The same delivery in two document for shipment

Hello,
I wonder if there is a way to block the delivery if it is already in another document shipment. Is there any way in customizing? Because the way it is configured the system is allowing a single delivery is contained in two documents of freight transport and calculating twice.
observation - the delivery is not split.
Thanks,
Tatiane

Hi,
In standard system I'm not aware of any setting that would restrict the assignemnt of one delivery to several shipment.
http://help.sap.com/erp2005_ehp_04/helpdata/EN/5f/e411bb044411d2bf5d0000e8a7386f/frameset.htm
Since a delivery for which the billing document is to be created can be part of several shipments (for example, in the case of a transportation chain), it can happen that several shipment cost documents need to be calculated so that the billing document itself can at all be created.
I guess you have to:
- use proper selection criteria when assigning deliveries to the shipment (e.g. proper transportation planning status (VBUK-TRSTA) --> you can define variants)
- go to development (SPRO > LE > Transportation > System Modifications > User Exits for Transportation + SPRO > LE > Transportation > System Modifications > Biusiness Add-In in Transportation)
In Is-Oil there are built in checks:

  • Can create twice billing document for the same delivery in STO

    Hi experts,
I donot have problems in Standard Sales order when I create billing doc via VF01. When I try to create another billing doc in VF01 for the same delivery it says error, as the item is already invoiced.
    This is correct.
But while creating invoice for STO order, system allows me to create more than 1 billing document for the same delivery. If we accidentally or purposefully create it allows to create many.
Could you let me know where in SPRO (IMG) I can control this?
    Thanks,
    Pri

    Hi
STO billing if it is intercompany STO followed by IV billing type you can create only once
No special settings reqd to achieve this as you bill  (IV billing type) the delivery the first time, the delivery status gets completed
If Intracompany, the billing type is proforma invoice F8  and this can be created as many times as you wish as proforma doesnot update accounting
    if your issue is this
Even this also if you want to restrict only once then try with copying requirenments 311 at item level (i hope standard item category NLN is used) in VTFL between header NL to F8

  • 2 material document number having the same delivery number???

    hi
is it possible to have 2 different material document numbers assigned to the same Outbound delivery number????
the situation is that one of the material document number was assigned to a particular delivery number  say 'a'  and deleted later on a particular date.
on the same date another material document number was created with  the same delivery number 'a'.
is this possible to happen .(i.e functionally correct)   ?????? bcoz i am getting such type of output in transaction "MIGO"...
PLZ HELP .POINTS WILL B AWARDED!!!

    Hi,
Yes,it is possible. If you take example of partial delivery then say for example one delivery contains 10 items.Out of whixh I have delivered 4 yesterday and 6 today. This is done via creating transfer orders. Then two material documents will be created at time of PGI but they will refer to same delivery number.

  • How to Get Choices as a Dropdown from a different Column for the same Item In a Document Library?

    Hello All,
I was trying to see if there is any way that we can get the choices for a Field from another filed in the same item in a Document Library.
    To be specific.
I have Created a Project Document Set, Which has a Column called "Project Members" where all the members will be listed. This will be inherited to all the documents in that Project Document Set. This is used to grant Permission using Workflow.
I also have "Document Members" Column(This is only for Documents) who will be given Edit permissions to that Document using a Workflow. This can be any type of column(choice, People or Group etc) As long as I can select multiple values.
I am looking for a way to get the "Project Members"(Values or Users) as choices for "Document Members". I know this is possible in the List as you can customize in the InfoPath Form. But not sure in the Document Library.
Document Members can only be the members from the Project Members, In order to grant granular Permissions for the project And Documents using a Workflow

No. A value set and a supply function are two completely different things. You use this Context API to populate the value set for an attribute:
    IF_WD_CONTEXT_NODE_INFO=>SET_ATTRIBUTE_VALUE_SET
Value Sets are also how ByKey UI elements (like the DropDownByKey) are built.  Here is a help document that discusses value sets - but in the context of the ByKey UI elements.  The process is the same for creating the value set however:

  • Multiple hierarchial structuring for Accounts that apply at the same time to a document

    Use Case:
There are 2 ways of logically grouping entities for our UCM Accounts permission:
For external Partner users (one  taxonomy applies)
@Corp/Partner1, @Corp/Partner1(Region 1)   are valid accounts that can be assigned to users so that they get access to documents owned by all their Subsidiary companies or specifically their company - Partner in Region 1.
For internal users (both taxonomy applies),
@Corp/Region1, @Corp/Region 1/Partner 1(Region 1)   are valid accounts that can be assigned to be users so that they get access to documents owned by all Partners in Region1 or  specifically Partner1  in Region 1.
@Corp/Partner1, @Corp/Partner1(Region 1)   are valid accounts that can be assigned to users so that they get access to documents owned by all the Subsidiary companies of Partner 1 or specifically Partner in Region 1.
    Question:
At the document level in UCM, looks like only one Account structure can be tagged. Given that,
How can we deign this using Accounts so that both taxonomies are supported at the same time to provision security for both internal and external users?
Do we have to use ACLs (Role Entity ACL component) as that is the only one that seems to be support multiple roles with OR condition? If so, can we totally bypass Accounts to only use Role Entity ACLs without performance impact?

    Hi user11282566
Please refer http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E23943_01/doc.1111/e10792/c05_security.htm#CSMSP569 and it makes the statement mentioned below
When accounts are used, the account becomes the primary permission to satisfy before security group permissions are applied. You can also think of a user's access to a particular document as the intersection between their account permissions and security group permissions.
Ideally, you can use any of the combination. But when you enable accounts, security model gets update like - every content should belong to some security group and account. And account should be the primary condition to satisfy before security group permissions are evaluated. So this might make you different security groups for different context based on your requirement. Please take care of this aspect.
I've not used Oracle Document Cloud yet, so cant comment on security model. Below links from a-team might provide you some pointers

If you''ve an instance you can sign-up for oracle document cloud and try some test cases.

  • Posting multiple goods issues against the same delivery

    Hello gurus,
We are a fashion apparel company using ECC 6.0 and would like to know if it is possible to post mutliple goods issues against the same delivery?
I will explain the business requirement.
    - We create a stock transport order to deliver 400 units of merchandise to on or our retail stores (STO is created and processed to a delivery).
    - This information is passed down to our warehouse management system (which is not SAP)
    - Our warehouse management system has the ability to split a delivery into multiple shipment when needed.  For example, our warehouse may only be able to complete 250 units for our morning shipment and will therefore pick, pack and post this.  This will feed back into SAP and process a 641 movement so that the units now show as "in transit".  This is needed so that our stores can process the ASN and move the units into their inventory when they receive the merchandise later that day.
    - During the afternoon, our warehouse will process the remaining 150 units and will ship this to our store later in the evening or next day.
Currently, we are not able to process another goods issue against a delivery as we close out the delivery during the first goods issue.  We would prefer not to have to generate a new delivery for our DC and let them continue to process against the same delivery, but we are unsure how to configure this.
Any help or guideance would be extremely appreciated
    Thanks in advance

    Hi RJ,
First of all sorry to write such a lengthy reply,In one line if i want to summerize then it is not possible with standard SAP however we can achieve this by writing some piece of code in both the system
    AS - IS
                   Business process
From business process point of view you are right that once the pick & pack is in process it is not advisable to create a new delivery document for balance quantity and share the same with WMS as then they have to create a new document in WMS and start picking based on that rather then the old delivery document number. if i am in your position then i can give a thought like this
    e.g.
    Delivery                                                  - 100 Unit
Shipment confirmation from WMS            -   60 Unit
Change in delievry quanity / Pick qty        -   60 Unit
Invoice from SAP                                    -   60 Unit
Second confirmation from WMS                          -   40  Unit
Change in the existing delivery quantity                -   Now here we have two option either
    1) Change the delivery quantity / Pick qty  to (60+40) =100 or
    2) Remove the 60 and update 40 as delivery and pick quantity
    Pros & Cons
if you will select option 1 then furhter invoice will happen for 100 unit which is incorrect as physically you are shipping only 40 unit
if you are selecting option 2 then the document flow is incorrect as you don't have history(in SAP) for the 60 unit which was shipped earlier
    Solution ::
so in my opinion the best option is to create a seperate delivery document (store the old delviery number in one of the field of the new delivery and pass the same to custom segment of the IDoc) transmit the IDoc to WMS write the validation logic in WMS
Find the record with old deliver number in the WMS system, check the status whether it is active or inactive
if it is acitive Validate the Material + qty with the WMS record(Material + balance quantity) if both are same then pass the new deliery number to custom field of the WMS table
At the time of confirming back to the SAP, Write a piece of code in SAP that if the incoming idoc custom field(new delivery number) field is populated then ignore the orignal document number and post the document using the new delivery document number
    Hope this help

  • How to create reports servers with the same name in two nodes in Reports

    Greetings

We want to provide 2 new Oracle Application Server 10g (9.0.4) in High availability and we want to avoid modify the existing forms and reports code, but the code is looking for a specific reports server name when calling reports, but I couldn't create the same reports server name in the both oas machines, I could create the reports server in only one node. I want to create a reports server with the same name in both nodes but it is not possible. I know that there is a procedure to do that in 10.1,2 (Note 437228.1, How to Create Two Reports Servers With the Same Name in the Same Subnet) but I couldn't find the equivalent procedure in 9.0.4.

  • Re: Running the same (Forte) application multiple times -for different

    Hi
We had the same problem - how to deploy a number of identical applications, using each their own db.
    (for training).
The solution we used is to wrap the entire application into different applications by using a very small
module called KURSUS01, KURSUS02 etc, that did nothing but call the start procedure of the main app.
Then in the dbsession connect, we made a call appname to get the application name, and appended the
first 8 chars to the dbname. Thus our dbnames now points to logicals name: rdbdataKURSUS01, rdbdataKURSUS02 etc.
All this allows us to deploy the identical apps in the same env, or change one version, and run both the old
and new program on the same pc and server at the same time (eg. KURSUS01 and KURSUS02).
I also think this is a kludge - but it works nicely!

    Hi All
We have a number of different business clients all willing to use our
    application.
The (forte) application is to run on our machines etc for these (business)
    clients.
All (business) clients will have their data kept in separate Oracle DBs
    (instance).
The problem now is that the entire (forte) application is written using
    DBSessions.
Now, depending on what business client needs to be serviced (so to speak) we
need to attach to the right DB - or use the "right" SO.
The two options we can think of are:
    Option1:
Programatic change to somehow "know" what (business) client (DB) I'm talking
about and then use the right DB.
    Pro:
Only one forte environment to maintain
Can run multiple (business) clients on same PC at the same time
    Con:
    Requires many program changes
    bending O-O rules(?)
can't dynamically name SOs so can it be done at all? (ResourceMGRs maybe?)
    Option2:
Use separate environments! One for each business client.
    Pro:
More defined separation of app and data,
    SLA-easy
    Con:
    Maintain "n" number of environments
Can only run the application for one environment (business client) at a time
on one PC - Big Negative here!
Not knowing any feasible solution to option 1 (without much code changes and
developer moaning) I would go for option two; as I have already worked on
