Trade-in problem at store 552

Hello. I have problem trade-in my tablet under the current "Get a guaranteed minimum $50 gift card" promotion.
I went to store 552 on 6/20 with a like-new 1st gen Kindle fire. I was told the trade-in must include cable and charger. The lady at customer service assured me that a working cable and a charger of any brand are fine.
When I brought the tablet with a working Samsung cable and charger on 6/26, they asked for the original Kindle branded cable and charge, and declined the trade-in. They also told me my tablet worth 0 dollar in their system so they can only recycle it as no value. I did talk to the manager but he gave the same expalination.
I appeciate if you can give some advise.
Solved!

Hello petervivian,
Welcome to the forums!
Thank you for posting in regards to our current $50 trade-in promotion for tablets. It’s quite concerning to me that you may have ran into a few obstacles while trying to take advantage of this promotion. Furthermore, I’m very sorry for any frustration your visits to our West Kendell location have caused.
We recently had another customer with a similar issue, and I believe I know why there may have been some confusion. The original Kindle Fire, to my knowledge, only came with a USB cable for charging purposes, not an actual wall charger. With that said, that USB cable alone should be sufficient when trading it in via this promotion. If you have that cable, and your tablet meets the other requirements of the promotion seen here, then you should be eligible to receive the $50 Best Buy gift card.
Since the promotion ends today, I would suggest returning to the store and having them take another look at this. If needed, please request a manager and explain the situation to them as they should be able to assist.
Thanks again for posting, and I hope you have a more positive result during your next visit!

  • Problem with store ResultSet and show result in table

    Hi, I'm kind of new in ADF, I need to store ResultSet and show result in table-component. I have two problems:
    1) I get my ResultSet by calling callStoredProcedure(...) and this returns actually ref_cursor as ResultSet.
    When I try to println() contains of this result set in this method - it works OK (commented part),
    but when I want to println() somewhere else (eg. in retrieveRefCursor() method) it doesn't work.
    The problem is that the scrollability of the ResultSet is lost - it becomes a TYPE_FORWARD_ONLY ResultSet.
    Is there any way to store data from ref_cursor for a long time?
    2) My second problem is "store any result set and show this data in table". I have tried use method storeNewResultSet() but
    without result (table contains only "No rows yet" and everything seems to be OK - no exception, no warning, no error...).
    I have tried to call this method with ResultSet from select on dbs (without resultSet as ref_cursor ) - no result with createRowFromResultSet(),
    storeNewResultSet(), setUserDataForCollection()...
    I've tried a lot of ways to do this, but it doesn't work. I really don't know how to make it so it can work.
    Thanks for your help.

    My apple keyboard had some problems, the store replaced it for me. I had to sign in to my computer, and couldn't get to pair the keyboard with the computer, as could not sign in. I know there is a command that lets you override this, does anyone know which buttons to  press.  I gather when you do this, a box comes up and pairs the two with a number you have to type in.

        danamd89,
    Great question. We can understand wanting to get your money right away. If you go into the store and you trade in your iPhone and purchase a new iPhone that is in stock you will receive the gift card immediately. If you do it online before 9/30 you will have to ship the device after you receive your new iPhone and then you will get a gift card in 4-6 weeks.

  • Safari 8 problem, App Store problem, Adobe creative cloud signing In

    Hello All,
    I would really appreciate if you could help me out solve the following problems in my iMac 3.4 GHz Intel core i7!
    Safari:
    I recently upgraded to OS X Yosemite version 10.10 and since that time, i am facing a lot of problems with Safari.. sometimes it's working correctly and other times it is (freezing, not responding and the wheel keeps turning until the force quitting) snapshot attached for freezing)
    App Store:
    The problem with App store, the App store fail to start and if opened the window is inactive and in grey color and and says Cannot Connect to App store (snapshot attached)
    Adobe creative cloud
    Whenever i have problems in my iMac, i face signing in problem with Adobe creative cloud.. The wheel keeps turning (snapshot attached)
    Just to mention the steps i tried to solve these problems:
    - Reinstalled the OS X Yosemite 3 times.
    - Restart my computer constantly.
    - Clear caches in Safari..
    None of them worked permanently!
    Any suggest from your side!
    Thank you

    Please read this whole message before doing anything.
    This procedure is a test, not a solution. Don’t be disappointed when you find that nothing has changed after you complete it.
    Step 1
    The purpose of this step is to determine whether the problem is localized to your user account.
    Enable guest logins* and log in as Guest. Don't use the Safari-only “Guest User” login created by “Find My Mac.”
    While logged in as Guest, you won’t have access to any of your documents or settings. Applications will behave as if you were running them for the first time. Don’t be alarmed by this behavior; it’s normal. If you need any passwords or other personal data in order to complete the test, memorize, print, or write them down before you begin.
    Test while logged in as Guest. Same problem?
    After testing, log out of the guest account and, in your own account, disable it if you wish. Any files you created in the guest account will be deleted automatically when you log out of it.
    *Note: If you’ve activated “Find My Mac” or FileVault, then you can’t enable the Guest account. The “Guest User” login created by “Find My Mac” is not the same. Create a new account in which to test, and delete it, including its home folder, after testing.
    Step 2
    The purpose of this step is to determine whether the problem is caused by third-party system modifications that load automatically at startup or login, by a peripheral device, by a font conflict, or by corruption of the file system or of certain system caches.
    Please take this step regardless of the results of Step 1.
    Disconnect all wired peripherals except those needed for the test, and remove all aftermarket expansion cards, if applicable. Start up in safe mode and log in to the account with the problem. You must hold down the shift key twice: once when you turn on the computer, and again when you log in.
    Note: If FileVault is enabled in OS X 10.9 or earlier, or if a firmware password is set, or if the startup volume is a software RAID, you can’t do this. Ask for further instructions.
    Safe mode is much slower to start up and run than normal, with limited graphics performance, and some things won’t work at all, including sound output and Wi-Fi on certain models. The next normal startup may also be somewhat slow.
    The login screen appears even if you usually log in automatically. You must know your login password in order to log in. If you’ve forgotten the password, you will need to reset it before you begin.
    Test while in safe mode. Same problem?
    After testing, restart as usual (not in safe mode) and verify that you still have the problem. Post the results of Steps 1 and 2.

  • Problem with Store.getFolder()

    I'm just writing a little program for my Blackberry Pearl that listens for email messages (in Java) Here is the relevant code:
    public void messagesAdded(FolderEvent e) {
            //Lets get the added message
            Store store = Session.waitForDefaultSession().getStore();
            Folder folder = Store.getFolder("INBOX");
            Message msgs[] = folder.getMessages();
            Message msg = msgs[0];
            //Now lets find out who sent the message
            Address from = msg.getFrom();
            //If the message is from [email protected] then make the phone ring
            if(from.toString().equals("[email protected]")){
               InputStream is = getClass().getResourceAsStream("sound.wav");
               Player p = Manager.createPlayer("http://216.7.189.162/globe/realtones/appliance/phonesring.wav");
                p.start();
            else{
               InputStream is = getClass().getResourceAsStream("sound.wav");
               Player p = Manager.createPlayer("http://216.7.189.162/globe/realtones/appliance/phonesring.wav");
                p.start();
        }So the problem is that when I use Store.getFolder, it says that I can
    t use a non-static method in a static context. But even when I create new classes in new class files that are obviously non-static it still doesn't let me do it. What am i doing wrong?
    Thanks in advance

    Is your program a MIDlet?

  • Lumia 920 / Problem with Store App

    Right after I bought my Lumia 920, a added few applications (viber, instagram, etc.) using store app.
    After few days, everytime I tried to open Store App, or even visit the market page using browser on my device, I got the same message:
    ''Service unavailable at the moment. Check again in a little while.''
    My phone is totally blocked for downloading new Apps. I'm not able to, for example update ''What's Up'' App beacuse it's redirecting me automatically to Store. This haven't been changed for a while, about month or two. I even updated phone regulary once update was available, nothing changed after that. All other stuff is working perfectlly, so I'm not sure what could be the problem.
    Can anyone help?
    Thanks!

    Is everything ok with your Microsoft account? You didn't change your password recently or anything like that? Try logging into your microsoft account just to make sure everything is ok.

    so now i can't download any thing on my lumia and this sucks
    plz help..

    Hi, Adeptbe. Thanks for posting your concern on our community. Does the issue occur regardless of the connection you are using? Does the date and time of your phone are properly setup? Check it by going to Settings>date+time. Also, try checking if the Microsoft account on your phone is syncing properly. Do it by going to Settings>email+accounts>press and hold Microsoft account>sync. If you encounter any error message, you may check it in here: Common Windows Store error codes. Let us know if you need further assistance.

  • Problem to store a oracle sql result into a variable

    Hello everyone,
    I'm working on a little project that use c#, Oracle ODT and asp.net, so here is the thing, I need to save the result of a sequence (SECNUM.NEXTVAL ) into a variable, then call that value from many inserts and querys and for last make the commit. My problem is that I don't know how to convert the string result to a number and the call it from the statements. Always brings two errors, one is invalid number because Im sending a string and the another is that if I comment the line cmd.ExecuteNonQuery(); the script runs but no commit happens.
    This is my code, is attached to a button:
    C# Syntax (Toggle Plain Text)
    string oradb = "Data Source=BBDD;User Id=DEMO;Password=DEMO;";
    string cmd1 = "SELECT SECNUM.NEXTVAL FROM DUAL";
    OracleConnection conn = new OracleConnection(oradb);
    conn.Open();
    OracleParameter parm = new OracleParameter();
    parm.OracleDbType = OracleDbType.Decimal;
    OracleCommand cmd = new OracleCommand();
    cmd.Connection = conn;
    cmd.Parameters.Add(parm);
    cmd.CommandText = "INSERT INTO DEMOINCI (CODINCI, CODCLI) VALUES (('" + cmd1 +"'), 'TEST')";
    cmd.CommandText = "INSERT INTO DEMOINCILIN (CODINCI,CODLIN) VALUES (('" + cmd1 +"'),1)";
    cmd.CommandType = CommandType.Text;
    cmd.ExecuteNonQuery();
    So my problem is that the column CODINCI is a column number of (9) and not a VARCHAR and can not be changed because is already have data, so when I use the code of the example, Oracle return an error saying Invalid number (of course).
    With the help of a friend I tried to put with the cast like this cmd.CommandText = "INSERT INTO DEMOINCI (CODINCI, CODCLI) VALUES (" + "CAST(" + cmd1 + "AS NUMBER), 'TEST')"; and it works but only if I comment the line cmd.ExecuteNonQuery();, so the commit never happend and of course there is no insert in the database.
    ¿It is so difficult to store a result of an SQL into a variable and then call it back on a statement?, on Oracle Forms you create a cursor like cursor=CVAL SELECT SECNUM.NEXTVAL VAL FROM DUAL and that it you can then use the VAL result into all other queries of the same form an retrieving with the :VAL option.
    Thanks for all the help.

    I just had to do something similar for my C# class, using SQL Server. The primary key for a "Customers" table was an auto-incrementing integer. After inserting a new customer I had to retrieve and display the primary key:
    string selectStatement = "SELECT IDENT_CURRENT('Customers') from Customers";
    SqlCommand selectCommand = new SqlCommand(selectStatement, connection);
    int customerID = Convert.ToInt32(selectCommand,ExecuteScalar());
    The ExecuteScalar() method of selectCommand returned the first column of the first row of the dataset, which in this case was the key of the new Customers record, as an object. Convert.ToInt32() converted the key to an integer.
    Once you store SECNUM.NEXTVAL as an integer, you can use it to create a Parameter for the Command object.
    HTH.

  • Problem FTP Stor with iSeries

    Hello,
    Here is my problem. I try desperately to upload the content of a file to an IBM iSeries (AS400) in a java program.
    I have found the way to download the content of a file from iSeries to PC, that's made by the method getFileContent, and it works fine.
    But I cannot upload the content of a text file in my PC to the iSeries and I don't know why. I use for this the
    setFileContent method. The file specified on the iSeries to receive my datas is well created or cleared (if it aready exists), but it stays desperately empty. No data seem to be written in. I have also tried to use the appe command, but it doesn't work anyway.
    Please can someone help me and find what's wrong in my code, and how to do this?

    any problem with using the builtin ftp url abilities in jdk1.5 or any of the available ftp libraries?
    If you have to do it yourself, I would seriously recommend investigating the difference between binary and ascii transfer and not always using the BufferedReader/PrintWriter technique.
    use formatting as described here http://forum.java.sun.com/faq.jsp#format

  • Ace ssl-proxy problem, Online store.

    Hello!
    I have a problem with moving our online store loadbalancing to a Cisco ACE solution from Windows NLB that it runs on now. And also relive the servers from the ssl encrypt and decrypting of sessions.
    The load balancing works', as long the session is Http, but when the "customer" comes to the point that i is going to pay. Our shop is jumping over to HTTPs and this is where the problem appear.
    The "customer" is getting the certificate right but the site is not displayed = the session to the shop seems to die.
    If i have missed something in the config or if someone have any other idea why this dont work for me..
    Appreciate any help!

    Hello Krille
    i had the same problem.
    The HTT Probe you define will do a check if
    the return code is
    expect status 200 200
    expect status 300 323
    Now if a user is accessing the hppts site, in the flow there will be an expect status like 404, the ACE now is not establish an sticky connection, cause it think that the flow is not ok.
    The only output after ther Certificates is a blank site.
    If you change the Probing to ICMP you will be able to access the https site and the connection is sticky. With a litte tool like IE Watch you will be able to see the wrong Status codes.
    regards
    eberhard

    It looks to me that your stores are incorrectly configured, targetted or or just simply messed up. First thing I would do here is check the configuration and targetting of the JDBC Stores and make sure that each JMS server is using it own store and database tables. You may find that it's a really simple thing like creating two sets of tables on the same database, but making sure that they have different prefixes ...

  • Trade in denied at store 6

    I went to the store to use the current trade in promotion for the $50 gift card and $50 crediy towards the samsung tablet. I have a Visual Land Prestige 7Q 7" 8GB Tablet in brand new working condition. I was denied the trade in however i have read on here that I should have been accepted. Please help

    Greetings mplsabdullah, and welcome to the Best Buy forum,
    If your tablet turned on and did not have a cracked screen, then it should have been eligible for the Samsung trade-in offer.  I can understand feeling disappointed if our Inver Grove Heights, MN store did deny your trade-in.  A tablet did not need to be listed within our Trade-in system in-order for us to process the trade-in and issue the $50 Best Buy gift card.  These are definitely details our stores should have been familiar with.
    While the Samsung trade-in offer expired on 9/6/2014, I would like to further discuss your in-store experience and obtain your feedback so that it can be made visible to upper management for future promotional offers.  To check your private messages, you will want to login to the forum and click on the little yellow envelope at the top of the page.
    Thank you for connecting with us.
