Timeout Error in AS2 message
Hi,
One of our vendors tried to send an AS2 message to us and mentionined that they had receivied a timeout error at their side. They mentioned, that they are not getting any response while sending the message to us.
We have checked our side and the firewall settings are properly implemented and also there is no trace of their ip addresses in our logs.
But when we checked their logs, it did accept our server but was timed out.
What would be the problem?
The Vendors were pointing at wrong IP addresses.

Connection Timeout error in AS2 communication
Hi Gurus
I am sending an order file to our vendors via Seeburger AS2 adaptor but I am getting the following error:
Unable to forward message to JCA adapter. Reason: Fatal exception: com.sap.aii.af.ra.cci.XIRecoverableException: SEEBURGER AS2: java.net.ConnectException: Connection timed out: connect # , SEEBURGER AS2: java.net.ConnectException: Connection timed out: connect #
I see above error in Communication Channel monitor.
In message monitor of Seeburger I see the below error which suggests the same.
Could not deliver as2 message to partner: java.net.ConnectException: Connection timed out: connect # null
I use HTTP protocol in AS2 adaptor channel
Any help will be very useful.
Thanks in advance.
SunnyHiSunny,
Try to ping the server from your PI and check if the connectivity works fine. Also check if there is any firewall issues.
open the respective data port dynamically, with FTPS, it might be difficult for the firewall to determine this port, because the control connection is already encrypted at the time the data port is negotiated.
Check this :http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nwpi711/helpdata/en/14/ef2940cbf2195de10000000a1550b0/frameset.htm
Thanks & Regards

What doesn't happen is no MDN gets sent back to the partner. It should be a synchronous MDN.

The error is vague enough to provide little or no help in locating the root cause of the issue.
Any assistance in providing information on how to get this working would be greatly appreciated.
We do have dozens of other AS2 partners working in this instance just foe reference. We are just having issues with this new partner setup.
Thank you.

KenKen,
I am observing the Ack Mode is set as "SYNC" . This is selected by default. This option is available in the channel configuration section
If the usecase is not SYNC, please change as ASYNC and test. It should work. -
Why do i keep getting the "internet connection timeout" error message?
i have been upgrading a few standard itunes albums to itunes plus versions through my 3g mobile broadband connection, while not exactly a fast process, it was working fine until i started to get a backlog of 3 or 4 albums which were waiting in a queue to be downloaded, now every time i do the "check for downloads" option i get the "internet connection timed out" error message...this has been going on for 2 days! am i right in suspecting the backlog of albums is too much for my 3g mobile broadband connection? this is really doing my head in, if any of you techies could help me, it'd be much appreciated...?
yes i have recently updated to itunes 8.2.1, but i am starting to think its apple's servers (i tried to download at my brothers house...different computer and connection...same connection timeout error), because it will still let me download an album, but not necessarily all of the tracks. when i questioned itunes customer services about the seemingly hit and miss state of affairs with downloading, they told me to wait 3 weeks before trying to download the tracks that were giving me the grief (2 tracks from an arctic monkeys album)...which kinda indicates they know there is a problem and are trying to fix it, why else would they say wait 3 wks??? they gave me 5 free music tracks too, which is handy.

AS2 Adapter Error: Error while parsing AS2 message: AUTHENTICATION_ERROR #
Hi,
Following Scenario: Inbound.
i have been receiving messages via Seeburger AS2 Adapter with the following Error message
Error while parsing AS2 message: AUTHENTICATION_ERROR #
I have done the following in the AS2 adapter as per findings in the forum
1. Unchecked the Authentication Required Flag.
2. AS2 Certificates are fine.
3. Use Authentication: Disabled (there is no authentication)
even though every thing seems to be fine i am not able to receive messages successfully. Please let me know what could have gone wrong here.Hi Venkatesh,
>> Everything is provided in the Sender Agreement. Partners Certificate, Self Encryption & Signing certificate
How come you are using encryption when you are receiving the message. I think it might be decryption.
1. Anyway please cross check whether you provide the following correct details in Sender agreement.
Sender Configuration
Authentication Certificate : Partner's public certificate.
AS2 Receiver Configuration
Decryption Key : Own private key.
Signing Key : Own private key.
2. Can you please check and tell in the Seeburger Monitoring for the incoming message, whether they are sending the message with encryption and signing? This you can check in the Seeburger Monitoring. -
I set up a playlist in itunes and when I try so sync it to my iphone, I get an error message "itunes could not copy "x" to the iphone "x" because a timeout error occurred. Using itunes 10.5.2.11 and Windows Vista 64. Any help? Thanks in advance!
I have the same question and the only reply I've found on the forum was "change the USB hub", which HASN'T worked. So I am accepting new suggestions. Tks!

Error while parsing AS2 message: DECRYPTION_ERROR in Seeburger Workbench
Dear all,
In our production SAP PI 7.1 server, we are getting the below error in the Seeburger Workbench screen.
Error:
State Error on receive, task will not be retried
"State Description Error while parsing AS2 message: DECRYPTION_ERROR # com.seeburger.ediint.edi.EDIMessageException: message decryption failed: failed to decrypt message: provider BC not found"
Imp points to note are:-
1. This error is not specific to one interface. 3-4 interface messages have this error.
2. And even for a particular interface that has this error, we could see that some messages are getting processed without any issues, and some error out, so we are not in a position to conclude anything.
Because of the above issue, many business critical messages are pending to be processed.
If any one has encountered this before error, pls share your inputs to resolve this or any workarounds to temporarily handle the issue will be appreciated.
Thanks,
YounusHello Younus,
We are facing exactly same problem in some of our scenarios.
It is strange that this error doesn't occur all the time ,only some messages fail with this error.
I know ,this is a worst approach, but as we couldn't find any solution,we have adopted a workaround to request partner to resend the message and this works well .
Thanks.

Seeburger AS2: Error while parsing AS2 message: AUTHENTICATION_ERROR #
Hello all,
unfortunaltey we get follow error back, if we receive a message from our partner:
Error while parsing AS2 message: AUTHENTICATION_ERROR #
The channel setup is correctly ( I think)
(Sender Agreement:)
By the Aapter-Specific Attributes:
AS2 Sender Configuration
Authentication Certificate: <Certificate of the Partner>
AS2 Receiver Configuration
Decryption Key: Private Key from us
Signing Key: Private Key from us
The MDN Channel has setup follow:
AS2 Sender Configuration
Authentication Certificate: <Partner Certificate>
The AS2 Communication Channel has setup as follow:
AS2
disable Authentication required
Asynchrones MDN
Server Certificate <Partner's Certificate>
Private Key for Client Authentication is empty
But always we get the message back as I put in the topic.
Any ideas ?
Thanks for your helpHi Stephen
From the configuration side everything looks fine.
I strongly believe that some configuration at your partner side must be wrong.
For testing purpose, if you have BIS Spoke please create a dummy configuration and send message to PI.
First test with Disabling certificate authentification and then with certificate

Connection Timeout error message - HELP!
Hi,
I am so fed up with my internet connection....so here is my story....
I live above a shop in a rented flat which is owned by the shop owner, he kindly gave me the password for his router so I could use his internet free of charge.
This has worked fine with 3 different connections he has had since I have lived there and was working with the current one up until about a week ago.....it all of a sudden went off, however it was still showing up as an available network in my networks list, but when I try to connect to it using the password it brings up the 'connection timeout' error message.
I thought that this was something to do with his router so I brought my friends 3 Huawei E585 wireless internet device round to try that, but the same message appears, HOWEVER my iPhone 4 connects to this perfectly fine with a full signal strength.
THEN....my Dad took my Macbook and the 3 Huawei E585 device over to his house and my Macbook connected to it straight away??? ....... is there anything in the building that could affect the connection?? - as it seems to be my flat for some reason all of a sudden!? ..... my Dad has suggested it may be some sort of electrical interference if anything new has been installed recently?
Any help would be GREATLY appreciated as I'm SOOOOOO fed up of not having internet!!
ThanksJohn,
I had the same problem when I upgraded from Tiger to Leopard in January. My memory is already rusty but try the following:
1. Go to System Preferences > Network pane. On the left pane, click on AirPort. In the right pane lower right, click Advanced button. Then on the AirPort tab, click on the name of your network and then the minus sign to remove it from the list.
2. Click Apply and quit System Preferences.
3. Put the computer to sleep.
4. Wake the computer.
5. Go back in to Network preferences, AirPort tab. Click the plus sign to add your network. Fill in the Network Name, choose the type of Security by clicking on the pop-down bar, enter password/code/phrase and click Add. NOTE: Do not connect to the network at this time.
6. Click Apply and Quit the Network Preferences.
7. On the Menu row, click the Airport icon and select your network. (IF your network does not show, choose Join Other Network. Fill in the Network Name, choose the type of Security by clicking on the pop-down bar, enter password/code/phrase and click Join.)
8. Verify connectivity
9. Put the computer to sleep.
10. Wake the computer.
11. Verify connectivity

Error while parsing AS2 message: AUTHENTICATION_ERROR #
Hi Experts,
While a Trdae Partner is trying to send a file through AS2 Seeburger, we are getting this error,
"Error while parsing AS2 message: AUTHENTICATION_ERROR # "
in Seeburger tool and could not able to receive the file from the Trade Partner.
Can you please suggest any solutions.
Thanks,
KumarHi Kumar,
The trading partner is sending you a signed message and this needs to be authenticated in SAP PI. This authentication is done via the "Authentication Required" checkbox in the AS2 sender channel. Also, in the sender agreement, you need to give correct values for the authentication certificates for this partner so that you are able to authenticate, decrypt & process the message in PI.
In case you have access to the Seeburger Installation, you can take a look at the AS2 Config guide which explains more about this error.
>>> Error while parsing AS2 message: AUTHENTICATION_ERROR
Cause:
An incoming AS2 message cannot be authenticated.
Solution:
- Check the authentication certificate settings.
- Disable the u201Cauthentication requiredu201D flag, if messages without authentication are to be received.
Hope this helps.

Error when sending message: 500 Timeout
while sendin a message in the http to rfc scenario, im gettin this error message "Error when sending message: 500 Timeout".
can any1 throw some light on this.Hi venu,
you need to go to RZ10 and there select the profile instance and go with the extended maintance option in the change mode.
there are two ways you can change it:
1. check out note: 824554
TCODE - rz10
icm/server_port_0 = PROT=HTTP,PORT=8010,TIMEOUT=800,PROCTIMEOUT=800
(for 800 seconds)
8010 is my HTTP port so you have to change it:)
2. SXMB_ADM -> configure integration server -> change specific identifiers
runtime parameter:
Parameter HTTP_TIMEOUT
Meaning
Specifies the timeout for http connections (time between two data packages at line level). This value overrides the system profile parameter icm/server_port_n (for example, icm/server_port_0 : PROT=HTTP, PORT=50044, TIMEOUT=900). If you do not set the parameter HTTP_TIMEOUT or if you set the parameter to 0, then the setting for the system profile parameter is used.
Personally I only changed the one from the instance profile but the second one should work too
My suggestion is change only PROCTIMEOUT to 600 or 900 but dont change TIMEOUT. Imp thing is u need to restart the XI, then onlychanges will take place.
If these dosent work out go for changing TIMEOUT also. Just set the value for the instance and dont maintain the HTTP_Timeout in the sxmb_adm
Let me know what u have done , if it works
Thanks,

Oracle Error Code and Message for Query Timeout
Hi,
I need to catch the oracle error code and message for query timeout.
I am using Oracle 9i and could not find any relevant error code/message
for query timeout in Oracle Error Messages.
If anyone has encountered such error messages, please let me know the
Oracle Code or Error message.
Thanks & Regards,
KanjanaFly is correct in that Oracle will normally let a query run forever in the absense of a user profile or dbms_resource setting that limits a users (query) resouce usage.
The errors returned for these condition would probably vary but errors ORA-02092 "exceeded session limit on CPU usage, you are being logged off" and ORA-02093 "exceeded call limit on CPU usage" might be of interest.
But for distributed queries Oracle does impose a time limit. See Oracle error ORA-02049 "timeout: distributed transaction waiting for lock"
