  • Creating distribution lists in SAP CRM 5.0 business workplace

    Hi Experts,
We have CRM 5.0 and I have tried to create distribution lists for
    mailsending.
After defining a name and a folder (that is then created) for the
list the recipient list insertion is a following task.
I can search for partners of different type by F4 help but no
matter the type of the partner searched - the type that is
automatically entered to the lists recipents table is "shared
distribution list". even though the desired type is among others
in a list other values cannot be selected.
Please help, is this a setting that can be undone or what might
be a problem in the procedure that i use in creating a list?
has anyone else had similar problems?
    Thank You so much,

i have received an answer from SAP:
"The reason for the error is a wrong entry in table TBCS_RECIP. To removethis entry, please use the report which is entered in the description
of note 735795 or delete the wrong entry direct on table TBCS_RECIP.
After the run of the report or the deletion on table TBCS_RECIP you willnot find further the selection option 'Business Partner' on the F4 help."
The entry was removed and for Lists business partners cannot be selected at all - as a standard. really sad endeed.

  • How to send email to external users using the distribution list from workflow

I have created distribution list in SO23 with external email addresses.
How I can use distribution list in "Send Mail component" or I should use another component?
It works fine for a single email address. And distribution list works fine when I use it via SBWP.

    Hi,
Take activity step instead of Mail step. User fm SO_NEW_DOCUMENT_ATT_SEND_API1 to send mail.
And use fm SO_DLI_READ_API1 to find list of user from    distribution list. You can    find how to use this fm in rule 30000012

  • How to create Exchange dynamic distribution list using multivalue extension custom attribute

I am trying to create a dynamic distribution list using an ExtensionCustomAttribute.  I am in hybrid mode with Exchange 2013.  The syntax I have is this:
    New-DynamicDistributionGroup -Name "DG_NH" -RecipientFilter {(ExtensionCustomAttribute2 -eq 'NH')}
This works correctly on-prem.  But hosted always results in an empty list.  I can see in dirsync the attribute is in the hosted environment, but for whatever reason, the distribution group gets created but always come up null.
If I create a group looking at the single valued attributes, such as CustomAttribute6 -eq 'Y', it works correctly on-prem and hosted.
If anyone has any suggestions I would appreciate it.

I don't think I provided enough information about the problem.  Let me add some and see if it makes sense.
I have an Exchange 2013 on-premise configured in hybrid mode with Office365.  For testing purposes, I have 2 users, Joe and Steve, one with the mailbox on-prem, and the other with the mailbox in the cloud.  Each of them has CustomAttribute6 = 'Y'
and ExtensionCustomAttribute2 = 'NH'. Dirsync shows these users and these attributes are synced between on-prem and cloud.
Using on-prem Exchange powershell, I run the following command:
    New-DynamicDistributionGroup -Name "DG_NH" -RecipientFilter {((RecipientType -eq UserMailBox) -or (RecipientType -eq MailUser) -and (CustomAttribute6 -eq 'Y')}
This correctly finds the 2 users when I query for them as follows:
    $DDG = Get-DynamicDistributionGroup DG_NH
    Get-Recipient -RecipientPreviewFilter $DDG.RecipientFilter | FT alias
So I then delete this DG, and recreate it this time looking at the multi-value attribute ExtensionCustomAttribute2, as follows:
    New-DynamicDistributionGroup -Name "DG_NH" -RecipientFilter {((RecipientType -eq UserMailBox) -or (RecipientType -eq MailUser) -and (ExtensionCustomAttribute2 -eq 'NH')}
Replaying the query above, I can see this also works fine and finds my two users.
Next I open a new powershell and connect to Office 365 and repeat the process there.
    New-DynamicDistributionGroup -Name "DG_NH" -RecipientFilter {((RecipientType -eq UserMailBox) -or (RecipientType -eq MailUser) -and (CustomAttribute6 -eq 'Y')}
This correctly finds the 2 users when I query for them.
And then delete the group and recreate it using the multi-value attribute:
    New-DynamicDistributionGroup -Name "DG_NH" -RecipientFilter {((RecipientType -eq UserMailBox) -or (RecipientType -eq MailUser) -and (ExtensionCustomAttribute2 -eq 'NH')}
When I run the query this time it produces no result.  Every test I try results in an empty group if I am using a multi-valued attribute in the search criteria in the cloud.  If I use single valued attribute, it works fine.
I really need to be able to get multi-valued DDG's working in the cloud.  If anyone has done this and has any suggestions, I would appreciate seeing what you did.  And if this is the wrong forum to port this, if you can point me to a more suitable
    forum I will report there.
    Thanks,
    Richard

  • How do I set up a distribution list with multiple email addresses?

I can't figure out how to do this - I am a .mac member and really have no idea how to use the desktop mail function but I am assuming that I need to set up the distribution list in mail since I can't find anywhere to do it on .mac.
I am really sorry for this lame question - is it a problem with my ISP (sbc) or is it my operating system - 10.3.9?

    Welcome to the discussions, CassC.
You may need to re-post in the pre-Tiger mail forum.
But what I THINK you need to do is use your Address Book, and make a group. Add to the group (by selecting, dragging and dropping) the contacts you need in the distribution list. Now in Mail use the name of the group in the To: or Cc: or Bcc: field to send them all mail.

  • How to create a group from an email distribution list

    Hi,
I've searched around and could not find this question asked or answered.  It's this:
I get an email containing a very large distribution list.  I have some of these names in my address books but many I do not.
I need to send out emails to this same distribution list that is not a 'reply all".  What I'd like to do is easily highlight the names and create a group that I can then send emails to in the future.
Right now it seems that the only way to do this is to create a contact for each and then drop each one into a new group that I create.  Seems quite tedious.
Anybody know how to get this done?  I'm hoping for a magical highlight all the names, right click, select 'new group", name new group and presto: done.  All the email addresses would now be in contacts along with the new group.
    Thanks for your help.

There was a "magical" set of Applescripts that would have done that, but it no longer works.
There is no way in the OS to do that besides making the Applescript yourself using the current Script Editor.
Another way to do what you want is to select all of the addresses (select one, then cmd-A). Then, drag the selection to somewhere in the Finder. That will create a text clipping. You can then drag that text clipping into the address field in Mail.
The text clipping will be named with the first few email addresses. You can rename it in the Finder.
Each one can be your own "distribution" list.

  • Is there a way to add an existing distribution list to a document?

i created a distribution list with CVI1 and i am trying to add it to a document, NOT via the distribution list but from the document itself.
via the "environment" menu, I can create a new list or change a list in which the document is already written in: but i cannot add an existing list from the document.
    any idea?

    i am aware  of that: that i why i asked this question. i need to upload distribution lists to be added to documents and i did not find a way to add the documents to the list (cvi2) in a recording: the amount of document i can add is limited to the amount of lines i see on the screen;
my final goal is to add existing lists to documents or documents to lists, via upload (excel sheet or txt file) LSMW or other methods!
any idea is welcome: i have searched and not found solutions

  • Error while sending email to distribution list

    Hello All,
I am not able to send the email to Shared & Private distribution list.
It is giving an error "Function <Send> not possible"
I can send the email to users by specyfying their email id & recepient type as Internet address while sending mail from the Business Workplace. But we want to send it to users in shared/private distribution list.
SCOT, SMTP are properly configured as per SAP Note 455140.
Interestingly Routing Test in the SAPConnect shows no errors. Also the internal  traces are enabled, but it shows nothing for the outbound traces.
Response starting with "220", in the telnet results (for both SAP server & Exchange server) confirms that the SCOT configuration is correct for Mail Host & Mail Port.
We are on ECC6 on Oracle 10g & Windows.
I have searched this forum but couldnot find relevant answer.
If anybody has faced such problem, let me know how to resolve this.
    Regards,
    Vivdha

    Hi,
Check in transaction SCOT. If your mail is in error status in SCOT, you can assure that there is no problem with your code. If your message has not reached till SCOT, then the problem will be with the code.
If the mail is there in scot with error status tell the BASIS to configure it. I feel this could be the problem.

  • How to find the list of users loggin through HTTP session

  • Unable to manage Distribution list membership since moving from Exchange 2003 to Exchange 2010

    Hi,
We have recently started migrating from Exchange 2003 to Exchange 2010.  One of our customers used to be able to manage a security group through the outlook address book.  This is a mail enabled security group where the customer is on
the "Managed by" entry and the "Manager can update membership list" is ticked.
Now that the users mailbox has been migrated to Exchange 2010, if they try and modify the membership using outlook by finding the group in the address book they get the error "changes to the distribution list membership cannot be saved. you do not have
sufficient permission to perform this operation on this object".
I have now added a test account to the managed by entry on the security group to test the problem.
    I have followed the article
http://blogs.technet.com/b/exchange/archive/2009/11/18/3408844.aspx that explains how to use the EMS to give users the right to amend groups that users own.  I did not run the script but entered the following commands:
    New-ManagementRole -name “MyDistributionGroupsManagement_Test” -parent MyDistributionGroups
    Remove-ManagementRoleEntry “MyDistributionGroupsManagement_Test\New-DistributionGroup” -confirm:$false
    Remove-ManagementRoleEntry “MyDistributionGroupsManagement_Test\Remove-DistributionGroup” -confirm:$false
New-ManagementRoleAssignment -name “MyDistributionGroupsManagement_Test-Default Role Assignment Pol” -role “MyDistributionGroupsManagement_Test” -policy “Default Role Assignment Policy”
All appears to have worked ok and I have seen no errors while doing this
If I use OWA and then use the ECP, I can now see the "Public groups I own" but no groups are listed.
I have created some new distribution groups in Exchange 2010 (One dist list and one security group) to test and added the test account as an owner of both and a member of both.  I still cannot amend the membership using outlook address book and the
ECP still shows no groups under "Public Groups I own"
I have seen a number of articles on how to do this and it looks like I am doing everything right and it has worked for plenty of other people.  I just don't know what's going wrong.
I would be very grateful if anyone can help.
    Matt

    Hi Rajith,
I deleted the outlook profile and recreated it but this did not work.
I have now created a brand new mailbox on Exchange 2010 added this to the "managed by" section of the Exchange 2010 dist lists and I still get the error.  I also do not see the groups listed when logging in as that user to OWA ECP and clicking on the
    Groups link.
I had a look at the link you sent me and I could see that from the Exchange server when I opened the User roles to get to the ECP, clicked on Roles and Auditing and then User Roles the only policy applied is "Default role assignment".  When I select
the details for this, under Distribution groups, "My Distribution Groups" is not ticked but my new one that I created "My DistributionGroupsManagement_Test" is.  So this looks ok.
    Any other ideas?

  • Edit an "intelligent group" in the "edit distribution list"

    Dear all,
how can i edit members of an "intelligent group" in the "edit distribution list"?
What I try to find out is if it is possible to edit members with more than one email adress like it works for a normal group.
I managed to get the "edit distribution Llist" button in the adress book enabled, but I can't edit an "intelligent group".
    System:
    Mac OS X 10.7.2 (Lion)
    Thanks in advance.

If you want to allow edit functionality of attached files without development work, you can tell your users to attach folders instead of documents. When the folder is opened from the detail screen the edit locally functionality is available for the folder's content through the standard hover menu. Of course the task description would have to include instructions on which file to edit. Not perfect, but could be a solution.

  • SCMA / SCMABOX / SCMABOXE ; Schedule Manager -  Spoollist Distribution List

    Dear Group!
I want to schedule a job through  SCMA and the output should not go directly into the spool but send to an Distribution List.
In SM37 it's easy to set this up. You just have to open "Spool list recipient" and enter the name of the Distribution List as the "recipient".
Is there any workaround to get this done out of SCMA.
I played around with SCMABOX(E) and had no success so hopefully I find somebody who can show me a way..
    Cheers
    Frank

Thanks for your answer but it's no help.
I looked at it already and you can't achieve what I described by studying this OSS note.
    Cheers

  • How do I create a Distribution List in the Mail App?

I am a recent convert from MS Outlook on Windows. I am loving Apple's Mail, Address Book and iCal. But I am still learning how to do all the things I do everyday without even thinking.
I just want to create a Distribution list for each team of people I work with. There has got to be something I am overlooking...???

Thanks. I was hoping to find something other than Groups, because when you sync with a mobile device, it maps the groups to Categories in the device. This adds a lot of complexity to data and many mobile devices have some limitations on categories.
But thanks for the quick response!
