To display ALV tree in one of the fields in Grid display..

hi,
I displayed 4 fields in Grid as we usually do.. but I have to display another field with ALV tree in it.. Actually first what is the method to add a tree in Grid.. I searched in class CL_GUI_ALV_GRID.. but i couldn't find appropriate method in it.. so plz help me out..

Hi Xier,
Try this I will give you steps
1) goto Message mapping >Choose the Date Function->select Current Date double click on the current date > choose it--> Remove the date in the date format (Make it emty) ---> choose second text box is time choose it which format do u want u can choose it. This one will display only time. because u choose the date is emty it won't display date. so u r problem will be solve

I have a requirement of processing the certain records of the internal table for which checkboxes are selected in the list.
The selected records need to be updated in the custom table and the unselected records need to be ignored.
I have created the PF status and the application tool bar and a button on the tool bar.
Then when the report is executed the list is displayed with the records with one of the field as a checkbox.
At user-command.
Then in the at user-command handling the button click event.
I want to know which records are been selected and which are not.
If some one knows please let me know.

This method will give you all the records which are selected in the list output. Collect them and modify your custom table.

Additional validation for one of the fields in down payment request

Hi All ,
I have a requirement for doing some additional validation for one of the fields in down payment request
(F-47) .
I need to validate a field u2018Assignmentu2019 in the down payment request .
Here, assignment field is mandatory and user has to enter a valid contract number. Then we have to validate the contract number entered against the tracking number field (BEDNR) in EKPO table corresponding to the vendor.
If the contract number entered is incorrect, then system displays a message with the valid contract number. The user can modify the assignment field with this contract number. Once the field is modified, system once again validates whether the contract number entered is valid.
Can you please provide me your valuable inputs how to achieve this.

Date differences if one of the field not presenting

Hi All,
I have two attributes start date and end. I have created formula replacement variable.
some times one of the field coming as blank, in such acase system writing some garbage value but i need blank.
How to resolve this issue.

Hi,
You can create a new formula in query designer with a condition such that date difference doesn't fall in the invalid value. If it that invalid value put the result as '0'.

The Output file name could be used from the field value of payload. For this you need to use the UDF DynamicFile name with below code,

How do you change the fields that are displayed on the email preview list after a search?

How do you modify the fields that are displayed in the mail preview list in the center column of Mac mail after you conduct a search of your email? All of a sudden the displayed fields changed on me whenever I do a search in mail. When I have not filtered my email with a search, the default field shown in bold at the top of each message's preview is the "From" field. However, when I do a search this changes to the "To" field. iTunes is responsible for the File Management, let it get on with it, you do your organisation in the iTunes window. And everything you need to do, you can do via the iTunes Window. Want to find the file of a track quickly? Right click on it in the iTunes Window and select Show File: A finder window pops open with the file already selected.

If you want to change the name or description of the field in the Sales order,
you have to use the userexit MV45AFZZ and use the Form USEREXIT_FIELD_MODIFICATION.
Get the help of the ABAPer and decide where do you want to make the change in the Header or the Line items. Accordingly give the requirements to the ABAPer.
He will do it.

One of the field is disabled(input not possible) after upgrade in FPE1

Hi ABAP Gurus,
I am working on FPE1 Transaction Code and i just find out that after upgrade one of the field on screen is not input possible but before upgrade we have that field as input/output possible .
so now we want same functionality what we have before . so which path do i need to follow because its standard screen .
any suggestion is appreciated .

Displaying ALV tree in expanded form in first ouput

Hi all,
      I have a problem with alv tree. My requirement is, on the first output itself the alv tree should appear expanded depending on one of the filter criteria in the tool bar. How can i trigger the toolbar event in PBO itself? Can it be done? if yes please provide sample code. Points assured for helpfull answers.

ALV Tree list output using the Class and method

Hi,
How to get the internal table values of ALV Tree List in classes.
My requirement is i need to store the output values in Ztable of a SAP Transaction of CK86_99.
for this, i copied the SAP Standard Transaction into Z tcode and i am trying to poplulate the output display into Ztable. But this standard tcode CK86_99 is using the classes of ALV tree list to display output.

CONSTRUCTOR - method
Finally in the above mentioned method, i am able to see the output values of ALV tree list in the internal table of mt_output_table.
But these are SAP Standard Class and method.
My doubt is, How to get these internal table values in my Zprogram.
is there any user exit or badi can we use in the method of class???? Actually my system is 4.6C
Please suggest me on this problem.

First your getInstance() method returns 'singleton' which you havent declared/init anywhere.
your getAll() method needs to be static if you need to call it the way you are doing.
In your getAll() method u are passing a parameter called patientRecord ... where have you declared/init it.
i think you have to do something like this ... if i have understood you correctly.

Filter data on any one of the field in Hirarchical ALV?

Hi,
Can any one tell me if I am using Hirarchical ALV for outputting the data, and I have to filter out the output data on any one of the column in the Hirarchical ALV, Is it possible ?
Can we filter out the data on the basis of field which is not the key field in the Hirarchical ALV?

What is the difference between GRID DISPLAY AND LIST DISPLAY

WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THE
                                                    REUSE_ALV_GRID_DISPLAY .
                                                                       AND
                                                   REUSE ALVLIST_DISPLAY.
COULD U PLZ GIVE ME THE CLEAR DIFFERENCE.

1. For all practical purposes, they are the same.
2. Some differences:
a) from abap coding point of view,
alv list is done with Function modules,
alv gris can also be done with FM,
but can also be done using OO concepts.
b) Alv grid (using oo concept) requires
designing the screen layout .
Hence, in one screen, we can show more
then one alv grid
(we cannot show more than
one alv list on one screen)
c) ALV grid uses ActiveX controls
present on the Presentation Server.
Hence, it consumes More Memory
on the presentation server.
d) ALV LIST is Display Only.
Whereas
ALV Grid Can Be made EDITABLE for entry purpose.
e) In alv grid, these options are possible,
but not in alv list.

without vertical lines
without cell merging during sorts
display total lines above the entries
ALV LIST Can be coded using only FMs
ALV GRID Can be coded using FMs and object oriented concepts
ALV LIST Can be displayed hieraicharlly

How to get the fields in a display variant

Hello gurus,
I have created variants for an ALV display that I can select on my selection. This works fine.
Now I need to know during the execution of the program what are the fields that have been selected in the display variant so that I can export the selected fields in an excel sheet that I send by mail. The file is currently being sent with all the possible fields .
Is there a module function that allows the program to know which field is present in the display variant?

Computer shuts down when I click on the list or grid display button

I've uninstalled an reinstalled 3 times and instead of the computer shutting down when I start itunes as it was doing, it only does it when I click on the display as a list, grid or cover display button. However it seems to unistall some parts at the same time as I can't open it all afterwards (error message says its not installed). This started to occur after a couple of weeks of non use and when I last used it I purchased songs from itunes. I now have current version but didn't when it first statred to happen. Help!!

Okay ... we'd better have a closer look at the minidumps the PC has been producing to see if they can turn up any additional information on what we're dealling with here.
Open "My Computer", and see if you can find a directory called C:\Windows\Minidump. (That's where minidumps usually go on a PC, so long as the Systemroot hasn't been set to some other folder.)
If it's been collecting minidumps, there should be files in there with names like "Mini(number-numbers).dmp"
(If you have "Hide filename extensions for known file types" enabled in Windows, the ".dmp" extension may not appear on the dump files. The numbers in the file name will be different for each minidump, if minidumps are present.)
Once we've tracked down some minidumps, we can have a go at analysing them.
1. Download and install the Windows debugging tools from here:
http://www.microsoft.com/whdc/devtools/debugging/installx86.mspx
2. Go to Start, All Programs, Debugging Tools For Windows, Windbg
Once you open Windbg, you will presented with a blank screen.
3. Click on "File > Symbol File Path". Here you will enter the symbols
path. Symbols are needed to effectively debug.
The path will be:
SRVc:symbolshttp://msdl.microsoft.com/download/symbols
4. Enter in this path and click OK. Now, go to "File > Save Workspace"
so that your symbols path is saved for future use.
5. Go to "File > Open Crash Dump" and load the file.
(An "Open Crash Dump" screen will appear ... doubleclick "My Computer", doubleclick "Local Disk", doubleclick "Windows", doubleclick "Minidump", and doubleclick on one of the minidumps in there.)
You will/should get a message to save base workspace information. Choose no.
Now you will get a debugging screen. It takes a little bit to run it,
as the symbols have to be downloaded as they are needed.
After the "bugcheck analysis" part of the screen comes up, look for the component that seems to be causing the crash. (It'll say "Probably caused by" ...)
Let us know the precise name of the component. (Include any file name extensions like .dll or .sys.)
If you can, have a look at several of your crash dumps. Are all the crashes being caused by the same component? If not, could you let us know the names of the various components being cited in the various crash dumps?
