Transformation Service XML is rendered wrong ?
Hello,
my Environment Enterprise Portal 6.0 Patch 2 SP 17.
I'm developing a AbstractPortalComponent which uses the SAP Transformation Service of the Enterprise Portal to generate xhtml out of xml data.
I've multiples <xsl:when> clauses in my xsl stylesheet. I've developed and debugged the xsl in my local Eclipse Installation without j2ee support. When parsing the xml-source in my local Eclipse installation all <xsl:when> clauses are interpreted right. But when I try it in my AbstractPortalComponent using the SAP Transformation Service, the <xsl:when> are not rendered right. Why?
I tried out several things. First in my local eclipse I tried out the JAXP Parser of the 1.4.2.08 JAVA SDK. The result was rendered right. Also if I use jdom as parser the result xhtml is rendered right.
Then I tried to use jdom on Portal side. The result was the same as I use the SAP Transformation Service of the Portal. The result was rendered wrong.
Slowly I have no other idea, why my xml is rendered wrong in the Portal Application. My local eclipse and the Portal uses the same JAVA SDK 1.4.2.08.
Annotation:
I use <xsl:when> to generate different a href links. local /external and anchors. Is there any built in service of the Portal that could disturb the rendering process ?
Any help tips appreciated.
Solved the Problem on my own. The xsl stylesheet is rendered right in SP17.

Hi,
I am storing some documents created from XML forms into a new repository created by us in KM. while opening this document from our repository, the content is opened in normal XML file format, instead of expected XML form renderer. But if I choose to edit this document, I am getting it opened in XML renderer. Any solutions to fix it ?
I added my repository to xmlforms_filter, in KM->CM->XMLFormsRepositoyFilter, but I got null pointer exception while editing and content not hyperlinked for directly opening.
Thanks in Advance,
JohnI am attaching the stacktrace....

Data Transformation Services Execution Utility stopped working and was closed
Hi,
I had the SSIS packages (ETL job) working fine for a long time and then we moved the server/machine and ETL job keeps failing.
The ETL job run number of packages. The ETL job fails for the first run then I set the retires and it works in 2nd or 3rd try on the ETL job but it fails daily for the first run where DTexec.exe crash (log pasted below)
Server: Windows 2008 R2
SQL Server: SQL Server 2008 R2
RAM 64 GB
CPU cores 8
we had the similar specs on previous machine and ETL job worked fine. Only difference is we have 2 SQL server instances now on same machine.
I am suspecting it's an issue with ETL packages but why it was working fine before for a long time and after machine move it keeps failing.
Any thoughts?

I'm implementing WS-SECURITY for my web service. The only service that I am enabling is the soap encryption. Furthermore, I only want to encrypt the request. I in the web-services.xml the operations specify the security spec to use for both the request and the response...
in-security-spec
out-security-spec
The docs say "If you do not specify this attribute, the default security specification, if it exists, is applied to the SOAP response. If there is no default security specification, then no message-level security is applied to the SOAP response."
My question is how do you disable the response if there is a default security spec.
thxxmllint is correct. Here's what the 1.1.3 XSD says (I put in the leading periods to fool the discussion board into preserving structure ):
. <xsd:element name="ITunesUDocument">
. . <xsd:complexType>
. . . <xsd:sequence>
. . . . <xsd:element ref="Version" minOccurs="1" maxOccurs="1"/>
. . . . <xsd:element ref="AddCourse" minOccurs="0"/>
. . . </xsd:sequence>
. . </xsd:complexType>
. </xsd:element>
If "minOccurs" or "maxOccurs" aren't specified in sequence elements, then they both default to "1". So the "minOccurs" and "maxOccurs" specifiers are redundant in the "Version" element specification…they'd be "1" anyway. Setting "minOccurs" to "0" means that you can omit the element in XML…but unless "maxOccurs" is set, than the most any element can appear in the sequence is once to be valid. "unbounded" can be used in "maxOccurs" to set no limit on the number of times it can appear in the sequence.
Recall that XML doesn't necessarily have to validate to "work". An XML validation is a contract between us and Apple…Apple promises that we can put at least one "AddCourse" in an "ITunesUDocument" and that is going to work, or our money back. But if we don't submit valid XML, it might still work…but there is no promise there either. It might work today, it might fail tomorrow. The iTunes U people have said, in various venues, that we should expect Apple to validate our XML…but nobody's perfect. It could be that Apple just missed this one…but we should still write code under the assumption that the XSD is being correctly applied and that our XML is being validated on Apple's end. That way, our code can never be "wrong". -

Thanks a lot, THAT DID IT... two very helpful hints from you in a row.
By the way, one thing worth mentioning is that the Weblogic documentation that
we explored did not have enough information about that issue.
Thanks again.

So the correct DD should look something like:
<fault type="typeNS:string"
xmlns:typeNS="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema"
class-name="tutorial.sample9.HelloWorldException"
name="HelloWorldException">

There is a know problem: WLS can not handle
exceptions that contain complex data types.
This will be fixed in SP1.

? Union simple data types
? References to named model groups
? Nested content models in a single complex type
? Redefinition of declarations
? Identity constraints (key, keyref, unique)
? Nested XSD model groups with other content models at the same level.
There cannot be a modelgroup (say sequence) that contains another nested modelgroup (say choice), and a content element (say element). So, if a nested modelgroup is required, make sure that it contains only another model group and no other content element.
? Wildcards
but i didn't understand why its giving error for whiteSpace.
Can someone reply to this please,, its urgent for me.
thanks

please help me if u have any idea,thanksHi Hamsa,
Did you also create and configure an "Execution Destination"?
You can test the Metadata destination configuration on Web Service Navigator.
On the web service navigator (http://hostname:portnumber/wsnavigator) search in the metatda destination you have created for the service you imported in web dynpro as a model. If you can find it there test it on the ws navigator.
Best regards,

BI Admin Tool and XSLT transformation for XML data source - How it works ?
Hello,
There is a possibility to import data from XML data source using BI Admin Tool.
In the import window we can point XSLT file. What is the purpose of that XSLT field?
Why I am asking ?
I thought it is smth like XSLT processor, but simply it doesnt work.
What I did:
- I pointed XML data source file
- I pointed XSLT transformation file
- Click OK, and still get the message that the XML file structure is not supported
After that I transformed that XML file with some desktop XSLT processor using the same XSLT file, and I tried to connect that file directly using BI Admin tool.Then it works. So it means that the transformation is ok.
So basically one question comes to my mind in that situation:
What is the purpose of XSLT field in BI Admin Tool when it comes to XML data source ?
(it doesnt look like XSLT processor)
Greetings
/MichalHi Mariano
Why you need to use XSLT for transforming XML file into ABAP table
Code is a part of some ABAP report. Looks like it is reading a file from file system and updating table after transformation
If you have requirement like you need to read XML file and then insert the data into a SAP table
You can use
File to RFC
File to Proxy scenario using SAP PI.
Please provide more inputs on requirement to help
Thanks

I need help writing and XSLT to transform an XML in InDesign. I am new to XML and have no idea how to write an XSLT.
We are trying to bring in data from a database using a query language that is having trouble creating the image tags the way we need it to. Basically, I need to take this:
<Project href="file://C:\My test phot.jpg">
and transform it into this:
<Project> <image href="file://C:\My test phot.jpg" />
Can anyone help me with this?
Thanks!Not sure I can help you with this, as my understanding of XSL is very limited.
However, as a matter of trial and error, I find that if I transform this XML:
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
<Root>
<Project href="file://C:\My test phot1.jpg">The first bit of textual content here</Project>
<Project href="file://C:\My test phot2.jpg">The second bit of textual content here</Project>
<Project href="file://C:\My test phot3.jpg">The third bit of textual content here</Project>
<Project href="file://C:\My test phot4.jpg">The fourth bit of textual content here</Project>
<Project href="file://C:\My test phot5.jpg">The fifth bit of textual content here</Project>
</Root>
...with this XSLT:
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
<xsl:stylesheet version="1.0" xmlns:xsl="http://www.w3.org/1999/XSL/Transform">
<xsl:template match="/">
<Root>
<xsl:for-each select="/Root/Project">
<Project>
<image><xsl:attribute name="href"><xsl:value-of select="@href"/></xsl:attribute></image>
<xsl:value-of select="."/>
</Project>
</xsl:for-each>
</Root>
</xsl:template>
</xsl:stylesheet>
...I end up with this XML:
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
<Root>
<Project><image href="file://C:\My test phot1.jpg"/>The first bit of textual content here</Project>
<Project><image href="file://C:\My test phot2.jpg"/>The second bit of textual content here</Project>
<Project><image href="file://C:\My test phot3.jpg"/>The third bit of textual content here</Project>
<Project><image href="file://C:\My test phot4.jpg"/>The fourth bit of textual content here</Project>
<Project><image href="file://C:\My test phot5.jpg"/>The fifth bit of textual content here</Project>
</Root>
...which seems what you're looking for.
[I edited the original solution slightly by removing a wildcard.] -

Data Transformation Service (DTS) available in Oracle SQL Developer?
Hi All,
Sorry to bother you again. Is Data Transformation Service (DTS) available in Oracle SQL Developer? So far I cannot find it. For example, i want merge First Name, Last Name column from Access,excel or cvs to migrate as Full Name in Oracle or Full name in Access,Xls or cvs split into First name & last name column in Oracle. What method or service should I use.
Regards,
Tun TunOn wikipedia, I see that's a SQL Server component, so I don't think it's possible to use it in any other program.
But you can always tweak columns through normal queries, and even create a new table based on that, like
CREATE TABLE Table_New AS
SELECT First_Name || Last_Name FROM Table_OldHope that helps,
K.
