TREX - Queue with state "Invalid"

Hi,
I've a problem with the QueueServer of TREX, because one of the queues shows the state "Invalid" and I don't know how to solve this problem. All things like "Flush" or "Activate" doesn't seem to help.
Can I just delete the queue and will it automatically be created new?
Regards,
Daniel

Hi Srinivas,
I don't want to reindex the whole index, because it is an index with many documents and it would take a long time to reindex it.
I've created an oss note, so let's see how SAP solves the problem.
Thanks
Daniel

  • Project server 2010: job stuck in queue with state Waiting to be Processed (Sleeping)

    Hi,
    I have a job in the queue that is stuck. The job type is "TimeSheet Update Resource" and the job state is "Waiting to be processed (Sleeping)". This is happening with only one user. Other users can edit, save, and submit timesheets normally as it appears.
    Can't figure out the problem! I tried restarting the queue and timer service with no success. Any suggestions much appreciated.
    Thanks,
    George

    Since you already identified issue is user specific, I think now you need to have a look in to ULS log to undestand really whats happening in the background.
    Try  editing the user from PWA>>>Server Settings>>Manager users
    Click on the user and without making any change click on save, monitor the queue

  • Shutting down a queued event state machine with multiple parallel loops

    I am trying to find the best way to shutdown a program that consists of a queued event state machine architecture with multiple parallel loops. Can anyone recommend the best way to accomplish this in my attached VI? (From browsing the forum, this seems to be a common question but I haven't found a solution that works for me.)
    I welcome any other feedback on my code as well, if anyone is willing to offer it.
    My Program Requirements:
    If the user presses the "Shutdown" button, the program should prompt the user with "Are you sure you want to stop the program?" and then either return to the Idle state or proceed to stop the program. Additionally if there is an error, the program should prompt the user with "Clear error and continue, or Stop program?" Then either return to the Idle State or proceed to stop the program.
    Details of architecture:
    The program consists of 3 parallel loops: (1) an Event Handling loop that enqueues various States to a State Queue, (2) a State Machine which enters the latest state that is dequeued from the State Queue, and (3) an Error/Shutdown handling loop which processes any errors in the Error queue.
    During normal Shutdown, in the Event Handling loop the "Program.Shutdown" event case executes, and the States "Shutdown" and "Idle" are added to the State Queue. In the State Machine, the "Shutdown" state is invoked. A special error code "5000" is added to the Error Queue. In the Error/Shutdown handling loop, the "5000" error triggers a prompt that asks the user if they want to stop the program. If the user chooses not to stop, a notifier StopNotif is sent to the "Shutdown" state and "Program.Shutdown" event case with the notification "Go". If the user chooses to stop, the notifier sends the notification "Stop". The Event handling loop and State Machine are terminated if they receive the notification "Stop".
    In case of error, the program behaves similarly: if the user chooses to clear the error and continue, the program returns to the "Idle" state.
    HOWEVER - if the user chooses to stop the program, the program stalls. The notifier that is sent to stop the Event Handling Loop and State Machine cannot be read because the Program.Shutdown event case and the Shutdown state (which contain the "Wait for Notifier" function) are not active.
    I have been able to activate the Shutdown state by enqueuing it in the Error/Shutdown handling loop. But I don't know how to activate the "Program.Shutdown" event programmatically, and thereby access the "Wait for Notifier" function inside it.
    I tried to place the "Wait for Notifier" function outside the event structure, but then the Event Handling loop never completes. Placing timeouts on the "Wait for Notifier" and on the Event structure makes the program work, but I want to avoid using timeouts because I don't want to turn my event-driven program into a polling-based program. I'd also like to avoid using variables or property nodes to stop the loops, because that requires creating a control/indicator for something that the user doesnt need to interact with.
    Thank you!
    Solved!

    Thanks for clarifying that, Ravens Fan.
    I marked crossrulz as the solution for pointing out User Events to me.
    I also adopted Ravens Fan's suggestion to keep the Shutdown procedure out of the Error Handling Loop. This has simplified the architecture by eliminating the need for Notifiers. Instead, I have used booleans in case structures to stop the Event Loop and State Machine, and Release Queue to stop the Error Handling Loop.
    For reference, I'm attaching my corrected code.
    Thank you to everyone who helped!

  • When do VI and queue references become invalid?

    Hi all,
    I have a fairly complicated problem, so please bear with me.
    1)  I have a reentrant SubVI (let's call it VI "Assign") that has an input cluster of (VI ref, queue ref) (let's call the cluster type "Refs").  If the VI ref is invalid (first execution), the VI ref and queue ref are assigned values and are passed on as an output cluster of same type.  (The VI does other things too, but for simplicity only this is important.)
    2)  The VI that calls VI "Assign" (let's call it VI "Store") is not reentrant and has a local variable of type "Refs" that is wired to the input and output of VI "Assign".  This VI effectively stores the references.  The references returned by VI "Assign" are always valid right after the call, but after the problem condition described below, they are invalid at the start of all calls before they are passed to VI "Assign".
    3)  VI "Store" is called by multiple non-reentrant VIs, so the local variables of VI "Assign" retain their values (Has been tested and verified to retain their values).  The VI causing the problem in this case is a template VI of which multiple copies are launched (let's call it VI "Template").
    The problem is that the moment an instance of VI "Template" is closed, the queue reference becomes invalid, although the actual variant value of the reference remains the same.  The VI ref can become invalid or not, depending on small changes, but is always reproducible.  I assume there must be some similarity between VI and queue refs.  After spending some time researching, the Labview help states for the Open VI Ref component "If you do not close this reference, it closes automatically after the top-level VI associated with this function executes."  In this case I assumed it means that the moment the reentrant VI "Assign" finishes, the references will get cleared ??  So I made a non-reentrant VI (let's call it VI "NR Assign") that only assigns values to the references and VI "Assign" now calls this VI (It effectively does what I described VI "Assign" does).  I keep this VI alive by using it in a VI which never terminates and since it never terminates, the references should never become invalid.  Anyone still following?  This didn't solve the problem though.  If I reproduce the same scenario using only one instance of the template VI, it works just fine.  Furthermore, the VI and queue references are never closed, to aid analysis of the problem.  Can anyone shine some light on what happens when a template VI terminates?  Could this be the problem?
    Unfortunately I cannot include the code.
    Thank you whoever is able to make sense of this.

    All LabVIEW refnums do get deallocated automatically when the top-level VI in whose hierarchy the refnum was created goes idle (stops executing). You will have to make sure that the creation of a refnum is done inside a VI hierarchy that stays running for the entire time you want to use that refnum.

  • How to get all the recipients of a server queue with powershell

    Hello,
    I have a queue who remains "full" because there was a bounce email sent to invalid addresses. I am looking for an easy way to list all the recipients with invalid addresses.
    I can have the list of emails in the queue with this command :
    get-queue -identity ServerName\Shadow\37057 | get-message
    But I am unable to list the recipient address with this one :
    get-queue -identity POST1MTY\Shadow\37057 | get-message -IncludeRecipient
    Can somebody help me with this ?
    Thank you in advance for your help.
    zigune

    Hi zigune,
    Thank you for your question.
    We could try to the following command to get the recipient address:
    Get-MessageTrackingLog –server “servername” | FL sender,Event-id,recipients | export-csv C:\test\test.csv
    Then, we could use log parser to view csv file for invalid recipient address, we could download log parser tool by the following link:
    http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=24659
    In other way, we could also try adding the “-IncludeRecipientInfo” in command:
    http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb124738(v=exchg.150).aspx
    If there are any questions regarding this issue, please be free to let me know.

  • PLSQL Notification on a multi-subscriber queue with sys.aq$_jms_text_messag

    Hi all,
    I am trying to get PLSQL notification working on a multi subscriber queue with sys.aq$jms_text_message as the payload type. The commands to create my queue are as follows:
    dbms_aqadm.create_queue_table(
    queue_table => 'SOA_JMS.RJMTESTxx_QTAB',
    multiple_consumers => true,
    queue_payload_type => 'sys.aq$_jms_text_message'
    dbms_aqadm.create_queue(
    queue_name=>'RJMTESTQ',
    queue_table => 'SOA_JMS.RJMTESTxx_QTAB',
    retention_time => 86400, --Keep processed messages for 24 hours
    max_retries => 3,
    retry_delay => 1
    dbms_aqadm.start_queue('RJMTESTQ');
    dbms_aqadm.add_subscriber(
    queue_name => 'SOA_JMS.RJMTESTQ',
    subscriber => sys.aq$_agent('SUBSCRIP1',null,0),
    rule => NULL,
    transformation => NULL,
    queue_to_queue => FALSE,
    delivery_mode => dbms_aqadm.persistent
    I then create a procedure with the following signature:
    create or replace procedure SOA_JMS.EXCEPTION_QUEUE_NOFIFYCB_1(
    p_context in raw,
    p_reginfo in sys.aq$_reg_info,
    p_descr in sys.aq$_descriptor,
    p_payload in raw,
    p_payloadl in number
    And register it as follows:
    reginfo := sys.aq$_reg_info(
    'SOA_JMS.RJMTESTQ:SUBSCRIP1',
    DBMS_AQ.NAMESPACE_AQ,
    'plsql://SOA_JMS.EXCEPTION_QUEUE_NOFIFYCB_1?PR=0',
    --utl_raw.cast_to_raw('STANDARDJMS')
    HEXTORAW('FF')
    reg_list := sys.aq$_reg_info_list(reginfo);
    dbms_aq.register(reg_list,1);
    The problem is the notifications are not firing as they should be.
    I have done some tracing and found an error:
    Error in PLSQL notification of msgid:BA964334E5A057A4E040C69BAF397075
    Queue :"SOA_JMS"."RJMTESTQ"

    This says that the parameters I have for my procedure is wrong. Looking through the documents I think it is something to do with the ?PR=0 used in the register call, but I can’t find any documentation telling me what the required parameters are.
    Does anyone here know?
    Thanks
    Robert

    Hi,
    I have found the solution and I am posting here in case it helps anyone else.
    The paramater names must match the callback not just the types and in/out.
    So the following works:
    create or replace procedure SOA_JMS.EXCEPTION_QUEUE_NOFIFYCB_2(
    context in raw,
    reginfo in sys.aq$_reg_info,
    descr in sys.aq$_descriptor,
    payload in raw,
    payloadl in number

    Thank You

    Hi Aravind,
    What is the status of your queue:
    Is it in status running, ready or sysfail?
    If it is in "Running" status since last 10 hours then check the following things:
    Check SM51 and see if you find a long running process, see if it is trying to do a sequential read on some table.
    If yes then ask your Basis team to run ST04 and see what index it is using,
    If that is also fine then ask them to check stat on that table.
    Builiding stat may help if a read on table is taking long time and index which is being picked up is correct.
    Your basis team should be able to help you.
    I hope it helps.
    Thanks,
    Anupam

  • How do I restart or start the TREX Queue Server ?

    Hi:
    In one of our environment, the TREX Queue server is unavailable. The service is down. I see it in the TREX Monitor (System Administration/System Configuration/Knowledge Management/Index Administration/TREX Monitor)
    How do i restart (start) the queue server again ? Where can I do that ?
    Thanks,

    Felipe,
    Queue server can be restarted thru the TREX admin tool. Go to your Trex host and the trex installation directory and launch trexadmin.bat. You can see all your trex services there.
    restart also is possible.Is the problem only with your queue server or is http server also affected?

  • How to block on MQ queue with MQControl

    I'm using WL 8.1SP4.
    I'm trying to use the com.bea.control.MQControl class. It seems like there is no way to "block" on a queue with this. It appears that the various "getMessageAs..." methods will just throw a ResourceException if there is no message on the queue. Failing a blocking capability, I have to implement a complicated wait/retry loop so the app doesn't spin waiting for a message.
    Alternatively, if my jpd has a Subscription node for the queue, if I get to that node, does that mean that there is definitely a message on the queue at that point? It would be ok if I could execute the process only when there is a message on the queue, and I could restart it each time.

    I figured out how to do this. The MQMDHeaders instance, which gets passed to the "getMessageAsString()" method, has a "waitInterval" property, which when set to "-1", will wait forever.
    What I'm not sure about, however, is whether it's valid to block for resources inside a JPD.

Is it ok for me to just go ahead and hit install? Or do I have a problem?

    Yep, just install iDVD (plus sounds and jingles) and iWeb if you want it (but note that iWeb apparently won't work if you upgrade to Mountain Lion).
    Then use Software Update to get any late iDVD updates.

    I get ORA-00928: missing SELECT keyword error. What could be the problem?

    You can just separate them with a comma:
    WITH calculate_terms AS (SELECT robinst_current_term_code,
    CASE
    WHEN robinst_current_term_code LIKE '%60' THEN robinst_current_term_code - '40'
    WHEN robinst_current_term_code LIKE '%20' THEN robinst_current_term_code - '100'
    END first_term,
    CASE
    WHEN robinst_current_term_code LIKE '%60' THEN robinst_current_term_code - '100'
    WHEN robinst_current_term_code LIKE '%20' THEN robinst_current_term_code - '160'
    END second_term
    FROM robinst
    WHERE robinst_aidy_code = :aidy),
    /*Use terms from calculate_terms to generate attendance periods*/
    gen_attn_terms AS
    SELECT
    CASE
    WHEN first_term LIKE '%60' THEN 'Fall '||substr(first_term,0,4)
    WHEN first_term LIKE '%20' THEN 'Spring '||substr(first_term,0,4)
    END first_attn_period,
    CASE
    WHEN second_term LIKE '%60' THEN 'Fall '||substr(second_term,0,4)
    WHEN second_term LIKE '%20' THEN 'Spring '||substr(second_term,0,4)
    END second_attn_period
    FROM calculate_terms
    )Not tested because there are no scripts.

  • Message stuck in Adapter Engine queue with status "Delivering"

    Hi All,
    I have a File to File EOIO scenario. The messages are sucessfully delivered from IE to AE. All entries have a chequered flag in SXMB_MONI. No messages are stuck in IE queue (SMQ2). But the message is stuck in AE queue with status "Delivering". I can not resend or cancel the message coz the status is "delivering".
    The reason it is in "delivering" status is due to some config error that I made in Communication Channel FTP parameters. Now it is corrected. But how do I deal with this message now?
    Restart of server is not an option here. Is there are place I can delete the message from AE queue?
    Thanks
    Jaishankar

    You can see the queues status (and number of stuck entries etc) through the link:
    http://<host>:<port>/MessagingSystem/monitor/systemStatus.jsp
    There, you can maintain the queues.
    There is also a link for the EOIO Sequence Monitor:
    http://<host>:<port>/MessagingSystem/monitor/sequenceMonitor.jsp
    There you can see the stuck messages and maintain these.
    Make sure to handle the proper message IDs.
    All of these are acessible through the Messaging System main page:
    http://<host>:<port>/MessagingSystem/
    Regards,
    Henrique.
