TRM - Balance Sheet Transfer Long to Short.

Hello pals.
I´m facing a situation with the logic with balance sheet transfer movements. The customizing is releated do transfer installment and final repayments and interest accrual movements.
Example:
Money Market Borrowing contract:
08.10.2010 - $1.200.000,00
C - Borrowing Long Term - $1.200.000
D - Bank clearing account - $1.200.000
let´s say the contract is valid for 5 years. The companie´s concept of short term is 12 months.
We had the borrowing all posted/considered in Long Term, but they need to have the following treatment when start repayments:
They need to transfer the borrowing amount related to 12 months to Short Term automatically:
C - Borrowing Short Term - $240.000
D - Borrowing Long Term - $240.000
because, the repayment must be done considering Short Term and not the Long Term.
I´ve already checked a bunch of SAP notes including 1377341 1496143 1035579 but didn´t see anything related to transfer contract principal amounts.
Does anybody know if we can have this behavior customized in a standard way?
Any suggestion is appreciated.
Thanks a lot.
Volnei.

Hi Volnei,
time-dependant account assignment is not yet possible in standard applications. There is only the additional localized solution for Brasil to do balance-sheet transfer, which you already found in notes.
You may try to do account assignment transfer or valuation class transfer.
Further, you may try to manipulate update types using BAdI FTR_TR_GENERIC for the flows depending on the due term.

  • Transfer normal balance sheet accounts to PCA

    Hi All,
Following 4 T-codes are available for transfer of balance sheet accounts from FI to PCA
    1KEH                  EC-PCA: Transfer Material Stocks
    1KEI                   EC-PCA: Transfer Assets
1KEJ                  EC-PCA: Transfer Work in Process
    1KEK                 EC-PCA: Transfer Payables/Receivables
How do i transfer any other balance sheet account to PCA [other than through Default Profit Center (3keh)]
    Regards,
    Shridhar.

Hi Daniela, hi All, because this is my first posting I would like to introduce myself. I'm working with SAP since 1996, I'm certified FI and CO. I used to work as a consultant for six years and now I'm Inhouse SAP with Gerresheimer. http://www.gerresheimer.de/en/home.html
We are supporting our people around the world and also we are putting in new SAP systems in our organisation. Currently we have three different clients world wide, with different organizational levels. We are on SAP ECC 6.0 however not using the new GL yet.
    So far so good ;-)..
    ===========
We are currently in the US trying to switch on balance sheet accounting for PCA due to business unit requirements.
    We've got:
    - Assets
    - Material
    - AP and AR
working! All with periodic transfer which we found more stable then online. When created the opening balances did match for AP and assets to FI and AR and material were just a little bit of, that was great.
Now we are running into the problem with all the other balance sheet accounts and still we are reading documentation, OSS Notes and all kind of stuff, but still we have problems. The issues are:
    - Do we have to assign every account in 3KEH which is not covered by assets, ap/ar, and material? We tested it with a bank account and it is working, but the table in 3KEH only gives you the option of one PC, plus you can use derivation rule. Ok, there is a user exit but we are not sure about that...
    - Why can't we use the profit center which is populated in the balance sheet account? Every BS account has the radio button 'profit center required' for example we have an accrual account in the PC is in there, we can see it, put when we move the FI document over with 1KE8 nothing happens.
    - On the other hand we had an account and it was just working the way I described with 1KE8, the document was moved over to PCA.
We are really a little bit confused, since assets, AP/AR and material worked so well, we seem to be blocked on the other accounts and not sure what is the best way to go.
    Any response is highly appreciated!
With best regards and all the best,
    Thomas

    ======================================
We have got it working 100% looks nice...
    basically the answer :
'- Do we have to assign every account in 3KEH which is not covered by assets, ap/ar, and material? '
    is YES.
    Thanks and regards,

  • PROFIT CENTER ACCOUNTING-BALANCE SHEET ITEMS TRANSFER

    Dear all.
SAP describe as forllows about set up the opening balance for materials:
In this activity, you set up the opening balance for materials.
The system determines the material stock balance from Materials Management and posts it to Profit Center Accounting.
After setting up the opening balance, it is advisable to post the changes in the material stock balance online to Profit Center Accounting, as this simplifies reconciliation with Financial Accounting.
However, you can also transfer the material stock balance to Profit Center Accounting periodically.
I want to know how can i  transfer the material stock balance to Profit Center Accounting periodically?
    Thanks!

    Dear Chen
You can utilise the reports to transfer the balance sheet items periodically. pl  try this report to transfer the materials periodically S_ALR_87013348.
I hope it will suffice to resolve your querry.

  • Transfer figures on balance sheet accounts from FI to PCA via 1KEK

    Hello all,
at first sorry for my english.
    SOS! I need help.
We make transfer dates from FI to PCA for customer/ vendor reconciliation accounts. We made 1KEK run in period 5 and everything was ok. But after the run for period 6  the calculated figures are summing up period 5 + 6.  For example in FI GL period 5 - 1000 euro, period 6 - 400 euro. Test run 1kek for period 6 shows 1400. So we have difference between FI and PCA 1000 euro. For every next period the dates are summing up from first transfered period to current period.
May be anybody know such problem and can help me.
    BR
    Anna Grudinina

The following balance sheet items can be transferred online in realtime:
    Material stocks
    Assets
    Work in process
Other balance sheet items (transaction-based only)
The system posts balance postings directly to Profit Center Accounting from online postings which directly affect the balances of assets, materials and work in process. If you have line items in Profit center Accounting, the system updates a profit center document for each reference document (e.g. MM or FI document).
We can transfer the following balance sheet items to Profit Center Accounting in the standard SAP system at end of period:
      Payables and receivables

I am using final cut express 4. It seems that any clip over a certain length, say 5 min, does not fully transfer! All shorter clips are perfectly fine. Is there some reason why longer clips are not fully transferred? (a half blue circle shows up on the transfer list, indicating that the clip was not fully transferred. When I check in the capture scratch folder, sure enough the whole clip is not there!
Is there some glitch in final cut express that only allows short clips to be transferred in full?

Thanks for the reply. I'll try to answer all the questions (I am a relative novice). Your help is appreciated.
By the way, the other reply I received suggested the following:
In Final Cut Express>System Settings>Scratch Discs make sure the Limit Capture/Export File Segement Size To: is not checked.
I did this and it was already unchecked. So this is not the answer...
The strange thing is, I have been logging and transferring with FCE for 2 yrs without any problems at all with shorter clips, but have come up against the problem with long clips (over 5 or so min)  the whole time. I got around it by simply making sure I stopped recording after less than 5 min while shooting footage. OR if I accidentally got a long clip, I import into imovie and then import into FCE. Not very streamline and I worry about compressions altering quality!
I am now trying to import a 20 min and a 17 min clip and it only transfers around 3 minutes of each, I have re-tried several times and it happens repeatedly. The blue circle in the transfer list shows up as a half blue circle instead of full. Clip cuts off after 3 or so minutes.

  • How to transfer current year profit to the Balance sheet in BPC 7.5nw

    Dear Experts,
I have  maintained script logic for current year profit transfer to Balance sheet. How to check my self whether the profit is moved or not properly. I ran the Legal Consolidation package. This was success. Now how to check by giving the test data values and what combination I have to use in Current view and In Input schedule.  I have maintained two cubes that is moments and Balances cubes. or else through input schedule how can i test with test data. or advise me clearly the steps to execute.
    Regards,
    GURU

    Hi,
The current year profit should automatically be transferring to your reserves whenver you have data for your P&L accounts.
The net effect of your income and expense accounts should be tranferred to your reserves account as per your script logic.
    Thanks,

  • Exchange Rate difference in Balance Sheet-Revaluation in Foreign Currency

    Hi
I wanted more clarification on the Exchange rate difference the system calculates when we generate a balance sheet and revalue at a fixed rate. The system does not give a breakup of the echange rate calculated. How do we arrive at the exchange rate.
And after having the exchange rate entries posted in the system. Can the system the show these values in the Balance sheet after Revaluation

    Dear Gordan
Below mentioned is  the balance sheet which is Revaluated in Euro(System Currency)at a Fixed Rate of 1.42.
at the end of this report we can see that the system has calculated Exchange rate difference as Euro -66483.03 .We want a break up of that amount which is calculated by the system

  • Wrong assignment of Balance sheet accounts for Asset Classes...

    dear all,
there is wrongly assignment of acquisition balance sheet account in asset class in t code is AO85 that is, Acquisition:Acquis. and production costs an Accumulated Depreciation Balance sheet account have been assigned. Also in t code  AO93 for ordinary depreciation same correct accumulated depreciation Balance sheet account have been assigned.
Now i can say that Acquisition balance sheet account and accumulated depreciation balance sheet account are assigned with same GL (i.e. accumulated depreciation account).
The transactions data have been posted for the asset class with different tcodes i.e.
ABAVN Enter asset transaction: Asset Retirement
    OASV Enter Transfer Posting
    AIBU   AUC Settlement
ABUM Enter asset transaction: Transfer in company code
    AB08 Documents from asset
I wanted to post transaction data with correct acquisition account. What should i do to correct posted transactions..
    Waiting for positive response.
    regards
    saqib usman

The best way is to create a new asset class and to transfer the existing assets.
An other option is to change the G/l account in the development system and transport to production. In development it is only possible to this when there are no posting in this asset class. When there are posting you have the option to reset in development asset accounting. Then you can change the G/L account. Have a look to SAP-notes with your error there is a note for.
When the changes are in production you can make a manual correction with the transaction ABF1 (SAP note 69225).
With this option you have the problem that the original postings are no longer in line with the asset account assignment. When you want to do a currency conversion in the future you have to make correction posting again in the old fiscal year

  • Profit Center wise balance sheet and Profit and Loss account

    Hi Experts,
    I will explain my scenario
The is cleint having Head Office for handling procurement of goods for all branches(8) and the physical delivery happens for goods at the requested branch and GR and IR also makin at the branch level.
And we are treated each branch as profit center apart from HO(profit center). But the vendor payment should be happen from HO(prfoit center) so and they are not using automatic payment programme.
    My question is
1.While doing the vendor (Branch)payment from Cash/Bank GL (HO) how the balances will be tallied ?
2.If I am using the document splitting and zero balance document clearing will it tally at the profit center level ?
3.At the period end if I will do the 1KEK T Code to transfer the payables to the profit center which profit center system will take for posting ?
Please advice me in this and I will give good points with correct answer.

    Hi Edukondalu Garu,
Please find answers to your questions below:
1.While doing the vendor (Branch)payment from Cash/Bank GL (HO) how the balances will be tallied ?
Answer: The Profit Center balances will get automatically tallied due to document splitting and Zero balance account being defined properly.  The automatically identifies it
2.If I am using the document splitting and zero balance document clearing will it tally at the profit center level ?
Answer: Yes that is the main criteria to get full fledged Balance sheet and P&L account by Profit Center
3.At the period end if I will do the 1KEK T Code to transfer the payables to the profit center which profit center system will take for posting ?
Anwer: With Document Splitting, you don't have to do the period end transaction in PC to transfer the account payables, accouts receivables and fixed assets.  The transfer is online and real time basis.
I hope i answered all your questions.
Please feel free to get in touch with me if you need futher clarifications

  • Function types for Balance Sheet Planning missing in SEM-BPS 6.0

    Hi BPS experts,
After upgrading our BI-system from SEM 4.0 to SEM 6.0 (level 10) as part of the upgrade from BW 3.5 to BI 7.0 (level 15), the BPS function types for balance sheet planning are not available in the planning environment (Transaction code BPS0).
According to the SAP Library the balance sheet planning functions in SEM-BPS comprises of 6 standard function types - one of them is "Depreciation":
    <a href="http://help.sap.com/saphelp_sem60/helpdata/en/0a/242537cedf2056e10000009b38f936/frameset.htm">help.sap.com -> Business Planning and Simulation (BW-BPS)</a>
Menu path: Business Planning Functions -> Functions for Balance Sheet Planning
In our existing SEM 4.0 we are using "Depreciation" and the functions based on this function type are of course short dumping when executed in our upgraded system (SEM 6.0) as the function type does not exist here.
Odd though - we do have the function type "Allocation" available in SEM 6.0, which should be delivered with SEM together with the Balance Sheet Planning function types (It is listed directly under "Business Planning Functions" in the SAP Library) .
I have tried to figure out whether we missed out on activating something during or after the system installation, but our basis consultant has not found anything in the installation guides related to this issue. Also I was wondering whether it could be a simple matter of activating some Business Content but without any luck.
Does anybody know why the Balance Sheet Function Types are not available in SEM-BPS 6.0?
    Kind regards,
    Lars

  • Report to retrieve balance sheet accounts in foreign and local currencies?

    Hello,
I have question regarding the availability of a report in SAP. I am wondering if a report exists in SAP to retrieve the total outstanding balances on any given date for all the balance sheet accounts (including GRIR trade) in both functional and foreign currency.
I am currently using the FAGLL03 to do this but the problem is that this report is timing out when I select too many accounts.
Does anyone know if such a report exists in SAP (besides the FAGLL03 which takes too long to run)?
Thanks in advance for your answer.

    Hi
A quick way is to  run FAGLL03 in the background as a scheduled job.

  • Trial Balance, P&L and Balance sheet at plant level and profit center Level

    HI Expert,
My Client has multiple plants under same company code, hence need the Trial balance, P&L and Balance sheet at plant level
Is it possible in sap to have the Plant level financial report without using the Business area concept.
Secondly  each product is identified as profit center and in every transactions each transaction is corectly mapped to profit center, without using the F.5d (Transfer the BS items to Profit center) will it be possible to have the Trial balance, P&L a/c
and Balance sheet at profit center level. If possible what is the T-code which will give such reports.
    Thanks & Regards

plant is not an FI concept, you need Business Area's
any PC report should show revenue, COGS. BS items need to be transferred.
