget it and start over with a new system. Just not sure at this point. -
My Mac OSX (version 10.7.5) is coming up with error message when I try to write a disc "The disc can’t be burned because the disc drive is not accessible (error code 0x80020020)." I have tried several discs with the same message - Same also when I tried my external disc writer. Both disc drives will read my discs that have music or photos on it, it just won't write any new discs - any clues?
Hi Klaus1
So, I tried all the suggestions and followed the links - all to no avail.
as you can see, (screenshot below) my iMac is a 21.5 inch late 2009 model which isn't showing in the updates listed above
My system report shows that my Mac has the following:
I reset the PRAM and the SMC - still have the same error message when I try to burn discs. I've used both CD's and DVD's and tried with my external Discwriter too.
Any further suggestions?? -
I have PS 6 and just purchased an iMac and am running OS 10.10.1 (Yosemite). When i try to Save or Save As a file I get the following message: Could not save as "Whatever.psd" because this file is locked, you do not have necessary access permissions, or another program is using the file. Use the Get Info command in the Finder to ensure the file is unlocked and you have permission to access the file. If the problem persists, save the document to a different file or duplicate it in the Finder. Any suggestions? Thanks.
