Trapping errors when running in batch mode

I use windows scheduler to run several reports in batch mode. Is there a way to continue after an error and capture a error code. I ocasionally get Fetch out of sequence errors which have to be cleared from the screen manually. I need this to automaticly close and return an error code so the report can be re run without user intervention.
Is there a command line switch or registry setting to switch error mesage boxes of.

This is an old story which may have a solution if your program is Premiere Elements 13.
If your program is version 13, then delete or rename the OldFilm.AEX file from OldFilm.AEX to OldFilm.AEXOLD.
That file is found
Local Disk C
Program Files
Adobe
Adobe Premiere Elements 13
Plug-Ins
Common
NewBlue
and in the NewBlue Folder is the OldFilm.AEX file.

Error in BIM when running in background mode

Hi,
I am facing an error when running a BIM in sm35.
The BIM runs fine with my userid in all three modes( foreground,display error mode, background mode)....but fails when the functional person is testing in background mode. The BIM runs fine in all other modes.
It gives the message when running in background mode
"No batch input data for screen SAPLMGMW 4008"
What should I check or do to correct it.

The BIM runs fine in Foreground mode and in Display error mode even for the functional..It is giving error only for Background mode.
I also did the following
1. Created the BIM in my id and tried running( in background) it using the other id ...it was successful
2. Created the BIM in other id and ran ( in background) using my id....it failed.
I will check again for authorisations also.

Corba error when running rich clients in 3-tier mode.

I am dealing with an Error when running Rich Clients (WebI and DeskI) with 3-tier ODBC connection to the server.
The client does come up and I'm able to create the query but when the data in refreshed I do get the error:
A database error occured. The database error text is: (CS) "CORBA Initialization failed". (WIS 10901).
I have a test server which I'm able to do this kind of connection without a problem but when I try to connect to the Prod server in 3-tier data connection mode throught the server I get this error.
My setup is:
BO XI R 3.1 FP. 2.1
Clients are also updated with FP 2.1
The data sources are Oracle and Teradata.

Actually, if you're looking for MAKEAPPDISTRIB (I assume that's how you
create distributable) you can see if the command was succesfull or not.
<<deployrep.js>> This Jscript will look for this string and it will
generate a report based on the next line in the log file.
The script assumes you have an environment variable (DESCARTES_ROOT) that
points to a folder (let's say "D:\TEST"). Under that folder you have a log
folder ("d:\test\log") which holds the deploy.log log file. You can easily
change the script to reflect your systems settings.
The generated report looks like that : <<deployrep.txt>>

Proxy error when running reports in Infoview

We are running XI 3.1 sp4 and are getting a Proxy error on some reports when running in PDF mode. Any ideas?

It seems that the reverse proxy you are using: Apache could have problems with the sessions of the users. I have seen the same behaviour with other Load Balancers. If you have different WAS in the backend, make sure they stay with the same WAS (session affinity).

ADT packaging with native extensions : permission denied error when running remote build.

Hi Team,
We are facing the following error when running the nightly ant build script on Mac machine for our air mobile application. We are using iOS native extensions and package with ADT. This works fine when we run the build as local user in the Mac machine. Earlier we faced some issues due to headless build and we have added the <headless-server>true</headless-server> in corresponding config files (flex-config.xml, airmobile-config.xml). After that we are facing the following error, even when we run the ant build in headless mode using the following command.
ant -Djava.awt.headless=true -f build.xml buildPackage
When running this build as local user in the Mac build machine, we see a window opening with com.adobe.air.ADT while packaging. This is the issue when running nightly build as there is no graphics window.
Can anybody please help how to get rid of this issue for nightly build using adt,jar?

Note: Before the above error that were two other errors .
1) The build complained that the adt-bundle-linux toolchain could not be found and required that it be added to .mozconfig. This was done.
2) The build complained that dx could not be found.
The configure file was edited and the values $DX, $AAPT and $AIDL were all set to the adt-bundle-linux/sdk/build-tools/android-4.4 path.
The instructions given on the Mozilla Wiki did not work right for Android and several modifications were made to move it along. But this permission error is tough to figure out.

Intermitten Errors when running reports in Crystal Report Viewer

Give it a try by using the close and dispose method for report object and also use the GC.collect.

     i run the program in the backgroung mode.
   i have two parameters.one input file path name, second one output file name
(where can i stored).
i given input file path name like this: h:\list.txt
and output file path : h:\jjj.txt.
and then press F9.here pupup windoe is comeing (background job parameter) i click write tick button .the here i got popup and massage is like this "format set X_65_80".then i press enter.again popup is came start time,i click the immediate button and save it.then bachground job is schduled.
then again i go to SM37. there i given prog name and execute.status is canceled.
i click job log button its show the error.that error message :"error opening the server file. please help me how to solve the problem.

You have to check 2 things
1.whether you have autorization for that directory
2.Check the file path currectly.Go to tcode AL11 try to copy the path and paste
      here.

Error when running a report in BPC NW

I am getting the following error when running a report for my application in BPC NW.
EVDRE encountered an error retrieving data from the Web Server (retrying in (X) seconds).
This error comes with this dialog option box to either continue or cancel retrying retrieving data. Retrying doesn't help either.
Any report I run (on any of my appsets), I get this error. I used the EVDRE function and also tried running a report using the template as the basis. But I get the error either way.
Does anyone know why this error is occurs or how to debug this issue. I saw some information about this in earlier threads but could not make much out of it.
Appreciate any assistance.

This is a very generic error...Couple of places to look for....
1)Reprocess the application (Modify application + Reassign SQL Index + Process Application)
2)optimizing the application sometimes helps (Full Optimize + Compress Database + Index defragmentation).
3)Create a "evdataserver_debug.txt" in user's private publication folder on server side to populate very detail level logging and check the log on client side EVDRE_LOG.txt for further peek into where things are getting messed up.
if evdataserver_debug.txt does not get populated on BPC 5.x...it is an issue with IIS authetication on Application server.
4)You have to check the event viewer into .NET server and also the BPC logs which can be found into
BPC\Logging for further details ..

did you check which servers has FSMO roles?
You can do that via command prompt: netdom query fsmo
For forestprep you must do that on DC which have Schema Operations marter role.
Command
Domain controller
Number of times to run the command
adprep /forestprep
Must be run on the schema operations master for the forest.
Once for the entire forest
adprep /domainprep
Must be run on the infrastructure operations master for the domain.
Once in each domain where you plan to install an additional domain controller that runs a later version of Windows Server than the latest version that is running in the domain.
Note
Domains where you will not add a new domain controller will be affected by adprep /forestprep, but they do not require you to run adprep /domainprep.

ORA-06502 - Error when running "Ask The Expert 0.9"

Besides that, i'm having problems when i tried to run the "Aks the Expert". It always shows the following message errors:
ORA-06502: PL/SQL: numeric or value error: character string buffer too small
Error Unable to write activity log.
I think it was a problem with APEX instalation, but i could run the Sample Application of Apex without any problem.
I opened an SR in Metalink, but to my surprise, the analist of support don't know what's wrong with the demo "Ask de Expert".

It can't find an Endeca specific class when running via the clover command line utility. Thus, the classpath being set in that shell script is not incorporating the .jar files where the endeca-specific classes are packaged. I would start by adding an line to see what your classpath is set to. There are actually already some lines of shell script in clover that you can uncomment to see what .jars are getting loaded:
