Titanium Fatal1ty + Xbox 360 + reciever issue

I tried searching on the net and here but couldn't find a concrete answer.
I'm running the latest beta drivers, Windows 7, and an Xfi Titanium Fatalty. I have a 5. system and reciever hooked into optical out and my Xbox 360 hooked into optical in. Is there any way to get the 360 to pass 5. to my reciever, almost treating the sound card as an input hub or something? I get silence when I enable DD on my 360. I sold my Xtrememusic for this card, so I'm kind of angry if it can't since the box does kind of advertise this. Otherwise the optical sound is pretty good, even in stereo.

  • Titanium Fatal1ty digital sound encoder issues

So, I've had this Titanium Fatal1ty pro soundcard for a few years and it has always given me trouble. Simply, a few years back when I initially installed it, I had fought with achieving full DTS or Dolby digital mode, or anything greater (in signal quality) than PCM (analog mode). I eventually figured it out a few years back after repeated uninstalls, different driver versions. Problem is, I recently reinstalled my OS and now I can't get my sound card fully functioning.
So I can't get the DTS or Dolby digital indicators to light up on my reciever. I've sought the help creative offers by adjusting my sampling rate lower. Nothing. I've verified my on-board sound was disabled thru bios. I simply cannot get any digital sound flowing through my optical port. Weirdest of all, in Console launcher or creative Control panel if I cleck on the tab marked "encoder" I get the BSOD. Never fails; everytime.
I'm wondering if my encoder on the actual sound card is going bad. Then again, I've gotten BSOD screens lately even doing things unrelated to sound, especially while using Google Chrome. I'm wondering if my RAM going bad would affect the performance of my sound card.
Any ideas would be much appreciated! Thanks in advance!

  • WRT55AG and XBox 360 connectivity issues

I've had this router for almost 2 years and in the last month I've started developing issues of when I play a game on the XBox 360 I get constant issues with lag and disconnecting errors that make playing any game online impossible, but I never lose connection to XBox Live. This is happening with multiple games including Team Fortress 2, Call of Duty 4, and Halo 3.
Now before this I would have problems where the router would completely lose connection with my cable modem and I would have to reset everything but then it would be fine. Now I don't lose internet connection (PC is wired into router while 360 is wireless with Microsoft's official Wi-Fi periphial) or XBox Live connection, but any game I try to play is a fruitless endeavor because of lag.
My ISP is Charter Communication in the St. Louis area, and my connection is 3 down, 256 up. I have done speed tests and I'm getting pretty much those speeds exactly. I have opened the ports to make my NAT open, and the XBox test confirms my NAT is open.
I'm at the end of my rope, any help would be greatly appreciated.

Open routers set up page using http://192.168.1.1 ...leave username blank & in  password use admin....
Click on "application & gaming" tab ...... forward the ports 88 & 3074 for static Ip of X-BOX ....enable the servie & click save settings ....
USe static Ip ...subnet mask ...gateway & DNS numbers on X-BOX confgiuration
Do power cycle & see if you arew able to play games online or not...

  • EA3500 2 Xbox 360s NAT issues

I have the Linksys EA3500 and 2 xboxes.  When i just had one i had no problems.  Now that I have two Xbox 360s one or both have moderate NAT.
I have done the following and not fixed a thing!!
Security- Apps and Gaming- Single port forwarding
Port 88 (UDP)   Port 3074 (UDP and TCP)   Port 53 (UDP and TCP)  Port 80 (TCP)  all set to true (check) and used my Xboxes given IP. Also tired with an manual IP set outside DHCP range, bad ip it says wont let me.
Conectivity- Local Network- DHCP server (disabled), couldn't connect at all.  Enabled, DHCP Reservation, added Xboxes, didnt work, removed both added one, didn't help.  I've done this with the ports opened and after removing the port forward information.  It doesn't help.
I also tried manually setting my xbox IP to an IP outside of my DHCP list of 1.100 to 1.149, it wont let me, says invalid IP address.  I tried rebooting my xbox with the invalid address and the router still tells me its and invalid address and doesn't add the new address to the "devices connected"
I've tried with UpNP enabled, as it originally is and also disabled.  Doesn't matter.  I did the obvious and restored the router to factory as well as the router.  That didnt help.
Connectivity- Advanced routing- tried setting it to dynamic routing instead of NAT, it didnt help either.
I'm not an IT guy, I don't even understand why I should need to do any of this stuff, but none of it works.  The only thing that works is turn on the xbox, reboot the router, reload xbox live and it will stay Open untill I restart my Xbox.  I haven't even tried checking the second xbox threw all these steps but the few times i have its been moderate.
Routers up to date, aparently it has never recieved an update or the factory restore didnt remove one if there was one.
REally need some help.  Thanks in advance.

I’ve run into a post which is quite similar to your experience and it is not recommended to play two Xbox 360 units on the same network connected to the same game server since the modem will only generate a single WAN IP address. However, you may secure another WAN IP address from your ISP to connect the two Xbox 360. You might find the steps on this link helpful.

  • Xbox 360 Lag Issues

    Hi
I was wondering if anyone else was having issues with there xbox 360s. I am struggling to play any on line gaming as the lag is terrible and making playing the game impossible. I have run test from my homehub to my xbox and everything is fine that side of it. I have also run a speed test and am getting 8.1mbs so this shouldnt be an issue.
Is this an issue with BT?
Was wondering if it was just me or is anyone else having similar problems.
    Cheers

If it was wider Bt issue I would expect alot more people here, How are you connected wired or wireless! when using Live are you or others using internet as well!  Are you Lagging all the time or at certain times, are you able ping/traceroute and post results, plus your router stats.    Do you have the choice of servers EU etc.

  • Windows 10 and Xbox 360 Mic issues

I just upgraded from windows 8.1 to windows 10 and my xbox 360 mic which worked fine with the earlier version of windows stopped working correctly with windows 10. Skype 'sees' the mic as installed with no problems but it will not record sound and I can hear nothing back thru it. Please help    Thanks

I just tested out this configuration.  While I don't own an official Xbox 360 mic I do have a 2.5mm to mic/headphone converter which is essentially the same thing.  With it plugged in it gets detected and installed.  I tested this configuration in Windows 7 and it worked.  I tested it in Windows 10 and it wasn't initially picking up my audio. All it picked up was total noise (even without Skype).  I then updated the driver to the "USB Audio Device" driver and it still didn't resolve the noise problem though it wanted me to reboot.  I then walked away to do something else and the computer went to sleep.  After I awoke, everything worked fine and I could even make a Skype test call. If you haven't power cycled your computer yet, try that.  If you have, try updating the Xbox headset driver under "Sound.." in device manger to "USB Audio Device".  Power cycle the computer and try again.  I have the wireless version but it should work the same way with either wired or wireless.  You can also try install the USB cable or receiver into another jack and see if anything changes.

  • Splinter Cell Blacklist Xbox 360 Listing Issues

Blacklist went on sale recently for 360 only, but the page seems to have been removed, and now replaced with a stripped down Out of Stock listing without a price or Store Pickup option.
    http://www.bestbuy.com/site/Tom+Clancy's+Splinter+Cell%3A+Blacklist+-+Xbox+360/5667876.p?id=12186792...
In store, the game is priced at $39.99 still, like the other platforms, but they are unable to check the price for the online version due to the current listing for 360 being inoperable. Will it return soon, along with the product info page that should be present? I understand the price could change back at any time, but it should at least have a complete listing like the PS3 and other versions.

    Hey CannonO,
I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but this particular title has been phased out of our inventory. Since none of our fulfillment warehouses currently have it in stock and we do not expect to receive any additional shipments, its product page has been removed from BestBuy.com. Some stores may still have isolated copies in stock though, so you may wish to speak with a gaming specialist at your preferred location to see if they can track one down in your area.

It must have been a fault with the broadband itself, as you did not say whether other computers were affected on their own, I assumed it was only the Xbox.

  • XBOX 360 CONNECTION ISSUES

As I am a avid gamer on xbox360 I have noticed the following I have connection issues when I play black ops lag is terrible and thinking that this may be due to th e games servers so I tryed modern warfare2 and yet this is the same now bearing in mind whwn I was with Talk Talk this issue very rarely occured...so why now I wonder?....I have the new HUB 3 I have tryed PORT forwarding and this is still no better IF anyone has any advice on this I would appreciate it very much...........

    hi
there could be several issues here...
when gaming online, sometimes the lag may NOT be your fault (or your ISP i should say).
if you are on infinity, then upload is minimum of 2mbps so around 1.6meg in real terms which is more than enough bandwidth for online gaming.
however, LATENCY, is the main player here.
it doesnt matter if you have a 10mbps upload connection if your latency is very high but to be honest, even at worst, i dont think you should be getting in excess of 40ms to anywhere in the UK...
i am an XBOX gamer on Infinity and i use wireless to my HHB3 and have never encountered any issues so far (touch wood)...
As you say your are using a wired connection, then im assuming you mean XBOX directly wired into hub. If this happens with ALL of your online games, then maybe try resetting your hub/router and try again and double check any port forwarding you may stipulated. Maybe even try using another ethernet cable?
again, i have Infinity/HHB3 with no issues at all with online gaming, even via a wireless connection. If i did, then i would consider placing my XBOX in DMZ whereby it is beyond the firewall so should eliminate any firewall/port forwarding issues.
Since you say that the problem only apparent since changing providers, then i would concentrate efforts on the router/hub and your local connections to that device...its unlikely its anything to do with broadband itself, but more to do with your connection to it.
    ged

  • Time Capsule, hardwired to TWO xbox 360's, and NAT issues.

    Hello All,
I currently have an older Linksys WRT54G (version 1.0 LOL) which has been working fine for years. I recently bought my son an XBOX 360 for Christmas and we went through the issues of NAT and Call of Duty, and basically I have become quite knowledgeable on this topic. I recently added a SECOND XBOX 360, as it became apparent that one would not do with three boys in the house (Plus COD is a blast on line).
So I created a second Live Account and got the two xbox's running online stably with NAT wide open on both. This required abandoning the Linksys Firmware and installing "Tomato" on the WRT54G. That works GREAT. No modifications were required for the rest of the network including...
Macbook by Wifi, Minimac Hardwired (ya ya wifi works but hardwire is better), Airport Express (used only to stream music to stereo in family room - from ANY PC/MAC running Itunes...Itunes is VERY NICE), HP printer with network adapter, 5 other PC's including a mix of VISTA, XP, XP Pro, and multiple IPHONES, A Palm Tungsten C, WII, DS and of course the two hard wired XBOXs. NO Problems. The Tomato configuration only required the modifications for the XBOXs specifically as the rest of the network settings were not change after the firmware update.
What am I interested in? I'd like to upgrade to a Time Capsule for several reasons. One Newer wifi, faster, two frequencies, backup space for growing Mac branch of our network, and as the internet sharing router. AND to be able to access the TC from the internet for file access anywhere! LOVE THAT FEATURE. This requires the TC to be the first device after the cable modem as far as I can tell at this point. (any input on this specific feature would be great).
So I want to configure the TC with the input from the Cable modem as the main distribution of the internet. Then from the other NETWORK ports connect to my 20 port router for the rest of the house, as well as to the other items currently connected at the site of the current LinkSys Router (Mac Mini, Sony TV).
Also I need to maintain the current XBOX set up with (as well as Wii) with full open NAT on both XBOXs.
My question: Anyone here currently using the TC for hardwired connectivity for an XBOX with XBOX live running with open NAT for TWO XBOXs?
The issues with NAT and TWO XBOXs is that you cannot simply use PORT FORWARDing or PORT Triggering to make sure that the traffic goes to the correct xbox. The XBOX uses specific communication ports and the ROUTER needs to keep the traffic flowing properly or you get disconnected or never get open NAT (must have for XBOX live and internet gaming). There are many write ups on using Port Forwarding for one XBOX and setting the second one in the DMZ, but this does not work all the time.
The "Tomato" firmware on the LINKSYS allows fooling the router into giving a 'pseudo static' ip address to the XBOX's by doing MAC address based reservation of an IP number and then letting the DHCP give the xbox an IP address. The MAC address based reservation makes sure that the XBOX always gets the same IP address which for some GD reason must be in order for the traffic to be routed to the correct device. (you can of course use the same MAC address reservation for any device on the network).
Second Question: For those using the TC AND a second WiFi Router to do WIRELESS connection to the XBOX - which device do you have configured as the main INTERNET sharing router? I have read hear what appears to state that the TC is the main router and the other WiFi the secondary. Thus the ROUTING is still being done by the TC and the other wifi device is being used simply as a WiFi Access point/switch. If this is the case would the firmware on the TC allow the proper routing for TWO XBOXs on the network?
    Thank you,
    Mike

The ports are 53, 80, 88, and 3074. Since you are trying to make two Xbox consoles use those ports and you are trying to connect to a server, what you need to do is to use Port Range Triggering. You can't use Port Range Forwarding since it will only set those ports into listening mode to the IP address you set it. So if you use Port Range Forwarding it will only be open/available to one console(the one using the IP address).
You need to use PORT RANGE TRIGGERING. Disable Port Range Forwarding and DMZ. You need to enable UPnP as well if your Linksys router have this option (other model doesn't have this option but it is said to be enabled in default settings according to their tech support).
To solve the lag problem set your MTU size to 1364. This settings will work even if you have one or multiple consoles running behind the router.

  • Xbox 360 Trade-In Issue

I've rarely felt so insulted in my many years of retail work and patronage as I have felt today at Best Buy. As a former employee of the chain, both in retail and the Geek Squad, I am generally quite forgiving of any issues I have while shopping there.
The goal of my visit was to trade in my Xbox 360 to upgrade to the knew Xbox One. There was a promotion online to get some value out of my old system. The promotion was as follows:
"In store only. Trade in any working Xbox 360 or PS3 console and receive a $50 coupon toward an Xbox One. Trade in a working Xbox 360 250GB or Sony PlayStation 3 Slim and receive a minimum $100 gift card"
I had a mis-matched console, admittedly; it was a black elite with a 250 GB final Fantasy XIII hard drive. Since it didn't specify models, I thought I would still be eligible.
When I got to the line, there were two other people being helped. About 5-10 minutes go by and I still hadn't been recognized by staff, but they were busy so that's fine. The bag was fairly heavy and I kept having to shift around but I wasn't even asked if I would like to place it on the counter or anything. I thought that was lame, but maybe that's not their policy.
Eventually the girl at the counter finished helping her customer then said (either on her radio or to another coworker) that she couldn't help "this guy" (I'm guessing me) because she had to go on her lunch break. It was at this time someone did say someone would be with me shortly. I waited a bit until I was told to go around the counter to Geek Squad. Then we moved to another station because the first one didn't work. Then that one had a pad problem so I had to go back around to where I started. A little annoying, but nothing too bad.
We finally started examining the system. The lady pulled it all out and verified that it worked and had a 250 GB hard drive. Unfortunately, my console was not in their system at all. My console was refurbished by GameStop but still had the seals, but because it wasn't the color white (since the Final Fantasy version what white) I couldn't trade it in. Despite the fact it was still an Xbox 360 Elite. It was just the wrong color.
I politely asked if there was anything we could do. Any sort of trade. She said "nope" and shook her head. Feeling a little miffed I asked if I apologized for being a bother and asked if I could speak to the supervisor. She curtly informed me that she was the supervisor. Her tone agitated me but I was aware I was on the verge of being one of "those" customers, but I asked to speak to a manager nonetheless. I wanted to get something for this console because I really wanted to spend my money at Best Buy and not have to go elsewhere. So she goes to the manager and explains everything to him. He comes out and asks how he could help. I explain that I really wanted to trade in the system towards an Xbox One like it was advertised in the ad online. This is where I completely lose it in my head.
He looks me in the eye and asks if I would like to recycle it.
Really? Out of all of the possible things you could tell me, you offer to take my item and destroy it for me? I was so surprised, I bet my jaw dropped. I don't really remember because of the rage I was thrown into. No, I didn't yell at him or get too bent out of shape. I politely (as much as I could) say no thanks and ask for my console back. Astonished, I remarked that if this is the way they treat customers then I should return the Galaxy phones my wife and I just got four days prior. I don't know if it was his Commonwealth accent or what, but that way he said "You certainly have that choice" only seemed to enrage me further. I left and of course the girl gives me a sickly-sweet "have a nice day" which only made me more disgusted.
I really wanted that system and I will buy it next, but certainly not from Best Buy. We are even thinking about returning the phones we bought and going to Verizon direct (I already set some of that up), and we may close out our Best Buy Credit Cards. We were even planning on buying a laptop later this month because the Geek Squad protection ran out on our last one and its about to break. I won't be doing that again, I can assure you. I'm so upset that mere words cannot describe them. All I wanted was something for my old console so it wouldn't have to collect dust and all I received from their management staff was insults. Good job. Hope it works out for you. I doubt my words mean anything to you, but maybe some one will hear them and take heed. I hope so, at least, because I don't want anyone to go through what I had to today.

  • Just bought the Titanium HD - Can it input my xbox 360? Does it have low ASIO Latency?

Hi, I had a amazon credit and just purchased the X-Fi Titanium HD. I wanted a card that had low latency when using ASIO as I produce music using Cubase and Midi Instruments. I like to be able to play the sounds in real-time without latency and clipping.
Also, I read that it has a Digital Input on the back of the card. A thread I found here: [url=http://forums.techarena.in/monitor-video-cards/1374952.htm">http://forums.techarena.in/monitor-video-cards/1374952.htm
[/url]...mentioned that it might be able to input the xbox 360's audio.
I have a few questions before Amazon ships out my card.
1.) Is this the best card to choose from Creative in terms of ASIO latency? (Mainly got it for this reason)
2.) Can I input my Xbox 360 (using Optical In or Coax in) so I can play the sound through my PC? I'm tired of having to switch my receiver's input every time and being able to only listen to one audio source.
3.) I have the Z-5500 Speakers. Does this sound card come with the cables necessary to hook it up to my Z-5500 via Analog, Coax, or Optical In?
    Thanks!!

    1. Yes it is
    2. Yes you can but only in stereo, no DD/DTS decoding from spdif
    3. Yes you can, THD come with 2 toslink->minitoslink optical cabels
