THE SIMPLEST WAY TO GET A DVD MOVIE IN IPOD VIDEO IN 2-3 HRS

I just got the Ipod video and got Quick time 7pro and everything but it is not the right software to play a DVD or get a dvd movie into ipod. So i tell you exactly what to do: go to carrydvd.com, find the version for use on symbian and psp. download it to test it or buy it to be able to convert a whole dvd movie. When you have the software ready you just put the DVD in, on the screen go where it says select video quality: PSP (MP4) Hi quality. go to screen size select 320X240 (PSP, PALM OR WINCE) PRESS PLAY BUTTON AND IT WILL COMPRESS. WHEN FINISH YOU GO TO ITUNES AND IN FILE GO TO ADD FILE TO LIBRARY, LOCATE THE MOVIE YOU JUST COMPRESSED AND ADD IT TO THE LIBRARY, THEN CONNECT THE IPOD AND JUST PUT THE MOVIE FROM THE LIBRARY TO THE IPOD AND IS READY. I JUST GOT IN MY IPOD TROY WITH THE QUALITY OF A BOUGHT VIDEO OF ITUNES MUSIC STORE.

what is the simplest way to get a xml-file from 10g R2 -database ?
    I have : 10g R2 and a xsd.file to describe the xml-structure
    thank you

There is no automatic way to generate XML documents from an arbitary set of relational tables using the information contained in an XML Schema. Typically the easiest way to generate XML from relational data is to use the SQL/XML operators (XMLElement, XMLAGG, XMLAttribtues, XMLForest). There are many examples of using these operators in the forums You can validate the generated XML against the XML Schema by registering the XML Schema with XML DB and then using the XMLType.SchemaValidate() method

What is the best way to Burn a DVD Movie, do I need a specific program?

If  you're trying to copy a commercial movie and burn it to disc, then it is expressly against the Terms of Use of this community to describe any method to illegally copy or circumvent copy protection DVD's
If you've made a movie and want to author a DVD, then you should use iDVD, Toast or, if  you're really skilled, Final Cut Pro X.
If you just want to move a movie to a DVD, which probably won't play on a DVD player, then just insert a blank DVD, and move it over from the finder.  Click burn.

  • What is the simplest way to get video from mini DV tapes into computer

My computer has no firewire connection. What is the simplest way to get the video from my camera (JVC GR-D340EK) ?

    Mikeathome
    Thanks for the reply.
The reason that I asked if this was a one time thing or not was related to my thoughts about asking you to look at the relative costs of have the DV data capture firewire done professional or by a friend versus going through looking for slots on your computer for a firewire card or purchasing a computer that still comes with a firewire port.
We will be watching for further developments.
    Thanks.

  • DVD movies to iPod video format

I often travell on official business, I am trying to rip a DVD to my ipod. My friend told me that Sothink ipod- converter can convert DVD movies to IPod video format. I have downloaded and try it,I think the Sothink IPod Video Converter is designed to be an easy company for my IPod.
    IBM   Windows XP   no

If you want a really organized package for ripping your dvds into .mp4 "ipod" format use the dvd Decrypter and Videora ipod conveter. They are very organized and they put you in control of the video/audio settings... And it couldn't be easier. Here are the links if you wanna give these FREE programs a shot
    Videora ipod converter - http://www.videora.com/en-us/Converter/iPod/
    Dvd Decrypter - http://www.mrbass.org/dvdrip/
ps... You need both because after ripping your dvd it becomes a .vob file..Ipod cannot read this so you must use videora to make it an .mp4 "ipod friendly" format.. Reply if problems occur please!!! Thanks...

We want to select on the 'ID', which occurs more than once in the xmlstring and the table gonna be big, so we think we need some kind of index on the ID-Identifier. What will be the best way to do this?

Which version of Oracle (4 digits)?
If 10.2 or greater, look into using XMLTable and that is the replacement for the table(XMLSequence(extract()) approach. Also, avoid the use of // unless you really need it. I doubt it will make a difference in your situation but just a good performance approach in general.
We want to select on the 'ID', which occurs more than once in the xmlstringI assume you are going to want the count(...) > 1 from the XML to tell you which you are selecting?
I also have questions about what that XMLType is being stored as but that depends upon what your version is regarding what storage options you have.

  • The easiest way... DVD's to iPod w/ Windows

If anyone has been having a confusion lately with how to convert DVD's to the iPod, then they should really try this, it's time consuming, but it is extremely user-friendly. Also, it's mostly automatic, just need to make some coffee and wait an hour or so.
First, find DVD decrypter... (it's dificult to find because it was recently pulled)... and install it.
    try http://www.mrbass.org/dvdrip/SetupDVDDecrypter_3.5.4.0.exe
that is where I found it to work last, I will try making a mirror.
Now run dvd decrypter, and go to MODE at the top, and then ISO, and click on READ... this will make an ISO of your dvd, and it will be unprotected so you can convert it. Next use a ISO mounting tool, like Alcohol 52%... (http://trial.alcohol-soft.com/en/)
Using alcohol 120%, open it, and drag the ISO file made by DVD decryter into the window, now drag it to the desired virtual drive in the borrom half of the alcohol panel.
now it will show up as a dvd drive in my computer... it is exactly the same as the original DVD, except that it is unprotected. Now use Quicktime, or pick your own DVD to iPod converter. I use InterVideo's iVideo2Go, but I am not sure they have a trial version, so do some research, maybe there are some more cheap software out there, but that's always been the easy part...
So using iVideoToGo, choose your source as the mounted virtual drive, set your taget as wherever you want, Copy as Apple iPod, then click on the hammer icon and choose any profile you want, the higher the frequency the better audio you get, and the lower, the smaller the file. now choose *split by chapters. (you can choose to put the whole movie into one file, but with my example movie, The Matrix, every chapter had a higher lag in video/audio synch, so you'd hear it a few seconds before it happened. Click ok, now click on Main Movie, and then click the icon in the bottom right-hand corner. once it's finished, open iTunes, click add folder and add the folder of the movie files you just made, now use the SHIFT select all of the video files, then drag to the iPod icon on the left.
That's it, just like manually managing your music files...

oh, and if you have abesolutely no money, whatsoever, feel free to email me... [email protected] for...ummm... financial aid*.;)

  • What is the best way to get CD quality audio in a video with fcpx.

I've been using fcpx to do everything for my videos, but the sound was...below par especially for what I want to do.
I'm looking for the most efficient way of doing thing. I've been trying to record the audio into garageband, edit the sound in there, and then export to fcpx and syncronize.
so I've started and just seemed like a lot of work and was wondering what do people normaly do for a thing like this?

As far as your workflow, that's for an audiophile to chime in. Regarding sound quality in FCPX...
Hmm... "CD quality" is 44kbps. FCPX can handle a sample rate BEYOND that (above a CD's sample rate.) FCPX deals in 48kbps.
When I record my VO, I set it to 48Khz, and a sample size of 16 bits. It sounds wholesome--good enough for my network bosses.
Admittedly, an audiophile may have to step in. But, I'm just showing you the benchmark at which FCPX begins--and it's definitely ABOVE "CD quality."

  • What is the simplest way to make a movie from BufferedImages?

I have a 3d rendered animation from which I can grab BufferedImages of each frame. What is the simplest way I can create a movie from these images?
I've seen the JpegImagesToMovie.java file and not only is it suprisingly overcomplicated, it requires me to change the code so that I can get images from memory rather than from files.
Is there some simple way of creating a movie which requires a few statements? I'm also prepared to use QuickTime for Java. I don't care about the format, since I can just use any video converter to convert it to my desired video format.

I recently came up with a simplified JpegImagesToMovie program. It generates QuickTime movies with a single video track output as a file. Input is a series of jpegs (currently as a list of file names, but easily modified to a take any form of jpeg data.) Since the compression used by the movie is JPEG, if you have an uncompressed image buffer, you'll need to convert that into jpeg data bytes with some quality setting. (Since its a movie file, go with something low if you have a lot of similar images.) This will even run without a full install of jmf--no native code is called (as far as I could tell..)

    * This code is an attempt to reduce the complexity to demonstrate a very basic

    * advantage of this simplified class is that you can just link it with the

    * I tried to get it to generate AVI files without success.
    * These output files are could use further compression.
    * A Vector of jpeg image paths was one way to do this--the appropriate

  • [Solved]Simplest way to get PPPoE working.

I'm building a computer for my grandfather and he'll be using Bell which provides DSL internet. I don't use Bell at my home so I can't test if it'll connect before I take it over. So what is the simplest way to get PPPoE working?
Also is it possible to install only OpenOffice Writer and not the other stuff?

    a) Install the pppoe pkg and then run pppoe-setup.
    b) Afaik no. Use Abiword instead.

  • Need a way to burn commercial DVD's to iPOD.

After I purchased the MPEG-2 option I disovered that QT7 won't play back CSS encoded DVD's. Is there a way to get commercial DVD's to iPOD? Thanks.

DO NOT BREAK THE LAW! Ripping Commercial DVD'S is against the law. Please Read The TOU:
    Keep within the Law
    1. No material may be submitted that is intended to promote or commit an illegal act.
    2. Do not submit software or descriptions of processes that break or otherwise ‘work around’ digital rights management software or hardware. This includes conversations about ‘ripping’ DVDs or working around FairPlay software used on the iTunes Store.

  • When I'm done with my fcp sequence, whats the best way to get it to dvd?

When I'm done with my fcp sequence, whats the best way to get it to dvd?

The advice to go to Compressor left out the part that you may want to convert your audio to AC3 becaus ethe MPEG2 bitrate is probably too high for DVD specs.
This method is in the DVDSP manual and it's in the Compressor manual, both difficult to locate, but easily searchable.
Here's what I'd do: Export the timeline form FCP in the native sequence settings, self-contained. Bring that self-contained movie into DVDSP and let DVDSP handle the transcode.
The advice to go to iDVD is even easier.

  • I want to load movies in to my iPad through itune in my pc that runs window XP. First of all I am not able to add the movies to the itune ,leave aside sync to iPad .can some one suggest what is the simplest way to load movies in my iPad.

I have plenty of DVD which I load in my laptop and watch the movies while travel, however I am not able to do that in my iPad .
I would appreciate some one guide me the simplest way of loading the movies in to my iPad. I tried the conventional procedure of loading/copying in to itune then sync to the iPad to load all movies in it, but failed to do the first step( not able to load /copy in itune) leave aside the sync to iPad next.
Do I need to sellout some 20 odd $ to buy a conversion software that would help?
Is it that Apple trying to make money by not making this simplest of thing possible by the user.( ref. windows, every thing is possible with little IQ of the user).
If it is so , I would stop many of my friends to restrain from buying a device like this by spending some 1000$   ,rather look at a good Droid that is catching up so well.

If you are the only user on your computer you probably don't have multiple user accounts set up and can disregard that.  If you are using iTunes 11 go to View>Show Sidebar.  Now see if your iPad appears under Devices on the left side when you connect it.  If it does, click on the name of your iPad on the left side and your iTunes sync settings options will appear in folders with tabbed headings to the right.
If it doesn't appear on the left side, follow the troubleshooting steps shown in this article: http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1538.

  • What is the best way to burn full hd movie to dvd

Hi i need to find the best way to burn full hd movie from panasonic camcorder to dvd thanks

    Hi
    There is NON !
as DVD is as Standard (Whatever program used) - only Interlaced SD-Video Quality
So if You need better then
    • Use Blu-Ray (Roxio Toast™ + BD-Burner and Disks)
    • or Save out to an USB-Memory stick and play this
What's worse is that iMovie'08 or 09 or 11 - Can not deliver even DVD-Standard but degrades the quality by discarding every second line in the picture. This happens when going from Eventy's to Project's - Ther is no way around this but to use another program that can deliver as
    • iMovie up to HD6 - or -
    • FinalCut any version
If iMovie 08-11 are only option then do not
    • Share to iDVD - as this also degrades the final DVD - but -
    • Share to Media Browser - and as MEDIUM (or ev. as Large) - NOT HD or other resolution as this too degrades the final DVD due to BAD downscaling in iDVD program.
    My notes on DVD quality:
    DVD quality
    1. iDVD 08, 09 & 11 has three levels of qualities. (version 7.0.1, 7,0.4 & 7.1.1) and iDVD 6 has the two last ones
    • Professional Quality
(movies + menus up to 120 min.) - BEST (but not always for short movies e.g. up to 45 minutes in total)
    • Best Performances
(movies + menus less than 60 min.) - High quality on final DVD (Can be best for short movies)
    • High Quality (in iDVD08 or 09) / Best Quality (in iDVD6)
(movies + menus up to 120 min.) - slightly lower quality than above
Menu can take 15 minutes or even more - I use a very simple one with no audio or animation like ”Brushed Metal” in old Themes.
    About double on DL DVDs.
    2. Video from
    • FCE/P - Export out as full quality QuickTime.mov (not self-containing, no conversion)
    • iMovie x-6 - Don't use ”Share/Export to iDVD” = destructive even to movie project and especially so
when the movie includes photos and the Ken Burns effect NOT is used. Instead just drop or import the iMovie movie project icon (with a Star on it) into iDVD theme window.
    • iMovie’08 or 09 or 11 are not meant to go to iDVD. Go via Media Browser or rather use iMovie HD 6 from start.
    3. I use Roxio Toast™ to make an as slow burn as possibly e.g. x4 or x1 (in iDVD’08 or 09  this can also be set)
This can also be done with Apple’s Disk Utilities application when burning from a DiskImage.
    4. There has to be about or more than 25Gb free space on internal (start-up) hard disk. iDVD can't
use an external one as scratch disk (if it is not start-up disc). For SD-Video - if HD-material is used I guess that 4 to 5 times more would do.
    5. I use Verbatim ( also recommended by many - Taiyo Yuden DVDs - I can’t get hold of it to test )
    6. I use DVD-R (no +R or +/-RW) - DVD-R play’s on more and older DVD-Players
    7. Keep NTSC to NTSC - or - PAL to PAL when going from iMovie to iDVD
(I use JES_Deinterlacer to keep frame per sec. same from editing to the Video-DVD result.)
    8. Don’t burn more than three DVDs at a time - but let the laser cool off for a while before next batch.
    iDVD quality also depends on.
    • DVD is a standard in it self. It is Standard Definition Quality = Same as on old CRT-TV sets and can not
    deliver anything better that this.
HD-DVD was a short-lived standard and it was only a few Toshiba DVD-players that could playback.
These DVDs could be made in DVD-Studio Pro. But they don’t playback on any other standard DVD-Player.
Blu-Ray / BD can be coded onto DVDs but limited in time to - about 20-30 minutes and then need
    _ Roxio Toast™ 10 Pro incl. BD-component
_ BD disks and burner if full length movies are to be stored
_ BD-Player or PlayStation3 - to be able to playback
The BD-encoded DVDs can be play-backed IF Mac also have Roxio DVD-player tool. Not on any standard Mac or DVD-player
Full BD-disks needs a BD-player (in Mac) as they need blue-laser to be read. No red-laser can do this.
    • HOW much free space is there on Your internal (start-up) hard disk. Go for approx. 25Gb.
less than 5Gb and Your result will most probably not play.
    • How it was recorded - Tripod vs Handheld Camera. A stable picture will give a much higher quality
    • Audio is most often more critical than picture. Bad audio and with dropouts usually results in a non-viewed movie.
    • Use of Video-editor. iMovie’08 or 09 or 11 are not the tools for DVD-production. They discard every second line resulting in a close to VHS-tape quality.
iMovie 1 to HD6 and FinalCut any version delivers same quality as Camera record in = 100% to iDVD
    • What kind of movie project You drop into it. MPEG4 seems to be a bad choice.
other strange formats are .avi, .wmv, .flash etc. Convert to streamingDV first
Also audio formats matters. I use only .aiff or from miniDV tape Camera 16-bit
strange formats often problematic are .avi, .wmv, audio from iTunes, .mp3 etc
Convert to .aiff first and use this in movie project
    • What kind of standard - NTSC movie and NTSC DVD or PAL to PAL - no mix.
(If You need to change to do a NTSC DVD from PAL material let JES_Deinterlacer_3.2.2 do the conversion)
(Dropping a PAL movie into a NTSC iDVD project
(US) NTSC DVDs most often are playable in EU
(EU) PAL DVDs most often needs to be converted to play in US
UNLESS. They are play-backed by a Mac - then You need not to care
    • What kind of DVDs You are using. I use Verbatim DVD-R (this brand AND no +R or +/-RW)
    • How You encode and burn it. Two settings prior iDVD’08 or 09
Pro Quality (only in iDVD 08 & 09)
Best / High Quality (not always - most often not)
Best / High Performances (most often my choice before Pro Quality)
    1. go to iDVD pref. menu and select tab far right and set burn speed to x1 (less errors = plays better) - only in iDVD 08 & 09
(x4 by some and may be even better)
    2. Project info. Select Professional Encoding - only in iDVD 08 & 09.
    Region codes.
iDVD - only burn Region = 0 - meaning - DVDs are playable everywhere
DVD Studio pro can set Region codes.
    1 = US
    2 = EU

What it turned out to be was the "quality" settings in iDVD. The total clip time was NOT over 2 hours or 4.7GB, yet iDVD created massive visual artifacts on the "professional quality" setting.
I switched the settings to "high quality" which solved the problem. According iDVD help, "high quality" determines the best bit rate for the clips you have.
I have NEVER seen iDVD do this before, especially when I was under the 2 hour and 4.7GB limits.
For anyone else, there seem to be 2 places in iDVD to set quality settings, the first is under "preferences" and the second under "project info." They do NOT seem to be linked (i.e. if you change one, the other is NOT changed). take care, Mario
to get this to work I
    • Secure a minimum of 25Gb free space on Start-Up (Mac OS) hard disk
    • Use Verbatim DVD-R (absolutely no +/-RW)
    • Set down burn speed to x4 - less burn errors = plays on more devices
    • No other process running in background as - ScreenSaver, EnergySaver OR TIMEMACHINE etc
    • and I'm very careful on what kind of video-codecs, audio file format and photo file formats I use
    • and I consider the iDVD Bug - never go back to video-editor to change/up-date - if so Start  a brand new iDVD project
    • Chapters set as they should - NO one at very beginning and no one in any transition or within 2 sec from it
    • Lay-out - Turn on TV-Safe area and keep everything buttons, titles etc WELL INSIDE not even touching it !
Try to break the process up into two stages
    • Save as a DiskImage (calculating part)
    • Burn from this .img file (burning stage)
To isolate where the problem starts.
Another thing is - Playing it onto a Blu-Ray Player. My PlayStation3 can play BD-disks but not all of my home made DVDs so to get this to work I
    • Secure a minimum of 25Gb free space on Start-Up (Mac OS) hard disk
    • Use Verbatim DVD-R (absolutely no +/-RW)
    • Set down burn speed to x4 - less burn errors = plays on more devices

TO GET IT TO WORK SLIGHTLY FASTER
    • Minimum of 25Gb free space on Start-Up hard disk
    • No other programs running in BackGround e.g. Energy-Saver
    • Don’t let HD spin down or be turned off (in Energy-Save)
    • Move hard disks that are not to be used to Trash - To be disconnected/turned off
    • Goto Spotlight and set the rest of them under Integrity (not to be scanned)
    • Set screen-saver to a folder without any photo - then make an active corner (up right for me) and set
pointer to this - turns on screen saver - to show that it has nothing to show
    • No File Vault on - Important
    • NO - TimeMachine - during iMovie/iDVD work either ! IMPORTANT
    • Lot's of icons on DeaskTop/Finder also slows down the Mac noticeably
    • Start a new User-Account and log into this and iMovie get's faster too - if a project is in a hurry
    • And let Mac run on Mains - not just on battery
