No, you have to execute the statements 1 by 1 yourself (F9 or highlight+F5).

In script u can't change the value in debigging. Open ur print program(If u don't know check TNAPR table).
Search for the element name where u r printing this variable. U can see some thing like
CALL FUNCTIOn 'WRITE_FORM'
element = ur element name.
Keep break point here and when u issue output control stops here. Now change the value as we does in normal reports.

Debugging mode - sql query not showing up in console

Hi,
I have turned on the debugging mode via Admin->Server Configuration->Debug Level. Set it to debug mode.
I restarted the server. I wanted to test if the query will show up if there was an error in the query.
However I am not seeing any query. It complains that there is some error, but doesn't show what query string it is using.
Anyone got any idea how I can get query to show up on console (BI Publisher web interface) as opposed to
going and seeing the log files on the server.
Please let me know.

Break points set in an included script during debugging sporadically jump to the last line of the included script

As I stated in the title, I use the ScriptInclude command quite extensively, because we have at our company a policy of maintaining one large-ish (roughly 7k lines) function library which is included by various individual evaluation scripts. Debugging this with break points is often the only (useful) way to see into the state of the script, so I depend on them.
My problem is that often when I debug a script calling the function library, setting a break point in that library and running into it during debug mode will not transport the cursor to the location of the current break point, but instead to the very end of the included script. I have noticed this with a separate pair of scripts, as well, which includes a similar size script to call functions from (roughly 2k lines).
Now I wonder if this has to do with the size of the scripts included, or if it is dependent on something else. It seems to not be affected by restarting DIAdem, and sometimes it works as intended, but I have not been able to reliably replicate indivdual occurrences one way or the other.
Has anyone else had this problem happen to them?

I also use scriptincludes extensively, Most of mine are in the range of 500 to 2000 lines. Usually I organize them in logical code topics, I like to use them to hold one class most of the time. When I debug these I can set a breakpoint, and it will stop at that location.
I also use custom log class as well, I find this quite helpful, in the applications that are unattended.
The only thing I can think of to try is to separate the 7k file into 2 2k line files and then script include them separately.

ps. I sometimes need to have intellisense work from a file that was scriptincluded, this requires copying the file into the end of the main script. (you most likely already know this )
One other note, Are you talking about debuging code in a SUD, that is whole different problem to deal with.

Debug Mode - Source tables not showing up in Test Data tab

I'm new at OWB, so pardon me if this isn't a great question...
I built a mapping based on four views that are stored in Oracle. When I tried to run the mapping it gave me some errors, so I initiated debug mode. After the debug mode is initialized, only the target table shows up on the Test Data tab, the four source views are not there. How can I get the sources to show up in the Test Data tab so that I can define what test data to use?

Deserialization works only in debug mode

When I try to deserialize an XML document (defined via File-Connection) it works fine in debug mode but I get an error in non-debug-mode. What's the problem here?

Are you 100% sure? Because I can see that SSIS seeks for the dll in ...DTS/binn. So I see no need to pollute the GAC with this dll.
My dll is not deployed into the GAC and when I remove it, it will no longer work. I think it works in DTS/binn because the DTExec.exe is located there?

Debug mode problem.

There is sap script form attached to the particular payment advice. When i am running trasanction F110, it contains the particular zprogram assigned to that payment method. I actually want to debug this and want to see how program accesses zprogram and zform but despite of breakpoint in the program and script it don't stop to the zprogram or from. Could you please guide me how i can reach to the zprogram and zscript in debug mode ?...Output is getting generated with the help of zprogram and zform.

You need to considere F110 runs the print program in backgroud mode, that means a job is scheduled, so try to checl the job too

I need to do some changes in layout ZF110_DDRF_DE as per customer requirements for remittance layout printing , payment method ' V' .I want to debug the script .
When I use the F110 Trannsaction for payment run , it is creating output in spool directly with going into debugger even though I activated the debugger for script .
1) I think F110 creating a background job for printing.can any body tell me if there is another transaction to run the payment so that i can go into debugging mode ?.

Yes, if u want script in debug modeyou should active debugger in both program and script level. Active debug from script side and put break point in your program and run F110 with all neccessary input values. Then if u select print priview then your script will be open in debugging mode. Here i got a problem after installing Oracle Identity Manager 11g R3,to solve the issue i need to run WebLogic Server 10.3.3 in Debug mode.
Can any suggest how to run WebLogic Server 10.3.3 in Debug mode.
Here i find a solution to run in debug mode,but no difference in log files before and after changing debug mode.
Enable Debugging on the WebLogic Server
To start WebLogic Server in debug mode, you will need to modify the startWebLogic.cmd script in the <WLS-root>\wlserver_10.0\samples\domains\wl_server directory. <WLS-root> is the directory in which WebLogic 10.0.1 was installed into.
In the startWebLogic.cmd script, specify the JAVA OPTIONS with:
set JAVA_OPTIONS=-Xdebug -Xnoagent -Xrunjdwp:transport=dt_socket,address=4000,server=y,suspend=n

I cam across this issue too. It looks like there is a bug in sample script provided by weblogic documentation. We should not use ADMIN_URL as they mentioned in the script.

Sorry for the late reply. First of all, thank you for uncovering an untested part of ServerDebug MBean. The Debug Mode for Security Realms currently works for fileRealm but doesnot work for alternate realms(e.g., LDAP realm). We're in the process of fixing this in the future releases(may not be Beta Refresh but will definitely be fixed in GA). I'm attaching a working config.xml(with fileRealm) and the only change you've to make to your config.xml is

If you're debugging a fileRealm then I belive, this serves your purpose. But if you're debugging a Security Realm other than fileRealm and this is blocking you, plz let us know so that this will be fixed with a higer priority. Thanks again for uncovering this. Can´t prevent ExtendScript Toolkit from starting debug mode

Hi,
i have developed a panel in configurator and have installed it in my plugins folder in ID 5.5
If i click buttons, it opens ExtendScript Toolkit and shows me one single yellow line. If i click "Debug" > "Run" it executes
my script, but i have to click "Run" for each button i click in my panel.
It happens only on my computer. On other machines its running fine.
Is there a way to prevent this permanent debug mode startup?

Sun Ray Connector proxy i on debug mode - VDI 3.1.1 -

On each connection to a windows session with VDI I use the Sun Ray Connector Proxy, each user launch a daemon called uttcpd everytihnings is ok but this daemon is launch on debug mode so my /var/ad/messages is full of usesless debug message. I don't find any option or configuration file on the doc to change the daemon logging mode.

I have a handful of users and they all logon the same way, which is to enter username & password then I have the following lines at the end of the users' individual .dtprofile file . . .

Of course 'uname' is actually the user name followed by the Terminal Server IP address and as you can see I am using the '-O' option, but every morning all the users on a server have their Sun Ray sessions reset and I find this in the messages file . . .

It will give output as

The CONDENSE statement deletes redundant spaces from a string:
CONDENSE c NO-GAPS.
This statement removes any leading blanks in the field c and replaces other sequences of blanks by exactly one blank. The result is a left-justified sequence of words, each separated by one blank. If the addition NO-GAPS is specified, all blanks are removed.

Error when starting Weblogic in debug mode

Has anyone experienced any difficulties when starting weblogic in debug mode.
More specifically, it cannot start correctly because it thinks that another instance
is using the same port (definately not the case).
Any clues/suggestions are greatly appreciated.

Hi,
We have had the same problem in a non-express application
with a heavy server partition. In our case, the error was not
systematic, depending on the server workload at the time we
tried to partition and run.
The work-around we're using is to put the -fm flags (increasing the x
parameter to say 30000) in the 'server arguments' of your server
partition
properties in the partition workshop. Note that if your server is a Unix
platform,
you need to put double-quotes before and after the parenthesis in the -fm
syntax.
