To restrict End user to enter EAN code manually

In Premargin check when we go for Bar code scanning, the EAN code field appears in editable mode. After scanning an article that field gets the EAN code automatically from database table for that particular article. But one can modify that ean code as it appears in editable mode. I want to make that field to appear in grey mode so that end user can not enter ean code manually and if i scan an article this field gets the ean code from master data.
How can i restrict end user to enter the EAN code manually in the EAN code field.

Thanks for your reply but i have tried this option also. Let me explain you about the scenario.
In UI screen there is a field EAN code. It can be filled either by scanner or an end user can feed the data on his own without scanning the article.
What i want is to make this happen only by scanning not by manual entry.
Whenever an article is scanned its EAN code automatically should come in that field.
I have made the field in grey mode but while scanning it is not picking the EAN code of that article and throwing an error message as "EAN code field can not be left blank". When I am making that field in editable mode then it is able to pick the EAN code after scanning.

Is there a way to restrict which users can enter data in particular fields in a list item entry form?
We are using a SharePoint Foundation 2013 list and calendar to manage vacation time. We need to restrict non-supervisor users users from entering a value in a certain field in the vacation request form.
Here is how the system works now:
1. Employees complete the vacation request form (which creates a list item)
2. An email is sent to their supervisor to either approve or decline the request
3. Approved requests are automatically entered onto the vacation calendar
We have restricted the list so that only supervisors can edit items (the pending vacation requests). The problem is that all users can mark their own requests as approved when they fill out the request form in the first place. Is there a way to restrict
which users can enter data in particular fields on a list item entry form?

Thanks for the suggestion. We ended up 1) hiding the approval column and 2) creating a second list, workflow, etc. The user no longer sees the approval column when filling out the form. Requests are now submitted to list A. Workflow #1 copies the request
to List B, then deletes the item from List A. Once the request is added to List B, Workflow #2 emails the user that the request has been received and emails the supervisor that a request needs to be approved. Only supervisors have editing permissions on List
B. Approved requests are automatically added to the vacation calendar (the calendar view of List B).

How to customize SAPlogon so that the user cannot enter transaction code?

I use PFCG to create a role which limit the choices of menu. I create a user and set the role to the user.
I would like to disable or hide the COmmand Field so that the user cannot enter transaction code directly.
Is it possible to do so?
If yes, would anyone show me how?
Any discussion is welcome.

anyway you are going to restrict the user authorization vai role, insted of going throught the whole tree to execute the tcode there is shotcut as command line. here you can save much more time for the user insted going through the tree always. there is no harm for the system if you keep the command line option. What and why you think it should be disabled?

Hi Venuthurupalli,
As valery has said once you select the value to be of type integer,once you perform an action it will be validated and error message that non numeric characters are there will be shown. If you want to set additional constraints like max value, min value etc you can use simple types for it.
On the project structure on left hand side under local dictionary ->datatypes->simple types create a simple type of type integer
The attribute which you are binding to value property ;make its type as simple type which you made

We have created few workbooks. The requirement is that the end user should not be able to modify or save the workbook. We tried using S_RS_Tools authorization object with "themes" in the Command ID. But this does not seem to solve our problem. Please suggest whether it is possible to enter any other value in this field to restrict access to the end user.
We also tried including the following authorization objects with the corresponding values :
1.S_GUI with the value Activity=60(import)
2.S_USER_AGR with Activity = 03 and * in Role.
3.S_BDS_DS with Activity = 03(display) and 30 ; Class Type = OT.
4. S_USER_TCD with tcode = RRMX.
But still the end user is able to modify the workbooks. (The end user must not be able to make changes to settings of any of the buttons in the design mode, must not be able to save the workbook).
Please suggest the corrections required. Also kindly suggest if there are any other ways to resolve this issue <removed by moderator>.

Hi,
Only few people have authorization to create S.O. w.r.t. quotation (as in our case, sales ppl create quotation and Finance ppl create S.0., with reference to Quotation Only - T.Code: VTAA).
Others have only authorization to View/ Display, VA03.
Consult your Basis-Admin, he will create appropriate role & assign T. Code: va03 for list of user, provided by you.

How to restrict end-user from not using certain movement-types in MB1B

My client wants that end user has access to only particular movement types in MB1B.i.e only to 311 and 412,421E.
They do not want any other movement types to be access by end-users in MB1B
How to go about this requirement?

Hi Martin,
Yes, you must handle this using authorizations.
Go to transaction SE93 and check for the transaction code whether there is any Authorization Object maintained.
Most T codes have S_TCODE as the authority object.
Check with basis, they would confirm all the profiles and roles which hold the authorization for this authority object + tcode combination.
By ensuring the user is not given the required auth. role, the user on entering the tcode in command box would receive an error and he would not be able to execute.

Restricting a user to enter fixed characters in an input field (mobile)

Hi All,
I have created a simple type and set its length to some fixed characters. I have mapped this simple type to an input field. When I run this application on desktop it doesn't allow the user to enter characters more than the fixed length of the simple type. But this functionality is not available on the mobile ie. when I try to enter some text in the input field on the mobile device it allows me to enter as many characters as I want and the fixed length property of the simple type doesn't work here. Can anyone suggest me a solution for this. Reply ASAP.

Restricting end user to one specific group with anyconnect

Hello all
I just started configuring AnyConnect with ASA 5520 that uses Cisco SecureACS to pass radius authentication. I configured two profiles with different split tunnel restrictions and what I discovered is that when the client connects to the ASA, they are provided a choice of these two groups (I guess there is no way to restrict this) and I can log into either one with any user account. How do I restrict this so that the user can only use one profile? Currently users capable of VPN would be placed in one specifc AD group so that is what SecureACS checks. Is there a sample configuration guide to handle multiple profiles with different levels of access?

Alternatively, you can use Radius authorization to place user into a specific group-policy:
- Configure the Group-Policy attribute under Radius to be OU=

On the ASA, just configure 1 tunnel-group, and depending on the authentication, the user will be placed into the correct group-policy specified under the ACS server.

JAVA CODE Restricting users from entering Fractional numbers in Data forms

is there anyone who can help me with the Java Script code of ValidateData.js file?? I am very novice in scripting and find it very difficult to write a proper javascript code to restrict the users from entering fractional numbers to HEADCOUNT cell. I would very much appreciate if i get some help from anyone out there.
Users should be able to only enter whole numbers to the cells for Headcount entry.

Hide Command field (where users enter transaction codes in SAP GUI)

In our requirement, the custom SAP transaction will be launched on CRM Web UI through transaction launcher technique (when users clicks a hyperlink on CRM UI)
But business people are asking us to not provide the user to enter transaction codes in command field. They don't want User's see command field when the back-end SAP GUI is displayed on CRM UI through transaction launcher and they don't want the user to navigate to any transaction from the SAP GUI. Please let us know you comments on this. Is this possible, if so please guide me?

This is a question for SAP basis.
One work around could be that the the users who would use ITS screens should not have any other AUTH objects for executing other TCODES. And when they try to do so they will get an error message like you do in a normal SAP GUI.
Basis can configure this by running a Auth Trace.

If you have a one to one between GL accounts and Committment items, the commitment item has an authorization group field on the basic data tab. You can assign certain users an authorization group linked to committment items which correspond to GL accounts.
Depending on the complexity of what you are trying to do and considering that you don't want to require a lot of maintenance, you may be able to use line item validation.
Finanancial Accounting, General Ledger Accounting, Business Transactions, G/L Account Posting, Carry Out and Check Document Settings, Validation in Accounting Documents (i.e. if T-code is FB60...GL acct must be XXXX and something else must be YYYY etc...)
