Trouble to use COOIS with date fields

Hi,
Some trouble to use Tcode COOIS, which could provide a lot of information on Production Workflow. When
indicating a date in one of the date fields, datas pulled do not fit with the criteria. For example, if the 08082011
is entered, the report provides informations on postings created the 08082011 and lateru2026 Is there any idea to
fix the problem or to understand why.

Hi,
Please note that In COOIS, yes you donot have creation date / confirmation posting date.
You can sort the production orders wrt basic start dates / finish dates.
Select the basic start date column, rt click and click sort in ascending or descending order
Refer the OSS note Note 434123 and 615206 - Filling and displaying own fields in information system

  • Problem with date fields in where clause after changing driver

    Hi,
    We have changed the oracle driver we use to version 10
    and now we have some trouble with date-fields.
    When we run this SQL query from our Java program:
    select *
    from LA_TRANS
    where LA_TRANS.FROM_DATE>='20040101' AND LA_TRANS.FROM_DATE<='20041231'
    We get this error code:
    ORA-01861: literal does not match format string
    The query worked fine whit the previous driver.
    Is there some way I can run a SQL query with date fields
    as strings in the where clause?
    Thanks!

    Keeping the argument of standard SQL or not aside, comparing DATE columns to a constant string (which looks like a date in one of the thousands of the formats available, but not in others) is NOT one of the best programming practices and leads to heartburn and runtime errors (as you have seen yourself).
    I would rather compare a DATE to a DATE.
    Also, constants like that would be another issue to fix in your code:

  • How to use Count with Date Parameters

    Hello,
    I am having issues using the Count() function in conjunction with date parameters.
    This is a Siebel report and in my report I have 2 date parameters(From Date, To Date). In a nutshell I am basically trying to count Opportunities that has a start date within the given date period. However I don't see a reasonable way to put my date parameters within the Count() function. The reason being is that I need to have a huge chunk of code to convert the dates into a common format that can be compared, and it won't even fit within the code block in my rtf template. I am not even sure how to put multiple conditional statements inside a Count() function since all the examples I have seen are very simple.
    Anyone have a suggestion on how to use Count() with date parameters?
    Thanks.

    Any chance you can get the date formats in the correct format from siebel?
    I don't know Siebel - so I can't help you with that. If you get the correct format it is just
    <?count(row[(FromDate>=date) and  (date<=ToDate))?>
    Otherwise the approach would probably need to use string function to get year/monthd/day from the date
    and store it into a varialbe and compare later the same way
    <?variable@incontext:from; ....?>
    <?variable@incontext:to; ...?>
    <?count(row[($from>=date) and  (date<=$to))?>
    Potentially you can use the date functions such as xdofx:to_date to do the conversion
    [http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E12844_01/doc/bip.1013/e12187/T421739T481158.htm]
    But I am not sure if they are available in your siebel implementation.
    Hope that helps

  • Can i Use a time stamp vale  in where condition with date field?

    HI,
    In a where condition the table field vale is of type timestamp and select options value is of type date.
    How do i select data?

    Define a range for r_dt for timestamp field.
    Initailize the range with the below values.
    r_dt-sign = 'I'.
    r_dt-option = 'CP'.
    concatenate r_date-low '*' into r_dt-low.
    concatenate r_date-high '*' into r_dt-high.
    append r_dt.
    Use r_dt in your select query where clause.
    Note - r_date is the select-option for your date field.

  • Problem with Date fields in Search panel

    Hi all,
    I use TP2 and in my jspx page I have a search panel with two date fields and table where the results is displayed. But there is a problem with these date fields, because when I search dates the results is nothing even I retype the date from table. Also I have other pages where this problem exist with same structure.
    Could somebody help me with some advice?
    Thanks in advance!

    Hi Frank,
    Thanks for the answer.
    I use the standart method to make search panel with drag and drop the data control to the page. The other search panel fileds work fine, only the date fileds are problem. Maybe something in view object doesn't work properly.
    Here I post the code from my page.

  • Error when using LOV on date-field (qms0012F)

    We are using QMS0012F.fmb (Headstart Template Package 6.5) to
    launch all our reports. However, when a date-parameter is
    defined as the last field in this form and when you select a
    date using the LOV (windows-calendar), an error appears: 'FRM-
    41051, you cannot create records here'. Therefore, when
    possible, we defined the date-parameters as the first one in
    row. In a couple of reports this is practically not possible,
    simply because the date-field is the only one which has to be
    filled. Is there a property to adjust or another solution to
    solve this?
    By the way: happy new year!

    The Designer library ofgcall65 contains a package calendar, which contains a procedure close_calendar.
    This procedure does a NEXT_ITEM (to implement an AUTO_SKIP) as its last action.
    You will need to correct the problem with a customization to that library.

  • Materialized view fast refresh with date field

    I have a situation where I need to create a materialized view worth of 6 months of data with fast refresh option from the master table. Somehow whenever I have the where clause added with the date field then it craps out with "ORA-12015: cannot create a fast refresh materialized view from a complex query".
    Here is what I am trying to do. Please let me know if there is any other way to accomplish this.
    create table test (id number, date_time DATE);
    CREATE MATERIALIZED VIEW LOG ON test WITH ROWID;
    CREATE MATERIALIZED VIEW cms.scoreboard_statistics_mv
    BUILD IMMEDIATE
    REFRESH FAST
    WITH ROWID
    AS
    SELECT * from test
    WHERE date_time >= sysdate - 180;
    ORA-12015: cannot create a fast refresh materialized view from a complex query
    Thanks,
    Raj

    It's crazy but a new time Metalink help us into the Note:179466.1
    The restrictions that prevent snapshots from being fast refreshed depend on
    the version of Oracle being used, a full list of these by version is included
    in section 3. In all cases the snapshot defining query should:
    - refer to fully qualified table names rather than to partial table names.
    - refer to remote tables only, not to remote master views or synonyms.
    - not generate context sensitive data. For example, do not create a simple
    snapshot with a query that uses the SQL functions :SYSDATE, UID or USER.

  • Email Notification with date field

    Hi,
    i marked the a field as Display field this way it is displayed in the Email notification. (%Records%).
    But i can see the letral date field displayed in email as 2010:03:09:00:00:00:000
    Why is the ''00:00:00:000'' displayed when i have a date field??
    Did anyone face this issue..
    KR
    John

    HI John,
    Date field in MDM is 18 characters long and has date as well as time component to it.
    You can use assignment to trim this and transfer its value to another field and make that field as DF,so that it is displayed in the mail as date.
    Otherwise you can also create a calculated field for this purpose.
    Please go through this very useful link to create expressions/validations with dates:

  • CR XI uses the wrong data field after save/close-open

    I have a quite complex CR XI report (35 sections).  It has 2 embedded sub-reports, connects via ODBC to Sybase, and uses a long and complex SQL statement as a Database Command.  After a fairly small number of edits and saves (I guess between 10 and 20), I can no longer save it correctly.  For example, if I add a particular text field from the command to be displayed.  Run the report in the designer then all is well.  But if I save the report and re-open it then the data field that I added has been replaced by another, totally different field.  This process is repeatable!
    I tried removing some unneeded fields from the Command SQL and that causes a DIFFERENT field to replace the one I select.
    If I re-create the entire report from scratch (copy and paste from the u201Cbadu201D one) then the problem goes away for a few edits and saves; but then returns.
    This is getting very frustrating, because it takes me the best part of a day to copy the report to a new one, including copying all of the formatting and formulae, and ensuring that every field and every section has the correct properties (suppress, new page etc) applied to it.  In order to minimise the risk of it becoming corrupt I u201Csaveu201D infrequently, which can add to the frustration when things go wrong!
    Has anyone got ANY ideas?
    What can I do to prevent the corruptions?
    Is there a better way to clone the report?
    Does anyone know if CR 2008 would be any better?

    Don,
    Thanks again for your help.  I think that you are misunderstanding the problem a bit.  When I have the report open in the designer I can put the correct field on the designer surface (eg by dragging a field called u201CCustomerNameu201D from the Command in the u201CField Exploreru201D to an appropriate location).  The report then functions perfectly when I refresh (F5) and view it in the u201CPreviewu201D tab, and I see the appropriate names.  However If I close the designer and then re-open it, a DIFFERENT field, u201CCustomerBalanceu201D, is displayed both in the design view and the preview tab, and of course I see the numeric data for that incorrect field in the preview, where I expect to see a name.  The same (incorrect) data is shown when the report is run and displayed via the web browser interface (not within the CR designer).
    I have run and edited the same report on different PCs with the latest CR XI installed and on my PC with many different loads (eg just after re-boot and later in the day with many applications running) all with identical results, so I am confident that it is not resource related.
    Similarly I donu2019t think it can be ODBC related, because it appears to occur when the report is saved, closed or opened.  I am not saving data with the report.  I have now tried using the DataDirect driver, but it will not connect to the Sybase ASA database on a remote server, because it complains that procedure sp_server_info is not found.  This is only supported by Sybase ASE (not ASA).
    There are a lot of conditional fields and sections and page breaks  within the report, these are suppressed with an appropriate formula, but the underlying SQL is just passed one parameter and this is used to select an appropriate single data set (there is no hierarchical grouping or drill-down in this report).  The error is there consistently whatever parameter value is used (i.e. it always displays a value in place of a name in the example above).
    I have still not tried your stored procedure idea, partly because that will require another day to re-write the report.  I might combine that with Jasonu2019s idea and make all display all data via formulae as a first step and then replace the underlying data with a stored procedure.
    I have discovered a temporary work-around though.  I have added more sub-reports (all take the same parameter value) and replaced whole sections with those sub reports, so I was able to remove quite a few data fields from the main SQL query, because these are now queried separately in the sub-reports.  Itu2019s all working at the moment!

  • Help with Date Field Value

    I have only used livecycle for a few months, so sorry if this questions seems basic, just beyond my knowledge at the moment.
    I need a little assistance with a date issue I am having on one of my forms.
    I have the display pattern of a date field set to --    date{MM/DD/YYYY}
    The issue I am having is some users are entering the date using the  " - "symbol instead.
    Example  01-01-2000
    and other are using the correct  01/01/00 format with the " / " as the divider.
    This is causing calculations in the next field to fail because the date it formatted incorrectly.
    How can I make the field convert the " - " to the the correct symbol of " / " and still allow others to use the " / " as they are now.
    Thanks

    I was able to figure it out using the edit pattern page

  • Help with Date field

    Hi,  I am having two problems with the date field in a form I developed.  1.  One of my date fields is for Date of Birth.  When a user enters any year 1929 or earlier, it automatically converts it to 2029.  So I cannot enter in anyone 80 years old or older.  How do I fix this?  2.  When I open the form in my Adobe reader to test it as my users would I am able to use the feature in the date drop down where you click on the white area in-between the arrows at the top and it allows you to quickly get to dates in the early 1900s.  For some reason my users who I sent my form to cannot use this feature.  The top of their date drop down box is blue.  How do I fix this?
    Thanks in advance!

    For your 1st issue it looks like it might be a bug. If I overtype the year after it has been populated it will hold the right year so to me it is an interpretation of what is being passed by the calendar control.
    For the 2nd issue, th edifferent calendar is showing up because they are using older versions of Acrobat/Reader. If you click on the year in the blue header then scrolling controls will appear to the right of the year. You can click the up/down controls to cycle to the correct year.

  • JHeadstart query operator between with date field

    Hallo,
    I am using JDeveloper 10.1.1.0.2 and JHeadstart 11 Technical Release 1.
    In my Application Definition Editor I use the Query Operator 'between' on a data-field. In my Application I can see a 'from' and 'to' date field.
    Testcase:
    In my table I have 3 dates: 1-1-2009, 17-1-2009 and 18-1-2009.
    If I use:
    Date from: 1-1-2009 and Date to: 18-1-2009 in my Application I expect to see only 2 rows (1-1-2009 and 17-1-2009). But I can see 3 rows.
    So my question is: what does 'to' mean in the JHeadstart generator? Does it include the date you fill in with the 'to' field?

    I can change the text in GeneratorText_nl.properties, but this does not completely solve my problem.
    I use a DateTimeField in my Application and if I use 'Date to' in my search criteria it seems that the Time of my Date-field is being ignored!
    Testcase:
    'Date to' in searchcriteria = 13-10-2009 *12:10:00* also gives results with the same date but time greater than 12:10:00, for example 13-10-2009 *16:10:00*.
