TLN with one level

Hi,
If the TLN is configured to show only one level and DTN to start from the second level, the first time a user enter on the portal, the first node of TLN is not select.
What could be the problem?

Hi John,
Do you have any sort priorities set up on pages, or iviews?

  • How to create a dimension with one level

    I created a cube with some dimensions, that have only a level, and this kind of dimensions bring me some problems when I want to use "OracleBI Spreadsheet Add-In" to consult the cube.
    The problem is that I can’t create a hierarchy with only a level, so the dimensions are created without a hierarchy.
    When I make a query in the “Query Builder” of "OracleBI Spreadsheet Add-In", I have some problems in the step of choosing what levels I want to select for a determined dimension, if that dimension is a dimension without a hierarchy.
    What really happens is that, I can see all the values for the level in the left box, but I don’t achieve to put one of these values on the right box. I can click in the next button, to jump to the next dimension, and all the process of selection for the other dimensions occurs without problems, except for the dimensions that haven’t a hierarchy.
    If I select only dimensions that have a hierarchy, all works perfectly, but if I select one or more dimensions that don’t have a hierarchy, the following problems occur:
    => I can’t select the values of the level that I want to see (only for dimensions that don’t have a hierarchy)
    => When I click in “end” button of the “Query Builder”, it doesn’t finish and blocks.
    The solution is to create a hierarchy, but I can’t create a hierarchy with only a level. Is it possible to create a “top level” without a source column in the dimension table? So I will have two levels, and with these two levels I can create a hierarchy that resolves the problem.
    What is the solution for this problem?

    Rui Torres

    How I can resolve my problem?
    I don’t want to use the CWM2 PL/SQL packages, because with these packages I only can create MOLAP cubes.
    I only want to create ROLAP cubes, but I can't create a hierarchy with one level.
    Why the "OracleBI Spreadsheet Add-In" doesn’t work with dimensions, that not have hierarchies?
    How I can resolve this BIG problem?
    It is very URGENT!!!!

  • Dimension with no levels?  Can this be done?

    Hello Forum,
    I'm sure someone has run into this situation - I need to create a dimension that really has no levels... I need to create a Returns Dimension that has only two attributes, attribute 1: reasons for returns (too small, wrong color etc) and attribute 2: natural business key (Reason Number). All the other information that would be important to analyzing return metrics in my Return Cube are already in other dimensions (Store, Product, Customer Order)
    Can anybody share a work around, since the tool requires at least one level....
    monalisa

    Hi monalisa,
    sure . . . just create a dimension with one level. If you think about it, it can't have zero levels, can it? :-)
    This is pretty standard for a transaction type dimension, actually.
    But . . . consider . . .
    I'll bet that you won't eventually want just Returns (I'm done lots in retail). Sales/Returns. Full Price/Mark Down 1/ Mark Down 2/Clearance. I'll bet you will end up with about 15-20 reason codes (transaction types). And then they will want to group them, and categorize them, and you will end up with a second, parent level.
    There's something else to consider: this is a good dimension to store junk. Your Stock Count codes could live here. Your Stock transfer codes could live here. And so on. Do it this way, and you end up with a single conformed transaction type dimension for all your business processes. Just a thought . . .
    Cheers,
    Donna

  • Reverse engineering sequence diagram with more than one level deep

    Hello,
    When I generate sequence diagram from a method with Java Studio Enterprise 8.1, it only shows the method called directly by this method.
    Can I also show the methods that are called by the other methods that the one I'm generating the diagram from?
    Thanks,
    Mike

    Hi Mike,
    Sorry for the delay. The whole team has been busy with JavaONE for the past week.
    We currently do not support reverse engineering of an operation to a sequence diagram more than one level deep. I opened an enhancement request for you:

  • Changing width of a Sidebar in One Level Tabs with Sidebar.

    I am using a One Level Tabs with Sidebar.
    How can we change the width of the sidebar??
    Thanks,
    Deepak

    Sam,
    In the sidebar region of One Level Tabs with Sidebar., I am using LIST, so when I clicked the " show edit links" of LIST region, it's using template as Navigation Region. Then I did the following modification.
    Original Code
    <table class="t16NavigationRegion" id="#REGION_STATIC_ID#" #REGION_ATTRIBUTES# border="0" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" summary="" width="210" style="table-layout:fixed;">
    <col width="25" /><col width="85" />
    Modified Code
    increases the table width from 210 - 310 - nothings happens
    <table class="t16NavigationRegion" id="#REGION_STATIC_ID#" #REGION_ATTRIBUTES# border="0" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" summary="" width="310" style="table-layout:fixed;">
    <col width="25" /><col width="85" />
    increases the col width from 85 to 185 (table width remains same as 210) - sidebar region width increases (FINE)
    <table class="t16NavigationRegion" id="#REGION_STATIC_ID#" #REGION_ATTRIBUTES# border="0" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" summary="" width="210" style="table-layout:fixed;">
    <col width="25" /><col width="185" />
    decreases the width of table from 210 - 110 - nothings happens
    <table class="t16NavigationRegion" id="#REGION_STATIC_ID#" #REGION_ATTRIBUTES# border="0" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" summary="" width="110" style="table-layout:fixed;">
    <col width="25" /><col width="85" />
    decreases the col width from 85 to 45 - nothings happens
    <table class="t16NavigationRegion" id="#REGION_STATIC_ID#" #REGION_ATTRIBUTES# border="0" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" summary="" width="210" style="table-layout:fixed;">

  • Long one-level search times with = on v5.0

    I have a hierarchy with 200k+ user objects of custom class "testuser" in a particular OU. I am employing this search filter:
    (&(objectclass=testuser)(mail<=asdf))
    What I am experiencing is a long search time of up to 1 minute when I perform one-level searches in the upper hierarchy where there are NO leaf objects of class "testuser". If I change my filter to specify other object classes, I get a much faster search response.
    Somehow, it appears that a one-level search that should return 0 results will take a long time to process if lower levels contain a significant number of objects of this class. In itself, a single search is not significant, but they are cumulative and impact my overall searching performance.
    Any ideas much appreciated.

    You are experiencing the server overhead for evaluating the search. Do not be fooled into certain expectations of performance based on the makeup of the DIT. Internally a one level search is just like a subtree search with an extra filter applied (&(your filter)(parentid=#)).
    Really, you should look at optimizing your filters, which will improve all your searches, not just the ones that are supposed to return nothing. Lets consider your filter:
    (&(objectclass=testuser)(mail<=asdf))
    This translates into:
    subsearch: (objectclass=testuser)
    set: 200k entries
    This is probably higher than your allids setting and so will turn into an allids search (bad) - even if you have some huge allids setting and this miraculously results in an indexed search you are still looking at examining 200k entries.
    subsearch: (mail<=asdf)
    set: some small subset of (objectclass=testuser)
    So, now we apply this filter against the 200k entries (indexed case) or for allids we apply the whole complex filter against all entries in the DS - 200k+.
    Result: slooow
    Now lets look at the optimized version of the filter: (&(mail<=asdf)(objectclass=testuser))
    subsearch: (mail<=asdf)
    set: some small subset of all entries - lets say 10k
    If the subfilter is well targetted then the set considered here should result in an index based search.
    subsearch: (objectclass=testuser)
    set: 200k entries
    If the first filter paired down the candidate set enough, then this filter will be applied against only those entries which match (mail<=asdf) - 10k entries. If not, then this is a no win search anyway - 200k+ entries.
    result: in general fast index based searches
    Ideally you want filters that are ordered like this:
    (&(smallest set)(next smallest set)(...))
    It is common for people to order filters in precisely the opposite fashion (because we think like that), but it does not help search performance at all.
    Finally, it is a very good idea to think of ways to remove completely subfilters that would result in a very large set of entries. For instance, is it really necessary to use the subfilter (objectclass=testuser)? Is testuser that allows/requires the attribute mail? If so, then the objectclass subfilter is unecessary and simply adds to the search overhead (and as you have seen, quite drastically in some cases).

  • Move up one level in path and make new folder

    How do I get applescript to make a new folder one level up from myFolder i.e.
    set myFolder to ¬
    (choose folder with prompt "Where are the image files for which you want to change exif data ?") as reference
    make new folder at myFolder with properties {name:"Gallery JPEGs"}
    makes a new folder inside myFolder, but how do I tell it to move up one level from myFolder and make a new folder?
    Thanks.
    Pedro

    You can use statements such as the following ones:
    *tell application "Finder" to make new folder at container of myFolder with properties {name:"Gallery JPEGs"}*
    or
    *tell application "Finder" to make new folder at container of container of myFolder with properties {name:"Gallery JPEGs"}*
    and so on…
    And if you want the folder “myFolder” to be contained by the folder “Gallery JPEGs”, use the following statements:
    *tell application "Finder"*
    *make new folder at container of myFolder with properties {name:"Gallery JPEGs"}*
    *move myFolder to the result*
    *end tell*

  • How can an ADF Tree be configured to work with varying levels of heirarchy?

    We have a need for a Locations tree that represents the Locations heirarchy for any one of our clients. Depending on the client the number of levels in a location heirarchy could range from 1 to 9.
    I have created 9 different tree bindings and I can change the tree binding in the jsp page - the example below is for a client with 4 location levels.
    <af:tree value="#{bindings.ScdLocs4View1.treeModel}" var="node"
    binding="#{backing_locations.tree2}" id="tree2">
    For a client with 5 location levels, I'd like to programatically change the value to
    #{bindings.ScdLocs5View1.treeModel.  How can I do this?
    I was thinking I could use the setValue method on the tree control in my page's backing bean.  But I have been unable to get a reference to the tree binding.
    I don't see an appropriate method for finding a Tree Binding.  There are methods for finding an Iterator Binding, an Executable Binding, or a Region Binding (whatever that is).  But how do I "find" a reference to a Tree Binding?
    I have also given consideration to using a single Tree Binding with 9 levels (or rules in the Tree Binding Editor) and finding a way to  programatically "start" the rendering at a particular level (or rule) - in effect telling the ADF Tree control to ignore some number of rules and begin with the specified rule.  But I haven't been able to figure out how to do this either.
    Help would be greatly appreciated.

    Bill,
    A tree binding is a particular kind of control binding, so you can find it as a control binding and then cast it to the more specific interface to work with it.

  • How to get script to save up one level

    Here is my basic script so far:
    if (activeDocument.width > activeDocument.height)
    doAction("WalletName H_Right","X-Key Logos.atn");
    else if (activeDocument.width < activeDocument.height)
    doAction("WalletName V_Right","X-Key Logos.atn");
    I want a script that will save my current edited Photoshop CS3 open document image (stored in a folder called Client/jpg) and save it into a Client/edit folder.  In other words I want it to go up one level from the jpg folder to the Client folder then save into the "edit" folder that is in the Client folder.
    I want it to save as Jpeg, Level 8.
    In another script I use this to save the file as jpg level 12 into the same folder and append to the name:
    var CurrentFolder = activeDocument.path;
    saveFile = new File(CurrentFolder + "/" + imgName + "_" + "wal")
       saveOptions = new JPEGSaveOptions();
       saveOptions.embedColorProfile = true;
       saveOptions.formatOptions = FormatOptions.STANDARDBASELINE;
       saveOptions.matte = MatteType.NONE;
       saveOptions.quality = 12; //ranges from 0 to 12
       AD.saveAs(saveFile, saveOptions, true,Extension.LOWERCASE);
    But in this case I just want it to save with same name jpg but level 8 in a differnt folder.  The Client/jpg folder will be different everytime.  "Client" refers to the client's name so that folder is not always in the same location. So what snippet of code can be placed into the saveFile area to say go up one folder and save to "edit" folder with the open document's current name.

    Ok I am not sure where to put it.  This is what I got so far now:
    //Determint wether document is Horizontal or Vertical and run that action
    if (activeDocument.width > activeDocument.height)
    doAction("DigiPhoto H","X-Key Actions.atn");
    else if (activeDocument.width < activeDocument.height)
    doAction("DigiPhoto V","X-Key Actions.atn");
    // Write file up one level into "digipics".
    var CurrentFolder = activeDocument.path;
    var parentFolder = decodeURI(activeDocument.path.parent);
    $.writeln(parentFolder);
    saveFile = new File(parentFolder/digipics, imgName)
       saveOptions = new JPEGSaveOptions();
       saveOptions.embedColorProfile = true;
       saveOptions.formatOptions = FormatOptions.STANDARDBASELINE;
       saveOptions.matte = MatteType.NONE;
       saveOptions.quality = 8; //ranges from 0 to 12
       AD.saveAs(saveFile, saveOptions, true,Extension.LOWERCASE);
    It does the first actions and saves but prompts for where and what size.  What exactly does this need to look like so that it saves level 8, jpg without prompting and saves to the up one level folder as discussed earlier.
    I have searched and can't find anything.

  • Keyword management - how do you move keywords up one level?

    How do you move keywords up one level in the hierarchy? Sometimes when working quickly, keywords and subgroups of keywords get inadvertently highlighted and moved as a child under another keyword or group. I can't figure out how to move them back out again to the root level.

    I can't figure out how to move them back out again to the root level.
    You can drag and drop sub keywords to other locations higher or lower in the nested folder but you don't seem able to drag from sub level to root level.
    The easiest workaround would be to have a regular Back up of the list (pop menu from icon top right keyword panel: export keywords) and when not having added new words just use clear and import the back up to restore.
    If you did edit the list you can choose to export current list and with a simple text editor make the changes for keywords and sub keywords you want, save and then use again clear and import to retrieve the correct list.

  • Tell AS to make new folder one level up

    How do I get AS to make a new folder one level up from myFolder i.e.
    set myFolder to ¬
    (choose folder with prompt "Where are the image files for which you want to change exif data ?") as reference
    make new folder at myFolder with properties {name:"Gallery JPEGs"}
    makes a new folder inside myFolder, but how do I tell it to move up one level from myFolder and make a new folder?
    Thanks.

    "AS?" What's that?
    myFolder? What application are you using? I think you are in the wrong forum.

  • Possible?Multi-Entity View Object with one Entity Object that is Read-only.

    I know this sounds crazy, but I would like to create a multi-entity view object, where one entity object is based on a table in my application (we'll call it "Users", which basically stores the primary key for the person from the institutional people database), and the other table is a entity object based on a view of the institutional people database table (read only access), which we can call "People".
    I know that since no updates will be done to the People table, it really should be a read-only View Object, but I would lose the ability to sort on attributes like Last Name, Hire date, etc, since those would be transient attributes in my ViewObject for the Users. By having People as an entity object, I can then create a multi entity view object and have the ability to join Users to People and be able to sort on the above mentioned fields (like Last Name).
    The problem is that when I use the JDev (I'm currently using 10.1.2.1) AppModule BC4J tester, when I click on the multi-entity view object that I added to the AppModule it gives me an error:
    oracle.jbo.RowCreateException) JBO-25017: Error while creating a new entity row for People.
    ----- LEVEL 1: DETAIL 0 -----
    (java.lang.InstantiationException) null
    I have tried to change all the attributes to updateable in my entity object, but no create method, and I have tried to make them all read-only, but no effect, I get the same error (probably because the People view is read-only in my schema).
    Is there a way to change the entity object so that it will not try to create a new row when it runs the Tester? So that the multi entity view object behaves more like a view link, but gives me the added bonus of being able to sort on the Last Name column from the People table?
    Thanks for any help on this subject...at worst, I will have to use the view link method to get the job accomplished, but it would be "cooler" if this would work!
    Jeremy.

    Steve, thanks for your quick response to my question.
    To answer your questions, I was trying to create the Multi-entity View Object to give me more flexibility when working with my User table, and my People view. The flexibility I desired was that I would be able to sort my Users based on attributes in the People view. This is not possible when the there is only one Entity in my VO, and the People view data are all transient attributes, because they are not in the SQL statement.
    Ultimately, after working with one of my colleagues, we decided to use the approach that you mentioned by creating a read-only VO with the SQL query we want to display to the user (contains both User and People data fields), and then use a different ViewObject when performing other actions on the User Table (such as inserts/updates/deletes). By using the setWhereClauseParam() method in the handleLifeCycle() for the JSP page, we should be able to navigate between the different View Objects, so that the user does not see any difference.
    Thanks! Oh, and by the way, I have read your article you included before, and I have used it many times before to tune my View Objects! Thanks!
