Timeouts during http requests
Hi,
We have noticed that long HTTP requests from the IP phones to a web server are terminated with a timeout (timeout varies according to the phone model).
Where is these timeout being set? and is it editable?
this confusion occurrs commonly. Frankly, the StringTokenizer class is not documented well: the delimited Stirng is not treated as a single delimiter. Instead, it is treated as a list of character delimiters. Thus, when you create your StringTokenizer, you are actually defining '%', '2', and '0' as your delimiters. Any of those characters would be treated as a delimiter.

Unexpected error during HTTP request to voucher server The operation timed out
I read books from my library through a system called READS. I have successfully used DE 1.0 without any problems, however, when I tried to use it recently it required me to upgrade to 1.5. Well I did so and now the books won't authorize. Here is the error message I am getting:
Adobe DRM Error System: 5 State: 4 Class: 600 Code: 106 Message: Error on request or response from server. Please check your network connection and try again. Scroll below or view error.log for more details.

I have tried this multiple times with more than one book. Again, they worked just fine before I did the upgrade. I am running Vista SP1.Never mind, they obviously post the message on the ticket, but it doesn't send an e-mail. I will try what they indicated. Here is their response...

Incorrect URI is shown in packet capture of phone during http request
Good morning from Germany,
i read in the CSCuo15738, that the Bug with the incorrect HTTP Get Request is fixed.
But I found no new FW Files for these 79xx Phones
best RegardsCorrect. When a connection (TCP SYN) arrives, the CSS checks all of the rules it has that match the IP and port on the traffic. If any rule with that ip/port combination requires we need more data (i.e. a url, a cookie, an http header.) - The CSS must terminate the connection before choosing a rule. The termination looks like this:
Client->CSS *SYN*
CSS->client *SYN,ACK*
Client->CSS *ACK*
Client->CSS *GET*
CSS->Client *ACK*
At this point, the CSS checks for whatever the L5 rule required and matches based on the most specific rule that the GET pertains to.
Hope that helps! -
RSTPTEST , RFC ping failed RFC error text: timeout during allocate / CPIC-C
Hi all,
I was transporting the request in my landscape last week and all of sudden transports in acceptance system is not working and I am getting a error message as
Could not start transport control program tp
Message no. TP608 Diagnosis
There was an attempt to start the transport control program tp using the local RFC interface. An error occurred here.
Error code: 4
RFC error text: timeout during allocate / CPIC-CALL: 'ThSAPCMRCV'
Meaning of the error codes:
03 RFC system failure
04 RFC communication failure
System Response
The function terminates. Details about the error can be found in the trace file of the Gateway Monitor (SMGW).
SMGW logs are as follows:
Tue Jun 16 12:04:28 2009
ERROR => GwISearchPartner: timeout, partner LU: >hostname<, TP: >M:\usr\sap\SID\DVEBMGS00\exe\tp.EXE< [gwr3cpic.c 6135]
ERROR => GwISearchPartner: HOST: hostname conv ID: 50323660 [gwr3cpic.c 6148]
, This is the 3 system landscape, common transport directory in development system.
Actions taken:
Restarted the systems (PRD queue is working but not acceptance queue)
DIR_TRANS and Permission were given already and able to ping from all the sytem
Host and service entry were maintained already.
RFC connections were woring fine without errors
I have seen many threads but none of the thread is solved my problem.
Please suggest
VijayHello,

I think this is not able to contact the domain controller.
But I can see the checks are fine from checking the transport directory.

Timeout during commit processing
Hi All,
I am facing time out exception on test environment. It is clustered environment with 2 nodes. I have set trust domain between the two weblogic domains.
In one of my EJB method having tranaction attrbiute set as Required. In this method I also make a remote ejb call to different system for which I have set Trust.
When i execute this method , I see all my debug statement entering the method and exiting the method, after it exits my method , my client still waiting on response from this method and finally he get the java.rmi.RemoteException.
Detailed exception as below....

hiteshHi skrai,
From the moment the begin call is made, the timer starts ticking independently of the flow of your processing. When the timeout expires, the Transaction Manager will roll the transaction back. The first you hear of that happening may be when calls you make in the thread associated with the transaction start to throw exceptions, since it is not possible to propagate a rolled-back transaction (what would be the point, the results of the call will not persist under any circumstances?).
Therefore suspending a transaction has no impact whatsoever on its timeout; it simply breaks the association between transaction and thread. If your code suspends a transaction and then goes to sleep for a week, it should expect to find that the transaction has timed out while it slept.
So when U invoke an EJB with "NotSupported" tx attribute, the clock with the tx manager is still ticking.
Hope my explanation helped to resolve your issue.
Thanks

Creation of shopping cart through HTTP request
Hello all, I am trying to create a shopping cart through a HTTP request.
The URL I am managing is the same that the one that the Web Service BBPSC01 uses.
Using the following code I cannot connect to the server in background, the error "This browser is not supported" is launched.
In addition to this, I can open the URL successfully via R/3 when executing online.
Help very appreciated!

Currently our production system SAP R/3 4.6B is having one CI and two application server. When enduser tries to upload a document from desktop to SAP, getting CALL_FUNCTION_RECEIVE_ERROR.
The CI works fine but when tried the same ftp to upload from app servers it is
giving error.
The details of CALL_FUNCTION_RECEIVE_ERROR is as follows:
Error text........... "timeout during allocate"
Description.......... "no connect of TP sapftp from host %%SAPGUI%%

The error message in their to some extent matches with
SAP note solution 211365. The root cause described that "hostname is protected by router or firewall" does not coincide since Central DB server is working and not the application server scenario.
My questions is , will the instance profile parameter change will fix it?
abap/hostname_for_sapgui= hostname of APP server
How sapftp works in CI alone and not in application server?
The SM59, setting for SAPFTP is as follws:

Security options inactive.
Has anyone has experienced this before? Please check out the following SAP Note; a collection of all notes for this type of connection error:

Dear all
When i using SE51 to open any screen , the screen painter can't give me the graphical layout editor and shows the following message:
EU_SCRP_WN32 : timeout during allocate / CPIC-CALL: 'ThSAPCMRCV'
Message no. 37033
Anyone knows what is the problem?
Detail information :
SAP GUI Version : 710 for window
Fatch Level : 11
thanks for your input.Dear All... I had same problem for many mounths... My solution has been the "NAME" of my computer. My name contains a special char ( ì ) and the server didn't answer at my "request" to launch the screen painter SAP.
So try to change your "PC-Name" without special char (ex: "office") and try again to launch the Screen Painter.
I'm sorry for my bad english and i hope this reply will be usefull for You.
Paolo

Hi,
I get the following error when trying to make an HTTP request. Below is the snippet of code I run. I get the error after exactly 60 seconds(default timeout?). I searched through the forums and found many similar errors but nothing that helped me resolve this issue. The problem does not exist in the rest of our environments, only our test environment.
Help is greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Firefox aborts its http request silently within 60 seconds
duplicate of [/questions/1047223]
*Summary
Firefox aborts its http request within almost 60 seconds(period till
timeout varies) and tells nothing to users. This happened with both of
Nginx and Apache.
*Environment
Client browser: Firefox 35.0.1
Client OS: Windows 7 Enterprise 32bit SP1
Web Server: Apache 2.2.3-91 & Nginx 1.6.2-1
Server OS: CentOS 5.11
PHP: 5.3.3
FastCGI: spawn-fcgi-1.6.3-1
*Description of the issue
I have noticed that nginx logs http response code 499 so often.
We use nginx almost only for two web applications, the one based on PHP
and others on ruby. We experiences this problem in both apps. The server and client PC belong to the same subnet.
Since last month, nginx logged 624 errors for Firefox and 16 for other
browsers(almost IE).
So for test, I wrote the simple PHP (see the bottom of this article) and tried to access it
through both of Apache & Nginx with Firefox 35.0.1 and IE 11. IE11
waited 120 seconds and returned html successfully through both of nginx
and Apache, but Firefox failed either.
Let me describe Firefox's behaviour.
1. Enter the test php url at location bar and press enter.
2. The message 'waiting server response' appears at status bar for a while.
3. Watching network conversation through Wireshark, 'Keep Alive' signals
are repeated some times between server and client, and after that,
4. The message dissappears. 'FIN' signal is sent to the server from the client just after that. Firebug logs 'Aborted' at the almost the same time.
5. The server responses 'FIN ACK.'
There is a bit difference with nginx and Apache in behaviour after 'FIN
ACK'.
A.Nginx
Nginx logs '499' error and finish conversation immediately.
B.Apache doesn't log anthying at this step. After 120 seconds(sleep timer
in PHP) from request it returns expected html. Of course Firefox don't render it but I could confirm both of request and response from Wireshark's 'Follow TCP Stream' function. Finally it is logged with http status code 200 at httpd log file.
I repeated this test several times. Actual timeout period varies from 22
to 70 seconds but results are same.
With my understanding, the browser is expected to show 'time out error'
after such situation but it doesn't show anything. So end user can't
know what happend.
*What I tried to solve the problem
*disabled all extentions other than firebug.
*set 'network.tcp.keepalive.enabled' to false at about:config.
*set 'network.http.spdy.enabled' to false, too.
*set 'network.http.response.timeout' to 0.
*disabled IPV6 and DNS prefetch seeing the following help.
https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/websites-dont-load-troubleshoot-and-fix-errors
*changed Timeout to 0 at apche's http.conf.
My purpose is make our web apps to work properly in our working environment. I've recommended Firefox to our collegues because it was very cool application. Changing the default brawser is nightmare to me. Any suggestions are welcome.

PL/SQL posting to HTTP request
Hi
As part of a web application I am developing, I need to generate an HTTP post from a PL/SQL package. The problem I am having is that the message going out is not properly formatted and is being rejected by the listening application (in this case, WebCT)
The MIME message should be formatted like this. (this is what I get when I use Perl to generate the call...)

Is there somewhere where I can see sample code for placing HTTP requests using the utl_http package? Or if I am doing something obviously wrong (I am new at this whole PL/SQL thing...) please let me know.
Thank you
BogdanIf UTL_HTTP.SET_TRANSFER_TIMEOUT has no effect, probably your hang is due to the fact that the machine is completely down and inaccessible.
As the name suggests, SET_TRANSFER_TIMEOUT only controls the timeout when UTL_HTTP succeeds in making a connection to the remote Web server and it times out the request when no more response is received by certain time while the connection is not closed by the remote server either.
In your case, you probably need a connect-timeout which isn't provided by UTL_HTTP (yet). -
