The system cannot read from the specified device
What do I do? ive tried on two computers and it says it on both computers when im trying to install! ive looked at all the troubleshooting pages and it doesnt say anything... my computer says the ipod is connected but when i try to install itunes it says that it cannot read from the specified device please help

are you getting an error message number with that error message? if so, what is it?
are you installing from the CD, or are you using installers downloaded from the Apple website?

I updated from the original version to 6.0.1 and when I re-started FF there were 4 icons on my desktop. I managed to delete one of them, but I cannot delete the other two - to leave me with just one.
I get the error message of "Cannot delete file: Cannot read from the source fie or disk".Here's the meaning of the error that you received.
"An error has occurred. ERROR :10-FC06-0002" -- may be caused by damaged recovery media or faulty hard drive"
Possible that the problem is on the recovery also.

I had to get a new hard drive for my Satellite A665 old one kept freezing up; had a recovey disk from Geek Squad when I got it but they did not work. So I ordered a Recovery Disc set from Toshiba.
A few minutes after I insert the 3nd disc, I get the following message:

I tried erasing the disk, then running the Recovery Wizard again, but wind up in the same place.It's hard to know exactly what the problem is. You might want to contact customer support because it could just be a faulty disc.

I get the following error when i try to connect to BPC Excel: The system cannot connect to the server. There might be network or security issue.
This only happen on clients machines, I have installed the client tools on the server and tested, i can connect to Excel but not on the machine. My MS office version is the same as the one on the server. BPC is ver 5.04
Has anyone experienced the same problem.
your help will be greatly appreciated.Let me summarize your issue to see if I may help. If I cannot, then you will need to work with SAP Support on the connection problem.
- You have a single or multi-server setup?
- Installed using BPC 5.1 SP3, (or 5.0.502) correct?
- You can enter the BPC on the server, both via BPC Excel and BPC Admin?
- When you initiate BPC Admin on your client, so can connect to the Server and perform Admin operations?
- When you initiate BPC for Excel, and walk through the connection wizard, you cannot connect to the server?
- When you are in the Connection Wizard, are you using a path or a Server designation?
- Is the system on a single domain?
- When you added users to the Admin Security profile, they were selected from a DOMAIN?
- You have processed security and assigned ALL TASKS currently and processed the MEMBER ACCESS profiles, yes?
After all of this, have you uninstalled 1 BPC client, cleared the ProgramFiles/BPC folder, and deleted the local stored BPC information? If you haven't, just for simplification, I would attempt this process.
You also hae read all the SAP Support Notes regarding using Excel2007 with BPC and the issues you may experience?

The system cannot connect to the Application Server
Hello Everybody,
I have a problem when connecting to my BPC Application.
I get the following error when trying to open BPC:
"The system cannot connect to the (http://xxxxxx) Application Server. Verify that you have specified a valid Application server name, or see if the application server is unavailable at this time."
We have to reboot the application server to have acces again to the application.
The osoft website was also unavailable.
The server diagnosotic was OK.
And when consulting the tblLogs table I found this message:

How can I change the default pdf reader from the installed (but not yet registered) Adobe Acrobat 9 Pro to Adobe Reader XI? I'm having some hiccups getting Adobe to register the software, but since I set it as the default .pdf reader during setup, things try (and fail) to open in the as yet unregistered software. How can I change it temporariiy to the Acrobat Reader XI that I have installed?

I'd opened file with the 'Open with' feature then clicking Adobe Reader,
but that didn't do it. When I used 'Open with', then 'Choose default
program...', it worked like a charm.

when I set BPC for Excel connection by connection wizard, I can connect to server and get application set list, but when I login application set, the system show me the message("The system cannot connect to the server"), and log off! how can I fix this problem? is it a firewall issue?

Can you compare your macro setting (Security level )compare to the system in which BPC is working. Or try as follows:
1. Unistall BPC
2. Restart system
3.Install BPC

How to do the paging while reading from the file !!!
I've able to display the contents of the file in my jsp as a tabular form. I want to apply the paging concept in my jsp page. As i did in my database project there i's sending the next value as a parameter and it works.
But when i retrieving the value from the file then i'm not able to get particular values anyhow i'm using the concepts of getLineNumber() but unable to get the previous one worked. I want to diplay only the first 20 contents of the file then, by clicking the next button he should be able to view the next 20 contents of the file. Please help me out for this problem. If possible send me the codes too it'll very helpful for me.

When the distribution points were configured, we used the Site Server Computer Account.
Now we would like to change to a service account and remove the site server computer account from the local administrators group (and add the the service account).
Can someone provide some guidance on if this is possible, and what steps should be taken to accomplish?
ThanksSure, just modify the properties of the "Site System" role in the console (in the Administration workspace under Site Configuration -> Server and Site System Roles).
Why would you do this though? It's less secure and adds an administrative burden.

I have sync toy set up to sync my Skydrive with some folders on my local drive.
I'm running windows 8.1, 64 bit
I can copy files from my local drive to the Skydrve folder with no problems,
but if I add files to my Skydrive, and then when Sync Toy runs it will not copy the files from Skydrive to the local drive and throws up the error in the title.
I have tried changing permissions on both folder pairs with no luck.
Any ideas?Try making the OneDrive files available offline.

What exactly does the "system temperature" read from...
Is it the ambient temperature inside the case.. or how hot the motherboard is. Someone please let me know.. Im having wierd heat issues.. :(

Also depends on ventilation, and how many fans you have, just check that there are no cables obstructing flow of air from CPU fan. If its in a tight case, under a desk, where there is little movement of air, they heat up quickly, try a CPU without HS or fan, don't last many seconds before it fries.
On another point, COZMAN, are you up to date with the XP64 drivers, whats available, I read you said the Realtek works, mine don't, reports unable to load as error. Any way of internet access, thought I'd be smart and fit a lan card, but we know what thought did.

Ensuring that a VO reads from the DB

I have a read-only VO (based on a SQL query) that I display in a table within a jsff page.
Some non-ADF process, changes (e.g., updates & commits) the underlying data in the database.
In order to display the updated data, in the table, we have a refresh button that
calls the execute method on the corresponding iterator (in he example below Execute1 is a binding
for the corresponding iterator.

However, in some cases it seems that the table still has stale data after clicking on the refresh button.

After your post, I realized that I can use it directly from the backing bean: something like:

Cannot export video: AME cannot read from source, Installation Error
Ok, I've seen a lot of people on here talk about this and I have tried using their solutions but nothing has worked.
I cannot export anything from Premier Pro using Media Encoder. When I try, I get an yellow warning sign saying that it cannot read from the source, and when I close out of it I get a message saying that there is an installation error and that I need to make sure it is installed correctly. I have uninstalled and re-installed ALL of my Adobe products about three times this past weekend trying to fix it and nothing has worked. I have tried making sure that there are no blank spaces in my project, I have named it several different things, I have moved it from my external drive to my main drive, to a different external drive, etc.
I am using a Macbook Pro with Snow Leopard, all of my software has been updated, and I am very frustrated.

Well, it was worth a shot, as externals/network drives have been known to cause similar.
Now, there were issues with Encore and Snow Leopard, but I do not recall all of the details, as I am a PC-guy, and have to admit that first I do not know squat about Macs, and probably do not read Mac threads as closely, as I should. Seems that Apple was working on an update to Snow Leopard, and again from recollection, it seems that that update helped several on the Encore forum. Have you updated Snow Leopard?
Sorry to just sit here guessing, and probably wasting valuable time for you, but until a Mac-user with the "fix" comes along, the PC-community will try to help. Be patient with us though. Our intentions are good ones, but our expertise is lacking - at least in MY case.
