Call transaction in user exit?
Hi
can we say "call transaction" in the background?.while using user exit...
regds
gunjanHi Gunjan
I've to consider you ( or your exit) are in trx, so if you need to update some tables or another object don't belong to main trx, you make sure to do the updating only if the main trx is finished successfully.
So it's usually placed the code for updating in a exit called before saving.
But also you make sure the saving is done successfully, SAP usually does the saving in update tusk, so it has to call a COMMIT to start the saving action.
When the COMMIT is called you can be sure the saving'll be done.
So if you run your code in update tusk, you'll be sure your action'll start after saving.
For these reason you should insert your code in a form called in update tusk.
PERFORM UPDATE_MY_DATABASE ON COMMIT.
So only when the system'll do the commit your code'll work.

Payment transaction F110 user exits
Hi,
We are running the FI payment program tcode(F110) to download the payment data using DME engine. We will be using SAP XI 3.0 to send the data from SAPR/3(enterprise edition) to an external system.Instead of downloading the data as a file,we want to send the payment data to XI using ABAP Proxy. This will enable a secure way of sending the data.
Now the question Is there any User exits in the Standard SAP payment program where we can call the ABAP proxy to send the data to XI.The user exit should have access to the payment data before it is downloaded in to the file and obviously it should stop the downloading of the data into file and send data to XI.
If any of the forum members have used user exits in the FI payment program, please share your experience.
Thanks in advance,

Hyperlink in a User Exit for standard transaction?
Hi,
First off, I am a novice in ABAP. After some searching on the forums, I have found out that it is possible to have hyperlinks in an ABAP Programm.
Is it possible to change a standard transaction (through user exits) to add in this sort of functionality? For instance, a link in VA23 to jump to a remote portal? Is it possible? And if yes, could anyone give me an example of how this could be done? Links to documentation or tutorials would also help me.
Could such a functionality be added through a button in the same transaction instead of a simple hyperlink?
Thanks and regards
SameerThe SAP.Web.UI.Controls namespace is a collection of classes that allow you to create controls in an iView. SAP NetWeaver web controls run on the server and include form controls such as buttons, input fields and tables. Because web server controls run on the server, you can programmatically control these elements. SAP NetWeaver controls are more abstract than HTML server controls or Microsoft web controls from the System.Web.UI.WebControls namespace. Their object model does not necessarily reflect HTML or Microsoft web control interfaces. SAP NetWeaver controls reflect the SAP WebDynpro UI elements. They also implement the behaviour of SAP Unified Rendering, which allows custom UI branding by selecting and modifying CSS style sheets. This namespace includes the ViewElement class, which is derived from System.Web.UI.Controls.Control and provides all SAP server controls with a common set of functionality. Therefore you can also mix SAP NetWeaver controls with Miocrosoft web controls within an iView.

Hi,
This is the Scenario :
Version : Bi 7 / Nw04s patch 11.
Source : ECC 6.
1) Virtual Cube V1 based on a generic Data source D1 in ECC or R/3 source system
2) The generic data Source has 10 fields , 7 are from a Standard Table, the 3 are populated during extraction via Transaction data User exit ZRS01*).
3) When I run the extractor checker for Data source D1 in R/3 all the 10 fields are populated.
4) Problem : when I do A list cube in BI on the virtual cube all te data in ECC is seen however the enhanced fields derived in the user exit are coming in as blank.
Any experience on this, whether this is a limitation of I need to create a message with SAP.
Would apreciate any thoughts or experience n this are,
thanks
TCCheck the user exit,if the code has been written to that specific datasource which was meant for the ODS(Watch out for case statements).

Adding Records In The User Exit
I have a requirement to modify the transactional data user exit 0CO_PC_PCP_01. Currently this datasource extracts cost estimate data and using some complex rules I need to determine the active cost estimate for each month and duplicate the records according.
ie if a cost estimate dated 01.01.2005 is valid for all of 2005 then I need to duplicate all corrsponding records 11 times ie one set of additional records per month.
I have created the ABAP code to do this and for small volumes of data it works perfectly. However if I increase the data volume the exit seems to run and run.
The code is as efficient as it can be and there are no database selects within it.
My questions are:
1)is it acceptable to add a high volume of new data in the user exit or should I be looking at an alternative.
2) Does the user exit get called multiple times during a dataload. ie once per datapackage. If so then am I correct in saying it is dangerous to add records this way because some of the records added could already exist and be processed within another datapackage and therefore records would then be duplicated.
3) One approach I have thought of but not yet tested is to use the function module(s) used by the SAP standard extractor to populate a table on R3 and then use a custome datasource to retrieve the data from this table.
Any thoughts/views/answers on the above would be appreciated.
Many thanksSimon,
1. Lets say that the datapacket size is 20000 and all of your records are active. Then when it exits the user exit, the size of the datapacket would be 20000 X 12. that is a very large packet. Probably not a good idea to do this.
2. The user exit will be called for each datapacket. That is correct and yes, it would be wrong to do this in a datapaket. If a record exists in two datapackets, then records are generated for this multiple times.
3. Why are you not considering applying the logic in BW rather than doing it in R/3. That should be relatively easy.
This is how you can do it. When loading the data into BW, load it into an ODS object. Add a new Infoobject to the ODS object (ZACTIVE) for example. In the update rules between infosource and ODS, apply the logic that you are using to determine if each record is active or not. Now from this ODS, load it to either INfoCube or ODS, wherver you want to. In the update rules between the two, you can use the "return table" to generate multiple records where ZACTIVE = true, or you can generate in the start routine instead.
By doing this you emilinate the case of generating duplicate records.
Hope that helps.

User exit EXIT_SAPMGMU_001
Hi,
I created a project using the enlargement MGA00001 and the include ZXMG0U02. In the include i have a condition with WMVKE-VTWEG. When i try to add a material in the transaction MM01, if i give a value to VTWEG (Distribution chanel) in the transaction (screen - Organizational Levels) , this value is not present all the time in my include in WMVKE-VTWEG. If i fill in data on the screen Sales Org., wmvke-vtweh is loaded, otherwise not. I would like that field to be valorized anyway.
Any opinion?
Thank you.Dear,
the user exit "EXIT_SAPLM61O_001" was replaced from release 4.7 by the BADI MD_PLDORD_BOMEX_CIF.
Exists an Implmentierungen of the user exit "EXIT_SAPLM61O_001" so it is unfortunately necessary to deactivate the existing implementation and then to copy the tail code in an implementation of the BADI.
Please take the details for that into account from the attached note 885864 which replaces the note 693043 in this context. The source code user exit remains in this case unchanged - this is in the corresponding function modules.
You should have the case, that you are listed in the extension M61X0001 among the components in the Transaction SMOD the component EXIT_SAPLM61O_001, so I do not have unfortunately any explanation for that. If, however, no source code is available from the note 693043 on your system and the function module EXIT_SAPLM61O_001 is either not available on your system, I ask you the itinerary to work, the extension to open about the SMOD in the change mode and to remove the component EXIT_SAPLM61O_001.
The component EXIT_SAPLM61O_001 should be on an ECC 6.0 system not part of the extension M61X0001

Hi all,
Please tell me what you have coded as user-exit.
Tell me the transaction and what you have done for this transaction as user-exit.
I want to learn the user exit topic well.
I will need user-exit too much and use also user-exit's screen but do not know how to do well.
Thanks.Hi
User exits (Function module exits) are exits developed by SAP. The exit is implementerd as a call to a function module. The code for the function module is written by the developer. You are not writing the code directly in the function module, but in the include that is implemented in the function module.
The naming standard of function modules for functionmodule exits is:
EXIT_<program name><3 digit suffix>
The call to a functionmodule exit is implemented as:
CALL CUSTOMER.-FUNCTION <3 digit suffix>
To find a Exit.
Goto Transaction -- Find The Package
SMOD >f4>Use the Package here to Find the Exits In the Package.
Else if you Want to search by Application Area wise ,
There is one more tab to find the Exits in the Respective Application Area.
Implementing the Exit-- CMOD Create ProjectsAssgn your Component .
Now Run ur Transaction to Check if it Triggers.
Thats it..
Suppose you need to find out all the user exits related to a tcode.
1. Execute the Tcode.
2. Open the SAP program.
3. Get the Development Class.
4. Execute Tcode SE84.
5. Open the Node 'Envir. -> Exit Techniques -> 'Customer Exits -> Enhancements'
6. Enter the Development class and execute.
Check out this thread..
The specified item was not found.
1. Type the transaction : system->status-> <PROG. NAME>
2 open SE37 , type EXIT<PROG NAME> and press F4 to get the list of function exits available.
3. Open CMOD utilities->SAP enhancements
EDIT->All selections
4.type the function module name obtained in step 2, in fields 'component name' in 'additional selections' block. and execute.
5. The displayed list contains the enhancements names for the transaction You were looking for.
6. Create a project in CMOD and the code in default include->activate.

2. User Exit: Implemented as subroutines within includes (any include except y or z includes). You need access for the specific include and then you can any subroutine (user exit) within that Include.
BADIs are the enhanced version of user exits where the same logic is implemented via classes and object (OOP)
Enchancement point is the latest once introduces with ECC6.0 . Not very sure about that but you can change it without any access key.

1. Previously there were only user-exits.
2. Then came the concept of customer-exits.
3. user exits were nothing but subroutines
FORM/PERFORM
called from standard programs.
4. The FORM defintion was placed inside
an empty include file.
5. So It was called EVERYTIME.
and we need to MODIFY/REPAIR the
standard include .
6. Then it came with concept of customer-exit
7. It consists of calling a FUNCTION MODULE,
which is called only if
the user-exit is ACTIVATED (other wise not called)
In this case, the code in put inside
a pre-defined Z include.
8. Functionality of both is same, howerver
we can note the following important differences
a) Customer exit is called only if activated.
(hence, it does not waste resources)
b) in customer exit, REPAIR does not happen
to the standard include.
Exits are basically the hooks whcih SAP has provided to add your own code. There are two types of Exits: -

What is User Exits ? what are Enhancements ?
You can find information in the SAP help, e.g. under http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/c8/1978b543b111d1896f0000e8322d00/frameset.htm.
User exits can be realized through BADI's or customer exits.
In SAP Standard Transactions, if you need to do some customization via programming then SAP has identified the milestones in the behavior of the transactions where these customized effects may be needed.
This customization to standard transactions is done by some special function modules wherein one can write the customized code with the given SAP import/export parameters. These function modules relate to user exits. Transaction for user exit & its usage in any project are CMOD/SMOD.
Create a project in CMOD and implement that project in SMOD
