Triggering Idoc creation based on following Sales Order changes

Hi,
I am trying to find the best way to trigger an outbound Idoc to a customer for the following cases:
  1. Delivery date change
  2. Partial Shipment
  3. Complete Shipment
  4. Backorder
  5. Cancellation from Vendor
Any help is appreciated. SAP does not provide a clean way to do this. Thanks in advance.

Hi,
Use change pointers concept as follows
Activating Change Pointers
Change pointer generation has to be activated at both the
general level and message type.
1) Goto BD61, check the checkbox Change pointers activated - generally.
2) Save
3) Goto BD50, Choose the row for message type MATMAS, and check mark the corresponding field
4) Save
Converting change pointers to IDOCs
• Create, change or mark for deletion materials using
transaction MM01, MM02, or MM06.
• Execute transaction BD21
• Enter Message type MATMAS
• Execute

  • Creating Outbound deliveries based on the sales order schedule lines

    Dear all.
Is it possible to create outbound delivery documents based on the sales order schedule lines?
    Eg:
Let's say I have sales order line item 10 with below mentioned requested delivery dates in its schedule line level.
    30.07.2009
    10.08.2009
    20.08.2009
    30.08.2009
Will it possible for me to create different deliveries for those 4 schedule lines individually? I should be able to create 10.08.2009 delivery without clubbing 30.07.2009 delivery with it.
    Appreciate your help!

I'm not sure because I'm not before SAP but try transaction VL10E that is to create delivery for schedule lines. I'm not sure what are the split criterias.
Please check OSS note 113411 tha has many OSS note reference in this subject.

  • Automatic creation of project from Sales Order?

    hi..
can someone guide me how to automatically generate PS Projects from SO USING TCODE HBS0?
i have been able to generate projects automatically when i use tcode VA41 but my need is to do this for RE using sales browser and creation of Sales Order is by Tcode HBS0.
when i save the sales order, no project is created. ( Note: Material i used is same one i used successfully in VA41+)
    thanks in advance..

    Hi Ramesh,
Creation of project from sales order in SAP Project system is described as assembly processing.
In the Project System only networks can be generated directly from a sales document during assembly processing. Indirectly the system can also generate work breakdown structures, when it creates the network.
1.You start assembly processing by creating a sales document for a material. This sales
document can be inquiry, quotation, sales order.
    2. The system then
        Configures the material, if necessary
Creates a network using the standard network as a template
        Configures the network, if necessary
Schedules the network backwards from the required delivery date
        Checks material availability
Costs the network and transfers these costs to the sales document.
    3. When you save the sales document, the system saves the network together with the sales
document. If applicable, it also generates a project definition and work breakdown structure.
The project number is derived from the sales document number.

  • BAPI for Outbound Delivery Creation with reference to Sales Order

    Dear all,
I'm on R/3 4.6B platform and to develop an RFC for outbound Delivery creation instead of using the standard VL01N transaction.
I've review BAPI for Outbound Delivery Creation with reference to Sales Order - VL01N thread which suggest BAPI_DELIVERYPROCESSING_EXEC .
However, in 4.6B, that function module doesn't exist. Appreciate any suggestion and or workaround.
    Thanks.

  • PP: Production Order Qty UOM should be based on the sales order Qty UOM though having Alternate UOMs in material master

Hello PP GURUS I am new to this and i have one issues. I.e., While creating the Production Order, want the unit in the production order should be based on the sales order unit instead of what has been defined in the material master. Since, having 3-4 alternate unit of a material & can create a Sales Order in any one of them.
Also pls let me how to go through
either with the help of ABAP or configuration.
If it is with the configuration pls let me know the solution to arrive.
    Eg: Base UOM is KGS
          Alt UOMs: SQM, MTR, NOS
Sale order is Prepared with SQM and the same shall be in production order too to produce qty.
    Pls help me.
    rgds,
    Kumar V

    Hi
First you have to maintain alternate units in mateial master for that first go in additional data & maintain the alternate units as below..
    For example
    1200 M2=1 KG For SQM
    12 M=1 KG For MTR
    3 PC=1 KG For NOS
And then you can get Sales unit field in sales data 1 view enter your sales unit in that field & you will get production unit in work scheduling views as per your desire production units and according to that units your sale order & production order will pick that units & you can proceed accordingly but remember that first maintian the conversion factor as above other wise it will not accept hope that it will help you have a nice day...

  • Creating a delivery note based on a sales order in SBO2005

    Hi
I am using the diapi to create a delivery note based on a sales order. Everything works well apart from I have 3 user defined fields on the sales order lines, 2 numeric and one which is a combo box.
The 2 numeric values as copied across ok but the combo is not.
I don't know what the delivery number is as I guess SAP assigns that after I save the delivery note.
Can anyone help me with this please ?
    Regards Andy

    Hi Paul & Gilbert,
As you assumed, the docentry is created at the moment when you are saving the document.
The docentry for the last created document can be retrieved from the Company object. There are two alternative methods for this: GetNewObjectCode and GetNewObjectKey. Please see the DI API reference for more details. These are the only reliable way to get the last created docentry. A query might work nicely in 95% of the cases, but in a multi-user environment it will sooner or later produce incorrect results.

  • Invoice request based on multiple sales order for same customer

    Hi Team,
I just wanted to know if we can create manual invoice request based on multiple sales order for same customer?
For project based invoice request i have create based on single invoice request.
    Appreciate your input here.
    Thanks,
    Nitin

    Dear Ratish,
    Thanks for yr reply.
I already did that but it is not serving business purpose.
Comm payment  - comes diff time than sales payment.
so ,I will post one entry customer will get hit with total amount Sales + commission
    like below
Let say 10, 000 is the sales value and 500 is the commission
So , This entry will get posted
    Customer Db- 10,500
    Sales Cr- 10,000
    Comm Income Cr- 500
But, As I said sales amt will be paid before so We need to clear it partially and some time customer pays also diff amount due to some defect.
So, We wont be knowing for which case we have or havnet received the payment against commission.
As , Customer account is got hit with total amount( Sales+ Comm..value).
Pls advise how to solve this.

  • Addition Item getting added while posting Sales Order Changes - ORDCHG

    Hello,
I have a requirement to post sales order changes - ORDCHG. Now, when I am adding the qualifier 002 at the item segment E1EDP01 with the existing Item number, it is creating another Item in the sales order rather than changing the existing one. What could be the reason? I am passing the below values in to the respective segments.
E1EDK01-ACTION = '003' - Changes in one or more items
    E1EDP01-ACTION = '002' Item Changed.
    Please advise.
    Regards,
    Venkata Phani Prasad K

I encountered the same problem.  As Vinit pointed out, it looks up the line item using field POSEX on VBAP instead of POSNR.  If you want to look up POSNR,  you can implement either user-exit ZXVDBU07 or ZXVDBU09 in IDOC_INPUT_ORDCHG and do the following.
Loop through YVBAP and modify the internal table to set POSEX to be equal to POSNR.
This will cause the IDOC to select the correct line item based on POSNR.  The only side-effect is that when the order is updated, it will also update field POSEX on table VBAP.

  • Calling a Sales Order Change BAPI in a Sales Order Exit

    Functional Requirement:
While creating a Sales Order with Reference to another Sales Order, on saving the new sales order, change something in the referenced sales order.
I am trying to achieve the same by doing the following:
In the standard SAP user exit called during saving the new sales order USEREXIT_SAVE_DOCUMENT I am calling the BAPI BAPI_SALESORDER_CHANGE on the referenced Sales Order.
However the BAPI is unable to change the other sales order giving an error Enter the document number. I am specifying the Document Number while calling the BAPI, so I know that is not the error.
I just wish to know whether it is technically possible to call a BAPI to update another Sales Order while we are currently saving one Sales Order.

    Hi Girish,
If it works correctly when run seperately and you are sure the data passed into the BAPI is exactly the same then it may be something like table locks or similar causing your original problems...
What about packaging up your working Z program into a custom function module and calling that from within USEREXIT_SAVE_DOCUMENT as a seperate task (IN NEW TASK) and building in a slight delay of say 5 seconds at the start of your code?
I'll be honest, this isn't an ideal solution but might be sufficient to resolve your issues.  I'd be inclined to see if you could just run your Z program as a background process every 5 minutes or so to capture any changes and perform updates but if this is a no no from your functional people I'm not sure what else to suggest sorry.  I've never personally had to update a document from within the save routine of another document so can't give any advice based on my own experiences sorry.

I am triggering an EDI outbond sales order change.
I am useing ORDCHG and ORDERS05.
While setting up the Outband Partner profile,In the Message conterol tab
what is the Application, message function and process code.
    -The application is V1.
-You should enter in the Messagetype the Outputtype as used in NACE and the Sales Order Output creation. That can be BA00.
Make sure you make 2 entries in the partner profile: one where in the messagecontrol tab the change message Tab is ticked (in case the order changes) and one where it is not ticked (initial change).
-Message functionion can be used optionally, to differentiate to make it unique.
-The Processcode can be SD10 (or ME02 for PO change). You can use the dropdownbox if there is something configred yet.

  • Have to provide a popup when there is a Sales order change(VA02)

    Hello,
I would like to know how to capture Sales order changes(VA02) through an enhancement. Based upon users changes which can be either a addition or deletion in sales order then I have to provide a popup. I am unable to find out whether Sales order has undergone a change or not. Field r185d-dataloss is alway having 'X' whether data has changed or not. System field SY-DATAR is not capturing any deletion is sales order.
I am using USEREXIT_SAVE_DOCUMENT_PREPARE but unable to check sales order is changed or not.
I need to provide popup after user clicks on Save. Tables CDPOS & CDHDR won't have current sales order change.
    Thanks for your replies.

I am using USEREXIT_SAVE_DOCUMENT_PREPARE but unable to check sales order is changed or not.
Donot do any changes and hit save. check if this routine is triggered if you are not changing anything.
In program MV45AF0B_BELEG_SICHERN there is a condition
    IF R185D-DATALOSS = SPACE       FORCE_UPDATE   = SPACE     AND
           UPD_VBUK IS INITIAL        AND
           UPD_VBUP IS INITIAL.
The else part will only tirgger if its changed. The routine USEREXIT_SAVE_DOCUMENT_PREPARE is called in the else part.

  • Sale Order changes View

    Dear Guru's
Is there any T-Code for verifying Sale Order changes (Step wise), as in my company Invoices are generated with lot of changes which not matching with Sale Order conditions. So I would like to moniter the Sale Order conditions changes. Kindly help me out.
    Thanks in advance

    Hi
Sales order changes can be seen in the report only if the changes are made by any user(userid). If your problem is with changes in pricing conditons...then before comparing the sales orders and invoices, I advise you to check the copy controls and the price type used in the copy controls. If the price type selected is to redetermine the pricing, then you should check the validity of the conditon records. Sometimes, the conditon records may be different during sales order creation and invoice creation.
    Thanks,
    Ravi

  • Sales Orders Change Log question

    Hi All,
I am currently working on a project that involves querying SAP Database to get custom reports via web browser, I've made a lot of advances and most of the site is ready but I'm missing just one item that I hope you could help me.
Thing is I am working with the Sales Order change log and the problem comes one a user deletes a row. If I go to the change log inside SAP and see the differences a new record will be shown saying that row X was deleted and
if I go to the database (ADOC and ADO1 tables) I don't have a way to see wich row was deleted.
My way of doing this is to check for the number of rows on the current state of the sales order and check the same on the previous instance of the SO and see if a line was deleted. Then I would have to check row by row between instances what rows are there and what row is missing and store that info. I think this kind of approach will definitively kill the server.
I was wondering if some one can give me a hint about how to approach this problem. Does any body know how SAP works on this area?
I'm working with SAP2005A and SQL Server 2005 Standard Edition.
    Any help is greatly appreciated.
    Thanks!
    Alejandro.-

    Hola Alejandro,
Thanks for your answer, as I see it I'm doing exactly what you proposed but the problem comes with the following scenarios:
a.- If I post a new SO with two lines I will have on the ADO1 table two records with the values 0 and 1 for each line respectively but if I delete the item on LineNum = 1 and then I add a new item, this last item will be also created with LineNum value = 1. This is not a complicated thing to do but the problem comes when the user is used to work with SOs with several items at detail level and is used to add and erase lines once in a while and as I see it it's very difficult for me to track those specific changes. There's also the fact that on the Log table a new instance is created every time the user hits the update button regardless if a modification was actually made or not. I mean I would know that a line was deleted or added but I would have to start comparing each field on each line of a sales order with it's previous instance to check what was actually added/deleted and I'm afraid that this may affect the server performance. I know that SAP does this without affecting to much the system resources and that is what I'm trying to find.
I forgot the other scenario I was considering he he I will post again as soon as I remember it but I hope I'm explaining this ok (I'm not very good at explaining...) If not let me know and I'll try to explain again.
I'm also working on trying to get another approach to see what comes up...
Thanks for checking this thread, your answers are helpful.
    Regards.

  • Authorization at Sales Order Change (Item level)

    Hello Experts,
Is there any standard authorization object at sales order for adding new items? As I want to restrict some users to add new item lines at sales order change ( VA02 )
    Regards,
    Amr

    Hello,
How can I use this object V_VBAK_AAT to disallow users to add
some item lines from VA02 but users can change any other functions
at the sales order (e.g. update pricing conditions)?
As I see on this object V_VBAK_AAT, If I revoked ACTVT = 02 'Change',
It will revoke all change functions from users.
I think the best solution for your requirment would be to seek the help of Basis folk to create a new User ID which would be having access to Change mode of Sales Order (VA02). Then you can restrict addition of Material line item with the help of Technical consultant by putting up code in following User exit. The logic in the code will be addition of Material line item will be restricted if the User Name is the newly created one...
    1:- MV45AFZB -- USEREXIT_CHECK_VBAP
    2:- MV45AFZZ -- USEREXIT_MOVE_FIELD_TO_VBAP
    3:- MV45AFZZ -- USEREXIT_SAVE_DOCUMENT_PREPARE
    Regards,
    Sarthak
PS : On information note, you can refer the t-code SU24 to see the standard authorization object for change mode of Sales Order.
