You don't need a serial number for the latest version of Photoshop, just sign in with your Adobe ID

  • Need help with transferring iTunes library to different computer

My old iPod stopped working so I bought a new one.  For my older iPod I use a different computer but I want to use a different computer for my new iPod.  I have all my songs on an external hard drive and I want to use that for my other computer.  How do I keep the same library stats such as play count, last played, date added etc. on the new computer?  When I am looking through the iTunes files there are multiple library databases and I don't know which one contains all my stats data that I want to transfer over to the new computer.  Also, how do I transfer all my playlists to the other computer?  Thanks!

Copy the entire iTunes folder from the old computer to the new computer.

  • Old Serial # not working to re-install Adobe Photoshop CS2 on different computer

Having a problem installing my copy of Adobe Photoshop CS2 - I have the CDs and I have the serial # from the installation on the old computer, but when I enter the information on the new computer, it tells me it is an invalid serial number.  The old computer is a Windows 2000 computer and is running version 9.02.  Please provide any assistance you can, as I would like to move the program to my new computer.  Thanks!  Bob

I was able to login to the Adobe Licensing website (https://www.licensing.adobe.com) as I found an older user ID from the paperwork when we first bought the product in 2005.  I was able to bring up the End User ID, which gave me the 24 digit serial number needed to install on the newer computer.  The older computer only had 20 digits listed on the software for security purposes, so I needed 4 more digits.  Once I got the right serial number, I was able to properly install the Adobe Photoshop CS2.  Thanks to Jeff A. Wright for his help!

  • How can I deactivate Photoshop from a different computer?

My old computer recently broke and I was wondering if there was a way I could deactivate my Photoshop elements that was installed on the old computer? It is Elements 11.

  • Can I Use Photoshop on A different computer to the one that I originally installed it on?

I have purchased a new mac i want to use Photoshop on it. I purcahsed a copy of photoshop from a computer store but cant figure how to swap it onto other machine?

You are allowed two installations of Photoshop.  On your old computer you want to deactivate PS by opeing PS and selecting "deactivate" from the help menu.  Then just install PS on your new computer.

  • How can I transfer Photoshop to a different computer?

as I am a uni student I new photoshop, I purchased it but since then I've upgraded my computer my question is can I transfer my photoshop to new computer?

Yes.  If you have a subscription you can either leave it working on the older machine as a backup copy (You are allowed to have two working installations) or you can sign out of the old machine and install and sign in on the new machine.

  • Transferring photoshop from laptop to computer.

I have purchased adobe photoshop and it is licensed for two computers, as long as it is used at seperate times. I originally installed it on one pc and one laptop. I no longer used the laptop so wish to take it off that and put it on to a pc. Is this possible and how do I do it?

You do not need to remove it from the laptop but you can.  What you do need to do is deactivate it.  TO deactivate, open Photoshop on the laptop, select the Help option, and choose Deactivate.  That should free up one of your activations for your other machine to make use of.
If you have any issues beyond that or the deactivation does not appear to work, you need to contact Adobe Support either by chat or via phone when you have serial number and activation issues.

  • Transferring Photoshop CC to new computer?

I would like to purchase photoshop cc on my current HP laptop but I am looking to purchase a macbook within a year, would I be able to transfer my photoshop download without repurchasing the program?

    Yes.
You can install and activate the software on a maximum of two computers simultaneously at any time: Mac and/or PC.

  • How many times can the photoshop code be used?  Like can I download it on one computer then later download it on a different computer?

Basically the title explains my question.  How many times can the photos hop code be used?  Like can I download it on one computer then later download it on a different computer?

You're allowed two installations/registrations. Anything above that requires deregistration on one of those computers.
Take note that if this is Photoshop CC, it's as easy as signing out on a system; there aren't any serial numbers involved as it's all tied to your Adobe ID.

  • Editing with Photoshop Elements on a different computer

I spend my time in two different countries. Last time I went to the US, I installed my copy of Photoshop Elements on my laptop, as I prefer to use that program for editing. Unfortunately, I left the disc in the US. Now that I am back in Finland, I want to use Photoshop Elements to edit some photos on my iMac that are stored in iPhoto 6. I tried to move the program to my iMac, but it doesn't work. I also can't use the 30-day trial, as I used it before purchasing the program. I don't want to buy another copy, as I only ever use it on one computer at a time.
Is there a way to edit my photos on my PowerBook, and then import them back into iPhoto 6 on my iMac without having duplicates of the photos on the iMac? I am somewhat confused about the best way to do this. I know I can easily transfer the photos to my PowerBook, but I am unclear on what to do once I have edited them.
I know there is some kind of option in iPhoto to edit in a separate program. Can that be configured to edit photos in a separate program on a different computer on a network?

    Kristen:
You idea may be right. Connect your two computers, the one with PSE in Target mode, and then in iPhoto select PSE as the editor of choice and when asked to locate it, navigate to the other computer and select it. It's worth a try.

  • If I manually save the bookmarks, and place them on a different computer, are my login passwords for those bookmarks also going to be transfered?

Hi guys! Hope you're doing great!
I want to give some very important bookmarks to a colleague of mine, but for most of them I have passwords saved in Firefox 34.0 (Linux 14.0.4 LTS).
I am worried that giving her the bookmarks that I have downloaded on my PC from the Import/Export Bookmarks option, will also give her the login passwords for them.
Is this going to happen or it's ok to send her the needed bookmarks? I do not have another PC on which I can test that at the moment.
I searched through these recommended articles:
    - Can I restore my bookmarks if they were saved to the same profile on a different computer?
    - why does firefox corrupt my bookmarks every time I load it on a different computer?
    - How can I move all my bookmarks from different Firefox profiles into one area to organize them and then place them into the different Firefox profiles?
    - Where are my logins stored?
    - Restore bookmarks from backup or move them to another computer
    Thank you very much!

Passwords are stored in the password files (encrypted).
Bookmarks are stored in the bookmarks file.
These can't get your data back, but will help in the future.
These add-ons can be a great help by backing up and restoring Firefox

FEBE allows you to quickly and easily backup your
Firefox extensions, history, passwords, and more.
In fact, it goes beyond just backing up -- It will actually rebuild
your saved files individually into installable .xpi files.
It will also make backup of files that you choose.

  • Trying to swap Photoshop CS6 installation to a different computer

I'm attempting to swap Photoshop CS6 from one computer to another. I managed to get the serial number with Belarc, but when I attempted to deactivate the Photoshop CS6 on the 1st computer I am directed to download Adobe Support Advisor which is no longer available.Where do I go from here?

Well it seemed like a simple fix but my coworkers were tired of waiting and purchased a new copy of Photoshop.

  • Can I use my Photoshop package on a different computer?

    Hi,
I will be switching computers and I would need to use Photoshop on my new computer. Is there a procedure I need to follow?
    Many thanks,
    Marianna

You can install on as many machine as you want to. But only two machines can activate the install product on them at any given time and only one machine used at a time.  You should not be using the product activated on both machines concurrently to comply with your Adobe agreement.
If you will be selling your old machine or gifting it you should deactivate all Adobe products activated on it then remove(un-install) the software.

  • Can I move my Photoshop CS4 to a different computer without messing up my Photoshop CC?

I just recently bought Photoshop CC.
I'll be deleting my Photoshop CS4 off my computer soon. Is it possible to delete that off of my computer and instal it on a laptop?
I read somewhere that I can deactivate my Photoshop CS4 and then install it on another computer, however, I don't want to mess up the Photoshop CC.
    Help please!

The programs have nothing to do with one another, so just go ahead. And you don't have to uninstall, just deactivate. uninstalling potentially may break shared components like PDF libraries, so either just leave it in place or be prepared for having to reinstall CC.
