Are you talking about building a chip simulator in
java, or are you really talking about executing
assembly code in java?
The first is possible, but you'd probably need to code
it. The second is not possible without JNIReally..neither..I just wanted the java equivalent for that C-Intercal routine.
Umm.. Maybe I could write a java wrapper for the c-intercal libraries...or JNI might be an option...anyone else have any ideas?

    I hava found this VBSCript. But I like to work on
    java.Is it possible to convert this into java code.Yes, it is possible to convert the VBScript program in to Java code. You need to identify what the program (script) does and what the other programs are doing as well. (You said the VBscript calls other programs on remote machines). After this, design a way to implement same functionality with Java.
    Basically the script runs something in the remote
    machine.What "something"?
    If its possible ,would u pls tell me what
    special package I need ??It is possible, in order to convert the VBScript program to Java, you will have to create a Java package to contain the class hiearchy, i.e. com.admin.install.*
    And of course you will need packages from J2SE and possibly J2EE. The Runtime and Process classes from J2SE are examples what is available. These objects can be used to used to call the other programs. Your design will depend on details of the other programs.
    Do you plan on converting the "install.ba" program to Java as well?

    can anyone do it for me.
    thx in anticipation

    Sunish,
    On your problem, check in the String class documentation the method replaceAll(), you can solve your problem in just one line of code.
    As for why the serious poster(the ones that are here to help, for many year, instead of just disrupting the forum) do not give you code is that they are here to help people learning and not to give free code.
    You help a person to learn, when you provide this person with the tools to research and help the person to think out of his problem, so that in the future the learning person can repeat the process by herself instead of going after finnished solution everytime he needs it.
    May the code be with you.

    I have a problem I hope someone can help me with. I have a document with a lot of large scale maps 11x 17 paper size (which were saved as PDFs) before they were put into the document. When I tried creating a PDF of this Doc. 8 of these large maps didn't get included or in some cases only small  parts of the map, a dot or an arrow show but nothing else.
    I tried taking it to Staples but they couldn't help. We tried creating a PDF by scanning it page by page.  It worked but the file size is to big to send through  channels (government). When I tried opening it with Preview 5 and saving it as a PDF and using the quartz filter to reduced the size but the quality made it unreadable.
    This govenment office I have to send this report to cannot take anything bigger than 20mb.
    Does anyone have any sugestions?

    Sorry.
    actually this is my coding on the bottom.
    Pleease disregard my previous coding. I got the different one.
    My first approach is using <% %> around the whole doGet method such as:
    <%
    String[] ids = { "hall001", "hall002" };
    setItems(ids);
    setTitle("All-Time Best Computer Books");

    %>
    I am not sure how to break between code between
    return;
    and
    response.setContentType("text/html");
    Here is my coding:
    public void doGet(HttpServletRequest request,
    HttpServletResponse response)
    throws ServletException, IOException
         String[] ids = { "hall001", "hall002" };
         setItems(ids);
         setTitle("All-Time Best Computer Books");
    if (items == null) {
    response.sendError(response.SC_NOT_FOUND,
    "Missing Items.");
    return;
    response.setContentType("text/html");
    PrintWriter out = response.getWriter();
    String docType =
    "<!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC \"-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.0 " +
    "Transitional//EN\">\n";
    out.println(docType +

    item = items;
    if (item == null) {

    } else {

  • Converting sed regex to Java regex

    I am new to reguler expressions.I have to write a regex which will do some replacements
    If the input string is something like test:[email protected];value=abcd
    when I apply the regex on it,this string should be changed to test:[email protected];value=replacedABC
    I am trying to replace test.com and abcd with the values i have supplied...
    The regex I have come up with is in sed
    s/\(^.*@\)\(.*\)$/\1replaceTest.com;value=replacedABC/i
    Now I am trying to get the regex in Java,I would think it will be something like (^.*@\)(.*\)$\1replaceTest.com;value=replacedABC
    But not sure How i can test this.Any idea on how to make sure my java regex is valid and does the required replacements?

    rsv-us wrote:
    Yep.Agreed.
    Since that these replacements should be done in a single regex.Note that the sed replacement I posted is really made of two replacements! Just like your Java solution would.
    I think once we send this regex to the third party,they will haev to use either sed or perl(will perl do this replacements,not sure though) to get the output.
    Since we are not sure what tool/software the third party is going to use,I was trying to see how i can really test this.Then I read about sed and this regex as is didn't work,so,I had to put all the sed required / and then the regex had become like s/\(^.*@\)\(.*\)$"/1replaceTest.com;value=replacedabcd/iAgain: AFAIK that does not work. I tried it like this:
    {code}$ echo test:[email protected];value=abcd | sed 's/\(^.*@\)\(.*\)$"/1replaceTest.com;value=replacedabcd/i'and the following is returned:test:[email protected] that we will have to send the java regex to the third party,I was trying to see how i can convert this sed regex to java.If I am right,with jave regex,we won;t be able to all the finds and replacements in a single regex..right?...If this is true,this will leave me a question of whether I need to send the sed regex to the thrid party or If I send java regex,they have to convert that to either sed or perl regex.
    One more question,can we do thse replacement in perrl also,if so,what will the equivalent regex for this in perl?
    I can't understand what you are talking about. The large amount of spelling errors also doesn't help to make it clearer.
    Good luck though.

    I'm having troubles converting my raw files from Nikon D5200 (NEF) to DNG. I tried using Lightroom 4, but it didn't identify the folder containing the files. So i downloaded the latest DNG converter but that too didn't identify the files kept in the folder location. So I downloaded DNG converter v7.3 for D5200. It identifies the folder and files; but it is giving me parsing error on trying to convert files. I'm running Windows Vista Home Edition SP1. Kindly advise. Thank you.

    I probably missed this detail in what you’ve posted, but do you see the thumbnails of the three cameras’ raw files in Finder if you don’t convert to DNG?
    What has happened in the past is that the Apple raw interpreter doesn’t read thumbnails of DNGs it doesn’t like, where at least one thing it didn’t used to like was embedded lens corrections for mirrorless cameras.  Are the Olympus and Panasonic mirrorless—meaning there is no optical viewfinder and everything is seen on an LCD screen or perhaps an electronic view finder?  If so the reason these are different is that the camera is doing the lens distortion corrections automatically and this information is stored in the raw files and in the DNGs but Apple doesn’t know how to use these embedded lens corrections or doesn’t know how to read the newer DNG spec that does allow for this information to be embedded in the DNG, at least.
    Apple could just extract the embedded jpg preview and ignore the other parts of the file it doesn’t understand, but it apparently doesn’t do this.
    What I’m not sure about is if the Apple raw interpreter still has this problem or if you’re on an older system without the latest updates for camera raw decoding by Apple.

  • Trouble converting MS SQL 7 ntext to 10g CLOBs

    Hola -
    Using OMWB 10.1.0.2, and I'm having trouble converting over SQL 7 ntext fields to CLOBS; I either wind up with a single character in the CLOB field, the first character in the SQL field, or all text is brought over with spaces in between (represented by some odd character I haven't fully checked out yet, but it shows up onscreen as a box).
    I'm in the early stages of checking this out, but any greneral ideas or directions for testing/solving this difficulty would be greatly appreciated, many thanks.

    Hi James,
    S a m p l e T e x t
    After futher investigation, I determined
    that these are not spaces but a null character
    ascii code "0".This data is in Unicode, so you see a null char after each character in text editor.
    It is normal.
    Seems you data were transferred well.
    If the original data is not in Unicode, change the database character set to ASCII.
    Or please make sure that SQL Server NTEXT was converted to CLOB, not NCLOB. NCLOB is always Unicode.

    There is nothing unusual about the Word document, it is a .doc from Word 2003 and I have made other PDFs in the past with no problem.  Any help would be greatly appreciated!

    Hello Michelle,
    I'm sorry you're having trouble; it looks like our server is having a hard time recognizing that your file is, in fact, a Word document. Can you verify that the document opens in Word from your desktop?
    Thanks very much,

  • Error converting CF int to JAVA long

    Hi,
    I am calling a java method in my code that expects a
    parameter of type long (64 bit).
    If I pass a large int from ColdFusion (i.e. 10000000000) I
    get the following error:
    Could not convert the value 1.0E10 to an integer because it
    cannot fit inside an integer.
    I understand that CF integers are 32 bit so I tried to use
    the javacast function as follows:
    TestPaymentVO.setTestAmount(javacast("long", form.testAmt);
    but I still get the same error.
    Is there ANY way past this????
    Any help would be much apprecieated.
    Thanks.

    Ran into the JavaCast-long problem a while ago & then
    wrote the following article:
    http://kuhn.cf-workshop.de/CF_BUGS/JavaCast_long.htm
    Don't really see a general solution though, my solutions were
    either to call another function (int-input) or write pieces of code
    in java to handle the long-datatype there.
    For ex. a java-function reveiving a string, converting the
    string to java-long, then calling the desired java-function.

  • Matisse Compiler ...convert xml files into java files.....

    We have a matisse compiler which reads the *.xml files and converts this into *.java files. Do we have a plugin
    for this compiler which can by used with MyEclipse or Eclipse.

    Does anybody know how to convert x.class file back to a x.java file.As Dr.Clap said, that's decompiling.
    Or in other terms, extract .java files from a jarfile??That isn't quite the same thing. You can decompile a .class that's in a jar, but a .class file doesn't have to be in a jar and a file in a jar isn't necessarily a .class.

  • Converting oracle forms into java forms

    Hi all,,
    would help me plz on how to convert oracle forms into java using any tool;
    Is Jheadstart is the tool,, im having jeveloper version 10.1.2.1.0

    There are at least two companies that are marketing Forms to Java conversion tools. I'm sure that a good Google search will locate them, and they are frequent exhibitors at Oracle-oriented conferences like Collaborate and ODTUG Kaleidoscope. But there are problems associated with doing this. I urge anyone who is considering such a project to read this article by Grant Ronald: http://www.oracle.com/technology/products/forms/pdf/10gR2/formsmigration.pdf
    You should carefully ask yourself and your clients and management, "Why do you want to do this?", "What benefits are you trying to realize?", "Does this make sense, and are there other options that we should be exploring?"
    For instance, many people are trying to protect themselves because "Forms is going away". Oracle has stated again and again that Forms is NOT going away. In fact the recent Fusion Middleware 11g release included a new version of Forms with some significant enhancements. You may do very well just by upgrading to the latest version of Forms.
    If you do decide that it still makes sense to convert, I suggest that rather that converting, you may want to redevelop from scratch. Keep the database if it is well designed - a well designed, stable database will outlast any front end that you may use against it. Then take full advantage of the capabilities of your new toolset, and leave behind the limitations and inapplicable methodologies of your old one. Oh, by the way, don't use JDeveloper 10.1.2. Use 11g if you can, or 10.1.3.5 if you must.
