The old someclass$1.class issue

I'm testing pulling project files from jb6 Pro from source safe and running it on another machine with the same installation and config. I have a swing class that has 6 $number.class entries in the deployment jar, and on the other machine I have 4. This causes a difference in the jar size, and doesn't give me a good feeling about this style of team building. However, the application works the same on both machines. Does anyone know why one machine has more inner classes than another using the same code and project settings?
Thanks in advance,
Stu

I am looking for an explanation of why I got the
"ORA-01194: file 1 needs more recovery" error.You issued command recover database which means full recovery, but your recover command fail (which you dont want to investigate) and then you tried to open the DB with resetlogs BUT how the hell can you open it bcz the recovery is not done yet.
Let me tell you that if you are thinking that you can open the database any time with reset logs, so its not true my friend it still need recovery upto a certain time. If you start a cancel based incomplete recovery then you can open your DB with resetlogs at any time you want but in your case you ask for full recovery, the controlfile and the datafiles are not in sync yet so you can't open if until you apply all the archive with current redologs. Read this for backup and recovery architecture:
http://download-east.oracle.com/docs/cd/B19306_01/backup.102/b14192/toc.htm
And here is the explaination of your error from oracle:
$oerr ora 1194
01194, 00000, "file %s needs more recovery to be consistent"
// *Cause:  An incomplete recovery session was started, but an insufficient
// number of logs were applied to make the file consistent. The
// reported file was not closed cleanly when it was last opened by
// the database. It must be recovered to a time when it was not being
// updated. The most likely cause of this error is forgetting to
// restore the file from a backup before doing incomplete recovery.
// *Action: Either apply more logs until the file is consistent or restore
// the file from an older backup and repeat recovery.

  • A user uploads a new pdf (using Dreamweaver) but still gets the old version back in browser.

    She downloads the file from the site, and gets the old version of the file instead of the one she just uploaded. I tried it myself and everything is done correctly: the new file is on the server but download keeps displaying the old version. Dreamweaver ticks off the bytes as they are going upstream. I can RDP to the server and see that the newer version is there (by datetime stamp). She is using IE 8 if relevant.
    This only happens with pdf, no caching is turned on in IIS6 - all content updates are instant.
    I have gone in to the temp internet files and deleted the cached version of the file and emptied the trash (Win XP) but it still serves the old version.
    This issue has been reported by other users, but I thought it was user error until it was staring me in the face.
    My final verification was to upload the new document with a new name, delete the old document, and rename the new name to the old name - after that it delivered the new document
    How do I tell the (non-tech) user fix this?
    I've seen references to this on other sites (now that I know it is real, I dug deeper) but the solutions proposed mostly seem to involve changing the query string by adding somthing to the end of it.
    This is out of reach of my user.
    I can't be the first person to encounter this right?
    And note that I went into the server... the document was uploaded, and IIS caching is off.
    I was told by someone here (and I can't reproduce it in my office) that I should tell the user to go to Adobe Reader | Edit | Preferences | Internet.
    Then tell her to uncheck all three boxes (display in browser, allow fast, and allow speculative)
    But I don't see how that would fix it - remember that I deleted the pdf from the internet cache and that didn't solve it.
    Thanks,

    I've faced this before too.
    I've tried many different approaches but the most reliable way I've ever found of handling it is to rename the new PDF each time (e.g. adding the revision date into the filename) and update the link in the web page to point to the renamed PDF.
    Works every time.

    Hello, Im new to this website. Im having issues with my Macbook. I have the old 2009 model Macbook and it is our schools macbook. The school just upgraded these MacBooks to OSX Mavericks and when i try to open Minecraft it won't let me. It says no jdk installed. I also try to install Java SE runtime but half way through the Software Update it says cant download software because of network problem but I'm connected to the internet and i can browse stuff just fine. Can any one help with my problems. P.S. I don't know the administrator password or stuff like that. And yes we are allowed to play games and stuff on these laptops but only at home not at school so don't tell me i need to focus on school and not games.

    Since you updated the operating system, it is probably Minecraft is missing certain files that ware remove or are not longer comparable with the new version of the OSX. what I recommend, is to check is there is an update for Minecraft and install that. If there is not update available, probably the best thing will be reinstalling Minecraft. Hope this will help you.

    Since purchasing the Note 3 in October i have had nothing but issues. I went through all the steps and eventually I was sent a different phone, which was working for the most part until the recent upgrade. Now I am back to the old issues, no service, it actually says not moblie network available, when everyone else in my family has coverage and are on my plan with iphones. I am missing text messages and dropping calls left and right. This is unacceptable for the cost of this phone and my service. I have did a hard reset etc. What else can I do??

    Use the trackpad to scroll, thats what it was designed for. The scroll bars automatically disappear when not being used and will appear if you scroll up or down using the trackpad.
    This is a user-to-user forum and most people will post on here if they have problems. You very rarely get people posting to say there update went smooth. The fact is the vast majority of Mountain Lion users will not be experiencing any major problems with the OS, or maybe with apps which are not compatible, but thats hardly Apple's fault if developers don't update their apps.

  • How to deal with the old instances of any class?

    Hi,
    I have a doubt regarding the old instances of any class. Currently i am designing a game in java swing. I have a new game button, which creates a new game instance of the game class. There might be conditions that the old game is finished and user has clicked for new game button. The old game instance is no more useful for me. In fact that old instance must be deleted from the memory and a new instance should reside in the memory until user again proceed for a new game.
    I want to ask that how to destroy old instances of any class?
    Thank you.

    All you can do is remove any reference to it:
    myGame = null;If that was the last reference then it will be eligible for garbage collection and it MAY be collected.And note that there's rarely a good reason to do this. In most cases, simply letting things go out of scope when the method that uses them ends is sufficient. About the only time you need to explicitly set something to null like this is, for example, if you're implementing a collection class and you want to remove an entry.

    I've a few issues, my old computer was out of memory.  I changed to a new one which already had another itunes account (for my business)  when i upgraded to os5 my library has dissappeared as it has syncd with the new computer.  Is there any way i can restore the information previously from my ipad?  really appreciate any advice thanx in advance

    Lynda-
    If you still have the old computer, you should be able to connect the iPad, run iTunes and restore from a backup from a previous sync.  Now that you have it updated, you will not need to do that again.

  • Due to NAS issues, when I started a new time machine backup it did not have the old backups available. My question is do I need to delete them or will time machine automatically reclaim the space?  Only one Sparse Bundle, same name.

    Due to NAS issues, when I started a new time machine backup it did not have the old backups available. My question is do I need to delete them or will time machine automatically reclaim the space?  There is only one sparse bundle but when I enter time machine I don't see my historic backups.  I use a synology DS212 for my time machine.  Started a new backup which is 218gb but it says 618 gb is occupied  therefore it looks like 2 or 3 backups are still on the disk. Before my NAS issues the last backup was in 2014.  As you can see there is a second sparse bundle from 2012.  Not sure what that is.

    This is an old message now, but what happened to me similarly was:
    I had a major computer crash and through complicated pathways ended up reinstalling (Mavericks) as a new user (long story).
    At least I had good Time Machine backups on an NAS drive (Synology DS212j), or so I thought - when I started Time Machine up again, the old backup file was gone, replaced by a new one using my "new computer" name. The old file was gone both by directly mounting the NAS drive and by clicking "Enter Time Machine".
    It's like I had {OldShareName}.sparsebundle and then it was replaced by {NewShareName}.sparsebundle, all of the old info vanished.
    (I have spent a week finding old files elsewhere and have completed a satisfactory self-restore. It pays to "archive" [my own variation of] as well as "back-up".)
    My belief is that if this were a wired-netword-drive, e.g. plugged right into my iMac with a USB cable, then the old file would have remained.
    But this is an NAS drive, connected directly to my Airport wireless router, and I don't know the significance of the fact that it stores its Time Machine backups as "sparsebundle" files rather than simply as plain(er) files.
    As usual when things get complicated with computers (not just Apple computers) there was never a warning message. Something like "YOU'RE ABOUT TO DELETE A TIME MACHINE BACK-UP FILE!!!" would have made my life a lot simpler.
    BTW, I did try a "restore from Time Machine" option the first thing I had my "new computer" (old hardware, 2009 iMac) up and running, using Migration Assistant, and it ran for many hours and then failed in the wee hours - what that has to do with anything I'm not sure.
    I'm not sure that I have a question about this other than "why do these things happen to me?", but it's a warning. Apart from that I've been very happy with the stability and reliability (but not the cost or set-up complexity) of NAS vs. directly-cabled external drives.

  • Switching iTunes (older version) from an old latptop with mechanical issues to iTunes on a new computer.  The hard drive, issue free, was placed in external drive enclosure.  How do I recover iTunes?

    I'm trying to moves iTunes (older version) from an old latptop with mechanical issues (non working screen, keyboard, and battery) to iTunes on a new computer.  The hard drive, issue free, was placed in external drive enclosure.  This was a cost effective way instead of dumping lots of money in an outdated old laptop while I can invest it into a new laptop.  How do I recover iTunes?
    I'm switching from a 3G phone to a blank 4GS in the process.  I would like to have everything that was on my 3G phone and iTunes on my new phone and computer.
    Thanks

    iTunes: How to move [or copy] your music [library] to a new computer [or another drive] - http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4527
    Quick answer if you use iTunes' default preferences settings:  Copy the entire iTunes folder (and in doing so all its subfolders and files) intact to the other drive.  Open iTunes and immediately hold down the Option (alt) key (shift on Windows), then guide it to the new location of the library.

    Hey,
    I cant get rid off the current page when i want to go to the next page! this.dispose(); doesnt work because the class doesnt implement ActionListener!! This is the code that i have used:
    JButton back = new JButton("BACK");
            back.addActionListener(new ActionListener()
                  public void actionPerformed(ActionEvent e)
                       VowelmSound s = new VowelmSound();
                        s.setSize(Toolkit.getDefaultToolkit().getScreenSize());
                        s.show();
                        //this.dispose();
             });         });       and this is the code for main
    public static void main(String[] args)
    {JFrame draw = new punjabidraw();
             draw.setVisible(true);
    }so was wondering if there was another method i could use to get rid of the old page?? repaint maybe???
    Hope you can help
    Kind Regards

    //this.dispose(); 'This' is a nameless ActionListener object. Can't be dispose()ed.
    What do you want to dispose() really?
    And, what is your punjabidraw class?
    Save the currend page reference in a variable called, say, curPage, then do
    curPage.dispose();in the event handler for the button.

    Hi,
    Have you tried some of these? http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1533
    The first things I would try would be to press shift during start up, this will boot into safe mode.
    I think you'll need to purchase a copy of Snow Leopard to re-install the OS.
    There's another couple of suggestions here; http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1417 where you can boot into single user mode and look at repairing disk permissions if that's the problem.
    I would hope that if you could boot into safe mode or single user mode, then that may automatically rectify your current issue. If not, then I'm pretty certain that a fresh install will be the ultimate answer.

    I bought two audio books on iTunes but they will not play. My old books play without issue but the new ones do not.

    Did you copy your actual iTunes content from your computer before reinstalling iTunes, or did you just copy your iTunes library which only contains the pointers to your songs / books locations ?
    You might, depending upon your country and if they are still in your country's store, be able to redownload your music purchases and your ibooks via the Purchased link under Quick Links on the right-hand side of the iTunes store homepage - you will need to delete the entries from your library (where you are getting the 'unable to locate' messages) before they will potentially show with the cloud icon against them in Purchased for redownloading.
    Or copy them from your backup of your downloads/library and add them to your iTunes library via File > Add To Library

  • The Yahoo password in the mail settings of all my Apple devices has reverted to an old version and, no matter what I try, following advice from the community, it always returns to the old password.  How can I solve this issue?

    The Yahoo password in the mail setting on all my apple devices - iPad, iPhone 5, mini iPad - has permanently reverted to an old version.  I have tried all the suggestions provided by the community so far but nothing works. When I delete the account and re-enter the details, the updated password is recognised and seems to save but, when I go back into the account, the old password is the one that is there.
    I am desperate! How can I solve this issue please?
