Time Variance in Order
Hi Experts,
In the time ticket confirmation screen for process orders only the start and finish times for the phase can be captured. If there is a difference between the actual time taken and the basic scheduled time (as per recipeu2019s standard values) and if there are 3 main causes of delay, say, machine problem, operatoru2019s lapse and material problem, then is there any way to distribute the delay in each phase (or the delay in the total order) to these 3 causes ?
Regards,
Sunit
Dear Sunit,
if i understood ur Query correctly, u are looking for Reason for Variance
1) if this what ur lokking for than, do the settings in OPK1
2) so that ur Variance Key will be availble in Confirmation screen
3) Press F4, in the field Reason for Variance
4) You can get options like Reason, machine Malfunction , Operator error etc ....

Batch number coming automatically at the time of Process order release
Hi All,
I want the system generated batch number for header material to come automatically at the time of process order release.
At present ,the batch number is entered manualy dering process order creation.
Can anyone pls guide abt the settings required for the sameDear,
Define the production scheduling profile CORY then
Auto Batch Creation = 2 On release.
Then assign this to your FG or SFG materials in work scheduling view in material msater MM02. Then create new order and check.
Now for automatic generation i have to set internal number asignment for batches.
Batch will create for movement type say 101 SPROLogistics - GeneralBatch mangment--Creation of New Batches --Define Batch Creation for Goods Movements. so it will have same logic in MM for 101 GR against PO will be internal number range but no effect in SD.

Selection Of BOM & Routing at the time of production order creation
Hi guys,
Please clarify how i can go about for the following mentioned scenario
I have one Master BOM(Finished Product Level) & alternative BOMs for that, similarly i have one Master Routing & alternate routings for the same finished product
At the time of production order creation is it possible for me to choose one of the BOMs & One of the routings of that particular finished product without creating a production version?
Awaiting for a quick response
VijaiHi vijai prasad shanmugam ,
In the material master MRP-4 view under the BOM selection you can maintain on what fatcors you want the BOM to be selected Viz. Selection by order quant.,Selection by explosion date.Selection by production version etc.
As far as the master recipe is concerned ........ I guess that if there are more than one valid master recipe maintained then SAP will prompt to select the one manually.........
But it the standard practice to maintain the production version ....... for the similar situation to the one that you have mentioned.
Please Let me know if I can help you in any way regarding this........
Please reward the points......... in you find the ans helpful.....
Thanks

Spliting up the G/L account in time of Sales Order creation .
Hi,
I am an ABAPer. Please let me know using ABAP code how to split the G/L account in time of Sales Order creation for a Payment Card.
Shyamal.Hiya,
Don't have the system before me, but I think the approx path is:
IMG --> Controlling --> Profitability Analysis --> Master Data --> Valuation --> Define and Assign Val Strategies (I think it is KE4U).
Look up the Val Strategy assignments and look for anything with Record Type "A".
Secondly, look for:
IMG --> controlling --> Profitability Analysis --> Actual Postings --> Active transfer of Sales Order Data
Under here, look for any assignments of Condition Types to Value Fields and Quantity Fields to COPA Value Fields (Qty.)
If these are present, they must have been put there on purpose. You should NOT JUST GO AHEAD AND DELETE them. Check why these are there and then check why these are flowing into your COPA report.
Normally COPA reports are defined by Record Type. If you used Record Type "F" in your reports, you should always get the proper PL report. However, if you assigned a combination of "F" and "A", you will find that your Order data is flowing into COPA along with the Billing data. So the third check point should be your report definition. Call up the form for the report you are running using transaction KE35 (Change Mode). Check the definition of the Sales quantity, etc. and look for any flows with Record Type "A". Since the form may be used by others, it is not a good idea to delete a form as it is. Copy the form into another and change the new one. Delete the "A" assignments and see if you get the correct result.
Broadly these are the areas you need to check. But COPA is vast and there could be other areas as well (e.g., KEDR Derivations, or some custom programs (SMOD)) which can trigger flows to COPA Value Fields.

Is the time column in VA05 the time the sales order created?
i have added a time column in VA05. May i know whether it is the time the sales order is created? How do i know if it it the created time? Need to know the sales order created time, for example at 7:00. Thank you
Hi
Yes this is the order creation date. You can cross check by seeing the time by checking the entry in table (VBAK-EZERT) by passing the VBAK-VBELN as the order number.
Thanks

Time series and Order series questions
Hi Guys - Need some help in understanding/Visualizing some basic APO concepts. I do not want to move further without understanding these concepts completely. I did read sap help and couple of apo books but none gave me a complete understanding of this very basic concept.
1. Data is stored in livecache in 3 different ways. time series, order series and atp time series. for now I am concentrating on just time series and order series. Can some one help me understand with an example how data is stored in time series and how it is stored in order series? I read that data which is not order related is called time series data and which is order related is called order series data.
My query is even in DP time series data, data is stored with respect to product and location that is transferred to snp. In SNP too data is processed with respect to product and location. so what is the difference in time series data and order series data?
2. what are time series key figures and what are order series key figures? I read safety stock for example is a time series keyfigure. why is it not a order series key figure? what makes a keyfigure time series or order series? can some one xplain this in detail with an example or numbers?
3. there is a stock category group in snp tab of location master LOC3. Stock category should be product related right? how is this related to location and what does this field mean in location master
Thanks a lot for your help in advance. Please let me know if I am not clear in any of the questions.Hi,
Time series: Data is stored in buckets with no reference to orders.( If you place the mouse on time series data and right click for
display details , you will not find any information.
Suitable for tactical planing and aggregated planning. Usually in demand planning.
Pre requisite: 1. You need to create time series objects for the planning area.
2. When creating planning area you should not make any entries for the Key figure in the field Info Cube, category
and category group.
3. When creating planning area any entry you made in the field Key figure semantics with prefixed with TS.
(Optional entry)
Order series: Data is stored in buckets with reference to orders.( If you place the cursor on the order series data and right click
the mouse for display details , you will find information of order details.)
Useful for operative planning.
*You will have real time integration with R3.
Pre requisite: 1. You need to create time series objects for the planning area.( though you are creating Order series)
2.When creating a planning area specify a category or category group or enter a key figure semantics with prefix
LC.
3. When creating planning area you should not make an entry for the key figure in the field Info cube.
Thanks,

IDOC generation at time to transfer order creation.
What are the config steps involved for idoc generation at the time of transfer order creation?
please advise.
Edited by: avi on Dec 25, 2008 5:31 AMHello,
TO creation with respect to Picking perspective:
Lean WM --> output type WMTA can be used to create TO automatically can be created (you can go to NACE transaction and check the settings of WMTA)
From MM WM perspective i think it is PUTAWAY concept, if Purchase order -->Inbound delivery will be created with ref. to inbound delivery TO (putaway) can be created.
Link for IDoc maintenance:
IMG>LE>WM>Interfaces>external systems-->configure wm
link for Automatic TO creation:
IMG>LE>WM>Interfaces>inventory management-->Activate Automatic TO creation

Setting Time Server Search Order in DSC Run-Time
Hello,
can somebody help me with explanation how can I set the Time Server Search Order in DSC 8.6 Run-Time System? I can set it in development environment, but how can I transfer this to the Run-Time machine?
I want to synchronise a system clock of the machine to another machine acting as the time server, running NI Time Syncronization service.
Is it better to use standard Windows XP sync routines instead of NI ?
Thanks a lot,
rompHi David,
after trying NI approach ( I've got some tips from support, you should edit the Registry ) I found it just don't work well, so I have disable it completely and move to Microsoft mechanisms for clock synchronising. Looks like NI still didn't work this out as it should....it's a shame aince this is very fundamental stuff.

Printing information (date+time) of an order
Hi experts,
Do you know where printing information (date + time) of an order is stored?
Does SAP store also a re-printing information?
Via configuration OIOE, it triggers the printing information in table JCDS , but in case of re-printing, SAP does not seem to store that information.
Any suggestion?
Thanks
P.Hi,
Several suggestions to find the replied date & time:
1. We can find related emails in Outlook, then find the replied date & time from the related emails:
Right click on the message in the list, Select "Find Related" -> "Messages in This Conversation" from the menu that comes up.
2. View tab -> Conversations -> check "Show as conversations", then we can easily find other emails in the conversation, then find the replied date & time.
Anyway, both methods above are manual and based on your request description, I don't think the whole process can be performed with the build-in feature automatically. However, the whole process may be realized via VBA, if you can accept a VBA method, I suggest
you post the detailed request in Outlook for Developers forum:

Batch Determination at the time of Production Order Confirmation
Hi,
I am working with Batch Determination at Item Level.
I already have configured system to generate Batch Automatically at the Time of Production Order Release.
But now i want to generate Batch Automatically at the Time of Production Order Confirmation
Please help me with the necessary Configurations which would be required into achieving the same.
Thanks in advance.
HarrisHi,
I have maintained the same for my Order Type in OPJ2 but still the same is not being picked at the time of Order Confirmation and it is being put to COGI mentioning the error as No batch specified in production order
Also if i try to Manually Select the Batch through in Goods Movt. of CO15 it is giving a msg that No Strategy could be found.
I have done following settings:
1. Have maintained Condn Records in MBC1 for the component whose batch is to be determined.
2. In material master in MRP2 Batch Determination: 2
3. In OPL8: Batch determination search procedure
4. In OPJ2: BD ticked for that relevant Order Type
5. In OPKP: Automatic Batch creation kept as BLANK.
Please support
Thanks

How to speed up the query time after adding order by
Hi,
In Form 6.0 front-end and 8i server, I put an "order by date
column desc" in Block Property and when I hit query button the
screen will bring up the most current date data instead of
oldest date data. The problem is slowing down the query time,
because the "order by" does the resorting work in the user temp
table space. The base table to be queried also contains two
varchar2(1500) columns and that also slow down the query time.
I am wondering if there is any other way to bring the current
records first without slow down the query speed ?
Any thought will be helpful and appreciated.
Thnaks!

What I have done is use hints to force the use of an index in
descending order. The part of the following example that
pertains to your question is the index_desc hint. Syntax and
suggestions for using hints are in the Oracle documentation.
The column you want to order desc by would have to be in an
index. The following example creates a view which you might not
need to do.
create or replace view v_sample_result as
select
/*+
first_rows
index ( sa )
index_desc ( t c_test_altk )
index ( r c_result_pk )
index ( lt )
null
