The unit string stays editable for numerics in a non strict typedef

The change is not effective as the typedef instance keeps its defined units but may displays wrong unit string.
This is not the expected behavior to change for example m to m/s as the units are part of the type definition.
It is expected to be able to change meters to feet since it affects only the displayed number and it is not a change in physical dimensions.

It seems that if you change the base unit, everything goes awry. The control has the new units, but the unit label is never updated. This is definitely a bug. I think the bug stems from the fact of the desired behavior when you don't change the base unit (i.e. change m/s to km/s). The non-strict typedef keeps the unit label at m/s and everything works as it should. Based on what NI does for other control components for type defs, I expect this is desired behavior. The problem is that the user can change m/s to m in the typedef which is incompatible with the m/s unit label and therefore needs to be forced to update the unit string.
With a typedef, you cannot change the base unit using the unit label (take a good VI with both set to m/s, and try to change the type def instance of the control to m. LabVIEW will allow the change, but the VI will not break because LabVIEW really didn't change the units. This may be constituted as a second bug or part of the same bug.
NOTE: Non strict typedef units are m/s. Instance Unit Label changed to m. VI did not break and runs as if the units are m/s.
Perhaps the desired behavior is to break the VI when the instance of the typedef doesn't have compatible units with the typedef. That would cause the VIs to break when a typedef is updated. So, maybe in addition, the typedef needs to force a unit label update if the old and new units are not compatible.

I'd like to have the lock screen stay active for longer than 5 seconds. Too many times I've not seen a notification come through. I'd like to have it stay on for at least 5 minutes for shutting down. I have elements 10, the organizer wont stay open for more that a minute, i open it closes.

Hi all, I have elements 10 and the darn organizer will not stay open for more than a minute, which makes useing the program a pain in the butt. does anyone else have this problem and how did you fix it. Im running XP on an older machine in which the edit part works fine.HELP

Hold down your Shift key while launching the Organizer to get to the Catalog Manager. Highlight your catalog at the bottom of the window, and choose "Repair". Repeat, using "Optimize".
If that doesn't solve it, from the Catalog Manager, create a new catalog (with a different name).

I am glad that bbqdevil's *workaround* will "do the trick"
Did you give the Timer idea a try yet? It seems to me that you are really needing to know when a certain amount of time has elapsed rather than *time how long you have being taking a reading*. Will you always have your hand free to tap the Watch? If so, why would you need the StopWatch going? - just look again at the sweep second hand on the clock.
It still remains that one should be able to set the time elapsed before sleep on a Chronograph w/ sweep second WatchFace though. I have searched and searched, to no avail.
I would suggest Siri, but it seems like many issues with Siri are ongoing and might just add another problem to the mix.
If I were you, I would Call Apple Support. It is sometimes tricky to get that option in the "breadcrumb" process Apple has instituted, but I was able to test the process before suggesting this:

I need to change the duration 'before' the Watch goes to sleep while observing the Chronograph Watch Face.
I am a healthcare provider. I need to use my Watch to assist me in taking vital signs. On a normal watch, I would start counting pulses or respirations at a 15 second interval on the Analog Chronograph sweep second hand > stop counting at the next 15 sec. interval > multiply X 4 to get rate/minute.
The Watch goes to sleep after SEVEN (7) seconds !! Therefore I cannot see when 15 seconds has elapsed. I use both hands regularly in the procedure, so touching the Watch is not an option - or 'raise the Watch' to my viewing position.
I, and others in the ASC forum have searched for a Setting for the before sleep duration in vain.

How to define the boolean - String value mapping for SelectBooleanCheckBox?

I have a SelectBooleanCheckBox component whose value is bind to a bean property of type String.

The expected value for the Bean property is "Accepted" (for true) and "Rejected" (for false).
Currently, the component return String value "true" for checked and "false" for unchecked.
How do I set up the component so the boolean value can map to my expected String value?

I read that post too. However, I don't have any binding in my case because the component is bind to a bean property instead of an attribute of a view object.
Without the binding in the page definition, I can't find a place to define the mapping between the Boolean value and the expected String value.

Gamers Macbook: Ok for the Macbook to stay on for hours?

Hi, I have recently found a new obsession. A role playing game that I am addicted to over the holidays while I was off for a week. I leave my Macbook on for hours at a time sometime (over 12hrs, day after day). I know that this isn't a gamers laptop, and was wondering what was the worst that could happen from me doing this? Overheating and unexpected shutdown if there is improper ventilation around the machine, or if the machine's power manager is marginal. Backup your data frequently also, as shutdowns can both damage the directory, and lose data of work in progress.
If you notice the machine getting excessively hot, put it on a surface that dissipates heat better such as metal. Just be sure it is properly grounded first, as to not exhibit electric shock when you touch it.

scott does not work. It is not the same situation as when we start a PL/SQL session. There's nowhere to input the user name.
I experienced the same problem: When you choose 'start oracle database' from the 'start' bar, a simple dialog pops up just saying "password______". Nothing else. And, if you have tried three times, it tells you 'Error: cannot startup(?) database' and you need to try again.
There's no way to get into plsql either if you cannot do the above successfully.
Anybody from Oracle can tell us why and how to solve this problem? Quite annoying.

Hi, My 17 inch Mac pro laptop just shut down and I can't get it to turn on again. This has happen multiple times over the last six months. Looked through the forum and tried removing the battery and resetting the SMC control to no avail. I was having issues also with the screen a month ago but that resolved by itself. When I took it into the genius bar for screen problems I was told I'd probably need a new CPU board because the vram may be going bad and they just don't fix that
problem. Have held off because of a potential $500 repair and awaiting ivy bridge technology. Does anyone in the community know how I can restart my portable. Right now you turn on the machine and the front light stays on for 2 sec and you hear the machine click off?

6070 - Making the screen stay illuminated for long...

How can I increase the time the display stays illuminated? No matter what I try, the screen darkens to unreadable after about 5 seconds. I've tried adjusting the Time Out setting in Screen Saver, and I've tried turning Power Saver on and off.
I'd like the display to stay illuminated for at least a minute after key activity finishes.

Just checking up on this again because I can't seem to figure it out.

You can test your TREX server by executing the following step:
Log on to your TREX server and open up the TREX console which you can find in the TREX program folder. Normally you are now inside the python_support folder.
Execute the following script by typing: "python runInstallationText.py" and hit Enter.
The script carries out the following tests:
● Deleting any test indexes that were generated for a previous script run
● Creating a test index
● Indexing documents
● Testing search functions
● Exact, error-tolerant (fuzzy), and linguistic searches
● Search using Boolean operators such as AND and OR
The results are displayed at the end of the script run. You see the tested calls and their statuses (OK or Failed).
When you run the script for the first time, the call Delete Index has the status Failed. This is because there was no existing text index to be deleted. If this is the only cell with the status Failed, the test was successful.
Below you will see the final output generated by the test script. As stated near the bottom of this screenshot our TREX is running very well or not if there is a problem.

MartinFrom a global viewpoint there is no such thing as the OCA exam , though for an individual focused on a particular exam for a particular OCA there may be such a a default.
There are many different exams associated with the many different OCA certifications.
For some it is suitable, for some it is not.
For the exams 1z0-051 and 1z0-144 this edition would generally be suitable .... for 1z0-052 it most probably would not, and for 1z0-402 and 1z0-403 it would be useless!!

Yes. For the screen-lock passcode you can restore from backup. You may have to place the iPod in recovery mode to do the restore. For recovery mode see:

Ifyou lost the Restrictions passcode yiou have to restore to factory defaults/new iPod.
