Trip Form from Universal Worklist displayes an error

Hi,
Situation
We are using ESS/MSS within the Portal 7.0 SP 14. The SAP Backend which we are using is ECC 6.0.
SSO between the Portal and Backend works efficient.
Problem
There are some issues when using the Universal Worklist. All tasks appear in our Universal Worklist from the Backend.
Unfortunately, when trying to open any task we are facing the following error:
com.sap.aii.proxy.framework.core.DataAccessException: Type conversion error, field I_TRIPNUMBER, complex type class com.sap.xss.tra.tri.model.tripform.Ptrm_Web_Form_Pdf_Get_Input
    at com.sap.aii.proxy.framework.core.JcoBaseTypeData.propagateJcoException(JcoBaseTypeData.java:130)
    at com.sap.aii.proxy.framework.core.JcoBaseTypeData.setElementValue(JcoBaseTypeData.java:751)
    at com.sap.tc.webdynpro.modelimpl.dynamicrfc.DynamicRFCModelClass.setAttributeValueAsString(DynamicRFCModelClass.java:669)
    at com.sap.xss.tra.tri.model.tripform.Ptrm_Web_Form_Pdf_Get_Input.setI_Tripnumber(Ptrm_Web_Form_Pdf_Get_Input.java:282)
   at com.sap.xss.tra.tri.fc.tripform.FcTriTripForm.rfcFormPdfGet(FcTriTripForm.java:382)
    ... 65 more
Following steps have been followed up
- The URL parameter of the resource "Employee_travel_tripform_srv05 has the value "sap_xss_tra_UsePdf=true"
- The iView "Display Trip Form" has the application parameter "sap.xss.tra.UsePdf=true"
Question
When a task is opened from the Universal Worklist, the Trip Form must appear in PDF Form.At this stage the iview "Display Trip Form" opens but shows the error mentioned above.
Is there anyone who could help us out?
Any help would be appreciated.

Gene Madikrama

    I have Acrobat 9.5 and when I try to create>pdf from scanner, it displays an error "Adobe acrobat has stopped working". Is there any way I can use this functionality?

    Provide you have Acrobat 9 installed in an OS for which Acrobat 9 is compatible then you can use the functionality.
    As well, you need a scanner connected, powered up, and the software installed. Acrobat 9 "prefers" TWAIN drivers.
    Always visit the scanner vendor's site and download - install the latest greatest software.
    n.b., The Acrobat 9.x product family passed into "End of Support" mid-year 2013.
    As well the Acrobat 9.x product family is not compatible with contemporary OSs.

  • Universal Worklist is showing error

    Hi SAP Guru's
    I have configured workflow for the leave request, and registered system
    under Universal Work list Administration.
    Options under System Administration -> Universal Work list & Workflow
    1) Universal Worklist Administration (working)
    2) Universal Worklist (showing error)
    3) Workflow (workflow)
    When I am clicking Universal Worklist(Option 2), I am getting error
    The specified root item cannot be retrieved from the configuration.
    Correct the entry before trying again.
    I have some questions regarding this error
    1) Is Universal Worklist  only will open after successful configuration of workflow , it is dependent on workflow
    2)Is this is  standard thing in EP 7.0
    3)something wrong configuration for workflow
    Please suggest

    Have you done the system configuration for the landscape
    defined system alias
    ALso please read the Note 779075
    Check the configuration of SAP_WebDynpro_XSS
    The UWL system configuration page includes a Web Dynpro system field,

  • Calling a BSP application from universal worklist

    Hi All,
    I want to call a BSP application, when a workitem is clicked in Universal Worklist(Enterprise Portal)
    I have configured the Task Type in SWFVISU transaction, with Visualization type BSP standard & in visualization parameter i entered,
    APPLICATION = zgelrbsp0001
    PAGE_ID = leso.htm
    When I click on the workitem my test BSP application is called. Buy my requirement is not call a static dynamic application, when the workflow is called the workflow container has a URL
    http://dev01.abc.gov.sg:8000/sap/bc/bsp/sap/hap_document/document_port_wf.htm/
    this URL will change. But I don't know how to configure to call the URL in container. Please let me know how to achieve this.
    Regards,
    H.K.Hayath Basha.

    Hi Raja,
    Thanks for the reply.
    I said wrongly in my earlier mai, my URL is static, but the parameter appl_id  will have different value.
    http://dev01.abc.gov.sg:8000/sap/bc/bsp/sap/hap_document/document_port_wf.htm/?appl_id=1234
    What I have done is similar to the one which you have said, copied the standard BSP and modified, I pass WORKITEM ID to the BSP application, BSP application reads the workflow container for appl_id and sets that value to the BSP application attribute.
    There should be a better way to do this.

    H.K.Hayath Basha.

  • Reports from BI Workspace Display w/ #ERROR or Empty

    One of my users is no longer able to see data in reports when ran from Workspace. She either sees #ERROR in each data cell or the report displays empty. If I run the report, I see the data. I have confirmed the permissions on the report are set to Read for the World group. These reports were running fine for her last week. Any ideas what could be wrong? Is there a DELETEPOV equivalent in 11.1.2?
    Thanks.
    Terri Taylor

    Her POV was set up just like mine. She logged into Workspace from my laptop and was able to run the report fine. We had her delete her Internet temporary files and then she was able to successfully run the report. Strange.

  • Universal Worklist displays Items of Inactive Employees

    Hi,
        Is there a way where we can configure the system to display tasks of only active Employees on the Portal UWL. currently some of the EEs have left company and still the managers see their leave requests in the UWL.
    Thanks
    Amandeep

    Hello Amandeep,
    This is not a configuration, you will need to build this into the workflow as a custom terminating event.
    On the other hand, is this really such a big problem? I don't see why people should be requesting leave for periods after they have left the company.... If it is a once-off or only happens rarely, rather just cancel the WFs manually which should be less work than building a solution for a situation which shouldn't really happen.
    Hope that helps,
    Mike

  • How to send error message to forms from Database Trigger

    Hi, Please help me to send error message to forms from Database Trigger?
    RgDs,
    Madesh.R.M

    You are correct, the On-Error trigger is a Forms trigger. However, if your Form is going to display the error generated by the database stored procedure or trigger - you might not see the database error in your Form unless you check the DBMS_ERROR_CODE in the On-Error trigger and manually display the Error Code and associated Text. I've see this happen with a co-worker. The Form she was working on was based on a table with an Before-Insert trigger. Because she was not explicitely handling the error from the Before-Insert trigger in the Forms On-Error trigger, her Form appeared to halt for no reason at all. Once she added code to the On-Error trigger in the Form to handle the DBMS_ERROR_CODE, she discovered the trigger was producing an error and was able to show the error to the user in the On-Error trigger.
    I understand the desire to keep as much as possbile in the database, but with that comes some extra coding in your Forms to handle this. This extra coding could easily be placed in a Forms Library, attached to a Form and called in the On-Error trigger. Your code could look like this:
    DECLARE
       /*This example assumes you have an Alert defined
          in your Form called: 'ERROR' */
       al_id    ALERT;
       al_text  VARCHAR2(200);  /* Max text of a Forms Alert message*/
       al_btn   NUMBER;
    BEGIN
    IF DBMS_ERROR_CODE != 0 THEN
       /* Error code is ORA-00000 Normal Successful completion
           So only handle non-zero errors  */
       al_text := DBMS_ERROR_CODE||':'||DBMS_ERROR_TEXT;
       al_id := Find_Alert('ERROR');
       set_alert_property(al_id, alert_message_text, al_text);
       al_btn := show_alert(al_id);
    END IF;
    END;Your original question was "How to send error message to forms from Database Trigger?" The answer is you don't because Forms already gets the database error code and database message through the Forms DBMS_ERROR_CODE and DBMS_ERROR_TEXT functions. Look these up in the Forms help and it should clear things up for you.

  • Link to Object (Lead) from workitem in Universal worklist

    Hello.  We have a workflow that sends workitems (dialog tasks) to a users inbox in SAP portal.  If I open the workitem from Universal worklist and then click the link inside the workitem to take me to the object (CRM Lead or Business Activity), I get "page not found".   However, if I click this same link after opening the workitem in business workplace (SBWP), I'm taken to the object fine as I expect.   Anyone know why the object link from UWL does not work?   Or where it's configured?
    Note, if I click an object link in UWL for an item that was generated from ECC (say for Document, Material Master, etc), I'm taken to the object just fine.  Our issue seems narrowed to the combination of CRM and Universal worklist.
    Thanks.

    Hi,
    Did u check under
    Content Admin -> Webdynpro , the component ess~lea and the application LeaveRequestApprover are in status green.
    Also check the correspinding JCO connections tab.
    I presume that you have installed the ESS, MSS and PCUI GP patches.

  • Customizing of Universal Worklist (UWL) Preview

    Hello,
    i have to customize the UWL preview, that is shown in the portal for every work item below the list view.
    The customization shall be done only for the current project, so there are only a few worksteps involved that should use the customized preview.
    I already read the UWV configuration documentation, but i hav absolutely no clue how i can do the customization if it is possible at all.
    What i have to achieve:
    - remove Buttons from the workitem preview (e.g. forward)
    - remove attributes from the workitem preview (e.g. priority)
    - the configuration shall only be done for specific work items because other projects want to see the preview.
    Can you please help or point me to some documentation/ guide?

  • Getting an error when tried to access task form from worklist app

    Hi All,
    I am using 10.1.3.4 BPEL PM. I have created a bpel process with a human task.
    From the worklist application, when the approver clicks on: Task Id (ideally it should open task form).
    In my case, I am getting an error:
    Error while inoking URL to display the content. Error while invoking URL. http://bluejays.appsassociates.com:7780/default/EditPayloadPOC1/v2009_05_21__82618/EditPayloadPOC1/EditPayloadPOC1.jsp Check the underlying exception and correct the error. Contact oracle support if error is not fixable..
    If you need more information, please check with your administrator with the following exception-identifier: "2009/05/21_12:16:43:777_oc4jadmin"
    It works fine in SOA suite 10.1.3.1. and does not work in BPEL PM 10.1.3.4
    The only difference is I deployed in 10.1.3.1 using Ant script of bpel project and in 10.1.3.4 I deployed using the BPEL Console itself by browsing the project jar(Since I am getting error when tried to deploy it using Ant).
    Is it a known bug or am I making anything wrong. Tried with both Autogeneration and Custom form
    I followed: http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E11036_01/integrate.1013/b28981/workflow.htm#BABCBAEI
    Thanks
    Sakrishna Panuganti

    Hi does your bpel process has more than one human tasks, e.g., HumanTask1, HumanTask2, HumanTask3...then pl. check and manually fix this below ...e.g.,
    check for all of the human tasks workflow contexts tasks forms for dynamic pointers for
    domain_id, process_id, process_version.
    edit public_html/HumanTask1/form/ear/META-INF/application.xml
    <web-uri>workflowform.war</web-uri>
    <conteit-root>/${domain_id}/${process_id}/${process_revision}/HumanTask1</context-root>
    edit public_html/HumanTask2/form/ear/META-INF/application.xml
    <web-uri>workflowform.war</web-uri>
    <conteit-root>/${domain_id}/${process_id}/${process_revision}/HumanTask2</context-root>
    edit vi public_html/HumanTask3/form/ear/META-INF/application.xml
    <web-uri>workflowform.war</web-uri>
    <conteit-root>/${domain_id}/${process_id}/${process_revision}/HumanTask3</context-root>
    and deploy the process again via jdeveloper or preferably via ant script and try, it worked just fine for us.
