Traveling with Ipod and using internet shops in Asia

I have been searching for hours but without any luck. I am traveling India and Asia for 3 months. I have an ipod and a laptop. In Asia you can get online at small internet shops but I'm not always able to bring along the laptop and hook it up. Is there a way I can login to itunes download podcasts and video podcasts to the hard drive on the ipod and then if I have to move them to my itunes on my laptop. I am not able to download itunes on every computer in every shop in Asia.

Thanks mate, I will load it into itunes but first I need to get it from itunes to a memory stick or on to the hard drive of the ipod then I will load it into the ipod so I can listen to them. I am using a public computer that does not have itunes loaded onto it. I want to be able to enter my user name and password and get into itunes download the podcasts to a memory stick and then take that to my computer which has my itunes loaded on it. Thanks for your help.

I would like to know if we can connect our mobile handset - E63 with the desktop and have access to Internet on E63 using the internet connection active / available on the desktop?
Eg: I have an image or a word file on my E63 that I wish to e-mail using the Internet browser. I would like to connect my E63 with my desktop / laptop using the data cable or bluetooth dongle and use the Internet connection available on the desktop ( when I do not have internet available on my E63) and then e-mail the image or Word file using the browser.
If yes, please let me know the complete procedure for the same?

I've done it through WLAN. My Mac is connected by cable to the internet and I just set it up to share the internet connection via Airport (Apple's Wireless Network). Then the phone detects it as WIFI and off it goes. (a bit slow, though).
But I'm thinking you mean connecting to a PC via data cable. I've heard someone do this with a Windows Mobile smartphone. Not sure if the S60 can be tinkered enough to make it work. (have a look see at www.modaco.org)

Maybe you should test these things before calling people out, because these settings do function perfectly well.
iCloud is not supported on Snow Leopard or lower, why bother to mention it?
The OP has an iCloud account, and that can not be opened without Lion or Mountain Lion (on a Mac), IOS5 or 6 (on an iPhone/iPad)

You may be able to buy a program to do this - not supported by Apple.
the ipod is not a storage device. The sync is one way - computer to ipod. The only exception is itunes purchaes.
The music should be on a computer as that is where they came from in the first place.

When clicking yes another message indicates not able to remove services. Another message is: "Service (ipod service) could not be installed. Verify that you have sufficient privileges to install system sources." I've uninstalled all Apple services (itunes, quicktime, apple software update, apple mobiles devices support, bonjour and apple application support and reinstalled itunes/quicktime - no change in error messages. I cannot burn CDs using Itunes. This all seemed to happen when I updated itunes to version 10. I have a Windows 7 64-bit operating system on a Dell Inspiron Zino HD; the Itunes software is also 64 bit.

No
Safari or Firefox are the optimal choices. At times Safari does not open links with smooth pagination of fonts and lettering / graphics are not clear. So I opt for Firefox. Be aware that you need to close Safari to use Firefox. It has been my experience.that if I forget to close Safari and open Firefox at same time Firefox error message says oops! We need to reset or can't open try again.

Can ping and use internet, can not connect to ethernet printer on network

I have been pulling my hair out with this problem, have used proffesional support and not solved the problem to date.
1) Have Airport Express (6.3) (WEP128, Airtunes, Custom Name, all else default settings) connected via the ethernet port to an existing office network to hub/switch then ADSL modem and PC severs.
2) Have a PC laptop connected and working (now) without issues, can internet, print to ethernet printer, connect to network drives.
3) Have G5 mac (10.4.8, no fire-wall), cannot print or connect to printer, can ping printer and use internet, limited connection to network drives (BTW).
4) Can connect to printer and print when bypassing AX and pluging ethernet direct to G5.
5) Mac G5 is allocated the first available DHCP address 10.0.1.2 followed by the PC with 10.0.1.3
Would appreciate any input to this one.

The AirPort Express (AX) is creating a separate subnet and this may be causing problems. Configure the AX so that the option to distribute IP addresses is DISABLED.

ok i've seen this in several threads and haven't found one with an anwser. the software required for communicating with ipod and mobile phones was not installed correctly. of course when you tell it to repair it does not. this has happened several times now and only cure i have found is uninstalling itunes and reinstalling. works for maybe a few weeks then does the same thing and i start all over again with uninstall and reinstall. i tunes version 10.4.1.10 64 bit running on windows 7 64 bit and trying to sync with Iphone 3gs - so anyone have a fix for this or am i stuck reinstalling itunes every few weeks???

I get an error message indicating software required to communicate with iPod and mobile phones was not installed correctly. Do you want iTunes to try to repair this for you? I normally respond with OK and it immediately tells me "could not be repaired. Please reinstall iTunes..." I have done this a number of times to no avail.

I also notice Quicktime is not getting installed at all.
That one is normal nowadays (ever since the iTunes versions 10.5.x).

Let's try a standalone Apple Mobile Device Support install. It still might not install, but fingers crossed any error messages will give us a better idea of the underlying cause of why it's not installing under normal conditions.

What are you actually trying to do? Why do you need "DVD size" folders if you're creatng an Archive on an external hard drive?
Also, I understand burning folders instead of individual photos or albums gives you more space on a DVD.
It makes no difference at all.
How can I keep the captions on my photos (not events) when I print or transfer to a new folder?
You can export while writing the metadata to the file in most cases.
Tne only way I know is to copy photos from the Windows to folders on my HD, then copy and paste photos or albums or events to HD, then create a new folder and fill it to the appropriate DVD size.
HD? Another HD? You use HD there in a way that makes no sense. What's the point of 'DVD size'?
I also thought I should download future photos to my Canon programming that comes with EOS cameras and edit and then decide which photos to save to iPhoto library and which to save only to my archival HD?
Does this have any relation to the previous questions? You know you can delete from iPhoto, right?
You're somewhat confused and you need to
1. Decide what exactly you want to do
2. Then go about it.
If I understand you correctly - and there's no guarantee that I do - the easiest thing is to bring all your Photos into iPhoto and do everything from there.
You can have an archive on an external disk, you can sort and select and edit with or via iPhoto

What roaming charges? If you have a local plan there are no roaming charges. This is a major reason for using a local plan.
Contact, or visit the website, whatever local provider you are considering and get their plan details.

If I understand correctly you are going to perform database migration activity in your present landscape. Firstly you have to contact SAP as well as one of the third party hardware vendor (who is going to provide certified HANA hardware). SAP will provide you all the license details.
