TOC style template for epubs - where is it stored?

Hello,
some years ago I saved 3 different toc styles for my epubs. Now I added some more (for 2 levels etc.). This new ones also I saved.
But when I start to build the epub in the first option windows at the point TOC style navigation there are still the old three templates to select. I'm not able to choose the new ones.
Now I deleted in every dokument file the three old TOC styles by using the usual TOC tool. But in the epub-generator these templates are still there. With the result: the epub toc wich will be generated is wrong.
Where are these templates stored?
I use ID CC 2014.
Thanks
Detlef

Hi Anshul,
Thanks for your help. I export to epub 2.01 reflowable.
For dokuments that might be so. But I do it with books and I deleted the TOC styles in ALL documents but it was still there in the list. Also I created a new book with all new dokuments, generates on TOC style in the first document and in the export option list there were the Default style only. It is not to figure out, where ID ist looking for that?
Cheers

  • Is there an Excel-style template for the UI of a page based on a table?

    Hi Guys,
My app could use an Excel spreadsheet style look-and-feel for maintaining the data in a certain table. Is there a simple way of accomplishing that in Apex? I'm currently using 4.1.
    Thank you!
    Kim

Good question. We're basically looking for a grid look-and-feel so that the user can use the four arrow keys to navigate around. Basic dynamic column filtering and sorting features would be nice, but not required. In essence, each row in the grid represents a row in a table. Each column in the grid represents a column in a table. Each cell of the grid represents a column value in a particular row. Certainly, however, I'm not looking for all of the numeric calculation/equation capabilities of a spreadsheet. Mainly looking for that grid look-and-feel of representing tabular data.
    Thanks,

  • Can I have separate Style Formatting for viewing and sending emails?

    Hey All
I was just wondering if it was possible to have separate style settings for viewing emails sent to you and sending emails to others.
Basically I want to set up a kind of style template for all my outgoing emails but I don't necessarily want my incoming mail to be like that if you see where I am coming from.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks
    Derek

    Thanks for that.
That would certainly be an option. However after some further investigation I came across this article which shows me exactly what I was looking for:

But thanks for your help though. It is really appreciated.

  • Style Mapping for TOC & Drop-down

I'm using RoboHelp 8 and MS Word 2007. I've modified the Style Mapping.dot Word template in the project folder (as opposed to the generic one in the RoboHelp installation folder). I've done the mapping in the Printed Document Appearance dialog box. The problem is that RoboHelp seems to totally ignore or override the styles in the template. I hope that someone can tell me what I'm doing wrong. Let me list some of the problems:
In the table of contents, the top-level entries are numbered. Within RoboHelp, the Heading 1 entries are not numbered, and the comparable style, TOC1, in the Word Template is not numbered. Yet in the output, the entries are numbered. I don't want them numbered.
The Word output for "dropspot" text is indented by 1/2", and the output for "droptext" is indented by 1". Both are encased in <p> tags in the RoboHelp source, and the style for div.droptext in the default.css does not contain a left-margin rule. In the Word template, the mapped paragraph style for the droptext does not contain an indent. Of course the style information for dropspot on both the RoboHelp and Word sides is a character format and can't contain any left-margin/indent information. Just for grins, I tried changing the color for dropspot and droptext in the style sheet; that change was produced in the output, but nothing that I have been able to do eliminates the indentation.
The Word output for the droptext is bolded. Again, it is not bolded in the RoboHelp source, defalut.css, nor in the Word template style mapped to it.
In the case of the TOC problem, RoboHelp seems to add the numbering to the TOC1 style even though it is not in Style Mapping.dot. Fixing is fairly simple by just altering the style in the output.
In the case of the dropspot/droptext entries, the problem is monumental. RoboHelp does not appear to add the indentation information to the Word style sheet. Instead, it appears ot modify every single instance inline. Beccause the Help system in question consists of a very large volume of drop-down entries and because it must exist in both online and printed versions, it virtually requires the maintenance of two entirely separate "documents." Since the source can change frequently and substantially, that becomes extraordinarily expensive in terms of resources. We really need to be able to generate useful printed documentation from the online source. Any suggestions.

I just created a new project and set it up to map to the Style Mapping template. That is obviously a new copy taken from the installation folder.
I opened the template in Word and used the Change Style pod (CTRL + SHIFT + ALT + S). There I removed numbering from the TOC style. When I generated a document, there was no numbering.
Dropspots can be part of a paragraph so there should be no indenting. In this sentence "part of a paragraph" could be a dropspot so indenting would be a nonsense.
Using the supplied template neither were indented.
That all suggests to me that a fresh look at your in project template needs another review.

  • Customize TOC for epub book

    Hi,
I have a book file in ID CS6, containing ten chapters each one in its own document starting with Heading 1 style for "Chapter 1", "Chapter 2",  "Chapter 3" etc. It also contains some more documents for cover, copyright notes, acknowledgement, publisher's info etc (not formatted at all).
Well, when I export it to epub and open it in Adobe Digital Editions a TOC is generated from the file names of all the documents.
Is there a way to exclude the entries I don't want to be there?
Furthermore, can I control the text of each entry? eg for the file "cr.indd", I want the text "Copyright notes" in TOC.
    Thank you

Short answer to your question: You can control the navigational TOC by creating a TOC Style (Layout > Table of Contents Style) and including a paragraph style which you want which pulls the headings you want into the TOC.
You then call out that TOC Style on the General panel of the EPUB Export dialog.
It sounds like you need to get some basic information about creating EPUBs. Here are the two best sources I know:
    (1) The eBooks of Elizabeth Castro:
    http://www.elizabethcastro.com/epub/
    (2) Anne-Marie Concepcion's videos on Lynda.com. She's produced videos on creating EPUB from InDesign CS5, 5.5 and 6. www.lynda.com. (If Bob Levine sees this, he'll add a week-long free link for Lynda.com.)

    Hi Kostya,
    Only two steps:
Download XML publisher desktop from oracle site and install on your machine.
Once setup finish then you will able to see one new toolbar in MS word (Template Builder).
Using that toolbar you can develop and test your report.

Better to post in the iDVD forum here.
That way you can get feedback from iDVD users. This forum is for troubleshooting Mac App Store issues.

  • APA Style Template in Pages for Mac?

Does anyone know how to create an APA style Template in Pages for Mac?

Search for a Word APA template to your liking and open that in Pages.
The problem you will encounter with Pages 5.5.1 is that the List styles are fairly broken and require far more work than they should need.
If you have Pages '09, use that instaed.

  • EPub Photobook Template for Pages?

Does anyone have a stylish Pages photobook template that is appropriate for ePub conversion and upload to the iBookstore?
Background: I made a photobook using the Pages best practices ePub template but it is very plain. I have one image per page that is not centered and doesn't take up the whole page. I also didn't have much luck keeping captions with inline images. Floating images were denied in the ePub conversion. I was forced to use lots of chapters because the ePub conversion limited me to 1 MB per chapter. I also tried an iPad app called eBook Magic that made a nice quality pdf but a blurry, low resolution ePub file.

Just add a return after an inline image and type the caption underneath. If you have enough room and the captions are short they can also be to the side.
Use before and after paragraph spacing to maintain uniform offsets from the image.

  • Where can I download additional templates for Numbers '08?

Does anyone know where I can find additional templates for iWork 08's Numbers? I find the ones that are included with the software to be so helpful. I figure there's bound to be more out there that could prove even more helpful.
    Many thanks in advance.

If you try to make it first and run into a problem. People here will always be more than happy to answer your questions on how to get it to work.
Two bonuses to doing it this way:
    1) You learn the program so much better
    2) It doesn't cost you anything
I don't know what the TOS says about looking for commercial work on the boards, but if they have their emails 'shown' that means they don't mind someone contacting them directly, just look at their profiles by clicking on their name in the postings.
I would look around and find someone that seems to have the experience. You might just find your answers while looking and not need someone.

There are currently no templates available for stageplays. I'd recommend using Celtx (free) until Adobe adds stageplay templates.
