Titles in DV format as opposed to HD format

Im sorry to flood the board, but I am working with a deadline here and need a question answered asap. When starting a Live type project, where can you select the format output? DV/HD??
thanks
Mike

sorry to bug you by email David, you da man!
But, he gave me some good feedback on creating titles. You select the format under EDIT>project properties. But you should not change it after you started formatting. I started from scratch on all my titles and they got even better with David's advice. thanks!

  • Exporting the titles in HD format and importing back in SD format in DVDSP4

    Hello,
I am new to this... still learning. I created a project in DVDSP4 in HD format. We did all the sub-titles unfortunately this format is relevently new, we would like to create the same project in SD format. Now when I am trying to export the item description and trying to re-import it back. There is a message which says cannot be imported into this project because it was exported from a different type of project. Its standard type is HD.
Any help ??? It almost took 2 weeks to create this project with subtitles.. how may I able to get the subtitles in SD format....

If you started a HD project, then you need to start completely new if you want a SD project.
    No way around it.

  • LOCKED - Troubles with RH's transform of FM figure titles/tbl captions' formats... Same problem?

    Source agent:  FM 9.0p250, unstructured
    Transformative agent:  RH 8.0.2.208
    OS:  WinXP Pro V. 2002 SP3
    CPU:  Core2 Quad @ 2.4 GHz
    RAM:  3.25 GB
    Free Space:  12.6 GB
    File Sys.:  NTFS
    Swap: D & E (system-managed)
Is anyone else experiencing problems with RH not correctly transforming FM figure and table titles? I can get most of my design to work, but I am having a problem with RH not following-through with some of my table title format and figure title format specifications.
I am having problems with RH not correctly applying, or inconsistently applying, figure title and table caption attributes ("Paragraph" settings) that I specify through Project Settings | Import | Edit | Conversion Settings.
For example (in FM Table Designer), I have a table title paragraph design, "TT.Table Title", in which I specify Title > Above Table, and specify a paragraph design (FM style) of Arial, 10pt, regular, bold, 0" indents, alignment left. It works fine direct to print or PDF; the same is true with figure titles.
In RH (through Project Settings | Import > Edit | Conversion Settings [FrameMaker Settings] > Paragraph), I specify that the FM style is to transform through an RH style that I define (through Edit Style button > Styles > Format > Paragraph). I set the alignment, etc., as is required through RH, but when I look at the Design view and/or generate the output (say...Webhelp), RH has not correctly interpreted one or more of my specification's attributes.
For example, in the case of my table titles, in Design view, RH has centered the title (or in RH terms, the ''Caption") above the table. Or sometimes the bold attribute is missing. In Project Manager, if I right-click and select View, the title/caption sometimes appears as specified; however, if I Generate the WebHelp (or HTML Help, or whatever), the bold formatting isn't there.
I thought that maybe RH defaulted figure and table titles to a Caption, as that is what it calls that part in the Design view. But when I set Caption to my specs, it made no difference.
    Any thoughts?
    Thanks in advance!

Please don't post the same question in two categories as apart from being against the forum rules it results in messy answers. Some in one category and some in another.
Here's a link to the other thread for anyone able to help Burtin.

The FM Integration category is for anything to do with issues that arise with FM to RH. FM has its own category for FM issues and there are various RH categories for content created in RH.
I am going to lock this thread so that answers end up in the right place.

I may be off at a tangent here as this is a wild guess.
HTML recognises Table Heading and Table Text, RH does not recognise the Table Heading selector. Maybe with your knowledge of FM's table caption and that tidbit of information, you can change something in your FM table to avoid the problem, if indeed there is a link.

  • Export Premiere title to bitmap format

    Hello all,
I'm in the process of building an end credit roll and am surprised to see there's apparently no way to export the title to any bitmap format.
The roll is many times the screen height, so exporting and stitching several 1920x1080 frames is not practical. The reason I wish to export the title is for review by other people not on-site. It would be so much more convenient to hand around a PNG rather than render and transfer a lengthy video clip.
Have I missed something and such a feature does exist? I hope so.
    Cheers

For full editing of a PrPro Title, in Photoshop, I have been filing Feature Requests for many years now, with no inclusion.
One CAN Export/Save a PrPro Title as a Template. That will be written as a PTRL, where directed. However, only Premiere can Open a PTRL. Photoshop cannot, and that has been my request.
Craig and Ann have given you some workarounds, that should work for what you need, but if PS could just Open a PRTL, one would have a simple solution.
    Good luck,
    Hunt

  • How to set window title using cfdocument format="FlashPaper" ?

Does anyone know how to set the the browser window title when using:
    <cfdocument format="FlashPaper">
    #docContent#
    </cfdocument>
The variable docContent is a fully formed html document, complete with <head> and <title> elements, yet <cfdocument> doesn't pick up the title I've specified. I'm wondering if anyone has done this before???
    Thanks!

Yes, I tried that, but <cfdocument> replaces any content that I add. I cannot view the source for the page, but at least according to FireBug, when I view the page contents, I get:
    <html>
    <head>
    <title>print.cfm - print.cfm (application/x-shockwave-flash Object)</title>
    </head>
    <body marginwidth="0" marginheight="0">

    </body>

  • How to display Spool title in custom format.

    Hi
When SForm goes to Spool by default it display the title based on <PrinterName> <Report> <UserName>, i need a solution where i can customize the title before it goes to spool. So that i can make difference this spool with others  while compare to titles. Well i tried with FM GET_PRINT_PARAMETERS, but not sure how far it can help in my case.
Please let me know the possible ways.
    Thanx.

    Hi,
The associated function module for the smart form contains an import paramter called OUTPUT_OPTIONS.
    OUTPUT_OPTIONS-TDDATASET : Spool request: Name
    OUTPUT_OPTIONS-TDSUFFIX1 : Spool request: Suffix 1
    OUTPUT_OPTIONS-TDSUFFIX2 : Spool request: Suffix 2
Just assign the value to the structure field OUTPUT_OPTIONS-TDDATASET .

  • Formatting date of Presentation Variable in Report title

    Hi

In the report title the date format is YYYY-MM-DD however I want to display it as DD_MM_YYYY
Can anyone let me know if it possible to format the date format for a presentation variable?
    Regards
    A

I've tried this and all this output to the title is 2009-12-03[DD_MM_YYYY]
Any other suggestions? Maybe I can change it when I set the variable in the prompt, did try {variable}[DD_MM_YYYY], in the prompt but it didn't work

  • How can I include, in the table of content, a title that I have put on a shape?

    Hello all,
    1. I have a table of content
    2. I have added shapes
    3. I wrote text (titles. subtitles) on the shapes
    4. They do not appear in the table of content.
    5. They only appear in the table of content if they are not on a shape.
    Pages 5.5.2
    Can you help?
    Law

    Hi Law,
Text in a shape or a text box will not feature in the table of contents.
To get a colour behind your titles, type them into your document (not a shape). Format as Heading or some other paragraph style the TOC will recognise.
Select the title text and Format Panel > Text > Font > Gearwheel > Advanced Options.
Choose Character Fill Color and choose a colour from the palette (left) or colour circle (right).
Example Titles (all on the same page for a smaller screen shot).
Chapter 3 (in a coloured Text Box or Shape) does not appear in the TOC:
    Hint for cheats :
To give the titles a wider Character Fill Colour, add some Tab characters before and after.
    Regards,
    Ian.

  • How to use "insert into & select" in format search

    Hello,
I am just wonderring whether you can help me solve this issue.
I want to change the value of a field in the title area for a sales quotation. however, this field is not shown up on the interface.
For example, there is a field in the title area, "OQUT.Ref1". You actually cannot see this field from the quotation interface or any other doc. Now I want to update the value of this field.
What I am now trying to do is to create an field named "update" in the title area, use format search to update. the code for the command will be something like
    Insert into $[OQUT.Ref1.0]
    select $[OQUT.U_MFG#]
here, U_MFG# is UDF. as you may understand, I want to copy the value in the U_MFG# to the field of "Ref1".
However, when I run "Execute", it gives me error. I believe there is something wrong with the code of "Insert into $[OQUT.Ref1.0]
Does anyone know how to write the code?
    many thanks
    Stanley

Thanks both Suda and sagar. The reason I wanted to do this is because I wanted to have UDF info be shown on the  MS word-templated quotation document.
As you know, when you click the word symbol, a word-templated doc will be generated. The client needs two completely different format of quotation printout. thus I plan to print one type from PLD and other type by clicking the Word symbol. but later, I found out that the UDF field cannot be selected on the MS word template, or only system fields.
Thus, the only way I can do is to copy the value from udf to some unused sytem fields and then show that system fields on the MS word template.
    any idea do you have?
I wanted to tell SAP that It is not useful if the udf fields cannot be inserted into word template.
    thanks
    Stanley

  • How do I create a title caps template?

Is it possible to create a template so that text automatically Is In Title Caps Format Like This? I want to then import it to my iPad.

    Hi Naomi,
You can do that in a Text Box. Select the text and
Menu > Format > Font > Capitalisation > Title Case
Menu > Format > Advanced > Define as Placeholder Text
    Save as Template.
Open the Template and click on the Placeholder text.
Type in lower case (hello world) to replace the Placeholder Text to see Title Case
Or you can do it in a Word Processing document (in the body text, not a Text Box.)
Edit: further testing you can have either a Text Box or Body text in a WordProcessing document and it will work when you type in lower case.
    Regards,
    Ian.

  • Titles pixalated after burning my project

In Imovie 09 my project looks great on my mac but when i go to idvd and burn it, all the titles i have put in on imovie look really pixalated when i play them through my dvd player. ive even played it through a dvd player connected with HDMI and still looks rubbish....
hope someone can help, and that i have explained my problem correct....
    cheers

    Hi fiction6
Welcome to apple discussions. Do you happen to have iMovie 6 also on your mac? Unlike iMovie '09, iM6 uses two fields of video (not just one).
I'm assuming single field processing does absolutely nothing to improve upon the quality of titles when it comes to burning them to standard Dvd-R.
Suggestion only: Perhaps you'll get somewhat better results with titles (and video) when using an older version like iMovie6 as opposed to iM'09 (that is if the objective is to burn titles to Dvd-R as opposed to editing video for the internet). The following links help shed some light on the difference between iM 6 vs. IM'09.
Btw, up until recently iM6 was a free download from apple's web site. However, they stopped offering this download. Not sure why. But maybe you can still find it on the internet. Good luck and feel free to keep us posted.

  • Title over video degrades video quaity

When I put a title over the video as opposed to over black, the video quality is severely degraded. It shows up to a lesser degree on the completed dvd but is still very noticeable. Is there a way to fix this or is it just the way it is?

I have never seen that error
Look closer. The degradation isn't big but it is there.
Import a high contrast still image with Ken Burns off. Add a title. Export as Full Quality DV. Open in MPEG Streamclip (or QT Player Pro with high quality display tuned on). The titled part of the video is somewhat blurry and the lines are distorted. The same applies also to video but in a still image this is easier to see.
Look at the straight lines in this animated example pair:

  • Is it possible to have a text field have both auto font resizing and rich text format?

I am trying to make a field so I can bold or italicize within, but still have the capability to add as much text as I want with the font size getting small so that it all fits in the field.  It seems I can have the auto resize OR the Rich Text, but not both.   Is there a way around this?
    Thank you.

You can't? Just to give you some context, I work as a graphic designer, I'm creating for the first time an iBook for a client and I have quite a few examples already.
    A couple of vague examples:
    - Imagine a diagonal animation from the bottom left corner to the top right corner of the page. I could do this with keynote or html, for example. Now imagine you want some text floating at the top left and bottom right corner.
I wont get into details, but the fact the animation is "cutting" through the text is very much relevant to the context.
    - A page with a bold white title, a strong photographic lowkey background and some kind of interaction of top of it.
    - A page with a keynote widget occupying almost the entire area, and a title in text format (that would superpose with they keynote but not with its graphics)
    - etc etc
    These are all impossible scenarios.
The actual interaction with text/images and interactive elements is nonexistent.
But I understand now that the interactive bits of the book must be separated from the other content - its context -which is a shame. And I understand it's not a bug, from what you say. The iBA interface shows the book like a PFD export, in a way, as well as the thumbnails at the Table of Contents, were all the text is visible. The actual pages have a different behaviour.
Thank you very much for the fast feedback. I will use the 'Provide iBooks Author Feedback' menu, as suggested.

  • Formatted search - Service call

    Dear All,
Im trying to write a formatted search on the Service call screen to retrieve the email address of a queue. The queue is in the general tab of the Service call. You can add user defined fields for the service call-title, service call -solutions, service call- activities etc.
I have added the userdefined field on the service call-title.
My formatted searches can access all the other header details on the service call but I cannot get the queue data in the general tab.
    Kindly assist,
    Thanks,
    Indraj.

    Hi Indraj
If I understand correctly you cannot add a formatted search on the queue field? If this is not so, let me know. If it is the Queue field, you must select the radial button to the left for the queue field to be active. I tested by doing the following:
    1. Added a UDF on Title level called email (U_email).
    2. Added a query - SELECT T0.[email] FROM [dbo].[OQUE]  T0 WHERE T0.[queueID] = $[OSCL.Queue]
    3. Added a formatted search to the email UDF and linked it to the query. Set auto refresh on field "queue"
This works 100% whenever I select a queue number.
    Kind regards
    Peter Juby
