can anyone give the Trace files path.
My SAP is working on AIX.
Advace thanks
Kishore
Hi Krishna
The ST12 traces are stored in Database unlike ST05 SQL trace.
For detailed information on the same, please refer SAP note number 755977, which states same with complete information.
Hope this helps.
If yes, please reward points.

Hi, everybody!
Can somebody explain, is there any chance of getting file
path working with FileReferenceList?
This is the code:
var listener
bject = new Object();
listener.onSelect = function(fileRefList:FileReferenceList) {
trace("onSelect");
var arr:Array = fileRefList.fileList;
for(var i:Number = 0; i < arr.length; i++) {
trace("name: " + arr
.name);
I copied this code from Flash8 Documentation.
I can get here only file name.
Any different solution is also very acceptable.
Thanks.I have the same problem i tried looking at the filereference
interface file no clues there ill be keeping an eye out for a
solution the only one i could think of was returning the values
from php by saving them to a database when the fileis uploaded but
this just isnt as good because its not fully local -

Hi,
I am trying to log in, with the user name and password... I am not able to log in to server...
Main issue is the database is not created as per standard path... I want to find the trace files in unix... How it is possible..
Thanks and Regards..If you are able to login to database then check what is the value for these parameters where the trace file is created (user_dump_dest, background_dump_dest, db_recovery_file_dest)
Also use the unix 'find' command to search for the alert log file and .trc files.

Too many trace files generated by program ORACLE.EXE (J001) in "bdump"
Hi,
Please help!
the following trace file messages have been created in my "bdump" folder about every 6 minutes, so it generates about 200 files per hours. Can someone tell me how to solve the error or stop the trace files be generated. Thanks.

Did this just start?
If so what actions preceded it?
Or is this a new install?
Have you tried bouncing the instance?

How to identify which trace file is your backup controlfile trace in udump
I have a 10.2.0.3 database on unix.
I want to setup a job to run a script every night to backup the controlfile as text format.
such as "alter database backup controlfile to trace".
How my script can identify which trace file is the one just created for backup controlfile and copy the file to a backup disk?
Thanks a lot!I thought it's
alter database backup controlfile to trace as 'absolute path of any file where you want the control file in clear text format ';
for ex. in Windows..
alter database backup controlfile to trace as *'c:\temp\create_ORCL_control.sql'*;
This way you will know where your job is going to backup controlfile to trace -
Changing trace file name giving odd results - 10.2.0.2
Hello,
I'm trying to run a trace on a particular session. Using this:
execute dbms_monitor.session_trace_enable(122, 58)
It creates a tracefile in udump just fine. I turn tracing off:
execute dbms_monitor.session_trace_disable(122, 58)
Then the trace usually catches the next sql statement after I issued the disable and I've got a complete trace file.
If I use the statement:
alter session set tracefile_identifier = 'TEST';
With or without quotes, what ends up happening is the tracefile is created with TEST tacked onto the end but what's inside the file is the full path to the file itself, no trace. The previous trace file before setting the identifier then gets all the trace output. This is on Red Hat. After this the only way to get tracing to work again is to close both sessions and start over.
Am I forgetting to set another parameter when doing this? The litteral set of steps is:
-open session 1
-open session 2
-session 1 run alter session set tracefile_identifier = 'TEST';
-session 1 run execute dbms_monitor.session_trace_enable(122, 58)
-session 2 run some sql
-session 1 run execute dbms_monitor.session_trace_disable(122, 58)
-session 2 run another sql statement
-check the udump for the trace file
Now the ultimate goal here is to be able to tag a trace with a name so I can trace a specific session (made by an application) and then find it later in udump. If the tracefile_id needs to be set in the offending session...well then I need another solution.
ThanksOnce the session starts writing to the trace file it
is going to write to the same file until the session
is closed.
Until the session is closed...aaahhhh gotcha. Well that explains that.
I tried the above with a new session and immediately set the identifier and got the same result, except it created the default trace file name as well as the new identifier copy with the path in it.
The logon trigger might be a workaround but it's not killing me at the moment. -
Obtaining the full file path specification from Flash Movie and QuickTime icons?
How do you obtain the full file path specification from Flash
Movie and QuickTime icons? I want the path and the file name that
is contained in these icons. I am using a "dive" to run through the
icons of a file, and when I come upon these two types of icons, I
want to obtain the above information that is contained in them. I
certainly can look in the property dialog box to get this info, but
there are many icons in these files, and I want to generate a list
of info based upon the various types of icons that I am processing.

I am trying to generate a trace file from a piece of code executed by java server. What I asked the java developer to do is to place this block immediately after establishing a connection:
BEGIN
EXECUTE IMMEDIATE 'ALTER SESSION SET TRACEFILE_IDENTIFIER = ''M1''';
dbms_monitor.session_trace_enable(waits => FALSE, binds => TRUE);
END;And at the end of the logical java block of code:
BEGIN
dbms_monitor.session_trace_disable;
END;What I want to know is how many rows the java server fetches after executing one particular select statement, because they complain about receiving less in count rows from the select statement than expecting.
For example, if I execute the same sql query in sqlplus session, then I fetch let's say 1000 rows.
When the same query is executed from java side, the fetched rows are less in count, let's say 500.
And because I doubt it, I wanted to trace to see what actually is executed and how.
From the excerpt of the trace file I see exactly the same query which I execute myself in a sqplus session.
There is no fine-grained control on the udnerlying tables in the query.
And my question is, how to interpret the FETCH phase of the cursor (for the select statement)?
For example, if I see one FETCH for this cursor, does this mean that the java server has fetched only one row?
If I see 100 FETCHes, does this mean they fetched 100 rows from the cursor?
Here is a short excerpt from the trace file (please don't crucify me for the query and the obvious denormalized design of the tables, this is not invented by me):

I read the traces into a table from the client from which I log and then read from the table If you can copy the content of the table column you are reading and paste it into a file say : your_trace_name.trc file then you can use this to generate a TKPROF trace fiile
C:\>tkprof your_trace_file.trc your_trace_file.txt
TKPROF: Release 10.2.0.3.0 - Production on Mon Mar 11 15:28:13 2013

rows/Fetch = arraysizeFew details about interpreting TKRPOF exist here

Mode 4 (S) TX locks can have a few causes, including ITLs, unique indexes and bitmap indexes.
It could be a very similar scenario to this recent thread where the situation was primary/unique key collisions from inserts on different nodes:
Re: Cause of Deadlock -
EDI X12 scenario,deq.bat file not generating any trace file.
hello,
i have worked on the EDI X12 over internet(AS2) Transaction,everything is working fine until the creation and deployment of configurations on both Acme and GlobalChips servers.But During the Verification of Purchase Order Transactions when i am running deq.bat file on both Acme and GlobalChips servers the dq script is not generating any t1.trc trace file.
There is no problem with the Trading Partners on both servers they are on upstate,can anyone help me with this issue please,its very urgent.
note: where will be the web.xml file for transportServlet located,can anyone provide me with the file path.
thnx
sunnyHello Sinkar,
Thanks for your reply,Finally i have managed resolve the issue(deq.bat file is generating t1.trc file) successfully.But there are certain other issues regarding this topic in which i need your help.
When i am running the deq.bat file in command prompt on both acme and globalchips servers it is showing the following status
D:\oracle\OraJ2EE\ip\tutorial\X12\runtime>deq.bat
D:\oracle\OraJ2EE\ip\tutorial\X12\runtime>java oracle.tip.adapter.b2b.data.IPDeq
ueue ipdequeue.properties
IPDequeue start...
Dequeue from IP_IN_QUEUE
and it also generated a t1.trc file on both servers,but the prompt in which i have run deq.bat is not giving any further message
i.e some thing like IPDequeue end.
and not even coming back to the original path i.e
D:\oracle\OraJ2EE\ip\tutorial\X12\runtime>
and even if close the prompt it is not showing anything in t1.trc file and if i am running the enq_850.bat in acme server it is showing following stat
D:\oracle\OraJ2EE\ip\tutorial\X12\runtime>enq_850.bat
D:\oracle\OraJ2EE\ip\tutorial\X12\runtime>java oracle.tip.adapter.b2b.data.IPEnq
ueue enq_850.properties
IPEnqueue start...
IPEnqueue end.
D:\oracle\OraJ2EE\ip\tutorial\X12\runtime>
and its didn't showing anything in the t1.trc file generated on the globalchips server and same thing is happening when i am running enq_855.bat file on the globalchips server its not showing up anything in the trace file generated on the acme server.
I have tried one thing that u have suggested for such kind of issue(t1.trc empty) in your forums
1.) I have applied the patch #6673231 and it is showing the Document Routing Id Field in the B2B UI,but when i am completing all the process in B2B UI and running deq.bat file the result is still the same,the IPDequeue is not ending
But a certain change has taken place after applying the pat
D:\oracle\OraJ2EE\ip\tutorial\X12\runtime>java oracle.tip.adapter.b2b.data.IPEnq+
ueue enq_850.properties+
IPEnqueue start...+
Action Name = null
IPEnqueue end.+
D:\oracle\OraJ2EE\ip\tutorial\X12\runtime>+
C:\oracle\OraJ2EE\ip\tutorial\X12\runtime>enq_855.bat+
C:\oracle\OraJ2EE\ip\tutorial\X12\runtime>java oracle.tip.adapter.b2b.data.IPEnq+
ueue enq_855.properties+
IPEnqueue start...+
Action Name = null
IPEnqueue end.+
C:\oracle\OraJ2EE\ip\tutorial\X12\runtime>+
I Think that no action is taking place in both the cases
bcoz its showing this Action Name = null+
if that is the case what is the problem here
I have also set oracle.tip.adapter.b2b.DocumentRouting=true.
but the situation is still the same,please read the above problem carefully and suggest a solution which would be fruitful for my further progress.
thanks
sunny

Trace file not Generated.
Hey Guys,
I am using oracle 10g and trying to generate a trace file.
Using sql_Plus I can see that timed_statistics is set to true, max_dump_file_size is set to unlimited, and user_dump_dest is set to C:\ORACLE\PRODUCT\10.2.0\ADMIN\ORCL\DUMP.
In Oracle SQL Developer I am running the script:
alter session set sql_trace = true;
... PL/SQL block that I want to trace...
alter session set sql_trace = false;
After this sql runs without error there is no file on my computer at the user_dump_dest. In fact the path under user_dump_dest does not even exist. Do I have to create the path first? Am I looking in the wrong location? Am I doing something wrong when setting sql_trace?
Thanks,
IanIn fact the path under user_dump_dest does not even exist.Perhaps this is the source of the mystery.
If Oracle has no place to actually write the file, how should it proceed?
as a proof of concept do the following
ALTER SESSION SET SQL_TRACE=TRUE;
show parameter dump
SELECT SYSDATE FROM DUAL;
ALTER SESSION SET SQL_TRACE=FALSE;
now find the trace file
post results from session above

Interpreting Trace File.
Hi i am using 10.2.0.4.0 version of oracle.
I am having trace file info as below, for one of the query. So how should i interpret the trace file? What is the issue in the query, and the scope of improvement in the query? please note that , i have removed the query and its plans from the trace file, i have only posted the wait sections.
