Third party address validation in ESS pages using workflows

Can anyone help out in giving some ideas for solutioning the following.
Address entered in the page "Main Address: Enter New Address" of
Employee Self Service needs to be validated using third party PL/SQL API. This PL/SQL API is available in the same schema where HRMS objects are available. After the validating the address, user can be shown recommended or invalid address message when address entered is not valid. User can accept the recommended address or reject it in which case the original user entered address would be saved.
ESS pages are using workflows. What is the best design to call the third party address validation from the workflow and show the page with recommended address/invalid address message with "Accept" and "Reject" options. Can anyone help out on what are the technical possibilities to implement this address validation in the ESS page?.

After the validation, user is shown a page with "Ok" and "Cancel" options ( please note as said earlier we are not going with "Accept" or "Reject") along with recommended address if the address needs to be corrected. If user clicks "Ok", user will be in the Address update page and can edit the address with the recommded address. If user clicks "Cancel", control goes to next page by saving the address what ever is entered intially.
After passing through the validation logic in the work flow process and based on the result returned, can a OAF page be invoked which can show recommended address with OK and Cancel buttons?

I have Mac Pro 2007, which have no bluetooth hardware. What should I do to use Apple wireless keyboard and magic mouse??? Can 'third party's internal bluetooth card' be used for this purpose? Help me please...

You can find the Apple Bluetooth card on eBay for as little ten dollars (says its for the 2008 model Mac Pro, not sure about the 2007).

Here is a link to a full explanation of the card and how to install it. Part numbers may differ a bit as that is an old article and newer models have come out.

Just make sure that the part will work in your model Mac Pro. To that end, you may be better off avoiding eBay and going to a parts reseller. There are even third party cards that use the internal Apple bluetooth slot.

In theory, using a USB or PCI card will work at login so long as it is recognized by Apples drivers. You say you need to launch an application to use your current USB Bluetooth dongle? If it is not controlled by the Bluetooth icon in the menu bar then it must be using a third party driver of some sort. Unfortunately, I don't know off hand which USB and PCI cards are supported.

In the Message Editor, create 1 new message of type error "Entry of a valid is required for proceeding."

    IWDMessageManager messageMgr =
    this.wdThis.wdGetAPI().getComponent().getMessageManager();

Is there a "third party" gps transmitter  that i could use with iphone to locate my bike?

Interesting.  Would I have to jailbreak my phone or both in order to help out my Dad?
What features in the Jailbreak would allow me to perform the remote support like LogMeIn?

  • Oracle iStore Address validation on Profile pages

    Hello Gurus,
I need to validate city, state and postal code address validation on address edit screen of "COMPANY PROFILE -> Contact Information" page.
However, we do not have following tables populated:
    ar_location_values
    ar_location_rates
as we are not using or having any taxes.
Therefore, my attempt to turn on the profile option:
System Options -> Tax, setting the Address Validation to 'Error'
    or
    addressBean.verifyAddress(forceValidation, RequestCtx.getOperatingUnit()) or FlexibleAddress.validate..
always returns the validation error (even if the address including county is correct) as there are no matches from table.
Can anyone please let me know, if there is any other way to get the address validations in place.
    Thanks,
    PV

  • Payroll Data from Third party System & Payslip in ESS

  • New update adds third-party remote support. I could use mine already!

    I am a little confused.
    Appletell states-
"The update also allows users to use third party remotes with their Apple TV, which has been a long standing request from many users"
This is saying, to me, that you can use a third-party remote to control TV functions.
If that's the case, I have been doing that ever since I got it, using my universal remote for all my tv-connected devices including my TV (I got it to learn the Apple remotes signals). Could someone please elaborate on this?

It's not really for universal remotes - which normally come with a database of codes to use with a wide variety of devices. It's for the remotes that can normally control another device - for example:
My Samsung TV remote has the ability to control a Samsung DVD player. Although i haven't got the DVD player, the buttons are on the remote anyway (Play, Pause, Fast Forward, etc).
I can now map those buttons the the ATV - in fact i gave it a go and it worked fine. However, i've put that back in the cupboard as i have a universal remote like you thats been doing it for ages.
    Cheers

  • Mac Hacked, wanting to buy third party virus scan but afraid to use my credit card

My Mac 10.6.8 was hacked last night. All administrative passwords were changed essentially locking me out of my own computer. My personal AOL email was also attacked and the passwords changed. After a very helpful Apple employee helped me reset all my passwords, I went shopping for a good, relyable third party virus scan and/or remover. But now the quandry is: how do I buy a product to get rid of the problem using a credit card when the virus is still in my computer.
    I am at a loss.

and do you know if this is a new attack. have there been other cases?
People have come here with serious hacks on their Mac's, it happens but not that often.
So far there isn't a widespread issue like from malware, it might have been a isolated incident on your part.
Run the Sophos and it if finds anything good, but malware can make anti-virus lie. So a complete flush is still in order.
Anti-virus won't catch a hacker. To prevent hackers you need a intrusion detection system and there hasn't been a easy to use one for Mac's in ages.
i'm a bit scared about my personal info.
Don't put or do anything with computers or technology that your not willing to share with the world.
Apple, Google and Microsoft all have been successfully hacked. Nobody is perfect.
i've been checking activity moniter... is there anything i should be looking for.
If they are in EFI, no.
Acitiviy monitor only shows what is going on in OS X, not in EFI or firmware.
If you want to check OS X out. Then open Terminal and paste/press return and upload the file on your desktop/home folder to this website, they will check for known malware.
    http://triviaware.com/macprocess/
if i shut off my internet are they still capable of screwing me?
Yes of course, they can leave a timer and destroy your data or encrypt it etc.,
Being cut off the Internet doesn't stop them, just they lose contact, can't use your machine like a bot.
    http://news.cnet.com/8301-1009_3-57409619-83/more-than-600000-macs-infected-with -flashback-botnet/
can this result in identity theft? should i proactively call the police?
You should file a report, with them, beause if someone does something in your name it's a matter of record you reported a intrusion into your computer.
You also should talk to your bank, freeze any credit cards you have used on the machine, any information that they can use to gain access to your accounts.
If they go into your machine and emails, they go for the money and whatever they can charge on you also.
This is why I say call in a professional, I'm not here 24/7 to assist and just lucky I saw your post.

  • Problems validating GL CS pages using W3C HTML Validator

I've tried validating a number of pages and they come up with approx. 30 errors and I think all of them are coming from the disjointed rollovers in the navigation. How do I get the page/pages to validate. Any help would be great.

  • Transfer of data from a third party application to SAP R/3 using PI

    Hi experts,
I have a scenario where am supposed to transfer data from an application already developed to SAP R/3
Just wanted to confirm if the following approach is right
    SOAP>PI>SAP R/3
we would have an RFC defined on SAP. this would be exposed as web service on PI which means i define the outbound interface to be exposed to as web service. Source system calls up the webservice.
    Issues
    1. Authentication mechanism to be used
    2. type of adapter to be used between source system and PI. Assume either of SOAP or WS adapters would work
    Valuable inputs are appreciated
    Regards,
    Kalyan

    1. Authentication mechanism to be used
Check this help section to know about the authentication mechanism:
    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw70/helpdata/en/fc/5ad93f130f9215e10000000a155106/content.htm
Check the Inbound Security Checks and the Security Parameters section.
    2. type of adapter to be used between source system and PI. Assume either of SOAP or WS adapters would work
SOAP adapter should suffice...WS may not be needed.
    Regards,
    Abhishek.

  • Third party reporting tools that can be used with WLI 8.1

    All:
I am working on Weblogic Integration 8.1. I am wondering are there any ready tools that can be used with WebLogic Integration process related tables to get different types of reports out of it.
Can somebody point me to these tools??
    TIA,

Are you using ADE to read bought books, library books, or only free books?
If only free books, I suggest you install the superior free Calibre instead (http://calibre-ebook.com/)
For bought or library books you do need to install ADE on the new machine.
You will also need to register it with your Adobe ID; the same one you used on the last machine.
If you can't remember that ID or the password, ask, and we may be able to help.
I will give instructions for the latest version of ADE (2.0.1), even though I am afraid it has more problems than the old one it is more 'standard'.
    Goto http://www.adobe.com/uk/products/digital-editions/download.html
Click on the 'Download Digital Edition 2.0.1 Windows (5.6 MB)'  (you can go direct to http://download.adobe.com/pub/adobe/digitaleditions/ADE_2.0_Installer.exe if you prefer)
When it has downloaded you must open/run it.  If you are using Internet Explorer, choose the Run option when you start the download.
It should now go through a fairly standard install procedure, asking if it is ok to run the program, etc etc
Take the easy 'yes' or equivalent option at each step.
When it is safely installed, run it.  It should have put an icon on the desktop.
You now need to authorize ADE.
Use ctrl-shift-U which will open up a dialog asking for your Adobe ID and password.
You should now be able to use it pretty much as you used ADE on your old machine.
Good luck.  Unfortunately not a very easy process even when all works well, and there are several things that can go wrong.
Don't hesitate to ask again if you need help.

  • How to call third party validation service from self service page

Anyone can help me out on what needs to be done to call third party address validation service when button "Next" Personal Information page of Employee Self Service is clicked.
    1. Writing Custom XXXAddressUpdateCO by extending AddressUpdateCO. XXXAddressUpdateCO's processFormRequest will validate the address using the third part service. This third party address validation service is in the DB where Oracle Apps is there.
To use this service from the controller, how can I set the new application module XXXAdressUpdateAMImpl where I will make call to this service and return the result yo Custom controller class.
    Any suggestions?

If your page does not have LOVs, then you can extend and substitute the AM. Thereafter include the code to invoke the third party validation from the AM.
Otherwise you may need to write the invoking code in the Controller itself.
Hope you got some clues. Let me know if you need more information.
    Thanks
    Sumit

  • Calling third party java page from Oracle form

    Hi,
Is it possible to call a third party java (html+java) form page (residing in separate web service server) which would take input from standard Oracle form (OCO) page?
The third party page would validate the fields sent by form page and then will provide the results which should be copied back into standard oracle OCO form page.
    Regards,
    Aneesh

Don't know if you can do this from Forms PL/SQL, but you should be able to write a stored procedure in the database that does it for you. The stored procedure could use the database package UTL_HTTP to make the HTTP request and receive the response.
Your custom stored procedure can be called from Forms PL/SQL. If you are caling to a tru web service, you can also look at the UTL_DBWS package which is a bit more high level for calling a web service, than the raw UTL_HTTP package.

  • Publishing Third Party Generated Pages with iWeb to .Mac

I'm considering using KavaTunes to publish my iTunes library. Looks like a great app. But, I'm a little confused. I'm using iWeb to publish my site to .Mac now. How do I use KavaTunes with iWeb. I can use iWeb to publish to a folder. But, Apple doesn't give instructions for how to publish out to an iWeb created site on .Mac using FTP.
I find this to be an issue with any third party app that generates web pages with images, etc. How do I get those loaded up to my .Mac site generated with iWeb?
    Thanks,
    Brian

    dotMac doesn't use FTP.
You create your 3rd party pages and copy them to iDisk>Web>Sites folder.
Put them in a folder of their own. In iWeb create a link to these pages.
KavaTunes no doubt has a Help file that tells you how to publish pages. Start learning to use the program and stay away from iWeb for a while. No need to double the problems.
BTW, you need PHP on the server side. dotMac has no PHP.
