When I go to Bookmarks, and I go to Bookmarks Toolbar, the list of bookmarks used to have the little logos/icons associated with the company, etc. I liked these. When v9.0.1 updated, I lost these. Is there a way for not book marking the same link Again and again ?
When I browse the web i keep book marking stuffs i feel intrested in. But the problem is i may book mark the same page again since i look up to my book marks maybe weeks later. So is there a way to stop this. maybe some think like a pop up menu reminding me i have already book marked this page.
I would also like to know is there a way to arrange book marks in order. Like the links from same page get organize together. Similar stuffs automatically gets sorted out. any thing like that..?You can't avoid that if you drag a link.<br />
If you drag a link to a folder then Firefox doesn't check if the link already exists as this is a way to have multiple copies of a bookmark in addition on to a copy/paste.<br />
To avoid having multiple bookmarks of the same link you would have to click the star on the location bar twice to bookmark the link and subsequently open the Edit This Bookmark dialog. -

What do the little icons in mail mean, is there a list of them somewhere?
If you mean the little icons next to the message like below. It indicates you've replied to a message, an arrow going to the right means you've forwarded the message and a paper clip indicates an attachment.
Items on the toolbar can be identified by right clicking the toolbar and selecting icons with text. -

A quick question, well 2 really!
I have a specially inquisitive client, who is always asking me difficult questions:
1) In mail, what do the little icons mean that you sometimes get when opening an IMAP account. They look like little circles next to the inbox name - one has, like, 3 quarters filled in, the other has, maybe, 1/8th filled in... I can't find this information anywhere!
2) Why does it take longer to show messages for IMAP accounts? I guess its because Mail is checking the synchronisation (or something else) between Mail and the IMAP server, but what's the official line?!?!

Since no-one else has replied I'll try to answer your question.
The circle you discribe is shown to the rightside of inbox when the Mail-app is connecting (retrieving) messages. Or when you click on another mail-box such as Trash or Junk. If it's not completing which it should then disappear, Apple suggests you go to DOT-MAC & read your mail there. This is because since the release of Tiger or mid 2005 Mail-app has difficulty reading unread mail from DOT-MAC! But I do find that if it's already open it can sort my in-coming Junk mail OK! And un-read messages. This answers your second question, I hope this helps. -
My Mac crashed today for the first time in the seven years I have owned it. I was working in Photoshop. It had been getting slower and slower in Photoshop. Now I can't start the computer at all. Using the Installer CD, I can't get through to use the Disk Utility to try to fix it. The computer gets bogged down in disk utility "gathering disk information." I can't get past this to reach the first aid tab. The little icon just keeps going round and round. Any advice would be much appreciated. Thanks.
You may have had a hard drive failure. Have you been hearing any unusual sounds? Have you been getting messages about a full hard drive?

Applecare Senior Advisor Txx Bxxx (I have his contact info in an email he just sent) just confirmed with me that the problem people are having with the App Store not loading is an apple issue with there servers, ITS NOT YOUR IPAD so don't go restoring it! It's not happening to everyone however but they are looking into it, its really hit or miss.

Try this first - Reset the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons.
This works for some users. Not sure why.
Go to Settings>General>Date and Time> Set Automatically>Off. Set the date ahead by about a year.Then see if you can connect to the store.

I created a book on iPhoto. I click on the buy button, and I get a message that says Connecting with a moving blue striped rectangle. I am connected to the internet and I have made books before without any problems. I have tried for the past two weeks at various times and I get this same message each time. Any ideas about what is going on?
First confirm that you can create a PDF file of your book as described in this Apple document: iPhoto '11: Preview a book, card, or calendar before you order or print it. Post back with the results.

I'm going to assume that since you deleted your hard drive and all its files, you had a backup, yes? If the backup has an OS (bootable clone), then you can boot into it by holding down the option key when you start up you iMac and choose the backup drive. Then use Carbon Copy Cloner or Super Duper to copy the files back to your iMac.

I hired a commercial artist to create a color image for the cover of a self published book. I want a black and white image for the inside. The commercial artist has not responded to this request. How do I determine the format of the color image, I'm guessing it's Illustrator's formatting but I don't know. How can I find out if Illustrator will open the file and allow alterations? The image opens only in Apple's Pages software?

It seems that all you have is a raster image, presumable PNG24 or JPEG, in RGB.
It may have been created as raster artwork in Photoshop, or it may have been created as vector artwork with the help of Illy, or as a mixture of vector and raster artwork in either application, or both combined.
If you just need to have a raster representation in black and white based on the current colour image, you may try this, in a new RGB document (View>Smart Guides are your friends):
1) File>Place the image (you may tick Link or untick and have it embedded);
2) Create a rectangle with black fill (R = G = B = 0), at least as large as the image, and place it behind the image (you may ClickDrag with the Rectangle Tool between opposite corners, then Ctrl/Cmd+X+B);
3) Select all and in the Transparnecy palette flyout click Make Opacity Mask with both Clip and Invert Mask ticked. -
Mail, what are the meaning of the little icons?
Does anyone know where to find the meanings of the little icons next to each mailbox? ie. one looks like a thunderbolt, another looks like a clock.
I think the thunderbolt means the mailbox is offline, and the clock means it is currently trying to go online...

FInally I got my AppleTV and connected it to my TV and network , sadly it took me hours until I succeed to activate airplay after finding out in some forum that I need to reset my network connections and the airplay icon will appear , happily it happend and I start looking for answers regarding the huge lag in mirroring stage ( which still huge problem that have to be solve after I will solve the airplay disappear issue) .

It's not necessary, but is a good troubleshooting step. How to do so varies from brand to brand. Look at the manufacturers website, they should have a manual available that explains how to access the settings and change it.

Have you checked in the add-ons menu to see if Evernote Clearly is still installed and running? This article explains how to disable an add-on -- in your case you want to make sure it's actually enabled, not disabled, but hopefully the instructions can still be helpful as a way to point you to where in Firefox you change these settings.
