To use a maintainence view in programe.

Unlike projection and database views, i am not able to use maintainence views for getting the data using the SELECT query .
How can we get the associated data using the maintainence view.

We can call the VIEW_MAINTENANCE_CALL function module inorder to use the maintenace view.
To this pass the view names and U for Updattion and S for display.
This maintainenance is used to update the tables and display them.

You can simply call it via SM30.   Or you can call the table maintence view from any program(report or module pool) using a function module.

How to retreive data from a maintainence view?

Hi all,
I have used select query to retreive data from a maintainence view. But it gave me a syntactical error that XYZ is not in abap dictionary , it's a database / projection view?
So can't we get data from a view using select query?
Please share if u have answers.

Maintenance view will be created for database tables only.
Just display the maintainence from SE11 and click Tables tab in the screen
Here you can find the list of tables used to created for Maintainence view.
YOu can use these tables to write SELECT.
If you give us the maintainence table, we will help you.

    I need to update a table in Oracle with the SAP data.
    The SAP data is in a maintainence View.When I try to select the data into an internal table ,I am getting an error message that tells that the corresponding View is not defined in the DB as a table ,projection view or database view.

Maintenance View   ( SE54 )
Maintenance views enable a business-oriented approach to looking at data, while at the same time, making it possible to maintain the data involved. Data from several tables can be summarized in a maintenance view and maintained collectively via this view. That is, the data is entered via the view and then distributed to the underlying tables by the system.
Data that is distributed on more than one table often forms a logical unit, called an application object. You should be able to display, change and create the data of such an application object together. Users usually are not interested in the technical implementation of the application object, such as the distribution of the data on several tables.
You can maintain complex application objects in a simple way using a maintenance view. The data is automatically distributed on the underlying database tables.
All the tables used in a maintenance view must be linked with a foreign key. This means that the join conditions are always derived from the foreign key in the maintenance view. You cannot enter the join conditions directly as in a database view.
A maintenance interface with which the data of the view can be displayed, changed and created must be generated from the definition of a maintenance view in the ABAP Dictionary.
When the maintenance interface is created, function modules that distribute the data maintained with the view on the underlying tables are automatically generated.
The maintenance interface is generated with the Transaction Generate Table View (Transaction SE54) or from the view maintenance screen with Utilities -> Tab.maint.generator.

The visual Studio Test controller service on local computer started and then stopped. Some services stop automatically if they are not in use by other services or programs

How do you configure the test control?
Please make sure you are specify the team collection instead of team project.
On the other hand, you may enable test controller logs. (You could share the log file on the OneDrive)

I am unable to use the Live View function when working with JavaScript in Dreamweaver.

I am currently trying to set up my own website with dreamweaver and am very familiar with Java and JavaScript. However, whenever I try to use the Live View function it never lets me. Additionally, I am unable to preview my work in a browser as the option to do so is greyed out.
However, I have noticed that when using html in a project, all these functions are available. Any ideas how I can be able to use these functions?

Is it possible you meant to say you were "very unfamiliar with Java and javascript" in your initial post?
Javascript doesn't do anything without an html page to affect.
Java and javascript are not the same thing, they're really not even related other than browsers can be made to render both. Java is its own programming language while javascript is basically html's helper monkey. I don't think it's even feasible to "understand javascript" without knowing html. My last post still stands, if you are coding javascript, you need an html based page to turn it into anything but plain code to a browser, so the option to view it will never come up. When you preview the page it's attached to, it will function correctly (as long as it has been attached to the page correctly).
Java on the other hand can create programs that run without a browser at all and I've never gotten close to touching that monster.
You may need to explain what you're trying to do and post the code here to get the help you need.

Maintainence View Problem

I have created a ztable, and have used that table in maintainence view, but when i use that view in sm30 for entering the data, one of the field description is not coming it is just showing '+' ., what would be the problem .

in the ztable for that field u might have used a data element which has no description. If there is no description for a field then in SM30 it will be shown as +.
To solve this, for this field create a new dataelement and assign the dataelement to the field. Then goto table maintenance, delete the one existing, create a new one and activate it.
Now, when U go to SM30, u will see the description instead of +.

for maintaining depending table entries with in a single view.
ex.
Let us take example three table emp_master, emp_sal and emp_rating. three tables are containing following fields
emp_master        emp_sal         emp_rating

if you are creating maintanace view for the above three table. where you can maintain(create and change) value for the three table within a single view. Created and changed value in maintanace view will be saved in to the corresponding table.

when i'm trying to create a tcode for maintainence view of table ,i used to fields view name: here i gave the table name;

MSSTV001 - Delegating tasks using the team viewer iview.

We are setting up a proxy so that our highest level mangers will not have to do their own compensation planning through MSS. We found the user exit MSSTV001 to use for this purpose. Does anyone have experience in using this user exit?
I am looking for examples of code entered into: EXIT_SAPLHRWPC_TO_REMOTE_001 and EXIT_SAPLHRWPC_TO_REMOTE_002.
Any other helpful information is appreciated. I already have a sheet from SAP Online help that gives me a few details on what to do. It is called: Delegating tasks using the team viewer iview.

Thanks. I did so. Using this I can see the OrgUnit. However, this is the OrgUnit of MSS user. It remains same through out the program. It is unlike pernr which changes as the user clicks on different Employees.
My exact requirement is as below:
User will click on Employee Selection drop down box. After that he will select "Employees from Organizational Structure". Here organization structure will be displayed. Now the user will expand Org Structure. I want to know the Org Unit of different Organization as the user will go on expanding the Org Structure using the buttons

User will click on Employee Selection drop down box. After that he will select "Employees from Organizational Unit". Now we can see the Go button. I have to write some code on the button. Where I can find the code for the button. I spent lot of time. I am not able to find out the exact place where the view for the button is located.

I've got a DTD,i've to code the XML part in XSLT_TOOL but when i use the statement

Creating Certificate using Acrobat dll in C# program

Hello,
I need to create a certificate, basically .pfx file in C#. I used makecert tool to create the certificate first and then export it into .pfx file through command line. My attempt was successful. Then I used the .pfx file to encrypt a pdf using iTextSharp. The pdf is encrypted successfuly but when i try to open the pdf, Acrobat/Reader shows a message "You do not have access rights to this encrypted document". I intalled the .pfx file but the problem still remains.
Can anyone please guide me what am I doing wrong. I used the following code from command prompt to create a certificate and then export the certificate to a pxf file
Create certificate - makecert -r -pe -n "CN=My CA" -ss CA -sr CurrentUser -a sha1 -sky signature -sv MyCA.pvk MyCA.cer
Export to pfx - pvk2pfx -pvk MyCA.pvk -spc MyCA.cer -pfx MySPC.pfx -po <password>
