The Photo Browser in Mail does not exist in my Macbook.
The Aperture Tutorial mentioned that I can click on the Photo Browser button in the toolbar in Mail. However, the Photo Browser Button in Mail does not exist in my Mail.app. I tried to customize toolbar but did not find such option. They only way is to open the Photo Browser from "Window" in the top menu bar. I mean, it works in the tutorial videos but not in my system. Any way to fix it?
(I am running Mac OS 10.6.2, and Aperture 3)
this button only exists in a message composition window, not in the main message list window. start a new message and this button will be there on the top right.

Photo Browser in Mail does not show iPhoto after migration
I've posted in this in the iPhoto '08 thread but I'm thinking this is a Mail issue.
After using the Migration Assistant to move files from my MacBook to my iMac, when in Mail, the "Photo Browser" shows photos from Photo Booth but no longer from iPhoto.

Hello,
I have an issue while installing SQL Server 2008 R2 Express. When I was installing SQL Server, I occurred an error message as shown in the figure.
I have followed couple of links as in
this and
this links but it did not fix the issue. Can anyone help me on this issue?
Regards
GauravHi gauravroondhe2306,
According to your description, you fail to install SQL Server 2008 R2 express with the error that SQL Server Browser service group does not exist. Please help to post SQL Server setup error log for analysis. By default, SQL Server setup summary and detail
logs are located in C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\100\Setup Bootstrap\Log.
Based on my research, this issue could occur when you install SQL Server on a Domain Controller, or the machine's name has been changed and the browser service group is named with the original machine's name.
To troubleshoot the issue, you could follow the solutions below.
1.Use SQL Server 2008 R2 Best Practice Analyzer to detect if SQL Server is installed on a domain controller. If SQL Server is installed on a domain controller, please demote your machine from being a domain controller and install the SQL Server again since
it is not recommended to install SQL Server on a domain controller.
2.Check if the name of local user group matches the machine's current name. If it doesn't match, please change the name of the local user group accordingly, and install SQL Server again. For more information about the process, please refer to the article:

Package javax.mail does not exist (Still having trouble)
Good Morning
I know that there are several posts regarding issues with javamail. I have viewed them for the past hour. While several of them address my issue I have been unable to locate a solution.
Bare with me please, I am making this post very thorough. The other threads I have read are frusterating because the problems people tend to post are not clear.
I am trying to run "msgsend" which is a provided demo of javamail-1.4 using command prompt (start - run - cmd) with the javac command.

Here are the methods I have tried...
1. Make sure you have most current version of Java
2. Reinstall Java
3. Attempt to compile in an IDE (Attempted in Eclipse 3.2)
4. Set class path
Some sources suggest "CLASSPATH" some suggest "CLASS PATH" as the variable name. I have tried both.
Below is what the classpath looks like in bold.
Variable Name: CLASS PATH
Variable value: c:\download\javamail-1.4\mail.jar;C:\download\jaf-1.1\activation.jar;.
I have double checked all folder names and copy pasted all entries to eliminate typos. Javamail-1.4 and jaf-1.1 are both located in c:\download which is the same location Class Path points to.
Thank you very much for your input and effort. I can imagine how frusterating it is responding to 20million javamail posts :) (that may be a bit of an overstatement!)
Thank you again!

irbiYes - I have read that part of the README and did exactly as it has said in a previous attempt. I should have mentioned that here I'm sorry :)
I moved the .jar files into the download folder and set the classpath exactly as the readme shows.
When I do that the msgsend.java compiles correctly but it still does not run.
Below is what happens.
C:\download\javamail-1.4\demo>set CLASSPATH=%CLASSPATH%;c:\download\javamail-1.4
\mail.jar;%CLASSPATH%;c:\download\jaf-1.1\activation.jar.
C:\download\javamail-1.4\demo>javac msgsend.java
C:\download\javamail-1.4\demo>java msgsend.java
Exception in thread "main" java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: msgsend/java
C:\download\javamail-1.4\demo>
I have tried fixing this error as well via forums and FAQs but it seems to be the most generic error.
One suggestion was to clear your classpath. I tried this with a test hello world program which was giving the same error - "NoClassDefFoundError". By clearing the classpath I was able to get the hello world program to run without this error. But I can't just clear the classpath in this instance because it needs to point to mail.jar and activation.jar for the program to compile.
Thanks again for all of your efforts. You are more appreciated than you know. -
Dreamweaver newest - Cloud
Windows 7 Prof 64b SP1
Everyday now upon firing up Dreamweaver I am getting the same error. As long as I worked on this certain site last the day before, dreamweaver of course tries to load that site upon the next startup.
The error: The local root folder, ZZZZZZ, does not exist. Please choose a new local root folder
I have typed the path myself and browsed to it many times. When I go into the Site manager/edit site to correct this, it already has the correct path listed there. If I just leave what is there and hit save, it doesn't work. Once re entering is done it allows me to work on the site again. Connecting to remote/upload files and everything works fine. I can close DW and reopen and all will be fine, for a while. If I close it and maybe two hours later come back to work on it, DW will report that same error again on startup.
Other editors of the site with same cloud version of DW and same site settings are not having this error. We've combed for differences.
I've deleted the site definition altogether and recreated it. It does not stop the error.
I found some old references to this issue in the old macromedia forums dealing with Mac and spaces or odd characters being an issue in the local folder path. I'm on windows, but the complaints sounded so similar I decided to try a test suggested there. Their suggestion was to create a new blank html file, without saving, add some text, select the text, use the link icon in the properties manager to drag a link out to any file in the files panel. Upon doing so, DW creates a full local path that you can see in your html since you haven't saved the file yet. The suggestors of this test said you should see if your "mac" and DW was having trouble with spaces or odd characters in the path. Well the following path shows a PIPE character being created in the path by DW on my test page.
file:///W|/private/09 Websites/zzzzzz/index.html
Could this be showing there is some kind of issue that I need to correct? Or is this typical? See the pipe character being listed after the network drive letter of W
Our local root folder path:
W:\private\09 Websites\zzzzzz\
Server Settings:
Root Directory:
public_html/zzzzzz.com/
Web URL:
HypertextTransferProtocolCOLON//worldwideweb.zzzzzz.commercial/
Any help or suggestions would be appreciated.Sudarshan Thiagarajan wrote:

Is this how your remote setting is defined? If it is, do you have a folder called zzzzz.com on your remote server trailing public_html? Ideally public_html is your website root - index.html resides within that, unless your configuration states otherwise.
To come to your actual question of the local root folder, yes, your file manager wont show files if the connection fails. However, accessing it depends on the permissions you have on your network drive. Have you checked that?
I'm not sure why our guy has another folder underneath public_html. My guess is he has some company related hosted test folders for various things under there. I can see a couple other folders under public_html while checking with filezilla. I suppose he just directed our domain to our web folder under public_html.
Again, two others here are using these exact same settings with no root folder errors from DW. We've checked many times and all is the same for them.
Here are some screen grabs of the settings if this makes it more clear.
This last one showing the remote connection address under the files/assets panel is the one that looks strange to me. It shows a home folder / then a folder with our site name / then public_html / then our sitename.com . Seems convoluted to me. But it works for everyone else so I'm not sure if this error I'm getting has anything to do with these settings or if there is just some old DW settings file hung up in my system that I need to find and delete or what.
Thanks for any ideas. -

I would like to thank warnerja for your advise about the classpath.
Thanks for the classpath information regarding the .jar files. Now when I start tomcat cat it runs appropriately. However I am still having a problem when i try to compile the message send demo. The message I get is javax.mail does not exist,(import javax.mail.) when I downloade the mail api I placed on the root of my D drive and i placed the mail and activation jar files in my lib folded of my Jakarta-3.2.1 lib folder. I graduated Chubb Institute back in october and am currently still looking for work so my memory but be a little fuzzy as to whether or not this is correct. Your help is greatly appreciated. If you are just compiling the classes then you should check that the mail.jar file is in your compiler classpath. How you check and set it depends on how you are compiling it and on what system etc.

Using SQL Server 2012 SP1
I have a user that is submitting a procedure that uses sp_send_dbmail. I have also noticed that they have the following code in their procedure
DECLARE @rc INT
IF NOT EXISTS (SELECT * FROM msdb.sys.service_queues
WHERE name = N'ExternalMailQueue' AND is_receive_enabled = 1)
EXEC @rc = msdb.dbo.sysmail_start_sp
The user submits the procedure and she gets the email but she also gets the following error message:
Msg 15151, Level 16, State 1, Procedure sysmail_start_sp, Line 8
Cannot alter the queue 'ExternalMailQueue', because it does not exist or you do not have permission.
Mail (Id: 2402) queued.
(1 row(s) affected)
I have granted execute to sp_send_dbmail and sysmail_start_sp. I have also granted select to service_queues.
Does anyone have any solutions for the above error message?
lcerniThe contents of sysmail_start_sp is this:
CREATE PROCEDURE sysmail_start_sp
AS
SET NOCOUNT ON
DECLARE @rc INT
DECLARE @localmessage nvarchar(255)
ALTER QUEUE ExternalMailQueue WITH STATUS = ON
SELECT @rc = @@ERROR
IF(@rc = 0)
BEGIN
ALTER QUEUE ExternalMailQueue WITH ACTIVATION (STATUS = ON);
SET @localmessage = FORMATMESSAGE(14639, SUSER_SNAME())
exec msdb.dbo.sysmail_logmailevent_sp @event_type=1, @description=@localmessage
END
RETURN @rc
The user get the error, because she does not have any permission on the queue in question. To be able to alter the queue, the following applies according to Books Online:
Permission for altering a queue defaults to the owner of the queue, members of the db_ddladmin or db_owner fixed database roles, and members of the sysadmin fixed server role.
Note that is would be db_ddladmin or db_owner in msdb. Now, supposedly the queue is already active, and in that case I think that it is sufficient that the user has VIEW DEFINITION on the view. This would permit her to see the row in sys.service_queues,
why there would be no need to call sysmail_start_sp.
Altertanively, change the check to:
DECLARE @isenabled bit
SELECT @isenabled = (SELECT is_receive_enabled FROM msdb.sys.service_queues
WHERE name = N'ExternalMailQueue')
IF @isenabled = 0
EXEC @rc = msdb.dbo.sysmail_start_sp
The idea here is that, if the user has no permission to read the information in the DMV, @isenabled will be NULL, and you just pray and hope that the queue is up and running.
I suspect that the reason this worked for you on SQL 2005 is that on that instance someone at some point in made all the required configurations for it to work, but all that is forgotten now. That happens to me too.
If you really want the user to be able to start the queue, I have some better ideas than adding her to a role, but I skip the details for now.

Package javax.mail does not exist. Please Help !
Hi all,
I am new to Java and I downloaded some sample application and when I try to compile it, I get an error:
"package javax.mail does not exist".
I've looked through forums and I know something is wrong with CLASSPATHS and that I also have to download the java mail package, but I dont know how to exactly fix this problem. I would appreciate very much if someone could help me, maybe by telling me the steps I need to take.
Thanks.Hey Rom,
Thanks for reply.
The sample application is an authentication module:
http://java.sun.com/j2se/1.4.2/docs/guide/security/jaas/tutorials/GeneralAcnOnly.html
But I think this doesnt really matter, as the error I get is because I have manually added the : import java.mail.*; statement. (Maybe I had to mention it in the previous post). Because I want to add some mail client inside.
I am compiling it using the command: javac, from the commandline menu. -

Hi
I have a " AirPort Time Capsule " (firmware 7.7.3) When I try to open the data folder in "finder". Then I got the message " The operation can not be completed because the original item for " data" does not exist". I have a lot of data and I can understand why I get this message?
Anyone who can help? Thanks..
Br. BoGet a USB drive of 2TB or more.. assuming your TC is 2TB. Either preformatted Mac or plug into your Mac and format it standard Mac OS Extended Journaled in disk utility.
Do a full archive of the TC. You do this using airport utility. Do not click the erase disk.. I marked in green.. just the archive.. that is to backup the internal disk to the USB disk. It is not fast.. take it that the process will go at around 40-50GB/hr.
Once you complete the archive .. it is a direct image of the data on your TC.. you can then plug it into your computer directly.. and then try and open the files you lost.. if you cannot open them.. open disk utility and fix the permissions.
http://osxdaily.com/2015/01/13/repair-disk-permissions-mac-os-x/
Or try the methods apple recommends..
OS X Yosemite: Set permissions for items on your Mac
It is possible to fix things on the USB drive because it is locally mounted.. but you cannot fix it on TC which is network drive. -
