"There was an error attaching fetch UID ^[Gmail]^^Drafts ..."

Went to Drafts and clicked the Edit button at the top of an email. Clicked Send, and got this Send Message Error dialogue box:
"Sending of message failed.
There was an error attaching fetch>UID>^[Gmail]^^Drafts>22573. Please check if you have access to the file."
Clicked OK, the only option. New dialogue box, Save Draft Error:
"Unable to save your message as draft.
There was an error attaching fetch>UID>^[Gmail]^^Drafts>22573. Please check if you have access to the file."
Clicked OK, the only option. Clicked Send again - Send Message Error dialogue box again.
There was an image in the email, in the message from the other party.
Just in case it's related, I've recently had other problems - see https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1024916.

  • There was an error opening document.  Access denied. Cant open pdf attached to emails

I just upgraded to Acrobat Reader x and can't open files attached to emails in Outlook 2010.   If I save the file, I can open it.   I assume it has something to do with protected view or such but can't find where to change settings.   I can open .doc and .xlsx files attached to emails so it seems to be only an issue with .pdf files attached to emails in Outlook.   Suggestions?

To make things simple for you, here are two ways for you fix the problem:
    A. Fix One PC
    Launch Adobe Acrobat Reader X
    Go to: Edit > Preferences...
Click on "General" in the left pane.
Uncheck "Enable Protected Mode at startup"
You will prompted with a dialog box to remind you to close the application for the change to go into effect. Click Yes.
Click OK to save your change.
    Exit Adobe Reader
    B. Fix Several PCs in Your Organization
Following the above steps aren't practical if you have Adobe Acrobat installed on 1,000+ computers in 30 regional offices! Push this registry setting using your standard software deployment software.
    [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Adobe\Acrobat Reader\10.0\Privileged]
    "bProtectedMode"=dword:00000000
Microsoft Outlook and other email clients
I hear this will also fix the "There was an error opening this document. Access denied." error that is occurring with any email client, including Microsoft Outlook Express; Microsoft Outlook 2010, 2007, 2003; Eudora; Mozilla Thunderbird.

  • There was an error opening this document.  The file is damaged and could not be repaired.

    Good Day all
When busy doing internet banking on www.absa.co.za and I try to print a confirmation, I get the following error message: "C:\Documents and Settings\%user profile%\Local Settings\Temporary Internet Files\Content.IE5\%folder name%\%file name%.pdf
    Could not open file.
    File not found."
I've managed to locate the actual file that it's looking for, but when I try and open the file using either Adobe or Foxit Reader, I get the following error message: "There was an error opening this document. The file is damaged and could not be repaired."
I've un-installed Adobe and installed version 9.1 for this particular user. This happened a while ago and then an un-installation and re-installation of Adobe solved the issue. This time, unfortunately, it didn't. I then un-installed Adobe and tried again, UNSUCCESSFULLY. So I loaded Foxit Reader, also without any success.
If there's anyone out there who could possibly help, please do so... It's extremely urgent.
Please find the errors attached as well.
    Regards,
    ME

I contacted the company and they asked me to try using another browser, which I did... and using FireFox worked

I get the same message when I try to open a pdf attachment in my free AOL e-mail account. This problem just started today for some unknown reason. I have Adobe Reader 9 and never had a problem before. If I forward e-mails with a pdf attachment to my Road Runner account, I can open it with no problem. I can't seem to find any answers to this problem. Frustrating! HELP!!!

  • There was an error processing a page. a number is out of range.

When I open a PDF generated from a classic ASP application, some particular documents fail when accessing a page: there was an error processing a page. a number is out of range.
This only happens in Adobe Reader 10 and 11.
The ASP page has a code similar to this:
    Response.AddHeader "Content-disposition", "attachment; filename = doc.pdf"
    Response.ContentType = "application / pdf"
    Response.Write Session ("PDF")
Try adding different settings in the properties AddHeader / ContentType / CharSet etc, but always the same.
In the screenshot you can see the mistake in page 3
    Any idea?
    thank you very much

Sounds like the pdf is corrupt. Try a forced quit. (command option escape)

What is the best way to copy aperture library on to external hard drive? I am getting a message that say's "There was an error opening the database. The library could not be opened because the file system of the library's volume is unsupported". What does that mean? I am trying to drag libraries (with metadata) to external HD...wondering what the best way to do that is?

    How is the drive attached?
Can you open large files on the drive with other programs?
Are you running any drive compression or acceleration programs (some drives arrive with these installed)?
Can you reformat the drive and try again?
    Hi Kirby,
I attached the UltraMax Plus with a USB cable. The UltraMax powers the cable so power is not an issue. I can open other files. Also, there is 500GB of files on the drive so I cannot re-format it. Although, I noted I could import the entire Aperture Library. However, I do not want to create a duplicate on my machine because that would be defeating the purpose of the external drive.

  • There was an error opening this document. The file is damaged and could not be repaired. Error mess

Hello, I am hoping someone can help me. I have an invoicing program that allows me to send an invoice as a PDF to a customer in an email. It always worked fine but for some reason anyone that gets the PDF email attachment gets the message " There was an error opening this document. The file is damaged and could not be repaired". I don't know why this is suddenly happening. I downloaded the latest Adobe Reader 10.1 and that didn't help. I also downloaded the trial version of Adobe Acrobat X and that doesn't help either. I can open all PDFs on my drive but for some reason my program seems to have a problem converting or writing the invoice file to a PDF. Anybody able to help? Thank you very much!

    Hi Bill,
Thanks for your response, I'll try and answer your questions as best a possible. I am not printing to anything, just emailing and I'm not sure what you mean by "the adobe PDF printer". I originally could not find for sure what acrobat I was using although there is a file in my C drive with acrobat 5.0. When I tried downloading an update I found for that version, it told me it couldnt download the update because the original is not there. I then downloaded the new trial version of acrobat X in the hopes that may work, but it did not change the issue. I believe my invoicing program uses some internal PDF program inbeded in the invoicing program for the emailing option it provides. I did send the email to myself and it is the same as I send to anyone else, it has that error message. The others in my office can open the invoicing program and email the PDF perfectly fine to themselves and to me, it's only when my computer tries to send the invoice through email that we have the problem. I can view the file (invoice) perfectly fine. I do not not how to check this encoding you are referring to. Do these details help you, to help me?? Thank you again for your help.

  • In AOL email, checking individual messages in the regular system results in this error message: There was an error loading the message. Please try again later.

In accessing AOL email through the full version, I can navigate within my account (old mail, new mail, spam, etc.) fine, but when I try to open an individual email, I get this error message: "There was an error loading the message. Please try again later."
This is identical to a problem someone else was describing in another thread....unfortunately, nothing you suggested to him seemed to be working. I WAS tricked into opening a file attached to an email immediately before this started, so I think its a virus or something. ANYWAY....I AM able to open the messages when I use AOL's basic version. Initially, the problem seemed only to be in Firefox, but I've tried with Internet Explorer now also, and its the same thing, and the basic version is accessible while the full version is still blocked.
On both browsers, following the error message, I can't even click on the individual messages to TRY to open a different one, and there are some not-quite-right boxes and x's and things that appear on the screen that don't belong.
PLEASE tell me you can't make this go away....I've already tried uninstalling and reinstalling Firefox....that didn't work. I've also fun McAffee, and that didn't change anything.

  • Fixing :there was an error sending mail"

I am using Adobe Reader 9 and Acrobat 8 Pro on a Lenovo, Windows 7, 64bit machine. When I right-click pdf files from my directories, and select "send", the file attaches itself to a new e-mail (from Outlook) and I can send - no issues. However, if I am viewing an open pdf and I select the e-mail or send icon from the toolbar, I get an error message (first box just says "error", then second box says "there was an error sending mail". I have Googled this issue and, in turn checked my Windows settings for Outlook, etc. I see no issues. I have run Adobe updates - still doesn't work. Any ideas?

Cant figure out what in the world is wrong. Thanks for any suggestions. (Did try removing and reinstalling the program) The version of reader is 11.0.03.

Thank you Catherine & MrToaster - Yes - I've just updated to my new credit card. All the details were correct, inc authorisation code but App Store kept prompting me to update iMovie then, not allowing me to (There was an error in the App Store. Please try again later. (20)).
Your advice worked - I logged out and in again.
The problem is that I'll definitely have forgotten your tip when my card next expires!

The optical drive has probably failed. It's a fairly common thing with these slim SuperDrives. Does it read any discs you put into it? You can try resetting the SMC and pram but I'll be surprised if it helps.
    To reset the SMC
    Shut down the computer.
    Unplug the computer's power cord.
    Wait fifteen seconds.
    Attach the computer's power cord.
Wait five seconds, then press the power button to turn on
    Resetting PRAM and NVRAM
    Shut down the computer.
Locate the following keys on the keyboard: Command, Option, P, and R. You will need to hold these keys down simultaneously in step 4.
    Turn on the computer.
Press and hold the Command-Option-P-R keys. You must press this key combination before the gray screen appears.
Hold the keys down until the computer restarts and you hear the startup sound for the second time.
    Release the keys.

I have exactly the same problem. The interesting thing is that the file opens when I attach it to an email and open it out of the email. I already saw the advice you provided in  similar post from Aug last year and checked the security settings of the file and the folder. But according to that I have all rights.
