Too many fields (QE - 3018)

Hello
I am trying to change something in the document settings and i get the next error:
Too many fields (QE - 3018)
Can someone help me?

Hi,
I encountered the same error message when I attempted to change the company name in system initialization.  I'm using 2007A PL38.  I followed SAP's recommendation to you by:
1. Detaching the database in SQL then attaching it.  When I tried to change the company name, I still encountered the error.
2. I then tried Backing up the database then detach it.  I created a new database then restore the backup.  Still it did not work.
Please let me know if I did right SAP's recommendation.
Thank you.

    Hi,

    can  somehone help me ?

    Hi GEORGES
    Yes,based on our experience,the issue can be solved by
    a DB restore.
    In order to try to resolve the issue, please do the following steps :-
    1. Open the SQL server and then take the backup of the database in which
       you are able to reproduce the issue.
    2. Then delete the database from the server in which you are getting
       this issue.
    3. Then restored the database again from the backup file that you have
       taken as per step (1).

  • Too many fields in SBO 2007.

    Hi friends,
    I got an error at the moment to update or delete any account numbers in the areas of "Type of Account" from the G/L Account Determination, in a new company that I'm configuring in SBO 2007.  The error says "too many fields" and I'm worried that error appears later in the production DB on my customer .
    Thanks.
    Daniel

    Hi Marcia,
    Just the error saying "too many fields", and I really want to get out the account or change it for other one.  In 2005 i don't have any problem with that.   In the other hand, the DB is new.
    Thanks.

  • Access 2010 table has too many fields for web database - how to split into two web-compatible tables?

    Hello,
    I'm in the process of converting an Access 2010 database into a web database and I'm having some trouble. I have a table which has 236 fields, which is more than the 220 field limit for web-compatible tables. I have tried to split this table into two tables
    with a one-to-one relationship, but web tables can only use lookups as relationships. I've tried to connect the tables with a lookup and then synthesize a one-to-one relationship by using data macros but I'm not having much luck.
    I realize that 236 fields is a lot, but it must be set up this way because each field represents a tasks and is a yes/no box to verify that the task has been completed - and the records are different employees for whom which the tasks need to be completed.
    Could someone please help me figure out a way to make this table web compatible?
    Thank you,
    Ryan

    i have created a excel workbook  format in data integrator and defined the fields in it, when i tried to run a simple job extracting data from spreadsheet ,  i am getting following error OLE or COM Processing error : <Too many fields defined>.
    all i have in the spreadsheet is 18 rows and 35 columns of data, can any help how to solve this problem. i have used query transform for extracting and loading the data in to a table
    Edited by: Rakesh Chittineni on Apr 1, 2010 3:45 AM

    I have Solved the problem my friend suggestion.
    The excel file i was trying to access is from WEBI report which was saved as .xls format and then then made some modifications to the spreadsheet.
    What i did was i deleted the unused columns, i.e my spread sheet has data upto AQ column so i deleted remaining cells.
    and while  defining the  excel file format i selected the option workbook and selected the proper sheet and in the other options i have chosen column range and also check the box ( extended range) now i could over come the error OLE or COM processing error

  • Mapping too many fields can cause load on the system?

    Hi Experts,
    I have a question about a mapping .. I am mapping an IDOC to a web-service. The Web-service structure is having the exact same structure as the idoc, but all the fields are not necessary. But the Owner of the web-service is requesting me to map all fields even though it is not required. So my question is ,Will this unwanted field mappings can create an overload/burden on xi system ? I am getting the idoc from an R/3 system  and then I use a BPM to send it to web-service to send the invoice to ORACLE ERP and the response I am getting is used to update the status of IDOC in R/3. Your thoughts on this please..
    Thanks

    Hi,
    normally a standard mapping (I guess graphical) which is 1:1 will definetely not cause any performace issues! Sometimes negative effects are experienced with very complex mappings and many transformations, calculations, value-based actions, etc. Even XSLTs and large mssages could be a problem, because each time the whole message is read. In such cases JAVA mappings may help.
    But your case all should be fine ;o)

  • Too many fields - how to print horizontal on page 2?

    Working in CR  Developer V11.  We have a report that has bunch of fields in the group footer and was wondering if there was a way to print the fields two pages wide.  Right now all the fields are stacked but we prefer the 'excel' effect where horizontal fields automatically (or by design in CR) are printed onto a second page at print time.  This report is not a cross tab report.  Can I throw the fields into a subreport and mark repeat on Horizontal pages?  Any input appreciated.
    Rick

    Hi Rick,
    With CR11 you can't.  In 2008 and higher there is the option to "Dissociate Formatting Page Size and Pritner Paper Size".  This will allow you to format your report as wide as you want and not be tied the the printer's paper sizes.
    I've had reports that had 130 columns and I had to go down to point 2 font to get them all onto 1 line.  Now I don't have to and exporting to Excel works like a charm.
    Good luck,
    Brian

  • Unable to create virtual folder. Too many folders

    Hi,
    We are getting this error while trying to create new folder in UCM (even trying directly from UCM throws same error)
    oracle.stellent.ridc.protocol.ServiceException: Unable to create virtual folder. Too many folders
    Has anyone experienced this? If yes, please let us know how you resolved it.
    Thanks!

    You don't "store" anything in contribution folders. They are just webdav access points. I recommend zero folders personally.
    If you want to upload files using webdav, then I suggest using one staging folder, where files can enter the system. When the document is workflowed and/or verified, it is moved out of the folder. It's more likely however that you'll need a few access points for various types of content as each folder enforces specific metadata.
    Now I imagine you are after a way to store all the HR bits and pieces of one person together as a unit. Some people use Content Folios. Personally, I'd just use a metadata field that contains the ContentID of the person's master record. Any new content for that person just gets the master ContentID stamped on it. Just search for that ContentID to get all their stuff.
    Regarding best practices, there are lots of quality blogs floating around. Stellent/Oracle don't talk about best practice because each system is used by their clients in a unique way... well, that's what they say.

  • A function in a subquery is call too many times.

    Dear all,
    I'm struggling to understand why a function in a subquery is called too many times.
    Let me explain with an example:
    create or replace function all_emp (v_deptno in number)
    return varchar2
    as
    v_all_emp varchar2(2000);
    begin
        dbms_output.put_line ('function called');
        for i in (select * from emp where deptno = v_deptno) loop
            v_all_emp := v_all_emp || i.ename || '; ';
        end loop;
    return v_all_emp;
    end;
    -- running just the subquery, calls the function all_emp only 4 times (once for each row in table dept)
    select
        d.deptno,
        d.dname,
        all_emp(d.deptno) f_all_emp
        from dept d;
    -- running the whole query, using regexp to split the value of f_all_emp into separate fields, causes that function all_emp is called 28 times, thus 6 times for each row!!
    select tmp.*,
    regexp_substr(f_all_emp,'[^;]*',1,1) emp1,
    regexp_substr(f_all_emp,'[^;]*',1,3) emp2,
    regexp_substr(f_all_emp,'[^;]*',1,5) emp3,
    regexp_substr(f_all_emp,'[^;]*',1,7) emp4,
    regexp_substr(f_all_emp,'[^;]*',1,9) emp5,
    regexp_substr(f_all_emp,'[^;]*',1,11) emp6
    from
        (select
        d.deptno,
        d.dname,
        all_emp(d.deptno) f_all_emp
        from dept d) tmp
    ;I don't understand why Oracle is calling my function 28 times in this example, 4 times should be sufficient.
    Is there a way to force that the subquery is materialized first?
    Little background:
    Above function / query is of course a simple example.
    Actually I have pretty complex function, embedding in a subquery.
    The subquery is already slow (2 min to run), but when I want to split the result of the funciton in multiple (approx 20) fields it's over an hour due to above described behaviour.

    Optimizer merges in-line view and query results in:
    select  d.deptno,
            d.dname,
            all_emp(d.deptno) f_all_emp
            regexp_substr(all_emp(d.deptno),'[^;]*',1,1) emp1,
            regexp_substr(all_emp(d.deptno),'[^;]*',1,3) emp2,
            regexp_substr(all_emp(d.deptno),'[^;]*',1,5) emp3,
            regexp_substr(all_emp(d.deptno),'[^;]*',1,7) emp4,
            regexp_substr(all_emp(d.deptno),'[^;]*',1,9) emp5,
            regexp_substr(all_emp(d.deptno),'[^;]*',1,11) emp6
      from  dept d
    /That's why function is called 28 times. We can see it from explain plan:
    SQL> explain plan for
      2  select tmp.*,
      3          regexp_substr(f_all_emp,'[^;]*',1,1) emp1,
      4          regexp_substr(f_all_emp,'[^;]*',1,3) emp2,

  • Too many table columns

    Hi,
    I have to create a pdf with a table having multiple columns.
    But the table has too many columns to fit in a A4 page.
    I do not wan to change the paper type. I have to use A4 paper only.
    Is there a way in which I can show the table records in two consecutive rows..
    so that I can split the columns into two rows.
    There will be two header rows... and two data rows (only data rows will repeat)
    data row1 will have data from say fields 1 to 10 and data row 2 will have data from fields 11 to 20.
    Regards
    Reema.

    As far as I know there's probably no way ID is going to do what you want.
    You can place a table across a multiple page spread, but the odds of being able to do that and still keep the file printable are marginal, at best. You can't for example, leave blank space at the gutters unless you are able to add a blank column that spans the gutter, and the limt for multipage spreads is 10 pages wide, whcih doesn't sound like it's probably enough to hold almost 600 columns.
    Perhaps placing the table using named ranges of appropriate widths would work...

  • Too many lines for CO-PA assessment postings in KSB1

    Hi Experts,
    I created an assessment cycle in KEU1, with one segment, using an PA transfer structure (several cost elements to several value fields), and I´m using one single secondary cost element (category 42) to credit the cost centers.
    When I execute the assessment via KEU5, the credits in the cost centers for the cost element category 42 generates too many lines (for example, I had 3 postings to 3 primary cost elements and in KSB1 I have 9 lines of "credits" - operation KSPA.):
    Primary Cost Elements:
    4110201004  ==> 3.000,00
    4110209009  ==> 2.000,00
    4110209013  ==> 1.000,00
    Secondary cost element (after settlement through KEU5):
    6519999999 ==> 134,36-
                                198,92-
                                190,49-
                                291,54-
                                548,27-
                                311,88-
                                2.659,89-
                                1.268,02-
                                396,63-
    Do you know how can I summarize this postings to have only 3 (ore one) line for the secondary cost element? I cannot identify what was the criteria used by SAP to generate 9 lines.
    Kind Regards
    Mayumi

    the number of line item crediting the cost centre, shall be the same of the line item required in the COPA posting. So the more receiver you have in COPA , the more line item are created.

    Hello Sadiq,
    I agree with the previous post, I'm afraid there is no quick fix for this, especially since we cannot see all of these red entries.
    If your errors are purely in memory management on SAP side, you should consider posting in the CST "memory management" part of this forum
    Advise from a DB2 perspective is to make sure that all memory specific setting are correct as per note:
    899322    DB6: DB2 9.1 Standard Parameter Settings
    After setting these parmeters and carrying out further fine tuning yourself, you should consider scheduling an early watch session from SAP.
    Best of luck,
    Paul

  • Runtime Error - DBIF_RSQL_INVALID_RSQL - Too many OPEN CURSOR

    When I try to train a Decision Tree Model via an APD process in RSANWB, I get a runtime error when my model is configured with too many parameter fields or too many leaves (with 2 leaves it works, with more it fails).
    By searching SAP Notes I see that there are many references to this kind of runtime errors. But no note on occurences of it in RSANWB / RSDMWB .
    Any information on this anyone?
