I am not expert in Adobe Captivate but I was inquired by a possible customer if we would be able to track presentations and trainings, like capturing for example when the user viewed it, time taken, get some text field inputs, quiz results, etc. In summary, they want to have a database with user behavior, statistics, etc. Reading the documentation I still don't have conclusive answers to these questions:
1) Is it possible to define events (Advanced Actions?) and send information back to a server when it triggers? For example, the user finished a quiz and the result is sent to a server on the Internet via a Web Service our even a URL with parameters (e-mail is not viable).
2) If this is not available, is it possible to capture these while playing the presentation inside a Adobe Flex application some how ? Cue points?.
3) Can custom, hidden AS3 Widgets do this perhaps?
If someone can point me to a paper or documentation I appreciate.

Hi Mauricio,
With the level of detail of tracking that your customer want you are much better off by deploying the course in an LMS. That would take care of most of the tracking issues. There are many free LMS's available as open source so you could just use one of those. The Moodle LMS is a popular choice, but as long as the LMS is SCORM compliant it doesn't really matter much in my opinion.
As for your questions:
1) I don't think this approach would be possible.
2) This would be possible. If you have a Flex or Flash shell you are able to access the Captivate system variables and then do whatever you want with them. I doubt that you would be able to get the text field inputs, but other than that you can get pretty much everything you want.
3) Same as number 2. Yes it would be possible.
There is an article on Adobe Developernet describing how you "hack" the email functionality of Captivate in order to store the data in a database. Perhaps you could get something out of this: http://www.adobe.com/devnet/captivate/articles/store_cpresults.html
Other than that I am not aware of any documentation in relation to this subject.
I myself am working on a Flash / PHP solution to authenticate users in Flash and store their progress, score etc. but I just started so can't really share anything with you.

New business scenario for reapir from customer and sending them to vendor.

We have a scenario where we need to configure in the system -
We recieve a material from my customer for repair.We need to send this to my vendor who will repair it and send them back to Us. On this we recieve revenue from the customer and pay i pay half amount my vendor for the service.
We are following above scenario in SAP as
In the first step
The production team create a serviece order in IW31 for the material that need to send to the vendor, which was recieved from the customer. When service order is created in the back end a Purchase requisition is created.
In next step we created a PO w.r.f to the above PR and we need to send this to vendor on subcontracting so that we can track the material from him after the repair.
The problem is --- When PR is created automatically during serviece order creation (iw31) we are unable to create Po with Item category L (subcontracting) because PR is not created with L.We are even unable to change L in PR since it is created automatically at the background.We ried to change the field at document type in spro. But no luck.
Pls let us know is there any other business process where we can handle this situation or any technical help to change the PR.

It can be done Using PM02 and PM03 control keys. Select the operation row select the External button in the bottom u will find Sub con check box u can click it .The prerequisities are create a material BOM in the bom as L item select a row and click the item which will be near to the header cap 2nd tab status/long text click it .Mat. Provision Ind select Lor X if it is not available go to IMG setting.Plant maintenance ->Master Data in Plant Maintenance and Customer Service->Bills of Material->Item Data->Define Material Provision Indicators, K&L will be standrad create S Rework Material,XRework Material from Subcontrmake a tick mark in Recursivity of Subcontracting Component and save it . while creating the material to the operation to be assigned from bom then in the component select the row go to the general button in the bottom then Mat. Prov. Ind will be there select rework material the system allows you to proceed further . save the order then check the PR it will be Account assignment will be F and Item categeory will be L selected automatically.
Then create PO then do MB1b (prerequsitie the material should have stock)using PO reference( movement type 541) the it will be moved to the vendor stock (check with mmbe)
Aganist PO Material sent to the vendor .While doing Goods Recipt do with MB01with movement type 101, now u can check the stock in mmbe it will be in storage location...

Does your email provider have a limit on the total file size allowed on their server? It could be that emails with photos send in the past are still on your email server. They might even be in the servers trash folder. If the total MB of those emails exceeds the amount allowed then no additional emails can be received. Try using a web mail page to check and edit what's on the email server.

I did have to stop in at Verizon (where I bought my iPhone) to find out why I did not have a choice to choose Facebook with the export icon. The tech had to go into my setting and enable Facebook to recognize my iPhone. When I upgraded to iso7 somehow it could not recognize Facebook. It would be better if you could connect the two Macs via a hard wired LAN to copy the library from the Mac Pro to the MacBook. Wireless connections can have momentary dropouts which could affect the reliable copying of files.
If you do go with Air Drop be sure to open and inspect the copied library closely to confirm it was a successulf copy.

OK, here's the explanation. When you take a picture, the iPhone knows what orientation it is in (portrait, landscape, etc.) and adds that information to the picture's EXIF data so it knows which side is up. Apple devices can decode this information and show the picture right side up when it is viewed. However, Windows computers cannot do this. They are not capable of decoding the orientation information added by the iPhone, so they are displayed in a default orientation (which may not be right side up).
This only happens on Windows machines, and unfortunately there is nothing you can do about it, except use the rotation buttons in Windows picture view to orient the photo correctly.

Difference between auxiliary track volume and send/bus

I'm trying to take it easy on my laptop so I started using AUX tracks for compressors, eqs, etc. that I have on multiple tracks. However, I have a few questions.
When I add an aux track, it is added at -∞. I guess I don't completely understand its function. What is the difference between me pulling this up to 0 or changing the volumes in my original track?
With that in mind, I'm assuming (maybe wrongly) that if I want the full effect/volume to be sent that I set the send to 0 also (the little green circle that I pull up next to the send button).
Am I wrong in any of my logic? I'm just trying to figure out how this all affects volume and what not and what values to set these things at. I had my mix set at individual volumes that I liked. However, when I switched my tracks from all having an individual plug-in to sending them all to a bus, the volumes changed, even when I set the send and the aux track volume to 0.
I know I'm wrong somewhere here! I just don't know where! Can you guys help and point me to a fix and better understanding? Thank you.

Yes these are the methods with one note ony !
In the 1st picture the chennel strip sends are routed to Bus 1 - so far so good. But what I see is that you have inserted an EQ on the system Aux which is not so good. In this scenario the chanel strip audio path is dubplicated (one is passing thru the channel strip out 1-2 and the other is splited thru the channel strip Send Knob->Bus->Aux-> Out 1-2 so you EQ the Send path only - OK?
In this scenario you can insert Reverb, Delay, Chorus etc and use them as calssical system FX so the duplicated "send" path just adds some system FX (note the Aux FX plugin must be set to 100% Wet) so you add wet signal to the dry path. You can correct your 1st setup and insert Reveb for instance. After that you can control the reverb abount for each channel strip using the channel strip send knob(s) (currently they all are set to 0dB).
When you want to use say an EQ or Compressor etc then your second setup is OK ! In the second picture you have grouped the chanel strip outputs to one bus/aux so all inserted plugins there will behave as Group "Insert" ones (no duplicated paths here). The second setup is used with say violin, vocal winds group summed to an Aux where you want to EQ, Compress, Pan … the whole group etc.

My question is mostly about the concept of LCR (logical change recortds in Oracle Streams)
I want to extract any DML script which has been applied to one specific table, but i don't want to apply this DML anywhere , I just want to send it over by AQ in oracle and then
the MQ queues in IBM will recieve it.
I don't know what the Mainframe guys are going to do with it but my task is to just send them the script?
Do you think it's possible using the LCRs?

I had implemented such a setup few months back and it works fine except for some performance issues.
you'll need to implement oracle streams and oracle messaging gateway for this propagation.
below mentioned are the generalized steps:
>>capture changes from redo log for the table by creating a capture process.
>>store these messages in the staging area of advanced queues, which in turn are queues themselves.
>>use apply process to enqueue these messages onto messaging gateway queue.
>>the messages can be transported to Websphere MQ by creating propagation jobs, foreign queue links, messaging gateway agents etc.

You can't. The iPhone doesn't actually store all your emails anyway. It is showing you what is on the server directly.
Only the most recently accessed emails are cached (stored temporarily) on your phone for access when you are offline. If you delete an email from your iPhone, you are actually deleting it from the server.

Not really because the format is an odd size and when you save it as a pdf file there's a white border around the card.
There are 2 tutorials on how to print them yourself if you have a 3rd party image editor that supports layers or Pages from iWork: iP06 - Printing a iPhoto Greeting Card and iP07 - Printing a iPhoto Greeting Card to Standard Stock Sizes. Apple has made it difficult to print them borderless unless the card color is the same as the card stock.

we are generating payext Idocs to a bank partner profile using rffoedi1 program. Our requirement is to replicate the same payext IDoc and send to another logical system using a different partner profile.
I have a rough idea of sucking data from EDID4 table....
Can any one let me know how the code looks like If we have to create same IDocs again with different control record with same kind of data?
can some one throw their ideas of doing this with less development work?

Try this way:-->
1.Using fm IDOC_READ_COMPLETELY get complete data of IDoc you want to send, then change the Header record (EDIDC) with new partner profile, port and other values
2. Pass these values to fm MASTER_IDOC_DISTRIBUTE.
(pl remember to clear EDIDS values before calling above said fm)
This will send your IDoc to new destination
