Tmux: show window size in session list; don't resize when attaching

Hi there!
I have two questions related to the same problem in tmux. The problem is that when you attach (by accident) to a session which has been opened on a larger screen, it is resized. This changes the sizes of the panels on the original, large screen, as well as the relative sizes of vim panels, which is really annying. This could be prevented, for instance, if I knew the size of the session in advance, so I could avoid attaching to it. I see multiple potential solutions/workaround for this, though, hence the multiple questions (but google hasn't been kind enough to help me).
In the first scenario, I want to change to another session using the session list (<Ctrl-b><s>), but haven't assigned any meaningful names to the sessions, so I have no idea which session is the one opened on the larger screen.
[1] Is there a way to display the current screen size of each session in the session list?
In the second scenario, I attach to a tmux server without attaching to a specific session (because I haven't assigned any names, or don't recall them). If the session I'm attached to by default is opened on a larger screen, I run into the resizing problem.
[2] Is there a way to attach to a session which has the current screen's dimension (if there is one)? Maybe the session can automatically be sorted by screen size, so that by default I'm attached to the smaller screen.
[3] Another possible solution: Is there a way for tmux to warn me whenever I'm about to resize a session, be it by changing the session (scenario 1) or by attaching (scenario 2) (which, I assume, is in the end equivalent to tmux anyway), and allow me to abort my attempt?

Hi David, Thanks for helping me. the video was shot on the new sony hdr-hc1e (pal).the clip and seqeunce are both set to 1440 x 1080 but based on where i assume you were going i created a new sequence at 1440 x 1080 and loaded one clip to it, it works correctly. i think the issue was that when i created the first sequence it was at a different frame size, i changed it but the athough the changes show in the browser they don't seem to work the same was as a sequence which is correctly specified at the start, do you have any idea how i can make sequence changes and have them take effect on an already created sequence?

No. This is operating system stuff. But you can set the pref in PS to at least not treat every Window separately in Aero Peek. That way they only show up as "Adobe Photoshop"...

Popup window size problem

For some reason, the popup window link in my Flash website

Any ideas?
When I change the settings for toolbar, status, etc, then the
changes take effect, it seems though only the width and height
don't work for some reason.

Desire a default window size when opening 2nd Firefox window, when 1st window is a narrow news streamer

When I have a Nasdaq ticker running using firefox, then any time I open a new firefox window, it defaults in size to the small ticker window size. I then have to resize the window.
Is there any way to have firefox always open to a default size, regardless whether there are already other firefox windows open (of other sizes)?

So, there is no about config entry that you can actually manually set the specific window size, however there is an add on that allows you to set the size called [https://addons.mozilla.org/en-us/firefox/addon/firesizer/ Firesizer]. Try this out.

This is essentially paulbruster's answer, but I've added the steps some might assume, but which aren't so obvious to those of us who are new at this, like me.
This solution might ''appear'' to be long and complicated, but after you follow the directions once, you'll find it's quick, clean, and simple. Almost like they designed it this way.

I set the prefferance to show tabs and windows from last session but every time i power down my firefox or my Mac all my app tabs and windows disapear. what's wrong with my settings.

Make sure that you do not use Clear Recent History to clear the <i>Browsing History</i> when you close Firefox.

How do I get to my bookmarks in my bookmarks toolbar that do not show because my window size does not allow them to show?

In the 3.x versions of Firefox there was an area after your last bookmark in the bookmark toolbar where you you could click and access all your bookmarks in the toolbar if the window size was not big enough to show them all.
Now in 4.o all that shows are the bookmarks in the toolbar that fit in the window size. So if I have my browser window set to 900 pixels I can only see the bookmarks in the toolbar that fit in that area and I have no way of getting access to the ones that are not showing unless I make my window bigger. But even then my window can only get so large because of my monitor size at which point I can not access any of the other sites in the bookmark toolbar.
Am I missing something or is there a glitch in the 4.0 version?

Thanks for the reply. Unfortunately there is no chevron sign after the last bookmark nor after the "Bookmarks" text that if clicked takes me to all my regular bookmarks and oddly does not even list my Bookmarks Toolbar folder. If I want to get into my bookmarks toolbar folder I have to the top menu and click "Bookmarks" next to the "History" link and then navigate to the Bookmarks Toolbar folder. Something odd is definitely going on and it's getting annoying.
Any suggestions welcome. I attached a screen shot so you can see.

I upgraded my machine to Win7 x64 Pro about 3 weeks ago. My HW is an Asus mobo, Intel Q9450 w/8GB RAM. The boot drives are two Raptors configured as RAID01. All the drivers are the latest available from Intel, Asus and 3rd party vendors. My WEI is 5.9, limited by the disk transfer rates, otherwise 7.1 and 7.2 on the other indexes.

Session "Circular Kernel Context Logger" failed to start with the following error: 0xC0000035
As suggested above I assume this is a microsoft issue? It has been discussed here and other forums for quite some time. I never have seen a fix? I wish when we received errors of this nature microsoft would tell us what they were. How is this related to superfetch? What is superfetch? Why would superfetch have changed?
BY THE WAY.... Superfetch is on(started) is on automatic and logs on as local system. So this is not the cause of my issue. Also what is readyboot? Does the average computer really know what these programs/services or unique microsoft words/terms are?

Smartform doesn't show preview when the records exceed the main window size

Hi
When i print the smart form having line items exceeding the main window size on the page it does not show the preview. The internal table loop goes into infinite loop. Is there any means whereby if the records don't fit on the main window of the page will be continued to the next page. Right now I have no clue how it is to be resolved. I feel the problem is in layout, as when i remove the main window the internal table code works fine and it does not move in infinite loop. Please help me resolve this issue.

I have deleted the table from main window and instead inserted a loop.
Also i created the two pages. But the problem still persists.
But for my requirement my each line item in the main window has 3 lines.
Also my layout will be the same for all pages so is there a need to create a new page.
Is there any mechanism whereby if the line items dont fit on the mainwindow of the page will automatically continue on another page without having to define it.. please guide? Right now the smartform goes in infinite loop if it doesn't fit in main window size

I tried backup & restore without success. I have also found the .psess files and copied them to the catalog in the new computer but when the sides shows are opened none of the images or music is there. Only the text that I entered shows. I have even tried to replicate the file paths from the XP computer to the new computer to see if that will help.

UPDATE: By a stroke of luck I happened to find a catalog link (a PSE8D file) in the 'My Catalog' file where the imported data was stored. When I clicked on it to investigate what is was 'magically' all of my transferred projects appeared in Organizer. Upon further investigation I found that the projects transferred from my XP computer were stored in a hidden catalog that had to be accessed through the Custom Location option in Catalog Manager (accessed by clicking File then Catalog then Custom Location). No Windows or Elements search revealed this fact. I am appreciative that I just got lucky. The Adode/Photoshop company was absolutely of no help. If fact to me their structure is designed to avoid contact with their customers unless you're buying a new product. Their products have many good features (even though user unfriendly) and it's a shame they don't value their customers more once the sale is completed.
Bottom line: All of the projects (sideshows) have been recovered and work in my new Windows 7 computer. I hope my experience helps others.

System no longer does session restore but when trying to configure, it does not provide me with the option to show windows and tabs from last session

Before I updated the latest version of Firefox, every time the browser shuts down in error, I would get the System Restore feature which was really nice. Now, this no longer happens and when I went to configure this ability, it does not even provide me with the option to select to show windows and tabs from the last session. How can I get the restore session feature working again?

There are over 1800 photos and about 100 videos, any help to locate where they've gone would be appreciated.

Try to search with a Smart Album for photos and videos taken with an iPhone:
File > New > Smart Album:
Add an EXIF rule fro the "Add Rule" drop down menu: EXIF
and set it to "Camera Model includes iPhone".
Set the scope of the search to "Library"
If there are any iPhone images or videos in your library at all, this search should find them. Then ctrl-click any of the items and select "Show in Project" from the contextual menu.
Generally, Aperture should be showing your last import in the "Last Import" smart album in the "recent" section". And the "projects" view can be sorted by date, so you should see your recent imports.
You may want to check all search fields, if searches are active.
