Third Party Attendance System Integration with Oracle Payroll

Hi,
How to integrate Third Party Attendance System like Bio-Metric System with Oracle Payroll. Please help me in this regard.
Thanks in Advance,

user644268,
Depends on your exact requirements whether this attendance system is for the absense capture or work time logging. You need to be specific when putting up a scenario.

I need any guidance on integration Of third Party ticketing tools like OVSD with the SAP Solution Manager Service Desk Scenario.
    Regards,
    Kaustubh.

    Hi Maheshwar,
What I am trying to do is, try to maintain the data like,,
    Caller ID-- sender
    Assignment of workgroup--
    Search Code--
    Priority--
    and description--
now some of these are constants that we need not determine every time.
but my question is, can we maintain these as a set of parameters in the method definitionunder parameters tabjust similar to MAIL_HEADER...which is displayed in the mail alert.
we already have a scenario maintained in the HPSD where it reads the mail picks up specific content based on key words, and creates a ticket.
and If we can maintain these by modifying the method, then where can we maintain the multiple data/options for this
And also please send me what were the steps u have done.
U used a Z method or customized the Function module??
Bcz in my case I think I will have to do both..
    Regards,
    Kaustubh.

  • Third Party Recruitment Software integration with SAP HR

    Dear Experts ,
Iam given a scenario where in the client wants the Erecruitment software Taleo to be integrated with  SAP HCM.The HR recruiters/Managers are currently hiring them into the taleo software and from there the data need to be pushed to the SAP employees's infotypes.
In Addition to this the benefits infotype need to be maintained automatically in the system. Is there any way to automatically default the benefit infotype also
Kindly suggest a solution for this.
    Regards
    Gopa

You will need interface(s) between Taleo and SAP....If Taleo is your recruiting system...then they may want...
Outbound from SAP: Interface that sends them vacant position data from SAP (you need this so that when Taleo sends you finally an employee data after hiring they can send you the position data with it).
Outbound from SAP: You may also need to send them terminations from SAP (optional - may be needed depending on your company process for handling rehires)
Inbound to SAP: This is the main file from Taleo after offer is accepted and employee is hired in Taleo. At this time Taleo will send you a file for which you can write an interface to hire these employees into SAP. You can do a BDC session with PA40 - you may have to determine if its a hire or rehire here. If you are processing payroll then its important to make sure you have all the payroll related info types (if they are not coming from Taleo then you should at least have them defaulted to what your client agrees).
The second part to your question
Creating benefits depends on how you are getting or determining benefits data.
    1. Benefits configuration has something called automatic/default plans...
    >>> "Automatic" plans are something employee is enrolled into and has no option to change them.
    >>> "Default" plans are something employee is enrolled into on new hire and typically has 30 days to make changes...this is standard configuration for each plan and should be completed.
If it is controlled via benefits config then you just need to go through hire action...and typically as part of that hire action - IT0378/IT0171 will prompt you to go to benefits enrollment screen and enroll employee...into these automatic/default plans...plans will be pre-selected based on configuration. So all you do here is hit save and continue with rest of hire action. All this is recordable via BDC session.
    2. If it is NOT controlled via configuration...and you are getting benefit plan details in the file then you just create them in the corresponding info types...IT0167/0168 etc. For processing sanity I would separate hire and benefits creation as two step process if all the data is coming via files...
    Happy interfacing...

  • Third party tool interface integration with SAP

Hi guys - here's an interesting one:
I want to integrate a third party tool with SAP.  The interfaces would be required to communicate both ways - sending data out and receiving data and populating relevant tables / transactions.  I, so far see a number of methods available to me that would be suitable and feasible:
<b>  - File based exchange of data
      - iDocs (custom or standard)
      - BAPIs (custom or standard)</b>
      - XI (but this method would not be feasible and would thus not consider it)
In all the cases above (apart from XI), I guess I would require a program that would call the BAPIs or distribute iDoc data or extract and populate file based data.  I have so far compiled a list of various advantages and disadvantages and just wanted to probe your expert minds.
<b>Please list the advantages and disadvantages of each method, providing a reasonable discussion as to why you think this is the case.  If you think any other method would be suitable, please list this too.</b>
The person with the most accurate and detailed answer will receive all the points.
    Thanks
    Mantas

    Hi Mantas,
The Pros and Cons in this case depends on the third party tool which you want to intergrate with SAP.
File Based Exchange of data: How conveniently can you push the data from the third party tool into a file.
IDocs: The third party tool should understand the syntax and symantics of the IDoc.
BAPIs: How do you plan to call the BAPI from the third party tool.
From just the SAP point of view.
Here are the advantages and disadvantages:
    1. File Based Exchange of data:This method is good if you can easily pass a file which can be uploaded into sap and the data can be stored in the sap tables.
    2.IDocs:
    Advantages:
If you have an existing IDoc that can do the data transfer then this would be the simplest method as only the settings are needed. No program is required to call this IDoc the settings automatically take care of this.
    Disadvantages:
If a custom IDoc needs to be developed then creation of a BAPI would be a better option.
    3.BAPIs:
    Advantages:
It is simpler to develop a BAPI than a custom IDoc which involves creation of segments, function modules etc.
    Disadvantages:
There should be an active online connection.
Some programming will be needed to call the BAPI.

    Hi,

Can anyone guide me to achieve this.

    Hello Prasad,
<b>Connection with an External Payroll System</b>
Payroll Outsourcing functionality allows you to compile master data or payroll data in the SAP system to submit to a third-party service provider in an electronic format. The Outsourcing solution available in the United States and Canada provides a generic interface which writes data into an IDoc (Intermediate Document) for transport to a third-party system. In order to transport data into and out of the SAP system, you must set up a logical system, partner definition, and outsourcing ports.
If you have built your own payroll interface, using the Interface Toolbox, for example, you can use the Import section of this scenario. The Export section applies only to the transport of IDocs.
For more information regarding outsourcing, refer to the SAP Library, Human Resources  -> PY Payroll  -> PY-US United States Payroll or PY-CA Canada Payroll  -> Outsourcing.

  • SAP Inventory management interface with Third party Warehouse System

    Hi Experts,
Need your input for designing the SAP solution with existing Third party warehouse system ( Exacta ):-
SAP ERP will be implemented for all locations of Client ( SAP MM, FI, PS , HR etc ).The Client has 10 distribution centres which are on Exacta Warehouse systems and will be linked with SAP Inventory management system.
The way it will work - Goods receipt will always happen in SAP for all locations and then interface needs to Trigger subsequent Putaway activities at Exacta Ware house ( third party warehouse system) for those 10 locations.
Goods Issue for these locations will happen from Exacta and then update will be posted in SAP via interface.
All locations will be created as Plant /Storage locations in SAP.
Need your inputs what special configurations need to happen in SAP for those locations so that goods receipt in SAP can trigger putaway activities in Exacta system .
Do we need to do configuration for decentralised Warehouse in SAP for handling this?
Pl. give your inputs based on your past experience where you handled such scenarios via interface with SAP Inventory management and legacy warehouse systems.
Thanks for quick response on this.
    Regards,
    Krish

    Krish
This is a std business process where clients have used their existing warehousing systems but implemented SAP forother functions such as Order entry, inventory mgmt and procurement, financials.
The typical interface that needs to happen is
    1. Sales order ( and or delivery)
    2. Invetory needs to be passed to the WH. Typically people send it when SAP GR takes place.
    3. When WH system does picking, it sends signal to SAP which then does PGI for the sales order delivery and that takes the stock out of the system.
Material master has to be transferred or mapped between two systems. Also, other elements need to be mapped between two systems.
The way I have seen this happening is :
you have an output on the SAP GR process. That creates an idoc to the WH system. Based on the capabilities of the WH system, it then does appropriate actions in the system.
Many times, middlewares are used to translate/ map the data between SAP and the WH systems.
So system wise, there is ALE setup that needs to take place for IDOC creations.
Configuration and coding is required for the output type and the program behind it. There are several std FUnction Modules that can be used for this.
    Hope this helps.

  • Direct CTI Integration with Oracle Contact Center Form

    Hi,
We are on 11.5.10.2 and we are trying to implement the "Direct CTI Integration" solution that Oracle suggested to enable Screen Pop in contact center form based on data coming from a third party CTI. In our case we are using Genesys TServers for CTI.
In this document (The equivalent R12 document is on metalink titled DIRECT CTI Integration - Oracle EBS Contact Center & Third Party CTI [ID 734902.1]), Oracle solution involves little to no coding from the Oracle Apps side other than a few profile setups. We are not able to get started on this because we did not find some of the profile options. And the forms did not have the changes that Oracle said it should have. Obviously, we need to apply some patches but not sure which one.
I am wondering if there are any users and customer who have implemented a similar solution that can help us get started.
    Thanks.
    Regards,
    Venkat

It has been a while since we did a test of the Direct CTI integration at my company. We are on a 12 release so the patches are included, unfortunately I can't help there.
Word from the Wise: Be Prepared....
The only development on the Oracle side that was necessary was the configuration of the profile settings. You select a port in the settings which will then instantiate an http listener on the user's thin client.
The development on the CTI side is intensive....you must code an http listener on your client CTI to enable two way communication between the Oracle thin client and your 3rd party CTI client (most likely residing on the desktop of the user PC, in my case, Cisco CTIOS).
Unless Oracle has since changed their model, you cannot just send a blind screen pop to the Oracle client due to the required 2 way communication. There are a lot of request/response's involved (registers, readys, etc). While it is absolutely necessary for an HTTP listener to exist on the Oracle side, I believe that it is unnecessary to have the level of communication required from the 3rd party CTI. The CTI needs the call control, I just don't believe that Oracle needs to know about it.
If I have incorrectly interpreted or understood the model/options, I hope someone can correct me.
    Thanks,
    Derek

  • Third Party Tax System and SAP-ISU FICA

    Hello Experts,
We are implementing SAP solution for north american utility company. We are using SABRIX to calculate FI / SD invoice taxes. We want to use SABRIX for CR&B(ISU) invoices also. I know about below configuration:
SPRO > Financial Accounting (New) > Financial Accounting Global Settings (New) > Tax on Sales/Purchases > Basic Settings > External Tax Calculation > Activate External Tax Calculation
I checked few other config documents and found RFC function module "RFC_CALCULATE_TAXES_DOC" . According to config document if I execute this function module with RFC Target sys = "SABRIX" & with required parameters then system (FM) will return me tax amount (by calling SABRIX). Now, this function module doesn't contain CR&B document specific parameters such "contract account (FKKVKP-VKONT)" but this function module is very specific to FI / SD document that's why it has parameters ex. "ACCNT_NO - Vendor or ship-to customer account number".
So my first question is - 1) Do we have separate RFC to calculate taxes for CR&B FICA document? Which RFC gets triggered during ISU Invoicing?
    2) If there is no separate RFC to differentiate between CR&B document and normal FI/SD document then can we use RFC already provided by SAP? do we need to create our custom RFC?
    3) I need to assign tax jurisdiction code on the connection object without any manual intervention using address details. But I am not able to find standard config that can call SABRIX RFC during connection object creation to update Jurisdiction Code details.
Example - for the business partner I can pass address details to fetch jurisdiction code from the SABRIX using below config:
SPRO > Cross-Application Components > SAP Business Partner > Business Partner > Basic Settings > Tax Jurisdictions > Using Non-SAP Tax Software > Define RFC Destination for Tax Software
So is there any other standard way to update jurisdiction code on the connection object?
Any information would be of great help. Thanks.

  • Enterprise portal integration with Oracle forms

    Hi
Can anyone help me on this .
"Enterprise portal integration with Oracle forms".
I want to integrate oracle forms to EP .I am trying to work with app Integrator but I am not able to make any headway.Do you have any documents pertaining to this or any place where I can look for details.
    Thanks
    Alok

    Hi,
i'm not aware of special integration feature with Oracle forms, but if as you said we are talking about a web application available via url then i see no problem doing so. the way you can implement the SSO is using something called Application Integrator which helps you build smart URL iView's that can use the portal framework (like systems, user profile , etc) , so you can build your oracle forms integration iView that will take the user password data from the portal (via system) using user mapping or sap logon tickets.
for more details on Application Integrator see
    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/70/5a3842134bad04e10000000a1550b0/frameset.htm
regarding to the java applet, i don't really know what you mean by "jinitiator" but if your regular browser can do it then i see no reason for problems.
    i hope it helps
