  • TS1205 My iPhone 4S doesn't even show the sound bar. Even if I go into music, there's no sound bar at the bottom. What's wrong?

I admit, I did drop my phone into a cup of juice, but only up to the home button was submerged. From then the sound wasn't working. I put it in a cup of rice, and the sound resumed working again, but soon after it stopped working again. Not only is it not working, but sound bar isn't even displayed. When you press the side bars nothing happens, when you go to music there's no volume bar at the bottom of the page, but my ringtone continues to work. Is there anything I need to do to fix it, or should I buy a new iPhone all together?

Did you try to reset your iPhone? Hold down Power and Home buttons together until Apple logo appears.

  • There is no sound on my Ipod.

There is no sound on my ipod and I dont know how to fix it. Need help.

there are several things that could be the problem
    1. Check and see if your maximum volume setting is set incorrectly
    Settings>Volume Limit
There's a little blue arrow below the bar line. That is the maximum limit. Scroll the volume bar to whatever level you want and hit select.
    2. You could just have your volume turned down. Rub your finger around the click wheel in a clock wise motion to turn the volume up.
    3. Your headphones might be malfunctioning. Test them on another device. If they work okay, your headphone port might be malfunctioning. In that case, you would have to take/send your iPod in for servicing/replacement.

Okay, I did my best searching and I couldn't find anything that matched all your descriptors. I did do a search on both decoder numbers. SB0256 returned very little results, but with SB0466, I was able to find this ebay listing:
    http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...6_fvi%3D&_rdc=
This card isn't a Champion like you suggested. And with my complete lack of knowledge, I don't know what I/O dri've bay means. But since it is PCI and the decoder matches the number you gave me, this card should be adequete, right?
Whether it works or not, my search indicated it might be very hard for me to find that card (or any PCI card for that matter). Everything I saw was out of stock. I know this is a forum for Creative, but are there any other manufacturers that will allow me to accomplish my goal, either with current cards, or discontinued cards? Thanks again
Oh, and I will vote on that thread. I probably won't wait for them to release the decoder since I need it now, but I still believe Creative should be giving the customer what they want

  • Is there any way to make my iPod THE iTunes Library?

Is there any way to make my iPod THE iTunes Library? I would like to free up all the space my iTunes Library takes up on my MacBook Pro, so I was considering purchasing an portable external hard drive to hold my iTunes Library…then it dawned on me… why shouldn’t I just be able to use my iPod for this? But not as simply a hard drive, but be able to access my songs on the iPod the same as I do now?

You can delete all the songs from your computer and just keep them on the iPod by changing the update option of your iPod to "manually manage music and videos". In manual mode you can connect and play the songs from your iPod through iTunes on your computer. You can get details here: Managing content manually on iPod
One major word of caution. If you delete songs from your computer and have no back up other than the iPod you will risk losing them permanently if your iPod fails or you find you have to restore it to solve a problem (and that's a very strong possibility). You should reconsider your original idea of investing in an external hard drive to store/back up your music. Alternatively at the very least back up songs you can't replace such as iTunes downloads to CD or DVD. Forum member Buegie has compiled a very extensive procedure for backing up your music which you'll find at this link: Backing up iTunes
Something else to be aware of when using an iPod in manual mode is that the "Do Not Disconnect" message will remain on the display until you physically eject the device: Safely Disconnect IPod

  • Is there any way to restore my iPod if iTunes won't recognize it?

I bought my husband a 30 gig ipod for Christmas and gave it to him early. Last night I bought and installed a video converter so that he could watch movies on the ipod. This morning when he updated the device with a new video and tried to play it, the screen turned green with little black squares. Itunes does not recognize that the ipod is connected to the computer and I can't turn the ipod off. Is there any way to restore the ipod if Itunes won't recognize it?

Try this, hold the middle button and the menu button for 10 seconds while it is plugged into the computer. See if it will come back to life. You may have to try this several times. Give it a try.

The error comes about whilst trying to download certain apps from the app store, including CSR Racing which when i tap on install a message box pops up saying "This App Is Incompatible With This iPod touch", another time for a different app it came up with a message saying "This app requires OpenGL ES 2.0 graphics capability.
    Main questions:
What was achieved from the latest forces iPod touch 2g update (17/07/2012)?
    solvable problem(s)?

  • I  want to record a keybord connected by usb in an IMac and only           sound like an ambient microphone. What is wrong?

I want to record a keyboard connected by usb port and only sound like an ambient microphone. What configuration is wrong? Thank you

The optimum choice is to format it ExFAT, but do so on the PC, not the Mac. Alternatively, you can make two partitions - one for the Mac; one for the PC. Partition the drive using GUID when you make the two partitions. Format one using Mac OS Extended, Journaled. Format the other on your PC using NTFS if you won't need to write to it from the OS X side or use ExFAT if you do.
    Drive Partition and Format
    1. Open Disk Utility in your Utilities folder.
    2. After DU loads select your hard drive (this is the entry with the mfgr.'s ID and size) from the left side list. Click on the Partition tab in the DU main window.
    3. Under the Volume Scheme heading set the number of partitions from the drop down menu to two. Click on the Options button, set the partition scheme to GUID then click on the OK button. Set the format type to Mac OS Extended (Journaled.) Click on the Apply button and wait until the process has completed.
    4. Select the volume you just created (this is the sub-entry under the drive entry) you will use for Windows from the left side list. Click on the Erase tab in the DU main window.
    5. Set the format type to MSDOS.
    6. Click on the Erase button.
When you connect the drive to your PC reformat the PC volume to either NTFS or ExFAT.

  • My ipod keeps restarting, what is wrong with it?

my ipod keeps restarting and deleting music, what is wrong with it?

Try the standard fixes to rule out a software problem:
    - Reset. Nothing is lost
Reset iPod touch: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
    - Restore from backup
    - Restore to factory settings/new iPod
if still problem that indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

  • I've lost my sounds on iPad for a week What's wrong?

NO Sound at all on iPad for over a week now. I am so frustrated I have no idea what to do?
    PLease Help me???

    You have system sounds muted.
    1.  There is a button just above the volume control on the upper right side of iPad.  Change the direction of the button and look at your screen, if you see mute without a line through it, your done and system sounds will be back.
    2.  If you see Lock Orientation (that button can be programmed in settings to either mute or lock orientation), double tap your home button to bring up the most recently used apps (Task Bar).  With your finger, swipe those apps all the way to right until the very last icon shows up, which will be a mute button.  Touch it and you will unmute your ipad.  Tap home again and you're done.

  • ITunes does not sync songs/albums to my iPod Touch correctly, what's wrong?

I have my iPod set to manually manage music and videos and when I drag songs onto it through iTunes, it doesn't show up on my iPod right; like it says "unknown album" or it wont update the name, but shows up perfectly fine in itunes. I don't really know what to do, because I don't have the space to save all my music to my computer anymore ( I never had these issues when I set it to sync everything). Any suggestions?

Try right clicking on the movie then click on Advanced (at the top of the iTunes window) it gives you the option of creating an iPod/iPhone version .

  • Says there's an error, but it published anyway! What's wrong

I have iWeb 1.1.2 and am building a web site to post on a trial version of .mac.
Things went well for the first 2 weeks, but recently I keep getting an error message: "Publish error. There was an error updating .mac." I tried the suggestions I found here, but I kept getting the error message. Today I tried changing an element of the web page, Tried publishing, and got the usual error message, but when I checked the web page, the change was successfully made. Now I don't know why I'm getting an error message.

  • My line in sound doesn't seem to work, what's wrong with it?

I've tried plugging in several mircophones with 1/8" jacks ( I think that is the small standard headphone ones.) The thing is none of these work. The problem is they all say they work with mac. I need to get one of these to work. I've  gone to the system prefs and go to the sound settings and I don't get any farther in my mission to get this to work. Please and thank you to the help I get.

    Hi
First up when you go into Speech you are using the built-in microphone which has sufficient 'gain' in the circuit in order to work.
When you plug an external microphone into your PB you are actually plugging a microphone into a 'line input' that is an input designed to accept signals at 'line' level not microphone level. So you either need to get yourself a microphone amp to boost the signal before the input to the PB or a 'line' level microphone. Same thing really except the amp is included in the microphone.
    Hope that helps.
    Phil
